Ate at the Georgetown location on a Sunday with a reservation at 1:00PM. Upon arrival, the restaurant was busy, but there were open tables so we were seated immediately. I did ask the hostess specifically if we could be in a quiet location, not near the kitchen or a restroom. She promptly seated us at a table in the middle of the restaurant right by the kitchen... upon asking her why she didn't sit us in one of the empty booths next to the wall, which appeared to be quieter as they have high banquette's on both sides, so she obliged.
Our waiter arrived promptly and asked what we would like to drink . The Blue Corn Margarita is one of the best margaritas I've ever had, anywhere; the sweet pineapple and orange with the Habanero syrup, lime, and cilantro is a unique and winning combination.
After sipping on our drinks for a few minutes, our waiter promptly appeared again and asked if we would like to order. I must say, service was 'spot on'.
I ordered the BBQ Burger, and my dining companion ordered the Stacked Wild Mushroom Enchiladas with the Mole Verde sauce on the side.
The burger came out perfectly prepared as I requested , and I also asked for a ramekin on the side of the hickory sauce because I am a 'dipper'.
The burger is charbroiled, and the combination of the cheddar cheese, hickory sauce, pickles, and onion are perfectly proportioned, and the burger is not one of those 'belt busters' that you'll regret eating 10 minutes after you finish it. The steak fries that came with it were thick, as they should be, and came out hot and crispy on the outside, tender on the inside.
The Stacked Wild Mushroom Enchiladas were a huge hit; cheesy, but not all cheese, with a hearty dose of the mushrooms and spinach, diced tomato, and the mole verde sauce was delicious. A verde mole, with discernible hints of the typical ingredients of a traditional mole. My dining companion was unsure about the mole verde, so we asked our waiter about it and he was totally informed about what was in it, and mentioned that the mole verde was one of the reasons people order this dish. Was delicious.
Both the requested extra ramekin of barbecue sauce and the mole verde on the side also arrived as requested; a testament to the kitchen, the expeditor, and the waiter; so often you request extra this or extra that and it doesn't seem to make it to the table when they bring your dish and then you have to wait for it. Not the case here.
The dining room is pleasant, basic but clean, if not a little outdated. However no complaints.
I definitely recommend eating at Blue Corn Harvest at any of their locations, the food is consistent and the service and attentiveness is good.
