Meet the neighbours: Chinatown, Singapore - SilverKris

"A pizza-focused neighbourhood spot whose maker blends New Haven and New York styles, cooking pies in bespoke stone ovens and serving inventive signature creations such as the J-Dog (pork sausage, bacon, pepperoni and jalapeño), the Travis Supreme (a burger-inspired pizza with ground chuck and cheddar-bacon melt on a sesame crust) and the Wu-Tang Clam (a garlicky, pasta-adjacent clam pie)." - Gwen Pew

Love the food and ambience. Generous portion and pizza dough were crispy. We came for the Tuesday $25 special and it is absolutely worth it. Above all the good food and ambience, I must commend on the good service given by Sithra. She wears a smile, gave good recommendations and I felt exceptionally comfy with her. She is a really good staff and if management is reading this, please take good care of her.

Food and service were good! Had our colleague’s farewell dinner here & the staff has kindly allowed us to store the cake in their fridge while we had our dinner. However, it would be better if the staff could let us know in advance that the water is chargeable. We were asked immediately once we sat down if we wanted water, and we proceeded to order it thinking that it is not chargeable. Nevertheless, atmosphere is great, would say that this place is great for a date!

Hidden place with one of the best pizzas in Singapore! Vibe: Check Food: Check Occasion: Date night Reserve beforehand, walk-in's may be tough. Blue Label is tucked away in a corner near Ann Siang Hill, and the interiors transport you to another world. No doubt that the pizzas seem pricey from the menu, but it's great value for money when you consider that 1 pizza can fill 2 people. Last time I got the Blue Label Specials (sadly I can't remember the name now), which was bacon, garlic, potato etc. on a white base. I'm normally neither a fan of white base pizza nor garlic as a main ingredient, and the idea of potato on a pizza confuses me. But I don't know how Blue Label did it, it was absolutely delicious and all the flavours uplifted each other. The thinly sliced potatoes added flavour without the usual starchy potato feel, and the garlic cut right through the richness of the bacon and the cheese. Vegetarian options are also great, especially The Original Famous. The real fans of Blue Label know there's a special deal on Tuesdays... I won't spill the beans here!

Pizza has nice size, nachos can be refilled at no charge, but we were only informed this information when we about to leave. Pizza is $40+ before service fee and GTS, I think the beef is a bit too sweet and the taste is ok (not up to 40+ standard).

Blue Label Pizza & Wine is tucked away in a small alley on Ann Siang Hill; inconspicuous only to be made visible with a direction signage and blue coloured wall. It offers a modern take of a pizzeria with a straightforward menu of salads, snacks and innovative variety of stone-fired pizzas. And not to forget wines and beers with daily HH till 7pm. The Kale "Waldorf" Salad was refreshing, balanced and fun. Made of green apples, grapes, goat cheese curd and drizzle of tofu vinaigrette, it's crunchy, tangy, sweet, savory and texturally delicious. The handcut fries in the State Fair Fries were super crispy and fluffy, probably double or even triple deep fried. A little letdown was the fried egg wasn't fully runny. Aware that we had a pregnant friend, the staff had the kitchen serve the dish deconstructed to be safe. Available in two sizes, the Chicken Wings came with a choice between buffalo or honey-garlic sriracha wings. They are served with a creamy, tangy blue cheese ranch that cut through and complemented the wings' spiciness and heat. The Spicy Rigatoni Rollo Style features pasta, pecorino, Boon's chili crisp and rollo sauce all baked into creamy, cheesy and comforting goodness. And the star of the night was the pizzas. Wish I Was A Baller was a crowd pleaser. It was thin and crispy with a chewy texture, and it felt like cheeseburger on a pizza minus the bun. I was a little disappointed though as I was expecting steak slices. And there's the Original FAMOUS topped with a five cheese blend, tomato and fresh basil. It's saucy, moist and with a stretchy, gooey layer of cheese. Vibes and music were great. Food was fantastic. And the service was impeccable and meticulous from the time we were seated. A special shout out and thank you to the female staff (forgot to get her name) who attended to our split tables seating of 7pax and 1 kid, taking special note of our pregnant friend as she advised on our food orders and making it a memorable experience as we celebrated our friend's birthday.

A charming little pizza bar tucked away in the Duxton Hill area. It’s not your super classic style, but the flavors are well-curated — enough to keep me coming back several times. With so many pizzerias in Singapore these days, this one remains a staple for me and is well worth the price. It can get a bit noisy for conversations, and the seats aren’t the most comfortable, but their great draft beers more than make up for it.

Extremely disappointing service by one Indian waitress with short hair. The food was seriously mid and overpriced for the quality 🥴 (Only gave it 5 stars so that this review is being highlighted) We had booked a reservation at 7.30pm, 4 October, and were told to leave at 8.30pm - there was no notice beforehand that our table had to be vacated within an hour. The waitress was so passive aggressive with us throughout the service and it really ruined the whole vibe for us. If she had asked nicely that they needed the table, we would be alright with that; but she quite literally snapped at us and was very demanding and rude. If you check the photo, it’s apparent that the restaurant had empty seats available, and it wasn’t crowded at all?! Food was so mid and the spread (in pic) was around $150, which wouldn’t have been an issue if we had a good time, but the waitress really ruined the experience.

Located in the alley behind a hotel. This pizza was tasty and crispy. It's expensive... But in Wednesday is significantly discounted for dine in only. I walked in but you probably should make a reservation. The pizza is big enough for 2 adults to share. The only negative point was the artichoke dip was not good and cost just as much as the pizza 🍕....

Yelp
Pizza was great. I was only in Singapore for about a week, but I had it twice during my visit. Atmosphere in the restaurant was nice and the staff was very pleasant. Crust was delicious with just the right amount of crisp and the toppings were delicious. Its been a few months since that I'm writing this, so I don't remember the name of the pizza, but it had capers and meat. All of it was excellent.

Yelp
The best pizza I've had in Singapore hands down! It's tucked away in an unassuming alley in the Telok Ayer area and you would miss it if you're not sharp. It's a small place with bar seats and a few tables. Their crust is sourdough and made from scratch everyday. The toppings are well thought of and go well together. Make reservations and go with a group so you can try out a few!

Yelp
if you want to be the best, you need to beat the rest! and i'm glad to report that newcomer blp has come along and toppled pizzeria mozza as my new go to place for pizza! yes, they are the BEST at the moment......... blp is a small intimate setting located along an alleyway off ann siang road, the red neon sign will point you in the right direction. dinner reservations, especially in bigger groups and on saturdays are recommended, i was glad i did as some walk ins after us had to wait for one. you could alternatively sit at the bar counter as those are on a first come first serve basis. but i'm not a fan of their tall, smallish bar stool seats, so i'll secure the bench style sofa seats for my big fat ass to plonk down on. once you are comfortably settled in, well trained and informatively friendly wait staff will guide you, if it's your first time, or welcome you back if you are a regular. proper cloth napkins are a big plus for the messy eaters like myself who prefer to handle them piping hot slices the bare way. a glass of wine or a pint of their blue label draft beer will start you off nicely too. starters and salads all look worth trying but i settled mostly for the main event, their authenic stone fired pizza. and if you are a solo diner, one pie is more than enough, especially since the crust, yes the crust is oh so worth devouring! a tip given to me is to dip in their chilli oil with added salt and then there's no reason any crust would remain. innovative creations/combinations with clever names, fresh, generous ingredients atop a not overly bready dough that holds it's shape, is the one pie no other pizzeria can hold a candle to. they have a blue label special pizza which changes depending on the season's offerings. and they also have a guest chef pizza which changes every quarterly or so. these do make it into their permanent menu, if the response is favourable. the ones that i really liked thus far are the travis supreme, which reminded me of eating a big mac, two all beef(in this case ground chuck), special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed, not buns but dough. and the in honor of "pepe", countneck clams, garlic and bacon. not sure who pepe is or was but thank you! this combo marries three of my favourite things! bam! they gone! they clearly cater to the vegetarians too and even the green machine pizza sounded appealing to this meat lover! just like johnnie walker's blue label, this is indeed a premium pizza worth the calories but keep walking, you'll need it after finishing one pie all by yourself!

Yelp
What a nice little hidden gem. It's a small wine bar that has really good food. The wine for sure is a bit pricey but they did serve chilled wine which is different for sure. The service was great and the wine was really tasty. We ordered the pizza because we missed American food and it was really good. Not a bad price either. Took some to the hotel for left overs and the next day it was still really good. If you sit at the bar you can watch one of the chefs prepare the sides. The best is the kale salad which he professionally massages to perfection. It's a nice place to stop by if you miss wine and good food. Great atmosphere.

Yelp
Just go. Now. Make a reservation. The pizza, appetizers, and wine list are outstanding! The pizza crust is uber addictive and just don't bother sharing because you'll regret it. I went with a couple of friends and we sampled three of the pizzas-all delicious! And, the spinach and artichoke dip and salsa with the chips were yummy! And, we made room for dessert! This is now my favorite pizza spot in the city!
