To preface; I order from Blue Goose all the time. Today in particular, I was feeling exhausted and reeeeally sick from being in the first trimester of my second pregnancy.
I called in the order, and sent my dad to pick it up for me. He waited for a time that was way beyond normal, but finally got the food and I was just happy that he was on his way! You could imagine my disappointment when he arrived and there was no salsa in the bag anywhere. This may seem small, but to a pregnant woman feeling extraordinarily sick, it felt like a huge loss. We decided to call the store and just see what could be done, hoping for at the *most* a refund or just an apology-- but you would never believe the incredible customer service we encountered!!!
The manager, Carly, had spoken to my dad at the store when the order was taking longer than normal, so she knew our situation from the get-go. She apologized and offered not only a giant order of salsa, guac, and chips, but she gave us a $25 gift card!!
Carly turned what was a really crappy day for me, into a really awesome day. Moments like this are really what going above and beyond in customer service are about. I've never written a review before, but I just really needed to share this moment of excellence.
