Great Music Venue. Sound System was excellent. Graham St. Clair Band was performing, they were Great. $1.00 Longneck Happy Hour - What else could you want. 5 Star All The Way!

Excellent energy. Not a big bar person. Came here to see a musician I follow (Goldford) and discovered an appreciable location where they host live music ranging from song nights to I believe concerts and occaisional music contests. Walls appear to be decorated with posters of bands who have been there before. It seems I have some history to look into.

My girlfriend has been coming to blue light for years. I’m new to the live music scene and I’m looking forward to coming back again and again.

Was at The Blue Light for a memorial for a friend. The entire staff and vibe were just ideal. Could not have had a better experience. Compliments to all.

Home away from home! Always welcoming and the best bar staff around! Love my live music, burns and people!

I called to ask a question about a concert and the receptionist immediately hung up and ended the call. I then later called back to apologize for any wrong doing I did. Needless to say, customer service needs to be addressed. When representing a company, it is always important to be welcoming and assist the customers needs. When you hang up on a customer in the middle of the conversation it shows that the company does not value their customers nor does it attract future business. Being the first line of customer contact is not an easy job, but remember that you are representing the brand and when you decide to hang up on a customer it speaks louder than words. It directly affects the reputation of the brand and what they stand for. This altercation definitely made me disappointed in the staff member who I spoke with. It is also discouraging to the artists who play at the Blue Light and rely on the venue for their lively hood. If you are going to want business, friendly customer service is mandatory. Hopefully this can be a learning lesson to those who are in charge of the Blue Light customer relations.

Yelp
Best live music venue in Lubbock, hands down. Great patio, great bands, cool area of town.

Yelp
Trying to reserve a table for one of their shows is impossible. I have been trying for two weeks. Sent numerous emails and phone calls and phone will not answer and when you call after hours the voice mail is full. Have sent messages by Messenger and got half of my questions answered after waiting days for contact. For $150 for a table you would think they would be eager to rent one.

Yelp
Essential country music venue & bar in Lubbock. I've seen multiple shows here over the years & it's always a great atmosphere! I feel like it's the perfect size, small enough to be intimate but big enough to get rockin. Usually have good drink specials & cool bartenders. I believe I was introduced to Jameson & Pickle backs here for the first time.

Yelp
Live music 6-7 nights a week, both local and nationwide touring acts! Great drink specials throughout the week, the atmosphere is awesome, and the staff is very friendly. Big patio with a bar in the back and is also connected to Tom's Daiquiri bar..great to go to if you're not feeling the cover charge for Blue Light. MUST ORDER THE BURNS!!! Pickle, apple, watermelon, peach, strawberry..just about any flavor you can think of mixed with hot pepper infused vodka!

Yelp
Live music. Great place and a really cool outdoor patio. I wish I found out about it sooner, since I was in the front majority of the night. The line was long to get in but well worth it. Nice people here in Lubbock.

Yelp
Few places offer the experiences that Blue Light offers. Continued customers will find themselves reflecting on years past as they've seen a band/artist transition from the slow small crowd nights to selling out the venue. With a wide range of customers 21+ it is really a place for most everyone.

Yelp
This is by far my favorite bar to go to and a must visit in Lubbock. BL is just a great place to go with friends and catch an amazing show. The atmosphere is perfect for a college town bar. They always have some great act up on the stage. The place isn't really all that large so it is the perfect place to catch some great acts in a small setting. I saw JTNL on Saturday and was about 3 feet from him the whole time, can't beat that for a bad ass show. The staff is always great and does their best to take care off you in a timely fashion. Blue Light Live I wish you were closer!!!

Yelp
do not even waste your time trying to go to any show here or support this business. there's maybe two people that work here that are even worth your time and they aren't management. we went here for kat hasty and found out later that there were pre sale tickets. they oversold the presale tickets and these stupid ass employees were sitting outside staring at all of us wait 3+ hours to get in. we all came early and all of the presale buyers were the only ones that got in. we witnessed girls paying the doorwatchers off to get in just because their friends were inside. i tried to go to toms just to literally go pee and this woman comes running at me with a beer in her hand SCREAMING to "GET YOUR ASS BACK ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE GATE" are we literal trash animals??? we can't even go pee without getting cussed out by what i now know is MANAGEMENT??????? worst experience of my life, worst service of my life. will never spend my money here, will never set foot on this property again. will make sure nobody i know supports this place again. i have never ever been screamed at like that just to go to the damn bathroom after standing for hours. big middle finger to this whole establishment.

Yelp
Love this bar; saw American Aquarium there last Wednesday. That's the point - middle of the week and you get a great live show. Where else can you get that in West Texas?! Sometimes they charge a cover, but more often then not it goes to a great band you may have never heard of. If the cover's not your style - Tom's next door is also a great watering hole!

Katie L.

Yelp
Best bar in west Texas hands down. There really isn't a better music venue in town. Always has the best drinks and artists! A place that makes you feel like family. :)

Yelp
THIS PLACE IS JUST AMAZING. Best country bar is LBK. Drinks are cheap and service is solid. A true staple on LBK and can only keep getting better. Not to mention the acts they bring in are awesome

Yelp
By far my favorite Lubbock bar!! I love this place, the people, the drinks, the atmosphere, and the music. It's a one of a kind small town feeling bar, and you're sure to see an amazing act. It's really cool getting to see musicians before they become big in this intimate setting. They always book incredibly talented musicians, even on a night you wouldn't expect. Some nights there is a cover, but supporting local musicians and artist is something you shouldn't skimp on. This place is very much a local hang out, and I really look forward to events (Cinco de Drinko, Christmas party, Halloween contests) at The Blue Light. I think everyone visiting Lubbock should stop by for a night or two to really experience the music scene in West Texas. Have a chilton or a PBR while you're there and don't forget to tip well.

Yelp
Wife and I made our first visit to the Blue Light last night and caught Zac Wilkerson. Lubbock needs this place. Struck up conversations with complete strangers throughout the evening and had a blast. Zac and his band killed it - had people moving all night. Can't say enough good things about my feelings about this place. Check this spot out and in the words of Zac - Get Lifted!!!

Yelp
I bought tickets for the Turnpike Troubadours Concert for my daughter and I. Being from out of town I didn't know much about the area. I placed a call to the Blue Light and Dereck patiently answered my many questions concerning parking and seating, etc. The concert was great. I was given good advice about parking, We had a great time. I would not hesitate attending an event there in the future.

Yelp
I love this bar and will usually close down the night here if given the chance. I came in last thursday for a football game. After being in Chicago for several months without any break I needed to get to a place that reminds me of a Honky Tonk... as close as you'll get int the depot. The minute the band started playing there were people two steppin and they still have $2 long necks on Thursdays. Definatley needed the experience of htis place to cap my first trip back to Lubbock in almost a year. I've always had a great time here and recomend it to anyone. Haven't spent too much time on the Tom's side to review that though.

Yelp
Hands down my favorite music venue in Lubbock! It starts at the top, from owners that care about the quality of their establishment, to a staff with great customer service! Too many great people to list but Six and Chelsea are two of many reasons I keep coming back.

Yelp
I love Lubbock's live music scene and nothing beats going to see bands at the Blue Light. I saw American Aquarium here in March and it was fantastic. I love being right there with the band (plus American Aquarium puts on a killer show). I will definitely being spending lots of time here while I live in Lubbock.

Yelp
By far, no questions asked, my favorite bar in Lubbock. I've lived here for 8 years (Granted, I've only been 21 for 5 of those years) and keep coming back. They don't have food, but feel free to go across the street and grab a burger at Triple J's before the show. The music is always good, great drink specials, and of course - apple burns! As close to a honky tonk bar as you can find in Lubbock.

Yelp
This is by far the best bar in Lubbock, maybe even west Texas if you are looking for a laid-back, great crowd, friendly-staffed, live music bar. Starting with the ownership, Dave and Stephanie Brooks are the BEST owners I have ever seen at an establishment; they are there every night, eager to please and help someone out and make sure everything is going as it should, all while living it up themselves! The staff is amazing, great friendly people who know what they're doing, can have fun but still handle business. The crowd is usually mostly college students, sometimes a little bit older, but all laid-back, chill people just enjoying great texas country, blues music and having a drink.. I literally was here 5-6 nights a week when I lived in Lubbock.. Always great music, helpful and enjoyable staff and an overall amazing experience!

Yelp
Owners don't know customer service!!! lol and don't care to. Used to be awesome sucks now!!

Yelp
So apparently the manager/owner/doorman is so self important he feels the need to collect his cash at the door. His staff "unknowingly" overs charges there customers... So every time there is an event the cover slowly increases to what ever this "doorman" happens to agree to. Overall I would give this bar a 5 but the "doorman" accepted this was a zero star establishment.
