Absolutely wonderful dining experience. High quality, fresh, and delicious seafood and burgers. We enjoyed the calamari, oysters, fries, and some great entrees. I brought some friends and family whom were visiting from California. They were very impressed by the ambiance of the facility and were equally impressed by the outstanding service of the staff. My brother said and I quote “the south is not half bad when you consider places like this” Our compliments to the chef. We will be back.

I recently visited Blue Gill in Gainesville and overall had a really nice experience. I started with the buffalo cauliflower appetizer, and let me just say , wow. Easily one of the best I've had. Though I wish it was more crispy, it was just the right amount of heat, and super flavorful. That was definitely a highlight for me. For my main, I tried the steak special of the day, which came with a corn salad and pasta salad. My friend had a salmon dish with risotto and (I think) green beans. We both agreed that while the quality of everything was solid, some of the side pairings felt a bit mismatched. Maybe it's just my palate, but I wouldn't typically think to put those particular items together. It didn't quite flow the way you'd expect from a well-composed plate. The food, in general, could've used a little more seasoning, not bad, just lacking that final punch of flavor that really elevates a dish. That said, everything was cooked well and beautifully presented. My steak was a perfect medium, and honestly, that and the cauliflower were my favorite parts of the meal. I do wish I had gone for one of the burgers or fish tacos, they looked and sounded amazing. I was left wanting just a bit more overall, but the quality is there, and I'd love to come back and explore more of the menu, especially the appetizers. I tried the coconut cream cake but sadly it did not taste like it. It tasted like fish and I think they had the cake next to it or close to it because it was infused in that taste. I was so looking forward to trying it but sadly was disappointed. Our server was enthusiastic about the menu and was great with giving recommendations. Truly energetic and attentive throughout the whole night. So props to them having an amazing server line up.

Coming from someone who worked at Blue Gill for 5 months while attending university, I can say during my time there I witnessed an incredible team putting their all into providing the most delicious, top quality dishes and excellent service to each and every diner that walks into Blue Gill. Chef Bert (also the owner) cares immensely about freshness and quality (he constantly mentions to us employees that he is happy to pay a premium for his sourced local produce & fishes to ensure each dish comes out FRESH & as best as can be). My family has dined twice during my time working at Blue Gill and my father (who used to own an extensive fish business in Russia) said that this was the only place he is willing to go eat at. Mind you my Dad only cooks at home, has fish for his meals every day, and has a very sensitive stomach. To see him this excited about Blue Gill’s food was heart warming!!

The family and I were in Gainesville on errands when we decided to get a late lunch. Did the usual Google search for the cuisine we wanted, and found Blue Gill Quality Food. It had offerings we were interested in, and they seem to be well reviewed. Honestly, I have no idea where the few one start reviews are coming from. When we arrived, a friendly staff member greeted us, and we were seated right away. The server came and got our drink orders, which they brought to us right away. After looking over the menus (everything sounded delicious so choosing was a little difficult), we ended up deciding on the roasted brussels and calamari for appetizers. Both were quite flavorful, well presented, and fresh out of the kitchen hot. The calamari was lightly dusted with breading, whereas most places serve it lightly battered. The best part? It was cooked perfectly. The roasted brussels also were delicious, and again, cooked just right. For entrees, two of us ordered shrimp and grits, while I had the salmon. The shrimp were plentiful and pretty good sized, the sauce zesty (it is tomato based if you're not used to it that way just be aware), and it perfectly matched with the cheesey grits. The salmon was also cooked very well. Definitely no dry salmon here. Hot, juicy, with a good seat and wonderful flavor. The risotto it is paired with was quite wonderful. All entrees came with a nice assortment of fresh veggies (green beans, carrots, and I think white carrots) cooked in such a way that they retained much of their flavor. Overall, the food left us very pleased. The staff were always friendly and courteous. Portion sizes were fair, with price being on par with what one would expect with fine casual restaurants. I definitely rate this place a must try.

Google
I really enjoyed the ambiance and the friendliness of the staff. The drink I ordered was excellent—not too weak at all. I especially loved the appetizers, particularly the raw oysters and the fish dip, they were fantastic. While the fish tacos were just okay, my husband enjoyed his fish dish as well, but the beans were a tad undercooked. 😬 For the fish tacos, I think they could use a little more seasoning to give them a bit more flavor, but overall, I would definitely order multiple appetizers next time because they were so well-prepared. I would certainly go back and give Blue Gill a four out of five stars.

I’m a true Foodie at heart, and Blue Gill is one of my favorite restaurants. We used to attend their location on 13th street before they moved to Archer Road, and our experience every time we go is ALWAYS wonderful! The cuisine is has a southern charm, and you can tell everything is cooked from the heart. The atmosphere is very elegant, and feels like home. Alex, the manager, is always so nice and accommodating and Hannah is one of our favorite waitresses. Always an 11/10 experience!

Google
I went with a group of 4 friends and was disappointed. It’s not the same Blue Gill that I remember and enjoyed. Two of us rated our meals as a “7” [wordfish dinner with chorizo saffron aioli — no vegetable (?); soft shell crab dinner with spanish potatoes]. Two of us rated our meals as a “6” [cod fish tacos with a side salad substituted for homemade potato chips; beet salad with calamari appetizer]. One friend ordered the shrimp and grits, and it came covered with a tomato-based sauce and vegetables (see pic) — NOT your traditional shrimp and grits. A manager came and showed her the menu description and explained the tomato-based sauce as a new spin on the classic dish and graciously allowed her to order a different entree. The atmosphere is not as cozy as the former location — more industrial, warehouse style, which made it difficult to hear conversation. There is an outdoor dining patio that looked nice. The menu is MUCH smaller than before with only 5 or 6 entrees (described as “larger plates”) with more “shareables” and along with fish tacos, a couple of sandwiches, and salads. We all agreed that the flavors were bland and the seasoning was sparse. You have to request salt and pepper because they are not on the table. The service was good but not very cheerful. Overall, very disappointing. I don’t plan to return.

Google
The atmosphere and service were exceptional however the food was not. I ordered the fish tacos. The tortilla was stale so much so it was split on the bottom (both of them) - way to much toppings and the fish was very fresh but lacked much seasoning. It could have been a great meal.

Yelp
Loved this place. Wasn't sure what to expect at the new location but it worked really well. The drinks were amazing. The food was really good but small portions for the price. They were knowledgeable about GF and the service was great.

Yelp
This review is broken up into two parts. One a review of the dining experience. The other a commentary on Service Charges. 1) never been here before. Tried it before going to a sporting event. Service was nice. Seated quickly. Ordered an appetizer and then review the menu. Waitress came back and took the rest of our order. Waited quite a while for the appetizer. Soon found out why. They brought out the entrees and the appetizer at the same time. We were told that the first try on the appetizer didn't look good. This conch fritters they brought looked over cooked. We sent them back My wife had the chicken pate spread. It was okay. I had the fried tacos. They were okay. We did not have dessert. 2) this new trend of service charges has to go. Raise your menu prices and let the market place decide your success. What encouragement do you give to your waitstaff to excel when they are subsidizing your cooks and dishwashers? I added 8% to the check. Good to know everyone gets to share in your tip. Needless to say between the average meal and the service charges we fortunately have other options in the area.

Yelp
Husband liked the oysters. Good Old Fashioned and good apps - fritters and tomatoes with dill deviled eggs.

Yelp
Wow wow wow!!!! food quality is AMAZING!!!!! Excellent service and the restaurant is stunning!!! we ate here not once but twice in a row! My favor thing was the lobster salad with lemon creme fraise! and the banana rum parfait is the best dessert I've ever had the pleasure of eating!

Yelp
So Blue Gill has reopened in an amazing spot in the Butler Town Center near the Cheesecake Factory. My mom made reservations as this was my pre-birthday dinner on Thursday night. We arrived at 6:45pm and it was pretty lively inside. The interior is very nautical with color schemes of blues and very clean and pretty light fixtures. It was a bit loud so keep that in mind if sitting inside. Once we were at our booth, the server was very attentive and nice. I ordered a spicy passionfruit marg as I saw it on their Instagram page earlier that day. It was definitely packing a punch with fresh jalapenos and was balanced with the tartness of the passionfruit. I enjoyed my drink especially since it was not sweet. Because my mom brought a menu home - we were very prepared for our dinners. Let's just say our eyes were larger than our stomach. We started with conch fritters, fried oysters, buffalo cauliflower, crispy calamari, and fried green tomatoes. When everything came out - it was all very hot and fresh. Everything was delicious - but the standouts were the fried green tomatoes with the deviled egg mousse that was creamy and complimentary to the briny tomato. Also, the buffalo cauliflower had a kick! I was shocked because most buffalo sauces are on the saltier side but this one was good. We did ask our server to box our appetizers as we didn't even finish 25% of the food before our entrees were out. For our entrees, my dad ordered the shrimp and grits, my mom ordered the catch of the day which was Pompano, and I ordered the swordfish. My entree was amazing. The swordfish was buttery and cooked to perfection. It was with Spanish potatoes in a rich tomato based sauce and was topped with an aioli sauce. Everything on the plate was seasoned very well. I did end up taking my food home for leftovers. My dad was not a huge fan of the tomato based sauce with the shrimp and grits but loved the veggies. My mom loved her dish as well with the green beans and potatoes. Overall, I'm so excited that I finally got to try this place out and looking forward to enjoying lunch here soon!

Yelp
We actually ate here twice in a row! The lobster salad won our hearts. We enjoyed our time at the bar both times and our bartender Alyssa was the best ! The menu is really well put together. Everything we tasted was incredible. Another favorite thing was the spirit-free Tomatillo-Pepper Martini. I loooove tomatillos and this was phenomenal!!!!! As it's in the name, the food is truly quality here. So delish and such a nice vibe.

Yelp
Tried the Spanish Braised Potatoes and the Fish Sandwich. The potatoes were served hot, with a delicious garlic aioli that added a nice touch. They had a flavor reminiscent of fancy tomato soup, but the chorizo was underwhelming--just two slices and barely noticeable. The Fish Sandwich featured good-quality fish and leaned on the bland side. The standout of the dish was the chips--perfectly seasoned and absolutely delicious. Nice crisp too. Service was nice but it took a while for them to check up on our table. Overall, a good experience with room for improvement.

Yelp
Have been 4 times. It's been good, not so good, and just OK. Consistency is tough. How can they put a caesar salad on the menu without anchovies, and none in the dressing? what is up with that. I don't have an issue with getting with the added gratuity, I did see kitchen staff delivering food instead of it sitting under the heat lamps. I could go on, but why bother. Not going back.
google avatar

Hayli Z.

Yelp
I went because I saw these cute drinks on Instagram and I was suckered in! The pink is a spicy drink - not a fan and the yellow pufferfish was a strong rum drink. Too strong for me. They were also more expensive than other drinks so I wouldn't get these again. I'd like to come back to try some of their veggie appetizers and sides though. Really nice location and nice outdoor patio and friendly service.

Yelp
My family and I share our daughter birthday here. All the food was delicious the service and everything we will be going back my wife and I for a date night. I have pictures to show you all the different things that we ordered there and all it was delicious.
google avatar

Sara W.

Yelp
Food was not near the quality when first opening. Prices are high when very small or no extras served with meals. Lobster roll is nauseating and served with very salty chips. Not much to eat for $28.00. We will never eat there again.
google avatar

Chandra A.

Yelp
I have visited this restaurant twice. The service was great and both times the manager stopped by our table to make sure all was well. Both times were pleased with our food of which we ended up bringing home leftovers.

Cynthia H.

Yelp
My daughter just relocated to Gainesville to work on her doctorate and we chose to dine at Blue Gill because we wanted seafood for dinner. We were not disappointed!! The staff there is super polite and friendly, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. We will definitely be back!

Brian B.

Yelp
Nothing special. Service was fine. Don't think the food is anything special for the price.

Idania A.

Yelp
Used to love this place - it was our go to spot for celebrations and to meet friends. New management and location have deleted everything that made it special. It now feels like a cafeteria, not cozy at all. The staff had minimal training and no one seemed to know about us/our order as several people kept coming by with the same questions. The food, wine, liquor menu have been seriously downgraded, yet not the prices. We will not return.

Yelp
I recently stayed at Hotel Eleo in Gainesville and Blue Gill is located on the main street in front of the hotel. I decided to go there since it was a 5 minute walk but I really regretted my decision. When I first arrived there was a sign at the front that said "wait to be seated" I waited about 10 minutes and watched 5 ladies, including the bartender look at me and walk by without a greeting. I eventually walked to the bar and asked if I could order from there, the bartender reluctantly said ok, to go (even though there were patrons sitting and eating at the bar). The bar was dirty and was not wiped down so I said that was fine. I asked for the fried shrimp meal with collard greens and cornbread. The food came out hot and quick and the shrimp looked good. When I got back to my room I opened my platter and started to eat. The shrimp were fried nice, that's the reason they received the one star. The cornbread was dry, hard, and not seasoned. The collards greens were very tart and tasted awful. I would never ever recommend anyone to this restaurant.
google avatar

Debra P.

Yelp
I will recommend but wish I loved my meal more. I was so disappointed in the fried oysters. So tiny, soggy and 2 don't taste right. The rest of the meal was fine but the fried oysters kind of ruined it for me

James K.

Yelp
All the food we ordered was excellent with a great wait staff and ambiance! It was super clean and everything was fresh!
google avatar

Nancy O.

Yelp
We came to enjoy seafood My daughter ordered the lobster roll What came out was a few morsels of lobster with no mayonnaise or anything else on a cold white hot dog bun pathetic. And we paid 28 dollars for this

Victor Y.

Yelp
Expected a wonderful food experience but was surprised by the quality of the food. I ordered sweet ice tea and after three attempts I settled for unsweetened tea. I ordered the fried chicken and it came and was terrible. It was overcooked and reminded me of the turkey in the movie Christmas Vacation. It was so dry I could only attempt to eat one of two breasts. My greyhounds loved them. It also was noisy since there were hard surfaces everywhere. The quality was no way near old location. I was embarrassed that I had asked a couple to come with us. The prices were in the Embers range and customers need to realize that a 12% service charge is added to all bills so be careful adding your tips at end of meal.
google avatar

Vyshak C.

Yelp
Solid food, even better dessert. Have been here a few times for private events in the side room to the right of the main restaurant, and have always been treated very well. The cocktails are great, the chicken and pasta dishes have been tasty, but the highlight has always been the chocolate cake dessert for me. Will definitely be back, if just for the cake.
google avatar

Yelp
We came here to try this place for the first time.Recommend you post that you're not taking walk ins today 12/16 at 12:36pm since we just tried and we were told reservations only. My family and I with little ones were turned away. Restaurant was empty but yet they didn't want our service.

Yelp
The Blackened Corvina was delicious. Broccoli, Creamy risotto, soft mushrooms, with a fresh, well-seasoned Corvina. The Blackened Catfish with cheddar grits and collard greens tasted great, but the last time I substituted green beans instead. This time I kept the collared greens, and it was part of the reason why I deducted a star. They had sand in them as they weren't properly washed. Fried green tomatoes were great. The breading was not as impressive as some places I've tried, but overall really hit the spot. There should be more fish on the menu for being a seafood restaurant. The atmosphere is cold and not suitable for dinner, with typical "seafood shack" style. but the menu items would be perfect. The music was straight Beetles and ELO the entire time, which again leads me to believe their guests are primarily familes. I enjoyed drinking the Tequila Rose, however the Margarita was served in a mason jar with no salted rim and left me disappointed. There is a 12% gratuity added.

Margaret O.

Yelp
I would like to ask if anyone has visited Blue Gill and received a hamburger bun instead of the brioche roll as noted on the menu for your fried fish or buffalo chicken sandwich? What about a hot dog bun instead of hoagie roll for the shrimp boy? Service and food was great for lunch, however disappointed received hamburger bun instead of the brioche roll for the buffalo chicken sandwich. Parking garage above restaurant for easy access. Would recommend but select different menu item. Did not order alcoholic drinks.

Robert K.

Yelp
Pro Good food. Reasonable prices Con We thought we'd have a late lunch and decided to have a margarita with our food. The food portion with a calamari appetizer came to about $55. Okay, but the two margaritas totaled $40. Wow, what a surprise when the bill came to almost $100 for a lunch. After tip it was well over $100. I lived in Las Vegas and never paid close to $20 for one margarita. I'd go back for some food but never order a drink there. I take responsibility and should have asked but the waitress could have advised us that the drink was going to be pricey. I would have declined and just had water.

Yelp
I've came here a few times with friends and it's been pretty average overall. Food wise, I've had the shrimp and grits and the brisket sandwich. The shrimp and grits presentation does not look appetizing at all, but it tasted decent. The brisket sandwich was better than the shrimp and grits. The meat inside the sandwich was flavorful and perfectly cooked. The chips that came with them were pretty interesting. They were extremely hard and coated in sugar. They weren't my favorite, but they weren't bad either. This place is a bit pricey, but they have affordable options and a decent happy hour. Prices for the seafood dishes are very fair. I'd compare this place to Bonefish with a smaller menu selection. At the end of the day, I do prefer Bonefish more than Blue Gill. Although I haven't had a terrible time at Blue Gill, I haven't had an amazing experience either. Overall, it probably will not be my go-to spot, but I wouldn't mind coming if my friends suggested it.

Yelp
Overview: 4/5 We went to this place with a couple of friends from the Santa Fe Raider band. We had time to kill in between shlepping the band trailer to an away game. Nice way to stay cool and kill some time with cocktails, laughs and good food. Ambiance : 4/5 This is a trendy Art Deco atmosphere with plenty of seating for large and small groups. We had a sizable group of 9 that was seated quickly in the back of the restaurant. Food/Drink 5/5 The dishes were interesting creations of Bert Gill. Some may consider it too exotic but I did not. I started with a red ale beer that was cold and tasty. I usually sample a couple before ordering craft beer but we were in a hurry. I ordered a special which was "Trigger fish" with Mac and cheese and fresh vegetables. All were excellent and complimented each portion of the dish. Service : 3/5 This as OK, nothing exceptional. I felt the specials should have been on a menu. I had to crank my neck all the away around over my shoulder. And I still couldn't read them because I didn't have my glasses. So the waitress ran thru them quickly and I just picked the one that seemed interesting. So I lucked out. Conclusion : a solid 4 star restaurant. I would want to go with just my wife and when we had more time to truly take it all in.

Yelp
I had heard a lot of good things about this place from coworkers and finally got to give it a try with them at the end of this summer. Gotta say the place lives up to its expectations! We went for lunch and I ordered the brisket tacos. The corn tortillas were a little hard to bite off (I'm also just more of a flour tortilla gal so I wasn't a huge fan of this piece) and chewier than I would have liked. Other than that, the brisket itself with guac and pico-- delicious!!! Sometimes brisket can be too salty but that wasn't the case here. It was a delicate balance of flavor with good texture. I'd also like to give a shoutout to the side salad that had some pickled onions on it. I'm a fan of vinegary salads so I really enjoyed the acidity of the onions with the crunchy carrots and cucumbers. Big fan of the overall atmosphere-- clean and modern yet a little rustic and homey aka water was served in mason jars and I loved it. Service was friendly. Would come back again to try other stuff and stare at the cute wall art!!

Yelp
First thing, parking is in the garage above the restaurant and it's free. We drove around a few times looking for a nearby parking spot before we figured it out. Our first visit here was memorably good. Cocktails were delicious and food was very satisfying. The daily specials were uniquely tasty and substantial. Desserts elicited smiles and oh-ahs from my companions. Service was very friendly and helpful. They even laughed at my old dad jokes. Menu prices are very reasonable considering the quality and quantity. Many dishes could easily serve two if you're not ravenous. We will be back whenever we're in Gainesville.

Roberta E.

Yelp
Was excited to visit Blue Gill at their new location. We arrived with a newborn in a car seat and were seated in a corner by an emergency exit (I assume to keep the baby out of the way of other diners) even though we requested a half-chair/half-booth table to accommodate the car seat. We were told that we couldn't be seated where we requested because large parties were coming in for those tables, although the large tables were still empty when we left. Even in the corner, the noise level from all of the hard surfaces was high. Server was welcoming and friendly. He made some suggestions for appetizers when we expressed our surprise and disappointment that the pimento cheese appetizer did not survive the move on the menu, even though the pimento cheese is available on a burger. The fried chicken was overcooked but the parmesan risotto is still wonderful. Our server saved the visit, but we sure do miss the old location and menu....

Yelp
Pretty good classic American food with nice ambiance and service. I wouldn't go out of my way to go here but if you're nearby it's worth a try.

Yelp
It's on the side of the university that doesn't get heavy traffic. Food was ridiculous. Started with the curry pork empanadas and fried Okra. Both were the highlight of the meal. (No pics) Must try them. I got the crispy pork which was great, and I really enjoyed the zucchini casserole. Daughter said the roasted chicken was one of the best she has had. It came with homemade Mac and cheese. Wife liked her BLTP sandwich, but it paled in comparison to the other 2 entrees. Good size restaurant, with high quality food. If we lived in Gainesville, it would be our goto place.

David B.

Yelp
Service, food quality and prices all 5 stars. Always take a picture of the specials written on the chalk board up front because that's the way to go! However, the pork rind chicken is great if you want to take half home for leftovers!
google avatar

Sandra B.

Yelp
Extensive menu for lunch and dinner. We had lunch with quick seating and terrific service. We loved the appetizer - fried chips with bacon and blue cheese. For salads we ordered off the menu ( it helps to have a local know these things) Calamari Salad. It had mild spicy aioli sauce with buttermilk dressing. So yummy! Or of us had BLTP (pimento) sandwich which was good as well. Dessert was sharing of the coconut cake- such a sweet delight!

Yelp
Once you get past the gauntlet which is their parking situation, you will be rewarded with good food. I came to try this place because it's the first spot in Gainesville that I saw served chicken livers and they did not disappoint! They were crispy, well-seasoned and large in size. They even come with a taste of heavenly fresh pieces of bacon on top of them. I substituted garlic potatoes instead of slaw, which were awesome. All for 10 bucks. The one thing that's a bit awkward for me is the setup of the place. There are only three good tables (near the front my window) and the rest are deprived of light and you're sandwiched between the kitchen and the bathroom. But I guess that's just the architecture of the place.

Erin M.

Yelp
Not kid friendly. Food was not enjoyable to my kids. Has some off the cuff menu items.

Yelp
Blue Gill hosted a holiday party for 24. It was an hour of appetizers and drinks followed by a plated sit-down dinner. They exceeded all my expectations! I worked with Liz putting this together. She's a rock star. Very patient with me and made great suggestions that were spot on. The private room they had for was just the right size. The staff was extremely attentive. I felt like it was a very good value for what we got. By the time we sat down to dinner, I was such a happy camper, I would have called this a success if the food were just good. The food was excellent! Our group selected their dinners off a short menu when they sat down, so Blue Gill couldn't know exactly how many of each entree they need to prepare until that moment. I was a little concerned about their ability to bring 24 dinners out at about the same time and all them well-prepared. My concern was unfounded. They nailed it. This is one of those reviews you hate to write because you want to keep it a secret. Nice work! We will be back!

Yelp
I would give 5 stars based on the customer service I received, but my food was very mediocre. I was interested in the catfish dinner, but right before we ordered they told me they were out of catfish that night. Definitely very disappointing and I wish they would've led with this as soon as we sat down so I wouldn't have got my hopes up. I opted for the burger and cheese grits since you can't go wrong with those. My friend got the fried chicken dinner. I ordered my burger medium well, and when it arrived to the table it was completely pink in the middle. Definitely medium rare. The cheese grits were extremely greasy. I could fill 4 tablespoons of grease with how oily they were. They took my burger and recooked but by that time I didn't even want it anymore. My friend said her food was okay but not too memorable. Probably won't visit again.

Yelp
I had a very nice brunch at Blue Gill on Sunday. I think the menu could use more vegetarian options, but I was able to make substitutions without any problems. I was in a large party, and the service was excellent. Waters were already on the table when we were seated. Almost all 10 dishes came out at the same time. I had the French toast. It tasted great and was super filling. I will probably try out the dinner menu now!

Yelp
I came here with a group of 6. It's a nice spacious restaurant that can easily accommodate groups. The service was great and server answered all our questions. I ordered off the specials of the day menu which is on the restaurant wall and not on the regular menu. One of the dishes was lamb based and the other fish. Unfortunately, I can't remember the exact name of the dishes. Both were pretty good. The dishes were a bit pricey in my opinion.

Yelp
Very cool place to eat lunch or dinner! We went with some friends and had a wonderful time! The selection of drinks and wine are great. They have a wide selection of different appetizers, main courses and desserts. They also have a daily special. I shared the Yellowjack fish and it came with a Parmesan risotto- it was delicious!

Yelp
I've been coming here for several years and have never been let down. The food is unique and delicious every time! I love the seafood specials and the roast chicken. The drink menu is also unique with specials every week. The fried pies are out of this world! Staff is always friendly and welcoming. Beautiful space with tall ceiling and big windows. Stacia

Yelp
The food was good and fresh. The shrimp and grits was tasty but too saucy. The pork shank was great and the appetizers too.

Yelp
Excellent service with accommodating waitstaff. I highly recommend the shrimp and grits which was in a tomato based sauce that was delicious. It wasn't spicy or salty but plenty flavorful. I will say the shrimp were also fresh, not of the previously frozen variety. Their salads look really good as well. I will be back here!

Yelp
Food was disgusting Got the blackened cAtfish and got it fried but I never had fried that taste like a bag of salt omg couldn't even eat it, then tell the waitress and she replied with thanks I'll let them know...soda was flat...food took forever and we were the second table on the whole place...food was way over priced and overall everything sucked...veggies were bland no seasoning what's so ever! Don't waste your time or money

Yelp
Had a group dinner here on a Saturday during an away game, and they were super accommodating. (And nice bonus, it wasn't loud like everywhere else in Gainesville!) The drink menus are good - some cool cocktails. For groups of a certain size, they limit the menu but it still seemed to include the most popular items. I got the brisket and swapped out one of the sides for the maple collard greens and oh man, the collard greens were delicious. I could eat an entire plate full of them. Parking is free in the garage on weekends and weeknights, by the way.
