Encouraged by this place being featured on DDD with Guy Fieri, I decided to go over and check it out. It was not what I expected. I found it's a modest, low-key, beachy-type joint where you place your order at a window, you pay and then pick up your food when it's ready, similar to a food-truck operation. Initially, I ordered the mahi-mahi sandwich (which I saw on their online menu, and it's still there) but was told that item wasn't on the menu...hmm, weird! So, I settled for coconut shrimp, fish & chips (fries) and a can of soda. Honestly, the food was just OK but nothing out of this world, and that was disappointing because I went there expecting more flair and sophistication in the food, same as food trucks have with their dishes. In addition, considering the type of place it is and that the food is basically standard fare you can get at any seafood place, I thought the prices were high; the can of soda was $3!!! My bill total was almost $30. I could have ordered the same near where I live for about 15-20% less. Based on this experience, I don't plan to visit this place again, as it is really nothing special but ordinary instead.
