"If we could eat ice cream everyday we would. And Blue Marble might possibly have something to do with it. This Brooklyn-based company churns rich, yet delicate and subtle flavors that taste like “mmmmmm”. A year after crafting their ice cream, owners Alexis and Jennie also founded a non-profit called Blue Marble Dreams, with a mission to “build ice cream shops with women in areas recovering from conflict or natural disaster". They believe that “these sweet, small enterprises can help revive both the spirit and the economy of a community”, and we think that’s pretty awesome." - Aki Carpenter & Chris Huban

"Blue Marble Ice Cream, a shop created by two friends, serves certified organic dairy scoops. With flavors ranging from classic (vanilla and strawberry) to more considered (green tea and Mexican chocolate), there is something for every type of sweet tooth." - Michaela Bechler

Google
Reasonably good organic ice cream (12 flavors, 4 vegan) at organic shop prices ($7 for a single scoop). Really nice outdoor seating under lights and apple trees after going through inside. They also have various types of coffee and some baked goods. It felt like a progressive hip ice cream shop. Flavors included classics and a few innovative ones like Rose and bread, flagship blue marble (blue vanilla with peanut butter and marshmallow). Texture was decent, they allow sampling and staff were friendly. My favorites were the rose and bread and black raspberry with chocolate fudge. Blue marble was also quite good.

We visited Blue Marble since we saw a crowd in their outdoor dining area. People looked like they were enjoying their ice cream so much so we gave it a try impulsively. The line moved fast and the wait wasn’t too bad. The decor was adorable with color baby blue and white. The staff was friendly, attentive and recommended us her favorite flavors. We tried the Banana Cream Pie and Salt-Kissed Caramel in split single cup. The ice cream was decent but the flavors weren’t my types.

A great ice cream stop before heading for a stroll in Prospect Park. I ordered a waffle cone with a split scoop consisting of a mix between nitro cold brew and organic maple. It was quite a tasty treat, including the taste of the waffle cone. I expect this store to get busier as the weather gets warmer. I would definitely return for another treat.

I was visiting the city and this happened to be one of the locations I had work at Unfortunately I didn't get to taste the ice-cream but the coffee was so great (maple latte), that I came back the next day for more. I'm pretty sure the ice-cream was delicious because the woman I was with tried it and said so!

Best ice cream in the neighborhood—and that’s a pretty high bar given that there are quite a few places. I live here and have tried them all. I should exercise tomorrow. Pro tip: Try their weird flavors (like cardamom or rosewater & bread!) Most ice cream makers are worried about the reception of their exotic flavors and overcompensate with excess sugar or fail to commit enough to showcasing the flavor itself. Blue Marble trusts that people who order something unorthodox either know what they want or are adventurous and aren’t afraid to be surprised. They really think about how best to formulate each flavor, and they’ve nailed everything they’ve put in their menu.

Such a cute little ice cream place! Had a good selection and dairy free options! The rose and bread (dairy free rose coconut ice cream with shortbread pieces) and it was so yummy! Cute stop for a quick ice cream.

What is there not to love about Blue Marble? Have an ice cream, coffee, or tea, and enjoy it in their lovely outside seating area, while people watching and planning your next adventure.

Very good ice cream flavors, especially the black and white cookie and the raspberry choco chips!

Yelp
This was my favorite spot in the neighborhood, and I was so sad to learn on my most recent visit to New York from California that they closed all of their shops. in the three visits I made to New York last year. I came here so often I earned a few free ice creams from the rewards program. The banofee was tops, as were the chocolate with cinnamon and their cold brew flavors. Ample Hills and Van Leeuwen are not appealing to me -- they overcomplicate flavors and have too few gluten-free options.

Audrey E.

Yelp
There was only one worker in the shop but she was very patient with each customer, and super friendly. I asked to try both the banoffee and the cardamom. Both were absolutely delicious! The banana flavor came through so well, especially the fresh, ripe banana scent. The cardamom flavor was also fragrant, but not overwhelming. Both flavors tasted super fresh and were very creamy, and not overly sweet. I liked that it was more of a soft than hard texture. There is a back patio which is super nice, has a good amount of seating, and even has hanging lights which would be nice at night time. Overall the ambiance is really great, and I recommend it to anyone in the area, especially as it's a short walk to the park.

Yelp
Finally got to try this place after being in the neighborhood. They have unique flavors like rose and bread. Got a double size of banana cream pie and pistachio almondine. Cup was kinda small for a price of almost $10. Ice cream is good quality but giving three stars because of the value you get for money. Bananas cream pie flavor was delicious but pistachio almondine was a bit gritty. Place has ample seating indoor, outside on street and there is also a charming backyard area when the weather is nice. They also serve coffee and pastries.

Yelp
This is a cute little neighborhood cafe, tucked away within Prospect Heights brownstones. It's an easy walk away from Prospect Park as well. They're known for their coffee, but I only got a chance to try their drinks. I got the matcha latte and chai and was not very impressed. The matcha latte tasted bland and watery, and didn't have much matcha in it. It honestly just tasted like milk, so definitely not worth $5-6. The chai was better, but nothing mind blowing. The outdoor patio is cute. It's surrounded by apartment buildings so there isn't much light, but it's a nice place to chill and chat. I tried to work from home there, but the wifi was too unreliable. It's a cute cafe, and I need to try their ice cream sometime.

Yelp
We came here on a Saturday afternoon after we noped out on The Social Brooklyn's super packed line... and they do a pretty good job here! Only one lady was running the shop at the time but the flow of customers were steady so the wait was standard. I got the pistachio and matcha flavor. The matcha was strong and pistachio had much of an almond taste with real pistachio chunks in it. I took one star off due to the portion value since it was quite small.. however, it was cool that they do orders for split singles. I haven't seen that anywhere else! We finished our ice cream in the outdoor patio and noticed all the beachy vibes, which suits the coming season well.

Yelp
An Affogato! Oh. my. Lord. (clasps two hands together in praise) Idk who invented it. But man. That fact that espresso and icecream "together" is a thing. Just THRILLS me! And so one of my beautiful younger sisters is darker skinned with long silky hair and once upon a time worked in an Italian bakery in her early teens. She is now a new mom in the area fitting right in with her little baby carrier blanket over her shoulder breastfeeding combo just like all the moms where on Saturday when we passed by. We parked across the street while headed to the nearby farmers market and I secretly planned to surprise my teens who joined us, with icecream on the way back. As sisters we enjoyed a moment of pure nostalgia in this bright icecream shop on a Saturday afternoon with our children. I used to live a block away and only miss moments like these. Nothing beats a beautiful Saturday on Underhill and this place just makes the neighborhood so sweet. While the kids ordered icecream in waffle cones I explored the back and the place is super spacious with outdoor seating that is just so quaint. The women who assisted were stellar letting the kids try samples while making THEE absolute BEST iced coffee for me. The way joy burst into my heart! I should have asked what roast it was but I was just FLOORED when I found out they had affogato! One of my kids managed to drink half my coffee when I became hopelessly distracted in the memory of when I was young and I discovered my taste buds had matured and changed so much just like my sister and I had. The one thing that will never change is my passion for coffee and icecream separately and sometimes together. If you are here to complain about the price- don't buy expensive icecream everyday- but. But when you do... Buy it here and hopefully it will be on a lovely day where you can enjoy the full beauty of the space and just indulge. The icecream is creamy and smooth and perfect and they have vegan options as well as pints to go. Enjoy.

Yelp
Pictures later because I will go back. The customer service was great. They did a great job greeting us and telling us about the ice cream selection. There are non dairy flavors also. The environment is cute and cozy, I managed to go even on a freezing day to enjoy they're ice cream

Yelp
I order a matcha and vanilla ice cream and it tasted very good and fresh. The service was very friendly and seem like a nice to be in.

Yelp
As I always say, icecream goes straight to the heart. No matter how full you are, there is always room for icecream. Me and my friend found this place online. I called to verify they were still open (hours online some times don't have accurate information.) The lady who picked up said we had half an hour to get there as they closed at 8. We were 5 minutes away. Split single is 2 small scoops. So that's what I got. I'm a coffee addict. Love cold brew. So I got the cold brew and salted caramel flavor. The coffee flavor was really strong and prominent. The caramel was indeed creamy and nice. The icecream is organic and quite tasty. I'll definitely return here and made a point to my friend to try more of the flavors from the menu. Great icecream spot!

Yelp
This place is fairly close to where I am at so honestly I've been in here more times to grab a boxed water or get a chai latte than actually tried the ice cream. Today I had the ice cream for the first time (you know, it finally hits above 50 after a long winter and everyone goes crazy) and it was delicious! I ordered two flavors, the raspberry lime sorbet and the raspberry chocolate chip. Both were delicious but I really, really loved the raspberry lime sorbet. It had the perfect refreshing tartness I was looking for. I'll definitely be back for more, and you can buy by the pint here. I love love Ample Hills in the area too, but this is a good alternative when you're not looking for something quite so over the top. They have some fairly classic flavors here, with a few out of the ordinary as well. The service is friendly as well. I didn't catch his name, but the guy working around 8pm ish on Friday 3/12 was really great.

Yelp
I am often singing the praises of shiny new small batch ice cream stores that tout international ingredients but I overlook tried and true old favorites like Blue Marble. My last few visits have really cemented for me the fact that the quality of the cream and the flavor of the ingredients really speak for themselves-- this organic ice cream shop still churns some of the tastiest ice cream around town. Right now they're open during NY on PAUSE for delivery and pick-up. On a recent holiday weekend I came upon a short line to order through their take out window. People were masked and keeping their distance as we ordered in an orderly fashion. Plexiglass protected store employees from customers, and they took payment via credit card. They were offering just a few flavors, but I excitedly got a scoop of their coffee and a scoop of an inside out chocolate cookie flavor. Both had incredible depth of flavor, high quality cream, and paired deliciously with their fresh waffle cone, which very much tastes like it was made in house. Their vegan flavors are fantastic as well. Underhill Avenue is closed for pedestrian traffic as part of Open Streets, and it's a true delight to eat ice cream without worrying about crowds. Food is a source of comfort I turn to a lot right now and Blue Marble came to the rescue for my sweet tooth.

Yelp
I have been meaning to try this spot since I moved to Prospect Heights last year. The flavor options are pretty creative and the key lime pie flavor I has was DELICIOUS. I thought the price was a little expensive for two scoops of ice cream and think other shops in the area offer a better value. Will I go back to try other flavors, yes.

Emily D.

Yelp
Update: I DID get to know the rose ice cream, and it tasted like libraries and fairy gardens. No idea what the ingredients are beyond rose and bread, but it definitely has a bit of a bittersweet kick. So refined! This one is definitely for all the huge floral fans who like a little more than a subtle hint of rose! Plus, I got to see their outdoor patio today. It is clean, bright, and beautiful. I anticipate my stamp card will be filled up in a week's time--simply the best!

Yelp
Went to brunch in the neighborhood and had a long wait. A stroll down the block lead me to this little gem and I'm so glad I found it because now it's one of my favorite ice cream shops. Cute and quaint Blue Marble serves up some flavors I haven't had anywhere else and just really packs a punch in terms of quality. After sampling a coupon of my routine favorites the lady at the counter encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and try something different. So glad I accepted the challenge. I went for the banana pudding. Made me want to slap my mama it was so good. It was rich in flavor with the right amount of texture and without the chemicals of artificial flavoring. So good There is a small reading area for kids pass the counter and outback has the cutest little sitting area which was just perfect on a warm Sept afternoon. I see many more visits in my future and even when the weather doesn't permit sitting outback, there's always the option to buy a pint and take home. Win win!!

Yelp
Very near to the Brooklyn Public Library! Organic ice cream with classic & specialty flavors... the ice cream guy was so patient, enthusiastic & kind with letting us try countless flavors. Our group favorite was the macaroon almond! o0omaagaa. Vegan coconut was so0o refreshing. Awesome feature is their pretzel cone & the 4 scoop mini flight :-0 And the space is so0o chill. A play area for the kids inside, seating are inside anddd when the weather's nice, a backyard with tables! A must come & if you're having a craving the ice cream guy says they sell pints in Whole Foods :)

Tiffany B.

Yelp
This is the CUTEST neighborhood specialty shop! I met friends here and didn't know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. I was able to park right across the street but I may have just gotten lucky on a rainy day. They have outside seating in front and in a rear courtyard that is partially covered. There is also ample indoor seating. They of course have a really nice selection of ice cream flavors. They also have DELICIOUS coffee and pastries. I had a rosé coconut vegan ice cream that was very good. We hung out in the back at first until it started raining again then came indoors. We drank coffee and ate ice cream there was music playing at agreeable level it was an enjoyable afternoon I will definitely return.

Charisse S.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite ice cream shops in the city. Finally stopped by today to try a new flavor, Organic Bread & Roses. Interesting flavor but my fave will always be Key Lime pie. I appreciate the backyard space in addition to the outdoor seating in the front. Friendly, helpful staff as always. Will try to sneak in another visit before it gets too cold.

LaShawn S.

Yelp
Weather finally hit the 80s in NY so stopped by. As soon as the server gave me my ice cream and I paid, I look up to find him scratching his butt (over his jeans), then he proceeds to blow his nose in some tissue and then wipe his nose with his hand before sitting back down on a stool next to the ice cream case. I observed no hand washing (or gloves used) which then made me weary about how sanitary he was prior to my coming in. Left and eventually threw my ice cream in the garbage.

Amy L.

Yelp
One of our other vendors shared that not everyone eats cake at a wedding but EVERYONE eats ice cream... and this could not have been more true! We worked with Blue Marble to bring an ice cream truck to our wedding and it could not have been a better experience! They brought an ice cream cart in a cute micro-van (see their website and our photos below) that easily fit in our venue's atrium space. We had ice cream in place of a wedding cake and did our first scoop together! Blue Marble provided 4 flavors and a scooper to serve our ~80 guests. The ice cream was delicious and a huge hit to end the night!

Gene L.

Yelp
Blue Marble is finally open again!! This location was temporarily closed for renovations, and now the inside looks brand spanking new. Despite the interior redo, they've kept a lot of the things which I was worried they were going to do away with: still have large communal tables, still with plug sockets if you want to charge, still with children's play area. New added bonus is for those fans of the draft latte from La Colombe, Blue Marble has that on tap now. Very similar vibe as the old place, just newer and updated. So glad this place finally has reopened. Delicious ice cream as always, a solid coffee shop, and a great place to hang out for both individual and families alike. Truly an asset to the Prospect Heights neighborhood!

Julie M.

Yelp
High quality ice cream with unique flavors. Very expensive however for the amount you get. The cup serving is ridiculously small and it's over $8 on the UWS. This is a very special occasion treat not a regular enjoyment which is, sad.

Chah L.

Yelp
Organic ice cream with great flavor. Has plenty of bicycles parking. Nice neighborhood to relax outside

Naomi D.

Yelp
Blue Marble has been bookmarked on my Yelp since I moved to the area almost a year ago, so this 65° January day was the perfect time to try it out! I tried Cinnamon Double Dark Chocolate (yup, there's cinnamon in there all right!), before settling on a waffle cone with one scoop Maple and one scoop Mint Cocoa & Cookies for a cool $10 (yikes--I could buy two whole pints at the grocery store for that much). My friend had a sugar cone with one scoop of Bread & Roses for $6. We took our cones to the adorable backyard, which was cute, spacious, and comfy even in January. There's also plenty of seating inside and even a play area for the kiddos! They also offer a variety of coffee and teas. These flavors were spot on! I loved the Mint Cocoa & Cookies, which was totally unique and genius. The Maple was a little melty and subtle, but hit the spot. Bread & Roses, also unique, had quite a heady rose aftertaste which isn't my style, but my friend enjoyed. The one employee running the place did a great job handling the crowd. Definitely will be making return visits here to try their other flavors!

Yelp
Walking around the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens I got hot and thirsty. Snack bar had one last container of gelato. I noticed it was made by Blue Marble Ice Cream. Gelato was frozen solid and difficult to scoop with the little piece of wood I was given. Icy texture tickled my tongue. I was floored by the bold strawberry flavor as I tasted the cold treat. Far too soon I consumed the little container of gelato. Whipping out my Iphone I found they had a store nearby. I planned a visit for dessert. That night I got off the bus next to the Brooklyn Library. Love how the place is lit up. Along the way I was admiring the architecture of fancy condo tower when a working class woman started yelling at the building owners for their uncaring attitudes and how they perpetuate the income inequities which are bringing down society. I'm starting to see why so many businesses have private security... After a short walk I make it to Blue Marble with an hour left before closing. It's quiet and I have time to sample and ponder what to get. There is a good selection of flavors and the employees are nice. Cinnamon was rich, creamy, and full of cinnamon flavor. Reminds me of my first time eating cinnamon ice cream for dessert after some hickory smoked bbq ribs. :-) Governors was vanilla ice cream with granola and caramel. Rich sweet flavors from multiple ingredients I love. Love how well those flavors go together. Ice cream is excellent here. Next time I'm gonna eat less for dinner and get a triple.

Chris A.

Yelp
Nice backyard. Okay ice cream, but not close to justify the price. Very mediocre coffee. Indifferent staff.

Kevin C.

Yelp
We came here right after lunch and saw there was a nice crowd going in there. They were generous with us trying out the flavors. Lot of these flavors I rarely see in other places. My wife got the raspberry mint ice cream while my son got his go to cookies and cream. 1 scoop was around 6 and 2 scoops for 9. While it may be a tad steep, we did enjoy the ice cream and gave it 4 scoops up! :)

Yelp
on my search to find the best ice cream shop in brooklyn, i stumbled upon this place. my friends and i were in the mood for some late night dessert after hanging out near prospect park, so we decided to come by here. while i had high hopes, i was kind of let down. -they're available for delivery on postmates and ubereats, but only for pints. -there was a cute outdoor seating area on the street with some string lights, but i'm unsure if it's still set up during the wintertime right now. -i can't remember if they accept both cash and card, but i know that they definitely accept card. -they are not offering samples. -the worker didn't seem that enthusiastic while talking to the customers. when i asked her for recommendations, she basically said something along the lines of "i don't know, whatever looks good to you i guess". 9/5/20 -banana cream pie ice cream: i decided to settle for this flavor, since it seemed interesting to me. unfortunately, it just wasn't anything special. the banana flavor was strong, but had an artificial taste to it; i liked how it had just the right amount of sweetness, though. i got a single scoop for $6, which was an extremely small portion. i kind of regretted getting this flavor, since i felt like my money could've been spent on something better. the ice cream scoop was served in a cup that was labeled "sea salt caramel", which was kind of confusing. on the bright side, i was in love with how creamy the consistency of this ice cream was. (3.5/5) overall, i can maybe give this place 3.5 stars, only because their ice cream is some of the creamiest that i've ever had. i've also purchased a pint of their cookies and cream flavor ice cream from wholefoods, and i was even more disappointed. it had a strange, cheesy aftertaste; it also wasn't sweet enough. although their ingredients are simple and organic, but i still didn't think that the pint was worth around $9. i probably won't be coming back here anytime soon, but i enjoyed the experience of eating ice cream with my friends here.

Kristen G.

Yelp
I tried ice cream from Blue Marble's mobile cart at Smorgasburg. I was at a Japanese cultural event before this and looking for some green tea desserts, but couldn't find anything, so I was happy to run into this ice cream stand. I was pleased with my selection of green tea ice cream in a sugar cone. Yes, it was a little pricey, but I thought the texture and flavor were great. It was not too sweet, and it actually tasted like green tea (unlike some of the brands you get at the grocery store that are just green-tinted milk flavor). One word of caution: on very hot days, you might want to take a peak at the containers in the cart before making a decision. My roommate got a different flavor and hers was very soft and melting all over the place.

Samantha P.

Yelp
This dessert place has many different flavors that you can try and it's a very friendly environment. It is pretty expensive so I reccomend to get more than one scoop since it is more worth it.

Vermillion J.

Yelp
What kind of business doesn't offer their namesake flavor?!! It's been several months and the employees say check back in at the end of the summer! Come on Blue Marble, this flavor is amazing what's the hold up!

Merlin C.

Yelp
In the turf war of overpriced gourmet "ice cream spaces," Blue Marble is fighting it out with Ample Hills Creamery. I was suspicious of the latter but won over. Blue Marble, not so much. P2P (Price to Portions ratio) is an absolute outrage. We're talking $5/scoop, so make sure you look at price beforehand unless you want sticker shock akin to what you get with a shady dentist. I hoped the stuff itself might cancel it out, but alas, no. Chocolate was milky and not dark enough, and it basically tasted like Breyer's. This is one of those places where fancy marketing and the 'organic' labeling mystique skew consumer perceptions. Read some Michael Pollan on the ambiguity of that label before falling for it. $5 is better off at Ample Hills, where the price gouging is worth it, or buying a good old carton of Ben and Jerry's. Don't let the hype train hit you.

Jeannette N.

Yelp
I like my ice cream simple and no frills, and that's exactly what Blue Marble offers. No crazy concoctions of crushed saltines, cookie pieces and cake bits; just ice cream. Delicious, creamy, bold flavored ice cream. My personal favorites are the green tea and the Mexican chocolate. *Drool* The shop is tucked away in a quiet, residential neighborhood on Underhill Ave., so you don't have to worry about big crowds and long lines, *cough* Ample Hills *cough*.

Vic M.

Yelp
Go here if you want, really, really good, and creamy ice cream. Great flavors and friendly staff. Normally have a few vegan flavors as well, if you're into that.

Anony M.

Yelp
Flavor: Midnight Mint Cookie Chalky. Gritty. Bland. Couldn't tell it was chocolate if I didn't know it was supposed to be chocolate. $9 for a 14 oz "pint." Don't understand the good reviews at all. This is mediocre *at best*. Don't plan to buy it again and might see if I can get a refund.

Annika C.

Yelp
DO NOT SUPPORT THIS!!! the owner, jennie, pays her workers minimum wage and makes them work 8 hr shifts alone, without a lunch break, which is illegal!!!! She expects work that should be more pay than minimum wage, and wont schedule two people for one shift which leads to workers being completely overwhelmed with not only customers but shipments coming in!! at the upper west side location, she also only schedules one person per shift despite it being robed MANY times recently, putting her workers lives in danger because she doesn't want to pay the extra money to have two people on a shift!! THIS JOB IS NOT RUN ETHICALLY ALTHOUGH IT POSES LIKE IT IS!!! Don't believe me? go in and ask the workers if they are able to take lunch breaks. she sells insanely over priced ice cream and cant afford to pay her workers more and give them breaks?? make sure you support businesses that treat workers like HUMANS!!

Esther H.

Yelp
Cute little hole in the wall spot with many assortments of ice cream and coffee! Only came for the coffee since we stopped here before brunch but will be back to try the ice cream for sure! Coffee was very strong and robust to the taste. The place was pretty busy with just one staff worker, the line was almost out the door. She was very friendly and helpful. There were seating spots in the back, a few standing tables in the front and I noticed an outdoor seating area in the back as well. They had many different variations of ice cream such as vegan, gluten free and more! Definitely a must try!

Paige C.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite ice cream stores! Whenever I finish an ice cream from here, I do not feel weighed down or guilty for indulging. It may be because of their portion size which is a bit tiny but will leave you feeling satisfied. You can really taste how fresh and organic their ice cream is. The earl grey flavor always has me coming back although it is hard catching what day it is available. Their summertime strawberry is so refreshing and their raspberry lime has that zing I crave. The consistency of their ice cream/sorbets are very smooth without leaving that film of fattiness/creaminess on your lips. The staff there is always so friendly and gives me as many samples as I'd like (I really hope I'm not getting you guys in trouble w/ your bosses). Everything that I've sampled tastes incredible. Not to mention their decor which is adorbs, there's indoor seating and a garden in the back along with a play area for kids!

C L.

Yelp
Saw good reviews of this place so I had to try it out. Unfortunately I had a really terrible experience here. I don't usually give out bad reviews but I ordered two scoops and it came in this really tiny cup. The cup was so small that each time I tried to take a bite of my ice cream, chunks of the ice cream would literally fall out of the cup onto the ground. And on top of that, the wooden "spoons", which were more like tiny wooden flat spatulas, were so hard to use. The ice cream itself was ok at best. Nothing spectacular. I was really disappointed that almost half of my two scoops of $9 ice cream fell onto the ground whilst eating it. And if I'm paying $9 for ice cream I would've at least like to have gotten decent sized scoops. These were not. I could've gone to Van Leeuwen and gotten twice as much for the same price which says a lot. Would not go here again.

Jordan R.

Yelp
Came in casually, as my regular coffee shop was closed for repairs. Pro- Barista's nice/ coffee pretty good. Con- WiFi out/ "baby sing along hour." I came to work, and it's frustrating to have 20+ adults force strollers into a small coffee shop. Order nothing and then begin a sing along with many children. I feel like I cannot hear myself think over the sound of adolescent screaming/screeching. Maybe advertise this event so people who want to work will go to another coffee shop. Won't be coming back.

Gab G.

Yelp
I've caught these guys at Summerstage a few times now and they're definitely a welcome addition. The cookies n cream and midnight mint cookie are awesome, but I didn't really care for the bread & roses flavor. Just not a fan of rose foods as it turns out!

Christina H.

Yelp
Okay, things happen for a reason, right? After begging my SO to go for a walk to Riverdel and the park after 2 hours we finally made our way through Brooklyn. After almost 2 hours of walking in 95 degree heat, I was parched and tired. Lucky for us, we stumbled upon a cute little sign outside that red "nitro coffee ice cream & vegan flavors" I didn't personally want anything super sweet because I was dehydrated and not really feeling it, but I can never say "no" to ice cream so we popped to. 3 worlds: vegan bread + rose ice cream. It's life changing. Light and perfectly sweetened so you don't feel like a fatty for having a cup and a cone when you just had a big meal. They also had a vegan black and white cookie which was marvelous and addicting I personally think they could wipe van Leeuwens with the floor based on their array of flavors and originality but both are 5 star ice cream shops so they're both worth all of your time and money. Im strongly considering an ice cream birthday party here next year to wow the crowd!

Yelp
The sign outside reads: "If you eat ice cream, spring will come." People! Go here and get some incredible organic butter pecan ice cream! Do it for the rest of us! And for your ass, which is going to get the most out of it anyway.

Yelp
Some of the best ice cream I've ever had I had the cardamom mint chip and coffee and they were all superb both in the flavor and the texture the girl working there was really nice as well so altogether on a very hot day in Brooklyn a great choice

Yelp
The. Best. Ice cream. Gourmet yet simple flavors -- no crazy butter-coated crack or grandma's lace cookies (although that ice cream shop is great, too). But when you want a really delicious, creamy and solo-flavor ice cream, Blue Marble has the best in the neighborhood. The recent remodel has made the space feel larger and it's a great spot for coffee, too, or banging out some time on your laptop. (They offer WiFi.) The matcha latte is delicious (I recommend it unsweetened).

Yelp
I'd usually give a brand a few more tries before settling on a review, but twice is enough in this case. Whether or not the ice cream that Blue Marble packages for resale in grocery stores is of the same quality as their brick-and-mortar location, the pint I purchased through my local Whole Foods was pretty much inedible. The Cookies and Cream flavor was the grainiest ice cream I ever had the displeasure of eating, and beyond the grit, the actual flavor was barely present. I had to stop eating after a spoon, and I'm a fiend for ice cream. A year later, a family member unknowingly purchased the brand again and I decided to give it another go, thinking perhaps something may have been off with the previous batch. Nope, exactly as bad as it was the first time. The organic ingredients caught my eye initially, but what's the point if the ice cream is terrible? I can't understand how this could be sold for $9 a pint.

Yelp
this place is very cute and feels like a part of the neighborhood. everything is organic and there were 3 vegan ice cream and 2 sorbets. we tried the vegan raspberry chip ($6 per scoop) and it tasted very light and fresh albeit slightly icy. perfect summer treat!

Yelp
Subtle flavors and rich ice cream. But it's not exceptional considering the price. The ambiance was nice with a large seating area suitable for work. There is also a backyard and a play area for kids. Unless a space to spread out is your priority over the quality of ice cream, I'd chose Ample Hills, a short walk away..

Yelp
The place was kind of run down and so hot that the ice cream was melting. The line wasn't too long but service was super slow. I tried the corn flavor and the earl grey. Corn was a bit too sweet, but I liked the gritty texture of the ice cream. Earl grey was really good with a strong tea flavor. Aside from those two flavors, the other ones were very basic, like chocolate and salted caramel. The almond pistachio sounded good but looked like soup in the tub. Maybe we just came on a bad day, but I was not too impressed with the ice cream. Too melty, not enough flavor besides sweet, and small servings for the price. There are definitely better ice cream places in the city that I'd recommend over this one.

Yelp
They had a stand at Smorgasburg and I got the blue marble (yes the name of the place but also the name of the flavor) and the scooper described it really nicely when she reccomeded it. Not seeing the prices, because they werent shown, i got a scoop. It was literally the most boring vanilla ice cream with penut butter in it colored blue. it ended up being 6 dollars and i was so pissed. not amazing quality and definity not anything special.
