Come for the tacos, stay for the frostbite. Let me start with the good: the tacos were amazing. Like, “I saw a light from heaven” amazing. I didn’t eat a single thing I didn’t like — everything was bursting with flavor, perfectly cooked, and downright crave-worthy. If they ever bottle that salsa, I’ll be first in line. HOWEVER, I’m convinced this restaurant is secretly a meat locker. I’m a warm-natured Texan — I run hot year-round. I wear shorts in December. But even I was shivering like a chihuahua in a snowstorm. I had to run to the car and grab three blankets for my family, and we STILL looked like we were camping at the North Pole. Every table around us looked like they were trying to survive the Oregon Trail. I mentioned the Arctic conditions to our waitress, and she gave me that polite smile and said, “I’ll go mention it to my manager.” But her body language told me she wasn’t — pretty sure the thermostat is guarded by a polar bear. There literally was an oversized AC vent pointing down at each table. No seriously. So yes, the food was a 10/10. But bring layers. And maybe a space heater.

This Blue Goose Cantina location was an excellent Tex Mex lunch. I appreciated the fair lunch prices and generous portions. Chips and queso were delicious and my fajitas on point. Tortillas were top notch as well. Will be back for sure next time we're nearby.

-Service was stellar. Alanah was superior. She was attentive and accommodating. -Prices are affordable and economical. -Food was tasty. My only complaint is that I would hv liked a spicy option. Free chips and salsa was great. I just wish salsa had a little kick to it. I would return and even try some other menu items.

My birthday lunch, and they did not fail! The food was delicious, hot, and seasoned to perfection! They say presentation is everything, and boyyyy as you can see in the photos. They did that. Thank you!!

The food only looks good presented very well but the taste is junk !! The tortillas were trash the salsa was tomato paste with some added onion and cilantro 🌿 what a joke didn’t have regular Mexican salsa I ask for any other spicy salsa , the waiter said we ran out of salsa last night 🤨 .pls stop naming Mexican food restaurants to this type of places this is Tex mex food . This place is like a Taco Bell .

Had lunch with my mom at Blue Goose today and the service we received from Jaci was amazing!! It’s so hard to find a server that will actually give honest recommendations and do it while smiling! We’ll definitely be back :)

Had steak and bacon wrapped shrimp. 👌🔥🔥🔥 Awesome service, great drinks, and the bartender was perfect (Max). Seen this place all my life, finally gave it a try. 5 stars

I loveee the salsa and chips!!!! Drinks are made very good. I had the hibiscus Margarita...highly recommend. The fajitas are sssso juicy and tender. I'll be returning here for sure!

The food was outstanding. In town for business, and stopped by for some street tacos. The meat marinade tasted authentic, and gave it the perfect amount of tenderness. My server, Kendal was super quick and efficiently made sure my water and coffee were always full. She was very kind & welcoming, and made me feel right at home.

Loved being seated immediately with a party of four. The parking lot was packed but the wait was nonexistent! The restaurant is bright and smells like fresh grilled food. The server Kevin was nice and understood we wanted all veggie entrees. We did pay and extra $5 for getting veggie but they were awesome! We tried two desserts and they were sweet hit and fresh. Definitely get the desserts when you visit. We will visit again soon.

Let me tell you something. I came in here one day when I got paid because I was told that this place was pricey. After being there, the prices were actually not bad at all. I loved the service and atmosphere. Not to mention that they had really good homemade tortillas that are ENDLESS! It was clean and the food was great! I suggest going for lunch time if you are looking for something cheaper but I also suggest getting flour tortillas and their excellent queso!

Blue goose truly never disappoints! From their fresh, handmade tortillas to the welcoming atmosphere, everything about this place is top-notch. The food is always made fresh, and the employees are consistently kind and attentive. I've never had a dish here that didn't impress, and their margarita flights are absolutely next level. If you're looking for great food, drinks, and service all in one place, Blue Boo is it!

The food was amazing and I especially liked the Mexican rice it truly had a homemade taste to it. The service was good. It was a little busy but our waitress was personable. The ambiance was laid back and enjoyable to dine in before heading to our TobyMac concert.

I wanted to love this place. The decor was nice and my server was super friendly (shout out to Max) but the food left a bit more to be desired. I ordered chicken fajitas with charro beans. The meat itself was good and the tortillas were homemade but felt like it was missing something. The marg flight was pretty good though!!

Service was fast. Restaurant was clean. Good queso, and salsa. I would say the chips were a tab bit salty. Asked for a new batch with no salt. They were good. Kids meals are great size to be honest. Both my kids got the enchiladas. One cream and one cheese and they enjoyed it. I order the street tacos. I wouldn't say they were that great. They're aiiiiggghhttt. I've had better. Lacked some seasoning in my opinions. My husband got the birria tacos. (First time trying something like this , so we didn't have anything to compare it to). He said they were ok but lacked seasoning as well. Overall price wasn't too bad for us all. I might consider coming back again. Maybe trying sometimes different. Still up for debate.

Stopped here in the middle of a rainstorm on Cinco de Mayo, they were packed but we were still seated super quick. They gave us excellent salsa and chips that seriously needed salt to start with. My daughter and I each ordered a margarita that was probably good but neither of us liked the tequila that it was made with (my fault, I should have asked what well they used) we both ordered fajitas and my husband ordered combo meal. Our food al came fairly quick and was excellent. Meat was tender and rice and beans were tasty. We had some green salsa served with my husband's combo that I really loved and they happily agreed to sell me a pint of it to go. We hadn't been to a Blue goose in years and I forgot how good it was! Will definitely be returning

Great customer service! Fast and friendly. The ambiance is sports bar with all seating styles (bar, tables, booths and outdoor)... longhorn Texas style. The chicken was made with fresh chunks of chicken breast, spinach and amazingness! The crushed peach margarita is made with freshly crushed peaches and is to die for! You must go!!!

In town from west texas. Ate here 2 nights in a row. The food is fantastic. Highly recommend. New Hatch chile steak was great. Beef fajitas were great the first night. I see why the Mexican Restaurant next door only had 3 cars.

Great place any time of day. A meal or drinks and snacks it's always a friendly and courteous place. Food is great and reasonably priced.

Was there for brunch on Sunday, I ordered the 3 eggs to order plate. When I got my plate there were only 2 eggs. I wouldn't be complaining about this if it hadn't happened a month ago as well and another person in our party of 4 ordered the Hatch huevos stack also with 3 eggs as advertised. He also only got 2. I let the waitress know she did see that was incorrect went to kitchen and brought back the plates supposedly corrected, this time they removed the potatoes from my plate, why I don't know, I just let it go! I asked to speak to manager and explained that this also happened a month ago she said there was a new kitchen manager (a whole month and he hasn't learned his job to teach his cooks) ! I also asked if Corporate Blue Goose was behind this thinking no one would notice, because the other person with me hadn't noticed until I brought it up and he said yes mine was suppose to come with 3 eggs as well! What a strange coincidence I admit times are tough for the restaurant industry, but guys don't take it out on the consumers thinking most would not notice! If it wasn't for us you would not be in business! Is this a trend at all the Blue G restaurants or just the one in Grand Prairie? Manager never made rounds to ask how things were until I asked to speak to her, said it was pretty busy, I was just there on Tuesday with coworkers and much more packed and the gentleman came to our table 3 time asking if all was good! Guys check the menu and when your plate arrives cuz in the long run your paying for it and someone is making more profit . I also took a pic of how the plate came out if someone asked.

Spectacular is just one word to describe this place. The service and the food was beyond amazing. I had a shrimp ceviche cocktail and the Diablo margarita. The queso was extremely delicious. I wish there was a location closer to me. I would go all the time.

This place is ON POINT! (That means it's excellent) The place is big, and busy. But even on a busy crowded Friday evening, we got a seat immediately. The staff is crushing it here. We were given chips and salsa before we sat down. We saw a table get bused in seconds. Our server was quick and kept checking on us. And the food is excellent too. Fajita plate - the steak is beautifully tender - like butter. The chicken is moist and tender and flavorful. Their queso is good - I thought it was a little velvetta-y but my gal loved it. A little loud - but festive. If you want some decent Mexican food that isn't overpriced and want excellent service, hands down go here!!!

My friend is always screaming of blue goose! We went today for celebratory drinks for her accomplishment recently and they were amazing! She knew the bartender so the service was hospitable and efficient! The ambiance is one where you can enjoy your party without disturbing the next! I'll be there again soon!

Went here b/c it was next to the hotel. This food is really good and, since it was a Tuesday, excellent margarita prices. Great service as well. I highly recommend if you're in the area.

Manager Kathrine stopped by to check on food quality and to say hello. Great food as always!! Lunch menu special prices and entrees Monday -Friday and brunch menu Saturday and Sunday. Must mention our server Akeyla! Bringing a smile and refills each trip to our table. We will return! Truest example of food quality and good service experience received. As expected here! Vegetable quesadillas were fabulous! We are returning to try their brunch menu.

Tried Blue Goose off I20. The service was great, drinks were fantastic. The food (chimichanga and enchiladas) were good. Place was clean and seemed like a great place to stop by for drinks and nachos!

I will start off w/the good - salsa, guacamole & chips are very tasty. Our server was very nice & helpful. My daughter raved about the Mango Margarita, on-the-rocks she had on May 21 so I was really looking forward it. We went to dinner on May 23 & we ordered 2 Mango Margaritas, on-the-rocks. What we got was some sort of frozen drink w/whipped cream on top in a disposable cup. I have never seen a Margarita regardless of the flavor served w/whipped cream. I told our server, "I think we got the wrong drinks." Our server said, "I'm sorry, that's what the bartender gave me. I'm not sure why it has whipped cream. Let me try again." She came back w/another disposable cup w/a really bad version of, I hate to call it an Agua Fresca but it definitely was not a Mango Margarita. It tasted like it was made from powder, not really sure what flavor they meant it to be. Also, I was confused as to why we were the only ones served in disposable cups because I looked around & no one else had them. Our server kept apologizing & said, "I am not sure what is going on tonight." I ordered the Ginger Lime Fish Tacos. The tilapia was fried beyond a crisp & very little fish in sight. It looked as if they chopped up a frozen fish patty & made it a taco. The corn tortilla had a good taste but turned to mush almost immediately so I ended up picking at my would-be tacos w/a fork. The avocado, pico de gallo, red cabbage carrot mix & the ginger sauce in the tacos was delicious. My daughter order Augie's Street Tacos. She said they were good but I have my doubts because the grilled fajita chicken & steak looked dry & definitely did not look like the picture on the menu. IMO, the bartenders put zero effort into making a Margarita which consist of 3 ingredients, add ice & shake. I think they put just a touch more effort into the food but not much more. Maybe it was just one bad/off night for Blue Goose Cantina so I might try it one more time before I completely write it off. Waste of money - such a shame.

First time at Blue Goose Cantina. We arrived in a Friday night about 6:30pm and had a 30 minute wait (not too bad). The hostess station had very pleasant individuals who were ready to take our party (2) information. We were seated in a booth. It is VERY loud in the booth area. I admit I had a very hard time hearing the server. She was very friendly and smiled a lot. The chips and salsa are very good, the chips light and the salsa flavorful. I ordered the Soft Brisket Tacos. The tacos were very good and not over sauced. I also liked the charro beans. My friend ordered the steak fajitas. The steak was cooked perfectly and was very tender. She liked the rice and charro beans. The staff is super friendly. The server was very attentive and the manager also checked on us. We really liked the Blue Goose Cantina and we will be back!

Service was horrible! Took almost 2 hours to eat - asked for a condiment by the time they got back the food was cold

Attended a Birthday Party at this location and the service was absolutely horrible!!! And the food even worse!!! One of the party guests didn't get her food until one hour AFTER it was ordered. Unacceptable!! Luckily her meal was comped thanks to the manager on duty at the time. I have given this restaurant 3 tries on different days and times and for 3 different occasions and still got the same results; poor service and bad food. Save your time and money! And please don't celebrate birthdays with larger parties because the staff may not be able to accommodate!

We visited Blue Goose on a Thursday and were pleasantly pleased about the $2 margaritas. The crowd was low and we were seated within minutes. The waiter was good. He obliged when we asked him to turn on the Mavs game on the outside TVs. The food stole the show, though. Their fish tacos were AMAZING. They were crispy and flavorful, and had hints of lime and ginger. Just wow. My mouth waters thinking about them!

Sophia is so awesome at her job and funny. We request her everytime and she keeps the laughs and the friendliness coming visit after visit. She needs a raise! Drinks are why we keep coming and she makes it worthwhile!

Chicken fajitas were tasty and presented well. Portions were generous. Chips and salsa were the best and the queso was awesome. Margaritas were tasty and decent sized. Restaurant was cute, clean, with good ambiance. Hostess friendly. Service was excellent. Our server was friendly, attentive and helpful. Would definitely recommend and return here.

Pretty nice spot, looks like this will be one of my go to spots for football season. The food was good it's really hard to fine the enchiladas with the extra enchilada sour cream sauce instead of a chunk of sour cream on top. The kids enjoyed themselves and the kids menu is a plus! Service was good our waitress was amazing.

Paying $13 for a drink small drink that's pretty with low liquor in it..... it was tasty thou just not worth it. The food was sooo Tex they left the Mex out. But overall out waiter. She was over it or she's just nonchalant about everything. Either way she wasn't warm and welcoming. She alone made me want to look for another spot. But we have to get back on the road so we ate.

The food,service & the ambiance on point with fellow reviewers. This place is huge, like the vibe of this restaurant. Food was great for the price and we left full also my wallet too. If you are in the area or close to one of there locations check this place out.

Ordered the Hatch Birria Tacos: got the Street Tacos instead. Since it was going to be a wait, I kept it. Bone dry beef and chicken cubes with cheese crumbles and pretty colored diced peppers or whatever it was, on a super-thin single tortilla that fell apart as soon as I touched them. At least I had a genuine first: eating street tacos with a fork and knife on a plate. Oh well.

We had lunch here today - table of 7. Seated at 1:40 and received our food at 2:40. Service was very slow from the outset. The lunch crowd was beginning to thin with empty tables available, so not sure why it took so long. Our server was nice but took a long time to take our drink order and then longer to come back to take our food order. When we finally received our order, a couple of the dishes appeared to have been sitting for awhile under the heat lamp and one of these was brought out well after the rest of us had our food - no explanation as to why it was so delayed. The other dish was returned because it was past being edible. Other tables seated after us received their food and even finished eating before we received ours. Nothing special or time consuming was ordered to explain the delay and our server was often not available. A visit to the ladies room showed lots of trash on the floor and had an overall dirty feel. Not sure if a manager was on duty today - just seemed like attention to detail was missing. We have dined here on a few other occasions and it has never taken so long and service previously has been better. Sadly a disappointing experience and will give us pause in returning.

Myself and a friend visited Blue Goose Cantina for lunch during the week and it didn't disappoint. We were seated immediately upon getting here and soon after a waitress came to get our drink order. This place is clean and had a great bar area and some outdoor seating as well. We ordered from the lunch menu and i ordered the chicken mushroom quesadilla. It was really tasty. The salsa is really good here as well. We were in and out for lunch so we could get back to work in a timely manner. Plenty of parking and right off the Ih20 service road, so very convenient location.

The food is really good, a step above most Mexican restaurants- they also have happy hour daily. The service is good & the atmosphere is welcoming and fun.

Stopped in to grab something to eat after coming back from Winstar. It had opened recently and was extremely crowded. It is located in Grand Prairie where the old Texas Roadhouse used to be. Even though it was crowded we were seated very quickly at a high top. It was freezing in that section so they moved us to a booth by the windows. We had 2 servers (one was training) and they were both great. They promptly got us chips and salsa. We started with the top shelf queso which was huge and very filling. We both had margaritas (one skinny and one frozen strawberry). They were very good and had a good amount of alcohol. I had the tacos and the other person had the steak fajitas. The fajitas were good but the tacos were just okay. The manager gave us some free sopapillas which were so good.

My family and I were craving margaritas and queso so we stopped by Blue Goose Cantina. As soon as we arrived, we were quickly seated at the high tops where we could watch the Mavericks vs Celtics game. Luckily we showed up on a Thursday because they have $3 specials all day for margaritas and queso! Win-win situation. We ordered the taco and steak/chicken fajita combo for 4. Everything tasted great and we were full and satisfied. Our server did an amazing job! We will be back. PSA: their queso is sooo good. Would highly recommend.

Newly opened. Front of house & wait staff very warm and enthusiastic, which was really nice. I have eaten at the Blue Goose in Plano, so I am comparing the GP location to that. 1. Drinks - not a strong point at either restaurant, but the house margaritas at the GP location were almost as clear as water and frankly, were not good. They remade mine twice. I then switched to what I thought would be a swirl - frozen rita mix & sangria. That's what I told the waiter I wanted. What I got was frozen rita mix, with strawberry puree mixed in. The house ritas at the Plano were actually fairly decent. GP needs to step it up. 2. The queso is kind of bland (at both locations) and has a Velveeta like texture. Ask for some salsa fresca and add it to the queso - it helps a lot. The salsa fresca really helps on the enchiladas as well. They do have times when the queso is $3 and it's the regular sized bowl - a very good deal, if you doctor it up! The salsa is average. I have has worse and I have had far better. 3. I had the chicken soup, which I thought was absolutely fantastic at the Plano location. The broth was complex, with tons of chicken. The soup at the GP location wasn't quite as good and had mushrooms in it - stem & all. NOBODY puts mushrooms in chicken tortilla soup! Was off putting. I won't order it at the GP location again. 4. My son ordered the Dirty Bob, with fajita steak. He said the steak was OK, could have been better. He said the refried beans were bland & the rice was OK. I actually like their rice. He did say he would order that plate again, but with charro beans. His plate came with guacamole and we both thought it fairly decent - I have had better & worse. Our waiter was super nice, made quite a few mistakes, but was quick to rectify the issues. Tables were bussed immediately and all the staff that passed by checked on us, which was really nice. They do make their own tortillas in house & have a tortilla station set up that people can watch. I think it better than Taco Bell/Bueno by far & I am hoping that with time, they improve on the food quality so that they are as good as the Plano location. I tried the chicken enchiladas at the Plano location - meh. They need better sauces (the verde sauce is super acidic and the sour cream sauce was blah) & more sauce. The salsa fresca really helps- not as acidic & has a good heat. I tried the veggie quesadillas and they were fantastic! They do have mushrooms in them, but I couldn't tell. I hope the GP location makes them as well as the Plano Goose does! I recommend giving them a try!

I am really glad to see the Blue Goose shown up in Grand Prairie. The food and service are great. Lunchtime is the best time to go since it is not too busy.

Very good food we had 6 in our party and everyone liked what they ordered. Was not real busy for a Sunday around 1 PM.

Great Mexican joint! Great queso, great variety of meals on the menu. Adult beverages are delicious. We try and make a point to stop here on our DFW adventures.

Came for National Margarita Day, and got a $3 frozen margarita & $3 chips & queso. Quality was great, but most of all my server, Clint, was the best! It was super busy and I mean PACKED, but he was still so attentive and quick. Super kind and honestly made my first time at Blue Goose Cantina a great one. I'll definitely come back here thanks to the great first impressions he gave me of this place. If you get Clint just know you're in great hands! A truly wonderful server :)

Pretty good Tex mex! Good service, never a long wait. Can get a little loud but otherwise the times I have been my food has been good.

Do not order the kids nachos they only have 3 single chips and the beans were cold they could do better the beans were also hard and very bland needs some flavor and the food took about 1/2 hours for the food to come and we got a meal of of the KIDS MENU
