"Given its founders Ellen Chen and Mario Del Pero are the force behind the ever-popular (and expanding) Mendocino Farms, it's no surprise Blue Cow delivers. The menu features California-style small-plates, salads, and entrees (including one of the better fried chicken sandwiches we've had) coupled with a pretty stellar cocktail list. Go for the turkey meatball flatbread and kale Caesar and grab a seat outside-it's one of the best patios downtown. It's also an ideal spot for happy hour or dinner after a visit to The Broad. "

I came here during lunch and ordered the shirt rib pasta while my husband got the rigatoni. Both were delicious and arrived quickly. We sat outdoors on the patio and it was very cozy and great for drinks or a quick lunch. The service was superb. Will definitely be back again for lunch and some drinks next time!

Couldn’t agree more with all the positive reviews. For what it is, the place succeeds in every possible way. Boisterous sports bar vibe with a sophisticated edge. Craft beer and outstanding creative cocktails. Creative food choices and everything I had was very well put together. And the service tops it all off. Super quick lively slim girls dressed in black. With a big smile. Please check this place out! It is so much better than you would expect. And make sure you try the pink eggs.

Pros: Went here for Happy Hour. HP menu had a good selection of food and drinks, with tasty pizzas that can be shared with a couple of people. Good ambience and decor, friendly service, close to many landmarks, including the Walt Disney Concert Hall and Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. Cons: Somewhat hard to find, located in the bottom level of the plaza.

The food was simple. It tasted fine just not very interesting for the price. The location is ok. The bar list was ok. The food was expensive even at happy hour pricing. The staff was friendly and brought our order out quickly.

Finally tried this place for lunch despite working down the street for 3+ years and walking by all the time. I always assumed it was more expensive than it is. Prices are very reasonable for the level of food, service, atmosphere, etc. We tried the brussel sprouts and I got a BBQ chicken salad. Brussel sprouts were rich, crispy, saucy and delicious. Salad was well mixed with a good amount of chicken, great dressing, well balanced and a nice portion size. Service was on point: Attentive without being overbearing. Never once thought "where's my server, or leave me alone already". Definitely will return, as a salad here is barely more than a quick stop takeout place in the area.

Loved it. Food was delicious and I thought at a fair price. We have a pizza and chicken sliders and an Alcohol beverage. The sliders were the best. The decor was also cool. I passed the restrooms because the doors blended into the wall art. The only thing at is bad is the parking, need to get lucky with places near downtown.

The house margarita is obviously made with quality tequila, slight clean, smoky undertone. The margarita was also a good strength and not too sweet. Try the pizza with corn on it, sounds weird, tastes devine.

Large outdoor patio. Friendly service although only saw our waiter once. Food was good. $$.
