Google
still good food and good service after all these years. No a Michelin one star, but beautifully presented, varied and tasty. Some are not perfect (overcooked chicken, uneven sorbets)

Awesome and magnificent place. One of the nicest restaurant in Paris with a little cascade and a little bridge where you can see some fish. The food is perfect, I'm usualy not fond of thai but here it was very good. The royal menu is @58 euros pp and allow you to taste 5 starters and 5 main dishes, go for it blindly. The soft are expensive but globally it is worthwhile. Service try to be of very high quality even if it's not always perfect.

I visited the restaurant spontaneously for dinner with 3 friends. When we arrived, we were immediately told that the restaurant was full. As we were leaving, we noticed that the restaurant was 1/2 empty as you can see from the attached photo. So we left and called them to make a reservation instead. Of course they had availability and they told us to come in 15 min. When we returned to the restaurant, the host once again said “we told you we don’t have any availability” (so rude). We told him we have a reservation that we just made over the phone. He was embarrassed and said "yes sure no problem". The food was ok but the behavior of the host makes not want to return to such place.

Google
Absolutely wonderful experience. Beautiful decor, great service and the food is excellent, the same great quality as Thailand. We took the menu royal which is a lot of food, all delicious.

We were a couple having dinner on Friday night. We ordered the Royal tasting menu and were disappointed. The food was very average and far too expensive for what it was. You'd be better off going to a small Thai restaurant somewhere else. Service was poor. Decor was nice. Definite tourist trap and you can find much better elsewhere in the city at a much lower cost. We won't return.

Yelp
It is hard to find a good Thai restaurant and one would think it would be almost impossible in such a "hoity toity" city like Paris, but Blue Elephant blew me away. I found the restaurant, like I find most of them, using Yelp and asking friends or family if they had ventured out to have a meal there before. Well, in this case, I had to rely on Yelp alone. So I put on my walking shoes and walked about a mile to the restaurant. The walk was fabulous, and the street where Blue Elephant is hidden on is lined with a miriad of restaurants that made me wish I could eat several more times that night to try all the different cuisines. I was met at the door by the host who sat me in a corner. That was alright by me, the establishment was packed and lively. I ordered a glass of water Massaman, and Tom Ka Gai. The waitress was Thai and she asked me in her broken French if I wanted anything else and I answered in my Google French that I wanted real Thai flavor and spice. She smiled and I hoped she understood. In a short while later I was brought my dishes and I hoped that the flavor of the dishes would meet the expectations I had from the smell of the food being presented. The dark and fragrant Massaman was presented with a bowl of jasmine rice which I have a suspicion was Jasmine/ginger rice. And the Tom Ka Gai smelled rich with a hint of coconut. There was nothing to complain about. The waitress had understood what I had told her. The dishes were spot on and exploding with flavor, so much so that I was sweating and had to stop several times to allow for my tongue to rest. Lol I can't wait to be back in Paris to enjoy this restaurant again.

Yelp
We had the pleasure of going to Blue Elephant in Bangkok and didn't want to miss the chance when in Paris. The decor is absolutely beautiful, almost as if we were back in Bangkok. Beautiful waterfall, red bridge and trees and plants surround the tables. The food was absolutely incredible and just as amazing as we remembered it from Thailand. The Mushroom Soup (spicy!) is absolutely the highlight of the menu and the one dish we remembered from Bangkok. It was simple yet complex with incredible spices and flavors. We chose the Green Curry, Vegetable Fried Rice and Pad Thai Noodles. The Green Curry is an absolute must on the menu as well. Creamy, spicy and very authentic, it was the perfect dish. Pad Thai noodles were sweeter than I was expecting and from my usual experience so it was a more underwhelming. As we were heading out, I was handed a beautiful flower to end of wonderful evening. I would highly recommend Blue Elephant! Its a beautiful restaurant with amazing food and quite the change from the norm in Paris.

Yelp
I'm not sure what the fuss is about. The place looks and feels expensive, but the food leaves a lot to be desired. My apologies in advance for not remembering the exact dish names since they were all in French: Green curry with chicken - ok Spicy beef stir fry dish - ok Pad Thai - ok I have not been to Thailand but I eat a lot of Thai food in NYC. I feel that the food I get for $10 at home beats what I paid $30+/dish for at Blue Elephant. Service was great and the restaurant was clean. This place doesn't make it to my list of recommendations.

Yelp
I came here with my dad and my cousin who is studying abroad here in France. She heard this place was awesome from someone and we decided to give it a try. We decided to make reservations (since everything that is good seems to fill up FAST), and we were glad we did. It was totally bustling with people when we arrived. The decor is amazing. It really truly takes you to a different part of the world, in a good way. It was really beautiful. My cousin and I were getting a kick out of all the decorations and statues and plants they had covering the place. We ordered 2 Pad Thai dishes, dim sum, spring rolls, and chicken satay. I was bummed that they didn't have pad see ew, which is my favorite Thai food dish, but I figured they might not have it for a reason. It took us a while to get the attention of the server to place our order... But the food came out surprisingly fast! It was wonderful. The two Pad Thai dishes were very yummy and flavorful. The dim sum texture kind of weirded me out, but my dad and cousin loved it. The spring rolls were glorious and I highly recommend those. The chicken satay was pretty standard. Very chicken-y. Those 5 dishes seemed to be the perfect amount of food. We consumed every morsel yet we were satisfied but not totally stuffed. When we left, a man behind some desk gave my cousin and me a pretty orchid stem. Such a wonderful touch at the end of a meal.

Yelp
The decor and ambiance was amazing. We ordered the Red Curry, Tom Yum Soup, Pad Thai, Black Pepper Prawn, rice and a bottle of wine. The portions are smaller than what is served in the US (but that may just an European thing). I didn't understand the hype but it may be because I wasn't a fan of the strong fish smell/flavor in the food. The food and drinks were slightly over priced imo.

Yelp
Just having the Crab dim sum, beautiful flavours with a hint of heat which is good. Matching with a nice Chablis

Yelp
Service is TERRIBLE. Some of the worst service I've ever experienced at any restaurant. I'm used to French service, which can be leisurely. This place just plain neglected us and we were seated in the middle of the room. We arrived 5 minutes early to our reservation, were seated right away and proceeded to sit for 20 minutes without water or a menu. We asked for a menu and were given one in French and a drink menu. We ordered drinks and requested an English menu and sat for another 15 minutes before requesting again and finally given a couple English menus after 40 minutes of being seated. Another 15 minutes go by and we had to flag down a passing waiter to ask for more water, our drinks (30 minutes after ordering them) an appetizer and to place our food order. Meanwhile, parties who had been seated after us were given drinks, appetizers, entrees, and had paid and left. I finally flagged down the guy who looked like the manager and asked about our food. He apologized, rushed into the back and we got one entree about 20 minutes later and the other about 10 minutes after that. No discount on the bill. We spent close to 2 hours in this place. We didn't even have the opportunity to order more than one drink because no one ever came to check on us. With that said, the food was good which is why I'm giving it one star. If I could give it no stars for the service, I would. I also would have complained, but we didn't have time because were running late to our show (thanks for that, btw). Decor and atmosphere were nice. Worst service ever, however.

Yelp
Service, ambiance, food and everything sooo excellent.. Pricey but really worth..I will come back for sure. Really bring feel so Asia.. LOVE

Yelp
We got tired of all the rich French food and decided to try Thai. Our concierge recommended The Blue Elephant. The restaurant creates a rain forest atmosphere with plants, trees and flowing water. it just seemed a bit too contrived for us. The service was efficient, but nothing special. The food was very traditional Westernized Thai food not bad, not memorable. My biggest disappointment was that the Blue Elephant in Paris turned out to be part of a widely dispersed chain of restaurants around the world. We were hoping for a French version of a Thai restaurant not the P F Changs of Thai food.

GT M.

Yelp
This is the best Thai restaurant in France according to my family. The decor is enchanting and romantic. The waiter will offer you a beautiful flower. The service is perfect. The flavors are incredible. The size portions are great. If you feel like enjoying a relaxing and awesome evening, just try them!

Sheri C.

Yelp
The restaurant is covered with flowers, Thai statues, and tropical trees that instantly transport the diner to the heart of Thailand. In addition, the service is professional and polite. My husband, a friend, and I ordered two "Le Menu Royal" which comes with a variety of appetizers, main courses, and desserts that gave a broad taste of what the menu covers. Everything was perfectly done. We also had the Crabe Mou Samoon Prai (soft-shell crab), which was delicious. However, it was a mistake to order Tempura De Lotte. We were expecting flaky, light tempura, but this dish was heavily deep fried which just made us feel bloated. Coming from NYC where I always eat run-of-the-mill Thai food that's always good and cheap, I was pleased to discover a high end Thai restaurant in Paris. I will definitely return to Blue Elephant.

Sabin C.

Yelp
Solid thai food far from Thailand. I have been to the one in Bangkok and this is just as good. I had the chicken satay which was yummy! The peanut sauce is bang on. The mrs had the mixed veggies and rice. The soup she said was unreal and one of the best she's had. The cab driver was really happy that we were going there! "very good choice monsieur" The decor is really nice with tropical plants all over the place. Prices are high though, since it's such a hot spot for the locals and tourists alike.

Eric B.

Yelp
Sure the design of the restaurant is very nice and cosy, the service is up scale compared to most of other Thai restaurants in Paris. But if the menu is richer, and the ingredients definitely of a much better quality, the result is not stricking brillant or as surprising that I would have expected with all the above. perhaps all the starters and entrees should have come much warmer at the table to fully appreciate them It goes a bit too much on the pricey side for the experience. Go / No Go: It all depends you favor the restaurant experience or you're very much about the food above and beyond the rest.

Janine W.

Yelp
I can't say enough good things about Blue Elephant. From the moment you walk in you are enveloped and transported to another place. The creative drinks, wine menu and starter the comp you with to the main dishes and desserts. All fresh ingredients, not too salty or overly hot, but made to your specifications. Definitely my favorite Thai place in the world. During our visit to Paris we went at least 4 times. If I could give it 10 stars I would.

Steffanii B.

Yelp
Simply delicious! Shred 3 different entrees and all were amazing. Flavorful and filling. Try a bit of everything.

Victor C.

Yelp
very expensive for what it is. The staff isnt very nice. The food is very un-interesting. The decor is good only if you're into Disneyland. I would stay away.

Josh R.

Yelp
Part of a worldwide chain this place is a high-end thai restaurant. I'd recommend going there once for the experience but I didn't feel the need to come back (even though I did a couple of times). The decoration of the place is amazing, and this is truly what gives you the feeling of dining at the other end of the world. The place is huge, with several floors but the vegetation and the table arrangement gives you the impression of being relatively isolated. The food though is underwhelming, the spices are not really balanced: some dishes are bland while others are super spicy without proper warning on the menu. The waiter will usually push you to get the tasting menu which ends up being super expensive. Otherwise, most of the dishes are quite good, but not much better than in any decent thai restaurant.

Jessica S.

Yelp
Service was horrible. Waiters were slow and totally disrespectful. It took an hour for us to get our appetizer. We watched multiple tables get seated after us and get food within 10 min and leave before we even got our appetizer. I was given THE HAND by a waiter when I tried to ask for my check. Was completely blown off and treated very poorly. I'm angry. This place disgusts me. Will never return.

Yelp
Simply the best. It was about 150 Euros for my ex boyfriend at the time and myself. We went there to enjoy, and that we did, all the nook and crannies, every detail was not untouched! I loved this place and cannot wait to return with my boyfriend!

Jay B.

Yelp
What others find contrived, we found charming. It is a chain, albeit upscale. The ambiance is definitely over-the-top rainforest, but to be honest, after all the hustle & bustle of summer Paris traffic, it felt like a nice refuge. The food is very very good by Western Thai restaurant standards, but it is also very very pricey. All in all it made for a very nice non-French dinner break.

Gaurav S.

Yelp
We used to enjoy eating at the BE, but the Paris location is mediocre at best. Thai flavors and spice are toned down to "thai food being sweet". Pitiful waste. There are better restaurants in Paris for far less. But the decor is fabulous!

Aakriti J.

Yelp
The decor in this place is nice (and they gave me a flower at the exit!) it's a good date spot, and the food is also okay

Kunal M.

Yelp
Some of the best Thai food i've ever had, actually it probably is the best!

Jochen R.

Yelp
behind a not really impressing front door you find a much larger restaurant with a remarkable "jungle-"feeling due to an overwhelming botanic decoration. besides this visual effect a very authentic thai-kitchen is presented. the soup (tom kha gai) was creamy&hot like expected. the curry (gean kiew wan gai) was spicy and hot, a little bit more thai basilicum would result in a perfect dish. the mai thai wasn't as good as expected.

Cityvox User (ga1i1e…)

Yelp
Chic Franchaise Very pleasant surroundings but at 50 euros a pop per person I would expect better cuisine. I was also annoyed at their 'service' apparently (at least at weekends) you can dine between 19H30 and 21H30, then they make you pay your bill and get out to make room for the next suckers. I've lived in Paris for 7 years and this is my worst deception. Don't go there if you want to spend 'quality' time. The Pattaya is far less pretentious and you don't have to dine against the stopwatch.

Cityvox User (smzin2…)

Yelp
Execellent dining This is the best thailandais restaurant in paris, the food is excellent, service is too good, and what to say about decoration, its feels like you are in thailand,

Jazzy B.

Yelp
I have experienced better there - I remember we went to this restaurant for my 40th birthday and the food was fabulous! Had the opportunity to go back to Paris recently and just HAD to have dinner their again. Sad and disappointing. The gentleman waiter upstairs was lackluster and just going through the motions with his careless and sloppy service. The flavour of the food was boring and unexciting - toned down - small portions at high prices. Everything tasted the same - We shared the Royal Menu at E52 p/p - should not have bothered. How annoying that I now have to scratch this one from my memory - it's been listed as one of my favorites for years and years and now it's not.

Madhana K.

Yelp
We booked dinner for 3, the service was OK, but like a fast food joint. i have eaten in blue elephant at brussels and london. But this has to be the worst thai food ever. We ordered 3 different main courses and all had the same taste. The chicken tasted like a rubber. It is a disgrace to thai food and blue elephant establishment.
