"Blue Dogwood Public Market celebrated its grand opening June 15-17 with an array of permanent food vendors spread throughout the indoor market space. Patrons got a taste of gluten-free items from Pizzelle Bakery, handmade sweets from Chocolatay Confections, Persian dishes from Rumi Persian Café, and more." - Katie Toussaint

Food and beer simply amazing. Alley beer is the best added with Nasi Lemak or Curry Laksa Noodle soup. Must try. Hopfly Tropical Ticket is good.

Nice little addition to busy Franklin Street in Chapel Hill. Gives us even more interesting food options to choose from in this new food court/hall. They are still very very new as of June 17, 2018 and has tremendous scope to grow and put in more businesses but the concept is excellent! Check their website for new hours and list of vendors! We will certainly be back!

Great food at reasonable prices. Like the friendly atmosphere and supporting small local businesses. Nice okay area in the corner for kids that might normally get bored during meals with adults.

They lost my favorite butcher and I thought I would never go back. My son brought me some BBQ last month that even cold, was outstanding. I went to have in person last week and was blown away. The storefront was very slick and the food was some of the best I've eaten all year. That mac, those beans...the sausage! That being said, the overall market needs to polish itself up. The ambiance is somewhere between a construction site and a Tibetan bazaar...it's off-putting. I'd really like to see more high quality vendors as well...pickings are slim to say the least. The bar had some lovely local options, but unfortunately it had closed early. Chapel Hill needs this!

Half and half on a persian plate evidently means two separate entrees. Would've been good to know before checkout.

Last week our family ordered 'take out' from Bouquet Garni to celebrate granddaughter's graduation. Chef Eric met us at the back door and helped place all of the carefully wrapped dishes into the car. He kindly instructed us on how to heat and serve them. Every dish was incredibly delicious and artfully prepared. The bonus sauces were amazing! Our gathering included people who are vegetarians, vegans and those who enjoy meats. Try the fruit and nut filled bread pudding for dessert! Thank you, Chef Eric!

Was traveling from 3 hours away and came in to eat because of all the vegan options and loved EVERYTHING! The Persian food, soul food, Latin American food, and the bakery were all so yummy and the staff was very friendly and helpful. the food was amazing and I had Such a great experience!

Nice people. Pretty chill atmosphere. Lovely choices. Love the vegan food. The Peruvian was very good also. I got half and half and it was not "two plates." I'll be back to try the deserts!

Yelp
My knowledge of Chapel Hill starts and ends with Franklin St. and this food hall is such a great addition to it. Blue Dogwood Public Market is more of a food hall and collaborative space with multiple vendors and an event space for cooking-related classes. It's so heartwarming to see ALL LOCAL vendors at this location considering the development going on in and around Franklin St with multiple chain restaurants and stores coming up every other week. I was there on the opening weekend so this place wasn't completely functional yet. But I still had a chance to look around and taste some food too. I had a gluten-free cannoli from pizzelle bakery (everything here is GF) and it was awesome! The other vendors include: *Soul Cocina *Vegan Flava Cafe *Common Bar Area * Pizzelle Bakery * Rumi Persian Cafe * Left Bank Butchery * Chocolatey Confections There's a great outdoor seating area too. Can't wait to check this place out when it's fully operational.

Yelp
Concentrated selection of locally sourced food when the Carrboro or Chapel Hill Farmers Market is not an option! Its in the same shopping center and shares the same parking lot as Nail Trix. I was delighted to walked through this venue one day I was short on time. I hope to come back here when I have time to look around since theres options for coffee and warm dishes! They are located at the end of the shopping center on the opposite side of Franklin Street. Their sign is a little bit hard to see from the side thats closest to Chipotle so go walk past Nail Trix away from Franklin Street and you will see it! Kind of hidden!

Yelp
It took me too long to finally visit Blue Dogwood, and on a sunny May day I'm glad I did! From the ever-amazing Left Bank Butchery - purveyor of only the best meats - to the well-draughted bar and each restaurant in-between, Blue Dogwood is an inconspicuous gem of Franklin street. We split plates from the Persian restaurant Rumi and from the vegetarian latin-inspired Soul Cucina. We tried amazing eggplant stew, tender meatballs, and a wonderful Persian rice at Rumi, and the enormous tamales and sweet-tender maduros at Soul Cucina. Everything together, even a generous pour of Ponysaurus from the Blue Dogwood bar same to maybe $30. Plenty of seating outside under shade made for a great Saturday lunch. I'll be back for Left Bank sandwiches, inspired vegan at Flava Cafe, and a few mimosas.

Yelp
Rumi cafe serves delicious Persian food! We enjoyed thee lamb shank and the the chicken fesoonjun( pomegranate and walnuts). There are 3 others food stalls to choose from.

Yelp
Excellent collection of eateries under one roof. My favorites are Persian cafe and bakery. Thank you guys for what you do!

Yelp
Hidden gem that houses a myriad of little local eateries. Food trucks without the trucks. Something for everyone.

Yelp
I posted this review earlier in the year and it has mysteriously disappeared from the listing without any notification to me as to why, so I'm posting again: Very difficult to find in the back end of a strip center and parking is a nightmare. The space is cold and sterile and the too-loud music did nothing to make it more inviting. No customers but me when I walked in just after 2 on a weekday - maybe they get a lunch rush and then that's it? Vendors were nice but some were too pushy, so I guess they need business. Update: walked by the market this week (early November) and they have a guy from Blue Dogwood selling CBD oil right out on the street, so maybe the vendors have changed and it's not about food any more.

Yelp
Really great food market with an eclectic selection of carefully sourced and prepared food. We tried a bit of everything and were really happy with everything, especially the bbq.

Yelp
Lots of options to mix and match some delicious combinations. Plents of vegan offerings plus chocolate and beer to round out the food groups. Love the fact everyone is smiling in this place.

Yelp
This is exactly what Chapel Hill needs! Loved the tacos at Vegan Flava (who knew Vegan tacos could be that good!), the lamb shank at Rumi Cafe was incredible (hands down best in Chapel Hill), and the arepas at Soul Cocina are amazing. This will definitely be my new lunch spot!
