Where to Order Delivery in Nashville, According to a Country Singer | Eater

"“Blue Coast Burrito is special because you can customize your order more than the normal Mexican restaurant. It really gives you total creative freedom,” says Walls. Her go-to is the Baja fish burrito with tomatoes, onions, and cheese—plus a side of Baja rice." - Rebecca Strassberg

An upgrade to Moe's in every way. Every staff member was friendly and contributed conversation and suggestions for my party who had not visited before. Staff delivered a bowl to our table when seeing we were splitting a bowl, which filled both of us for $12 total post tax. Complementary chips, free chip/drink refills, and beach decor interior. Would be a frequent spot of visit if I lived locally, due primarily to the friendly staff.

I have come to really appreciate this location. The food is great, but the team there really adds to the experience. They're all friendly and take care when making the food. Even labeling whose is whose without me asking- so thoughtful! Thanks Cherish, Mossi, and Scotty! You all are fantastic!

Google
Used to always like coming here a lot, but for us, it didn’t hit the spot. It’s always a bit off putting when the food on the line has hardened and still served. While the playful banter between the staff shows good culture, it makes it difficult to order when you’re asked a question of what you want to be cut off to rib other staff, to be asked the same question. The cheese has changed from a white queso, to the one shown in the pictures. Something in this cheese has caused it to harden quickly shortly after being opened. Had the consistency of thick jello than cheese dip. We’ll visit again in. Few months to see if the experience will be better.

I've been here with a friend a couple of times, and we both really like the food and the atmosphere. This place has a contemporary, relaxed feel, and is reminiscent of being on the beach.

My husband and I decided to look for a new restaurant to try, and I'm so glad we chose this one! The guy working the counter saw us looking at the menu for a few minutes, so he asked if we had been there before. Upon hearing that we hadn't, he was very quick to help and explain the ordering process and tell us about their food! I had the chicken nachos, and my husband had a burrito. Both were very large portions, the price was good, and the taste was exceptional. The pineapple salsa really hit the spot! We will definitely be back when we are in the area.

Google
Bluecoast one of my families favorites! They have really amazing Chicken Burritos and great decorations! Only thing is tables wont all be 100% clean. But every table is pretty clean so who cares! 10/10

Google
After ordering a burrito, I asked if the tortilla was made in house. The answer was no. Bad sign right there. There are many ingredients to choose from, which is great. However, in the end I somehow ended up with a tasteless burrito. We will not be going back. Also, the workers treated me with a professional indifference.

Google
My favorite spot for lunch when I’m in the area! Love the burritos (especially with their spicy chicken tinga) - but the real star of the show is their fruit tea! I dream of the stuff, it’s that good!

Yelp
Wow! A Blue Coast Burrito opened in Hendersonville and a friend of mine told me how good it is. I remembered there is one off Charlotte Pike and decided to try it for lunch today. I'm so glad I did. Huge, fresh, hot, steak burrito. Combo includes chips and beverage. Chips were crisp and fresh. Some of the best fruit tea I've ever had. With the combo you have access to the salsa bar. Considering how prices everywhere have escalated so much over the last couple of years, for what I got, pleasantly surprised at how reasonably priced. Service was fast and friendly. I like the interior; the ceiling fans, the booths, and the salsa bar. I will most definitely be back, and often!

Yelp
Cheap meat Grilled chicken and grilled meat looks lil out of a can No flavor Salsa is gross Chips are stale First time here and it's nasty Low quality food Save your money go somewhere else

Yelp
The tacos are $9 for 3, which is good, because that's the maximum price that's getting my business from such a sub-par place. When my order was made (in front of me), there was about an ounce of chicken on each taco. It was oddly chewy and lacked any rewarding flavor. The cheese was what you'll get from any commercial Mexican place: skimpy and thin. And don't get me started on the salsas... they really taste like budget renditions of Baja Burrito's salsas. The dining area was unclean, and the men's bathroom had a single shabby lightbulb hanging over the mirror. It quite literally felt like something was going to jump out at me from the darkness inside. Overall they need to up their game here. Who would want to eat here when we have alternatives like Taco Mama and Velvet Taco in Nashville? Goodness.
google avatar

Amanda M.

Yelp
This place delivers a TASTY Baja battered fish Burrito! Their shrimp tacos weren't that bad, but certainly had room for improvement. Shrimp are most likely frozen and don't reheat as well as the fish...? Anywho... the service is 5 stars, all the way! They have a tasty salsa bar and the fruit tea is worth getting hands down! I would highly recommend trying this place and we will be back for the fish Burrito, and maybe trying another variety of tacos.

Yelp
I have ordered from here through online delivery services but never been inside. I stopped by today and the place was so disgusting. There was splatters all over the walls by the soda fountain, a spider web next to the sodas, and gunk on every single surface. Ordered my food but cannot stomach eating it.

Yelp
This Blue Coast Burrito is located in the Nashville West shopping center and is one of about 10 area locations. If you are not familiar with Blue Coast, just think of it as a local Moe's or Qdoba. I have eaten at this location and the one in Franklin, both were underwhelming for me sadly. My partner was a massive Willy's fan from back home in Atlanta, so he has jumped on the Blue Coast bandwagon and while I support it, I am still not 100% there. My first issue with both locations I have visited is the service. It is never friendly. I do not expect CFA style service or welcomes, but I also don't expect attitude. Another with this location is it is never the cleanest. I get it is busy and given staffing right now, but I do feel higher priority on the cleanliness could be had. Food wise I have had the Cabo Bowl and Nachos. I feel the nachos are the way to go and worth the price, while the Cabo bowl seemed shorted on ingredients as a whole. The LaTinga Chicken is my go to protein and while they have a decent selection of toppings, but not having corn salsa does make me sad plus the upcharge for sautéed mushrooms, onions and peppers is a bit much for me, especially since the amount you get does not match the upcharge. Overall, I am middle of the road about Blue Coast. I will eat it when my partner is after it, but will not go out of my way to swing in.

Yelp
Great food and awesome service! I love the salad and go to Charlotte Pike at least once a week.

Yelp
Night shift was awesome super nice and understanding really went the extra lengths to make sure I was taken care of. EMPLOYEES OF THE MONTH RIGHT THERE. Gave great service and filled the space with a great vibe. Got it to go, but still very quick and easy and with all the great service you expect from a waiter/waitress. Great job

Yelp
Really overpriced for medicore, bland "Mexican" food. No flavor whatsoever. The food looked like it had been sitting out for some time as well. Extremely overpriced for the lack of quality. The employees were very nice but that's unfortunately where my positive remarks end.
google avatar

Misty N.

Yelp
We used to go here often....the staff was friendly, talkative and appeared to truly appreciate us as customers. However, that's all changed. We walked in today. They weren't busy at all but apparently speaking to the customers is no longer common practice. The guy behind the counter pointed to the rice. Husband says yes please. Guy points to the black beans. Husband again says yes please. Guy stands in front of the meat. Didn't say a word or even point. Husband says 'chicken' and he slings this completely dripping wet chicken on top of the beans. Gross! Next guy again does not speak. Husband says cheese, pico and pineapple salsa. Other guy slings a tad bit of each onto the bowl. Sad display of customer service. We will never go back. Never. I do not recommend!

Yelp
My favorite burrito place in Nashville. Been going for years and it's always amazing.

Yelp
Pretty good tex mex style food. My favorite here is the fruit tea. The salsa is good. The burritos are huge. I like the pick your own toppings concept. Good spot for lunch. Queso is good too.

Yelp
We have never been here before and we needed quick and easy because we had our puppy with us. I ordered a wheat burrito and probably added just about everything on it. This place is way better than Chipotle because they actually know how to cook their rice. The jalapeño hot sauce is probably the best I have ever tasted!! We live in Texas and we will definitely keep an eye out for this burrito joint in the future. FYI: This place has a patio and is dog friendly!!

Donnie L.

Yelp
Great food, great management Friendly - a once a week eating place for me! See ya again soon

Amy Jo B.

Yelp
I just love the food here! The Baja fish tacos are the best and also the "bowls" are delicious as well if you're trying to eat healthier.
google avatar

Tricia W.

Yelp
Decent but the salads always are super watery and I'd you order to go they will 8 out of 10 forget your chips or give you the fewest they can put in a bag even though you paid for them... Usually good but I guess some of them hate their jobs because they skimp majority of the time... Good for the price nonetheless

Jay H.

Yelp
Man... y'all are so ahead of the game right now! I live by and doordash from the one in Smyrna. At least y'all aren't skimpy on ingredients and you don't mix the burrito. I've been eating at various locations for over a decade and I wish to God they never started mixing them because it changes the flavor profile. Anyways, keep up the excellent work! I'm on my way back all the way across town to get my lunch from here today!

Todd E.

Yelp
Always great food !!! Ready when it's supposed to be, and reasonable pricing. Yum oh

Yelp
Great food, amazing service and great tunes on the radio!! Thankfully Dylan (mark) came back, and David and Tim are super cool! I'll be back!!

Sara K.

Yelp
Love this local spot. Staff are always friendly, which gives that mom & pop feel. It's a nice oasis nestled among the bustle. It's always very relaxing and has an unlimited salsa bar! Food tastes like it's out of a home kitchen. I also love bringing my kid here - they have yummy paletas!

Samantha R.

Yelp
I absolutely love their salsa! The burritos are ginormous, and I have never been dissatisfied with anything I have ever gotten there.

Kelli H.

Yelp
The staff was so Friendly, didn't get overwhelmed & made our visit so enjoyable. They helped us when we needing extra things

Yelp
I was a little suspicious of this place since it was in a strip mall part of town and well, the staff seemed even more suspect to me and it made me want to turn around and give the pizza place a try. However, I found the staff to be helpful and when I was having trouble deciding what I wanted he gave me his input and said that the nachos were the best thing on the menu. I went with with and was shocked by a huge plate with not just a lot of chips but he was generous with the toppings as well, particularly the La'Tinga chicken and the queso sauce that was running through everything. When I finally sat down after watching all this put together I sat down and tried to eat all of it. The chicken was slightly spicy and soft and with all the veggies and in it, I could have easily have just eaten that by itself minus chips. Throw in Jarritos and Las Paletas and I am a fan

Stacey S.

Yelp
One of our favorite places to eat. We eat there multiple times a week. The staff is always very friendly and go out of their way to make our experience wonderful every time!
google avatar

J J.

Yelp
This was not good. Nothing had much flavor. The veggie protein I tried was cold. The beans had that weird powdery texture and I also bit into a few really hard pieces of rice. The staff was friendly and the space is nice for a quick lunch, but man...that food needs some help.
google avatar

Blake R.

Yelp
I came in late after just arriving to Nashville. I was looking for a quick healthier option for a late dinner. I came in 10 minutes before closing time and the staff was friendly. I ordered my food as quickly as possible so as not to delay them any getting out of there. I appreciate their service even though they were in the process of cleaning and shutting down. First experience with this restaurant chain and i was some what impressed. Only knock I have is that they didn't have any spicy sauces! Get some spice please! I would have had a picture but as soon as I got to my destination my uncles dog knocked my food off the table!! Luckily the container was still closed and it was salvageable! So no pic!

Yelp
Mixed review. Really wanted to leave a 2.5 star, but I'll be nice and give em a 3. Last night was my first time there. We took a big group, but not a "huge" group. We went after church let out. It was only a group of 10 young adults (we are all over 18 years of age). We were quiet, we were not disruptive in any way. The food was good, especially considering it was my first time there. The downside is how ride the guy was to us. At 9:92pm he came and said word for word in a very heavily sarcastic, full of attitude tone: "we close at 9, so you might want to hurry up and get you and your friends out of here." Okay...I get it. We are sorry, we didn't realize you closed at 9. We didn't realize we had stayed over by two measly minutes. But one of our group members was not finished eating his nachos. They could've at least let us stay until he finished those. Or, if we absolutely had to leave that very instant - dude could've been nicer about it. We aren't gonna let this keep us from going back, but just a heads up to Blue Coast, you may wanna teach your employees some manners. Great food, much better than Chipotle. I tried there one time and was not a fan of the food at all so I was hesitant to try blue coast. Had the staff been nicer, this would've been an all around great experience. Again, the food was fantastic. That guy with the bad attitude is my only issue out of this whole thing. The girl that was on staff last night, she was super nice. The guy was the rude one. Great food, bad attitude.

Casey M.

Yelp
the incredible employees at blue coast never let me down! as a large family, we love eating out but don't do it regularly...so family night is such a gift to us! the food is wonderful, they're killing it with getting our order correct & they know us by name! that is service that isn't easily found these days! thank you guys for giving us nights together as a family with no cooking!

Chris M.

Yelp
So first is i'm never the person to make a big deal but worked around the area and came here quite a few times than one day went to my bank account and saw that i spent 16$ here Didnt have my receipt but came to the conclusion that my 1$ tip was actually changed to 5-6$ so fast forward 3 months i never pay my card for anything anymore

David W.

Yelp
Grabbed lunch here the day after Thanksgiving and was underwhelmed. Ordered two steak tacos and a fish taco, along with a drink (fruit tea) and chips. The steak tacos were good, but too salty and also sloppily made. The fish taco was almost inedible. It was basically a frozen fish stick wrapped in a tortilla - totally unacceptable. Chips weren't fresh or tasty. The meal cost over $14, which I'll be disputing with my credit card.

Yelp
Love this place! Friendly service, great food, and overall it's fairly healthy. Burritos are always great, but they serve these Spicy Beef Chorizo Tacos that are off the hook. The management goes above and beyond to make sure customers have a fantastic experience. Take a minute and pay them a visit.
google avatar

Hailey M.

Yelp
Food was awesome but lawdddd the service was a hot mess. Bless em. I ordered fish tacos twice and he started to make tacos then said "what meat" bruh. Then they scrapped those tacos after I said it would be fine to just add the fish on them (cause that's not how they do the fish usually), then they made them wrong again lol. They left off my beans and rice and had to do it as a side. Long wait but good food and I ain't mad
google avatar

Alexandra F.

Yelp
Not a fan of these fish tacos and wasn't in the mood for a giant, sedative burrito. But anyway, I ordered the fish tacos. Not a fan of the copious amount cilantro. I almost ordered it without, but in my mind, like salsa, I thought there was be just a touch. I had to go grab extra napkins to wipe my cilantroy hands. As I was pulling off as much as I could, I noticed "there goes most of that sauce I can't even taste". The cabbage is ok. The fish was good, but not super crispy. To me a baja fish taco is all about the sauce and I don't even taste their sauce. All I taste is the cilantro and I'm sure glad I ordered no onion. The corn tortillas also take away from the overall taste, whereas flour tortillas would have allowed the fish to shine a little more. Also the corn tortillas were SO soggy. Inside and out. Why so soggy little tortilla?? Everything was so damn soggy. Did they set this out in the rain for a second right before it went on my tray?? The place inside is nice and clean. Lots of tables, but no booths. Outside patio looks really nice. Hey, maybe their burritos are better than the fish tacos? Hopefully? Lastly, I did make some friends at Blue Coast. Friendly little fruit flies. It never hurts to have more friends.

Yelp
Delivers an "As Expected" make your own Burrito Chain. The bonus here is the Pineapple Salsa, which is really good and they also sell Las Paletas Gourmet Popsicles. Overall my experiences here have been just fine. It's nothing to write home about, but you get what you come in for.
google avatar

Yelp
This place reminds me a lot of the Chipotles we have back home, but with a kicked-up flair. It is a la carte for everything, and you go down the line and pick what you do/don't want on your tacos, burritos, salads, etc. It's like the Subway of Burritos! I got a taco salad and my husband got the best burrito he's ever had. It came with a lot of spicy messy stuff. He didn't like the consistency so much (he's not much of a gloppy, messy eater) but he said the flavors were really, really good!). My salad had a LOT of flavor. I got the ranch dressing on the side, but I didn't even need it because my salad had enough flavor! They had kid's meals which was really nice. My son got the quesadilla, and my daughter got the two tacos. These don't come with a drink, however, so they just had water. I love the salsa bar they have off to the side. You can help yourself to a number of different salsas--some spicy, some not. All were delicious! The only downside I could see was that they didn't have just regular beef for the kid's tacos. My daughter was disappointed with the chicken. The girl loves her some beef! They also serve a limited about of alcohol--your basic beers! I got a coke, but I would have gotten a margarita had it been offered (a girl can dream).

Yelp
Great food, staff and atmosphere. Definitely recommend trying. Manager was very friendly and went out of his was to accommodate us.

Yelp
Love this Blue Coast! The food is always fresh. Love the manager. He always makes sure everything is right with our order and always makes sure we leave happy. This restaurant has been put into our weekly rotation for dinner. I would definitely recommend this location.

Yelp
Very tasty! Really enjoyed the fish tacos. Friendly young staff. Love the Baja fruit tea!

Yelp
We eat here regularly. Good family place with fresh ingredients. I love the la tinga chicken.

Yelp
Blue coast is a local favorite that I often find myself craving. This Mexican restaurant is so fresh and good every time! In addition, the pineapple salsa is SO GOOD! And the chips are the best I've ever had! My favorite dish is the Cabo Bowl. Simply, it is a bowl that has the contents of a burrito that you can customize (rice, beans, choice of meat, pico de Gallo, cheese, lettuce, cilantro, cucumbers, and more) finally, the Cabo bowl is topped with their amazing queso. Sounds great, right? Among the Cabo Bowl, blue coast serves tacos, burritos, nachos, and more. Also, the staff is ALWAYS friendly and helpful. I have been there many times and I've haven't had a bad experience service- wise.

Hannah B.

Yelp
I am visiting my fiancé and we had seen some pretty good reviews so we decided to give it a shot. My fiancé got a burrito and said it was good (but he will eat almost anything). I love tacos so I got 3 different ones (pork, chicken, and veggie). When I went to eat them the tortillas completely fell apart despite there being 2. The tortillas themselves tasted like cardboard so I opted not to eat those. When I ate the filling they were cold and flavorless. All three disappointed me, but the pork was the best of the three. We also got guacamole and it was ok but lacked flavor. The chips were kinda soggy. When we got our food the workers were not very friendly. I regret spending my money here. Save yourself from a disappointing meal.

Yelp
Two 10-inch burritos + large guacamole (which came with a huge bag of chips) = $15+ Not too shabby. The burritos were yummy, the counter service was good, the restaurant was clean. I liked that Blue Coast has even more options than Chipotle in terms of adding fixings into your burrito. You want garlic mushrooms in there? No problem. Scallions or olives or onions? Sure thing. That said, some things could still use a little improvement. In particular, the chips were good, but a little over-salted and slightly stale tasting. Similarly, the guac was probably fresh, but might have been sitting out a little while and was thus slightly brownish in places. (This isn't a horrible thing - guacamole will turn brown faster than two shakes of a lamb's tail, but it still isn't the most appetizing sight in the world.) In short, I think Blue Coast kicks the pants off of Baja Burrito. And it's nice to support a local Tennessee business instead of the Chipotle behemoth (even though I like Chipotle's burritos too).

Eric H.

Yelp
It's hard to mess up a burrito. Guacamole was bitter/old. Beans hard. Salsa tasteless. Big on portion, not on flavor or quality ingredients.
google avatar

Alyssa D.

Yelp
I would give five stars because the tacos and quesadillas are the bomb. However, there are a few members of the staff who need to grow up and act like professionals. On New Year's Day we went in for lunch. My mother and I were asked if we wanted "rice or black bugs" on our tacos and if we wanted "cat, dog, horse, or goose meat." I politely said rice only and chicken to which he replied "so you want the cat?" I was not going to leave a poor review until today when, I believe it was the same employee, asked if we wanted a combo and we said yes. Then with a smirk he said "Oh. Sorry. We're out of chips." We both gave him confused looks since the chip bin was clearly full. Then he said, "it's supposed to be a joke." If something like these two incidents happens a third time my family and I will be taking our business elsewhere. I would gladly eat at any other Blue Coast. This particular employee just makes our experience unenjoyable and slightly uncomfortable. Please manage your employees customer interactions more closely. Had he said the first of these two statements to anyone else, you could have a possible lawsuit on your hands.

Yelp
Great alternative to all of the fast (or fast-ish) food in the area. It took me a few trips to get my order down to something that I know I'll like every time, but now I'm good. Tinga chicken burrito, no rice, black beans, and various other toppings. They have a good selection of toppings and then there's also the salsa bar. I also really like that they have different sized burritos - sometimes, I'm just not that hungry. Recommend.
google avatar

Alvin P.

Yelp
This is a good alternative to fast food and certainly better than say Taco Bell. I've been here a bunch of times, and I really haven't found much fault with them. They are located inside a pretty large shopping center, so there is plenty of parking nearby. Also have some outside seating as well, but I've never tried it out, always got takeout. The choices are standard, burrito, quesadilla, taco, etc, and you fill in the toppings. I'm vegetarian for the most part, so all I've really tried is the veggia burrito, consisting for rice, beans (black or pinto), veggies, peppers, cheese, pico, olives, onions, guacamole, and salsa. Or a quesadilla with similar makeup. I haven't had a problem any of the times that I've tried it. The portions are somewhat large as well. The taste is good, what you expect, nothing amazing that is going to floor you, but I personally like it better than say Chipotle, because there is more flavor to the food. The workers seem friendly, albeit seems to have a high turnover rate there. All in all, this is a good lunch/dinner place if you feel like having Mexican food.
google avatar

Miranda I.

Yelp
I LOVE the Cabo bowl here! Everything Ameri-Mex you could possibly want piled together and topped with Queso. Delish! Their Salsa Rosa is my favorite salsa. I sometimes stop in just for that. It has the perfect flavor/heat profile. You just can't buy salsa like that anywhere. Not even the more traditionally Mexican places have salsa that good. The only issue I ever have had at Blue Coast happened last night. I think the guy working was pretty new. I had ordered two proteins on my Cabo bowl which has an upcharge for the 2nd protein, but he accidentally charged me for a burrito instead of the extra ingredient when he was keying into the register. The manager came and straightened it out no problem right away so no harm done, and from now on, I'm sure the new guy will be a bit more careful when ringing things up. I definitely recommend this place.
