Blue Elephant Bangkok Sukhumvit Thai Heritage Cuisine

This is the second and newest Blue Elephant restaurant in Bangkok. It does not disappoint…. set within an absolutely beautiful garden setting and historic home, it is an oasis that will transport you to a bygone era. The service is impeccable. There wasn’t a time in our three hour dinner that we felt ignored or forgotten. The dishes were all delicious and presented with care. What I also appreciate is the choice of white or brown rice served hot from a traditional Thai rice basket. GM Khun Channa Amara and his capable team make you feel right at home. Everyone is attentive and deliver Thai hospitality that is warm and authentic. We now have two great Blue Elephant restaurants to choose from now. Go, you won’t be disappointed!

What an amazing meal at Blue Elephant. We went for the heritage set meal and got to try a good range of of their food specialty. The service is amazing - their attention to detail makes you feel comfortable and welcomed. Definitely a recommended spot for delicious Thai food with great service all round!

At this point the restaurant is just trading on reputation. While every item was good, at these prices, I expect every item to be excellent, and they were not. This is not my first time to Blue Elephant. It feels like a once great restaurant is just coasting to retirement. Maybe it's because everyone else has caught up but why come here when you can get the same quality at half the price elsewhere?

Interesting concept, great location (old Thai house with nice garden). Heritage Thai cuisine, with trained staff and system. Food is good and tasty, small portions and considerable high price. Staff should better observe when guests are talking and not to disrupt the guests (while trying to explain the dishes etc.). The toilets as mentioned by various are too small and too little….

We tried the traditional Royal Thai Cuisine. It was a good experience. A wide variety of ingredients from appetisers to dessert. The service is superb. Onny serves us well and explains every dishes in details. She speaks good English too.

A fine dining Thai restaurant with exorbitant price for their local. It is a bit pricey if you are a tourist depend on which country you are from. The food is pretty good and authentic, and it decorated nicely in their pretty utensils. The atmosphere is excellent.

The food by itself is fine, not spectacular but decent. The service is fine and the staff make an effort to explain each dish. But our seats were so windy with the aircon and the staff apparently couldn't do anything about it. Maybe bad luck. The toilets really need an upgrade. I think this place has potential but needs more time to figure things out.
