"Wifi: Yes You have to pay for the wifi ($1 an hour) at this Richmond cafe, but the cozy spot is still a great all-day option for getting work done. It looks a bit like an eclectic living room filled with art, mirrors, and bookshelves everywhere. And while you’re getting work done, fuel up with coffee, smoothies, and a bagel or roast beef sandwich." - lani conway, julia chen 1, ricky rodriguez

"You have to pay for the wifi ($1 an hour) at this Richmond cafe, but the snug spot is still a great all-day option for getting work done. Blue Danube feels more like you’re sitting in a friend's eclectic living room than a coffee shop thanks to all the art, mirrors, and bookshelves everywhere. And while you’re taking care of business, fuel up with espresso drinks, smoothies, bagels, or a roast beef sandwich. photo credit: Melissa Zink" - Julia Chen

A true neighborhood gem that has stood the test of time for over a decade. The consistently friendly and welcoming service makes every visit a pleasure. In the afternoons, it’s a popular spot for those looking to work in a relaxed atmosphere. My go-to favorites include the customized, freshly-made juices (the Dynamo with added beets is a must-try), the Greek wrap, bagels with cream cheese topped with sprouts, cucumbers, and sun-dried tomatoes, and the tuna sandwich with side-salad. The inviting vibes and warm hospitality have kept me coming back.

Parking is street parking, meter or residential. It is one of the local shops, where you can find coffee drinks, wine, breakfast, salads, sandwiches, and small eats. Prices are reasonable. Coffee drinks are ok, not bad to sit down and take a break.

Enjoy coming to this coffee house when I have the chance. The cashier is extremely friendly, and accommodating. The atmosphere of the coffee house is relatively social...strangers will engage in conversation, and you'll see lively groups of people rather than just laptop and work. Good variety of coffee and sweets, and the atmosphere promotes a sense of coziness and warmth. Always happy to stop by.

Love love love the ambience! People are friendly and fun to talk with. This feels more like a neighborhood coffee shop. Just had an espresso, no food so can’t comment. But left with an impression that I want to be back if I am in the neighborhood again. Gorgeous cafe!

I absolutely love this cafe. There food is always good. I had a brie and pear panini which was a nice snack and a loose leaf mint tea in a cute tea pot. It's so cozy to sit there and work. It's amazing it's been around all these years.

Nice little coffee shop. The good is very very good, but the coffee is a little lack luster. I had the hummus plate and my husband had the yogurt with granola and fruit, both of which were tasty. Comfortable environment though. I didn't use the WiFi but you do have to pay for it if you didn't so be aware before you camp out here for awhile.

To pay a separate charge for internet at a coffee shop is a disgusting anti-consumer practice perpetuated by this cafe. The profits derived from this scheme are outweighed by the icky feelings and loss of customer goodwill. $2 for subpar WiFi is outrageous; complimentary internet for patrons should be a given. Do not support this business that will squeeze its customers for a few more dollars instead of cultivating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.

Really nice place to sit and work. The vibe is hippy and homey. I got the breakfast burrito - the American style and it was very filling and came with a fruit cup. I enjoyed the chai latte and my friend enjoyed the eggnog latte (4/5).
