BEWARE: When I told them how much I was tipping, they called the manager on the phone and had the manager speak to me!! To do something like that i wonder if they are paying their workers properly or if they rely on tips!! Force you to tip a certain amount!! Im disgusted!!! and I will not go back there and they will not get my business!!!!!. They are scamming you with added "taxes" when its actually extra tip they are charging you and if you tip them they are getting tip twice. They charged me $70 and tried to tell me to pay/add the tip and when i told her you already took it out because of how much after that they got quiet and said ok you can go... SMH 😡😡😡

I never recommend these little massage stores as they can cause injury and are over priced. But, guess who walked in here today ? Me. oops I did it again. Let me give my honest opinion. At first she was very hard on my bones on my shoulder twisting it. I hate when they do that. I told her go softer, she did go softer and I was able to relax to an extend. But it just feels like someone rubbing their hand on you. Not a good technique not a good massage. One time I got lucky here with another person doing the massage and it was extremely good but never found that person again. Another time, one person was so hard on my bones and the more I said softer the harder she went ?! I guess you gotta get lucky with the person that does it. I still don’t recommend it. They are not professional at all and it’s risky. I’m also leaving one star as they don’t respect you to keep your privacy like they walk out of the room with open door while you are faced down with no clothes on obviously or if you want to just keep a short on, they don’t respect your privacy and your preference they just remove it and rub their hand on your skin ! They should ask the client for permission. Now I didn’t mind but that might disturb another client. Like if a lady wants to keep a bra on during the massage they should not just unhook without permission maybe that’s that customer preference to keep it on. In general, I find the people that work in these stores really unprofessional but can’t expect too much. They didn’t go to college or get a certificate for the job. They barely speak English if you get lucky. I only go if I’m just really bored but better avoid these places. It’s not worth paying someone uneducated 60$ to rub their hand on you and 20$ tip for one hour hoping they respect you and not injure you.

Never been to this style of massage place before. All they do is massages, they also have foot rub chairs. Massage was excellent, hot stones and facial massage were included in the 90 minute service. Place is very clean and professional. Cash recommended but they accept cards.

I went to Blue Horizon since I was tense from her job in medicine which requires standing and moving all day long. I was initially concerned due to COVID, however this establishment follows proper procedures with cleaning and wearing masks. I went in and immediately appreciated the interior decorations and theme - the environment brings a sense of calm and comfort. The prices were also very fair considering the length of the massage and the oils that were used smelled amazing. Overall a great experience - I will definitely continue to go there.

I don’t get massages often but I’ve come here maybe 7-8 times before, i usually pay $50 for 45 mins and give a $10 tip all cash($60 total) but today i did the same thing and i was told it was no good because “she did strong massage for me” She also pushed for 1hr during the massage, which i declined. Anyway i ended up giving them a $20 tip for a $50 massage, i felt so insecure about being a cheap tipper so i googled it after and google said that 20% was standard. I rather pay more to begin with than them trying to upsell me in the moment. I agree with the previous reviews. This was a pretty awkward experience so I will now be looking for a new place now for my massages in the area unfortunately…

What a great experience. The massages are expertly done. In a clean environment. Going to Blue Horizon has been one of the best decisions I have ever made & the therapeutic effect I get from each session has truly been a lifesaver. I go 2x a week & have never felt more limber. The absolute worst experience ever. The massage was painful and then when it was done they basically force you to tip 20% . Will never go here again. The ambiance isn’t even relaxing. Lighting is too cool like LED and not warm and inviting at all.

Great place to get a massage. Reasonably priced and clean. Friendly staff. I usually book at the last minute and have been able to get in within a couple hours of my calls.

Clean and professional, the staff are attentive and pleasant. Asked for medium pressure and more like a sports massage and they deliver every time. Fifi, or is it Lili is very accommodating and always is able to squeeze me in when I don't have an appointment. Definitely recommend this place!

If you are looking for reflexology, this is not it. It isn't even a foot massage. More like a foot rub that your child could do. The worst part is that I was specific on the phone that I wanted reflexology and not a foot rub, and they said yes, yes. Then when you get it and tell them this is not what you ordered , they don't quite understand English.

The more I come here the more I love it. I recently had an issue with a torn meniscus and the swelling of my knee and I came here and got a massage that absolutely relieved the pain. And days later I was be hospitalized as surgery was necessary... But the point is is that they took me in and they helped me to relieve the pain temporarily. I just went back today 2 weeks post op and I found that Tom again came to the rescue and very gentle on my post op knee. He has deep knowing of exactly the trigger points of reflexologyA to ease the post surgery stress. I highly recommend this spot because it is beautiful clean massage place with excellent Asian masseuses, who are definitely the brightest and most knowledgeable in reflexology in my humble opinion. The best one hour I could have spent. Even Jenni the new owner is awesome and so sweet!

Exactly what I needed for my sore body! It was very relaxing and calming. She did a very good job of loosening up my body and was very proficient. Overall perfect experience :)

Decided to give this spa a try. Walking into a spa with a relaxing scents from the essential oils they use was immediately relaxing. The rooms were clean and there was a little candle (might be battery powered) that added to the ambiance. The outside is deceiving. The massage was one of the best and I use to go weekly. This was my first time at Blue Horizon and I look forward to my new 'go to' spa.

This spa continues to impress with quality of service and reasonable pricing. When I find myself on Long Island I make time for a visit to Blue Horizon. Never disappointed. The attitude is welcoming and the technical ability of the operators is extremely high level. Two thumbs up for Blue Horizon!! Went back to Blue Horizon found they have added a LLT light bed. Great experience felt better all over and helped sleep comfortably that night. Nice addition to their already high quality services.

It's ok i guess. Nothing special. I requested a half hour to work just on my arms and asked the woman at the desk to tell my masseuse that i just wanted my arms. I'm not sure if she received the message or if she doesn't know how to work on one specific area but much of the time was on my back. It was good pressure and technique but not want i wanted

The may be the best massage I have ever gotten. My husband and I booked last minute and we were both beyond satisfied with our couple's massage. It was intense but that was what we were looking for. Looking forward to the next one. Must try!

I just stopped by Blue Horizon today. Wow! I feel like I just found such a hidden gem of a spa. Although the outside looks modest the service inside is just world class. April who I think is the owner was just so kind and patient with me. I was a bit nervous about getting LLLT but it was sooo relaxing. April gave me a refreshing and cleansing facial while I got the LLLT. Also girls, LLLT here is about half the price of New York City prices. Afterwards I got an hour long massage. It was a mix of deep tissue and sports massage. April was clearly really well trained. She knew anatomy. She was able to treat a sore tennis injury in my left leg. It feels so much better now. Compared to the overpriced and precious NYC spas , Blue Horizon is really quite special and affordable. I will be back soon!

Me and my husband were in the neighborhood picking up our wedding albums and decided to get a quick hot stone massage in as both of us had quite a day. We checked on yelp and ended up at blue horizaon as they were the only ones who would be able to accommodate us on such a short notice, hence the 2 stars. Everything after that was downhill. Similar to the previous reviews, our couples massage was more painful than relaxing. In the first 15 minutes when they try to find your sensitive areas and your knots I thought my bones were about to break. I tried to make it obvious by making excruciating noises and exclaiming "ow" at many points during the massage but it did not seem to work. If after that I had any intact bones in my body they might've broke as he started the hot stone massage. He scraped the stones across my back which felt like they were ripping my skin. I thought that maybe this was just me since I'm small and fragile but my husband attests to a similar experience. After working on my back he proceeded to massage my legs and used the same "hot" stone on my legs as he did on my back which at that point was cold. I even tried to tell him that the stone was cold but he just ignored my comments. Overall for the price you can't complain about the service. But I just did not expect to be in so much pain after a massage. Quick tip to the owners: ask your customer what they're looking for, what kind of pressure, what are their sensitive areas & problem areas. It probably would've made the experience a lot better. Sorry but I probably won't be back.

I was very excited to get a 60 minute full body massage here. However, to much of my surprise it was extremely rough and even when I told the woman to be more gentle she almost broke my back. Then, after my massage I paid and gave a very thoughtful tip. The woman looked at the money and told me she wanted more. Then her boss continued to insist that I give more money for a tip. I thought this was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. A tip is a courtesy depending on the service received, although my massage ended earlier than 60 minutes and it was rough I gave a very nice tip, and to ask for more is extremely rude. I will not be going here ever again. IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD!

I just finished playing tennis and was sore and tired. I decided I needed a great massage so I went to The Blue Horizon Spa. April suggested that I do 30 minutes of Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) and then get a massage. The LLLT was very relaxing and rejuvenating and the following massage did the trick. The spa was clean, service wonderful, and the best part was a great massage. I highly recommend this spa!

My son gifted me with spa certificate . Due to COVID crisis spas were closed . Because I am at risk I could not get a massage within given time. I went in today and asked if Nancy could go anything. No sorry I cannot help . Nothing! So $250 down the the drain . No help? The deadline she gave was March24 thats because they closed 3 months and 10 Days. That's like 2 weeks over the limit!

I love this place! Always clean and precise work. I never get nervous when coming because they always make me feel so at ease. Staff is very gentle and respectful. When I used to come at first I was so nervous, but now they welcome me like I'm part of their team! They are the sweetest, so if you want a good job done without all the stress, I would recommend going here! If you're in need of a good massage, this is the company to use!

I purchased a 90 minute swedish massage deal from Groupon and my impression of the facility was okay. The place was dimly lit (doesn't exude the zen vibe you expect from a spa center) and the room was any other room. My masseuse really got into my back and shoulders but she was rougher towards the end of the session (when I asked her to be gentle around my sensitive ears). I found it uncomfortable with her sighing every time we changed sides (as if she was stressed in destressing me). Lastly, I understand it was through a Groupon deal so usually the customer pays the difference but did not appreciate how she demanded a specific percentage for tip. I believe it's our discretion as the customer to determine how much we tip as I am a generous tipper if needed to be. Overall, would not consider this was my first choice or let alone rush to for another session .

It's very good beauty spa. The room is very clean and technology is very good. New manager very nice. Monday to Thursday has $10 off.

My skin become very smooth after I did Collagen Facial. I will do it once a month in the future to refresh my skin.

In the past would have given a very positive review, but since they REFUSE to honor gift certificates that were purchased and couldn't be used during COVID, we are very dissatisfied with their response, My family all had gift certificates which are wasted, so we will no longer recommend them, quite the opposite .. Such bad business practice,.. we called and were told no. When we followed up with emails, supposedly to the owner we got no response, Very sad.

Two months ago, I came to Blue Horizon Spa to treat my girlfriend to a 1 hour Swedish Massage. I believe April was the one who massaged her and my girlfriend raved at how relaxed she felt after the session. Yesterday, we decided to do a couple Swedish Massage, expecting to have a time of relaxation and rest. However, the one hour session we had was drastically different from what my girlfriend had experienced when we came before. After reading the reviews on Yelp, our experience mirrored some of the cons that previous customers had outlined before. 1) Throughout our session, there would be times where the therapists would be talking to each other. 2) My therapist applied too much pressure. Since this was my first time at a spa, I assumed that this was the norm. However, I woke up the next day sore and have heard from others that this should not have been the case. 3) My girlfriend was in more pain after the session than before. It seemed that the masseuse was not sensitive to the amount of pressure she was applying and was too rough. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, especially since my girlfriend had such a wonderful time when we first came to the spa. Our expectations were high coming in, but we came out of that hour sore and confused. I know that Blue Horizon Spa is a great massage parlor, but we were disappointed that the service was not as great as when April massaged my girlfriend previously.

I was in so much pain and in search of a good massage. I called several places and Blue Horizon was able to take me right away. I explained to Tina that I needed a target massage for the right side of my shoulder blade. Tina worked on it for an hour and it temporarily relieved the pain. I've been getting massages all my life. This wasn't the best massage thag fixed the problem but it wasn't bad. I think my knot was only worked on for 15 minutes while the surrounding area got more attention. But I won't complain because for the next hour I felt better. The place is clean. If there is traffic outside and cars honking you can definitely hear it in the front room. They play soothing music to muffle the noise. I would go back for a relaxing spa but not to work out the knots.

My boyfriend and I went for what we wanted to be a relaxing massage, both wanting Swedish. We were barely greeted and did not receive consultations or instruction. The masseuses came in and I was given a male, which I normally would not have agreed to. We both received the most painful massages either of us have ever had, and I typically get deep tissue myself. Some positions of the massage were uncomfortable for me when the male masseuse got on the table over me. The next day, both of us feel ill, my boyfriend with flu-like symptoms as he is not used to such deep pressure. Would not return.

I have been to Blue Horizon a number of times. The place is clean, peaceful and the massages are always good. The two star rating is actually about the grossly uncomfortable attitude upon payment and tipping. The expectation is to be tipped 25% of the service or more. Even at 22% you're met with a bold dirty look, no thank you, no good bye and at times a complaint that you have not given enough. It's grossly unprofessional especially when you have tipped above the standard 20% for a service. The first time it happened I was genuinely confused wondering what I did wrong. While I really like this place, it is so uncomfortable and frankly so unappreciative that I can't keep patronizing the place. I could understand if the optional tip was below 20% and the person felt it was not a fair gratuity but this is just an awful attitude and nasty way to deal with kind and loyal customers.

Received a generous gift card right before COVID lockdown. Made an apt to use the card after I was vaccinated and they wouldn't except it bc it expired 40 days prior. Shrewd and uncompromising business. They don't care about the health and safety of their customers. Shameful.

I purchased a Groupon for a reflexology session in the last few months. The folks honored the Groupon on its last expiration date. The spa is super clean, has a pleasant atmosphere and lovely light music playing in the background. Ask for Tom, he was my assigned therapist and turned out to be a joy. Kind, strong and thoughtful my session was nothing less than fantastic. I can't suggest this place more. Can't wait to try their Thai Massage!

Drove alllll the way to Manhasset. It wasn't what I expected. Could be cozier and have more of a vibe but it was okay. The rooms could use candles and maybe some wine could be offered. The actual masseuse' are VERY talented. However, I woke up with a small bruise on my back from where she pressed very firmly. So not happy about that. ANDD they asked me for tip before I even had a chance to offer. THAT was VERY unprofessional. It was deserved though so I gave tip. But it wasn't what I expected overall.

I went to Blue Horizon Spa today for my second time and wasn't disappointed! Today I had a 60 minute Swedish Massage and it was exactly what I needed. I had a male masseuse and he knew exactly what he was doing. Last time I went with my mom and we both had reflexology massages, which were also great. The spa itself is very quaint and clean. It has a relaxing ambiance. Also, the best part is that their prices are very reasonable. I'll definitely visit Blue Horizon Spa again!

Recently I had come out of physical therapy.I have had muscle back & neck pain for many years. I didn't know what to do about it until a dear friend had suggested Blue Horizon Spa. The place is always super clean & professionally run. I go for 60 minute massages once a week. If I'm super active I'll add a second visit for that same week. Thanks to April, Michelle & Wendy and their amazing massages I feel better than I have in years. Can't thank them enough.

My first time here! Got a groupon deal for a 60min Swedish massage! Great massage. Only thing is there isn't parking which is a bummer. Other than that was great! Definitely worth the deal but I probably won't pay full price!

Had such a lovely experience today. Will definitely be coming back. I love the fact that they offer low level laser therapy - I've done it a few times already and absolutely recommend it to anyone! Such a unique treatment with so many wonderful health benefits! Very happy when I left! :)

I came here on a whim because after spending two weeks hunched over a computer for a work project, I was starting to look like the Hunchback of Notre Dame. The guy who was working on my back was great! He used a lot of pressure, but eased up whenever I asked. A $60 dollar quality hour massage is insanely hard to find anywhere in NY, so I was really happy with the whole experience. The next day I woke up very sore and was worried about the amount of pressure that was used, but the day after that my back and neck felt better than they have in a long time- I'll definitely go back! ***Just a note: the other reviews that complain about the noise are all pretty on point. The walls are VERY thin, and if anyone is talking in the reception area you can hear everything. It didn't bother me, but if you're someone that wouldn't be able to relax like this then bring some ear plugs or an iPod.

The people here are very nice and the service is very good, it's a wonderful place to relax my body. It's worth recommending to friends and I'll try the beauty service next time.

At the end of what was an overall average service, I was thanking my masseuse for her time and effort and paid for my service which came to $60. Next I smiled, reached into my wallet, and proceeded to hand the woman a 20% (i.e. $12) cash tip, since it has always been my practice even when a service was only average to tip 20%. I have been told in my many years going to spas and salons that 20% is the industry standard for an appropriate and somewhat generous tip. Well, not according to Blue Horizon standards. Instead of thanking me for the cash tip, when I tried to hand my masseuse her tip she started angrily shaking her head, looked at the money I was presenting her and said, "oh no - more, more." She rudely proceeded to tell me multiple times that she expected more money. When I politely said, "I'm sorry I don't understand. This is a 20% tip?", she walked away abruptly. I was shocked at this response and tried asking how much she expected as a tip, but she was huffing around and wouldn't come back to have a discussion with me. Another woman came out at this point to try and engage with me and I again asked how much the masseuse expected as a tip. They never gave me a straight answer except saying, "oh, we work very hard, very hard - some people tip very nice, but not you." I have never been accused of this and couldn't believe a business would treat a patron this way - especially one who just offered a 20% tip!!!!!! At this point it wasn't even about the few extra dollars they wanted, but rather the way they would treat a customer. I ultimately decided engaging any further with this business was not worth it and ended up giving the woman a 33% tip (i.e. a $20 tip on a $60 service, wtf?!?). After this horrendous experience, I will NEVER be going back to Blue Horizon spa again. I live in the area and was looking for a place to get a quick massage. They could have had a great customer for many years to come, but instead they have turned me off from ever returning to their business and I will be spreading the word to my friends and neighbors that this is how you get treated at Blue Horizon Spa.

Had a 1 hour reflexology session done here with a Groupon I purchased for $35. Small private parking lot shared with other businesses so spots are extremely limited. I was greeted very warmly by the lady at the front desk. The place was clean, quiet and nice enough. My Masseuse a man, greeted me pleasantly. He did very little talking which I loved because I was able to relax. He put my feet in a tub of water to soak, while my feet soaked I was treated to a shoulder and neck massage. The reflexology session was okay, not the best I have had, felt more like hour of mediocre foot rubbing.

This was the worst massage experience that i have ever had! During the first 15 minutes of my massage, the masseuse was interrupted three times. First a male customer entered the reception room calling to be helped. The masseuse left to try to schedule an appointment for him. Next another masseuse at the place needed attention from my masseuse, so she called out to him while with me. The third time, she walked out to take care of a different customer who wanted to buy a gift certificate for her daughter. By this last interruption, I could not even think of trying to relax for fear of more interruptions. I got dressed, requested a refund, and left. This is a new business in town and it's too bad they lost a local customer who tried to support a local business. A massage should be uninterrupted, and should be a relaxing and calming experience. Instead it had the total opposite effect.

There were only two people on staff when I went into the appt. - I was hoping I was not going to get the man smoking in the front as I walked in through the door. Unfortunately, I did. The reflexology foot massage felt maybe, almost like a Swedish massage but really more an extended lotion rubbing in session. Between the cigarette smell and other staff now walking in and out as they chit chat.. it was really not a very good experience.

Decided to try this Spa in town. On the positive note, massage was good (not the best I've ever had) and the staff was very nice. But I felt like they missed Spa 101. There was some confusion upon arrival as far as what treatment I was getting. Staff doesn't speak much English, so basic questions weren't really answered. They do not give you instructions on what to take off, for let's say, a facial lol. They don't provide you with a bathrobe. And they don't give you privacy once they ask you to change. They stay in the room while you peel off all your clothes. I was expecting them to start cleaning up the room as soon as session was over and I was to get dressed . They covered me with a couple of sheets/blankets but left my feet almost exposed. I was frozen the entire time :( While the massage/facial was great, I felt very uncomfortable and definitely had better experiences at other spas :/

I visited the Blue Horizon Spa last Saturday and was treated as royalty. I received a 90 minute deep tissue Swedish Massage and though I was slightly sore afterwards the next morning I woke a new person the next morning. What a relief of stress and muscle fatigue. Anybody who does not use this spa is missing a true treat.

So i saw the groupon and decided to call 3 hours ahead to make an appointment for me and my bf . We drove to there 25 min drive. We get there on time for our appt..and the lady is looking at us in suprise and says she just took someone in for a 90 min massage and thought it was us??!! Horrible waste of time and service . Never again . Really unorganized . Did not wait 90 mins we just left

After seeing a groupon sale and doing some research I booked an appointment for myself and a friend at this spa. I do not usually post reviews on yelp, but being that I use it so often to guide me it seems only fair. Here are the pros and cons of my experience at Blue Horizon Spa: Pros: Appointment was easy to book Spa was easy to find Very friendly staff Reasonable pricing Clean VERY Skilled massage therapists- The therapist massaged my face focusing around my eyes and nose. Not sure if she knew but I had been suffering with a sinus headache for days before coming in. Cons: Lack of free parking-there is parking in the back but only one spot is designated to the spa My friend and I chose to be in the same room, one therapist kept talking/laughing with the other The rooms are not sound proof so you can hear the phone ringing, the answering service and the receptionist making appointments My therapist applied a bit too much pressure, I repeatedly let her know but it did not help. I woke up the next day sore. However, my muscles were very tense so I do not fully blame her for the soreness. Just wished she used a little less pressure. My friend's therapist smelled of smoke *Note: This spa does not have a sauna or lounge area. I think that is fine but important to know in advance

Stumbled upon this massage place while looking for a deal on groupon, and I'm happy to say that I did so! Bought the groupon deal for 2, went in for a 60 minute massage, came out feeling nice and refreshed. The pressure for me was just fine, and my lower back felt AMAZING while coming out. Extremely professional and the environment was very clean. I have no complaints, hoping to visit again sometime soon.
