Blue Moon Bistro

First time at Blue Moon Bistro after seeing it on TikTok, and overall it was a good experience. We stopped in for lunch around 2–3 PM and hit a quiet window, so the atmosphere was calm and relaxed. Food came out within a reasonable amount of time. The loaded house chips were nice and crispy, and the French onion dip was good, though the portion was a bit small compared to the amount of chips. The “loaded” part of the chips was a little underwhelming, but still enjoyable. The chili and grilled cheese was excellent and probably our favorite item. The Blue Moon donut burger with fries was solid and lived up to the hype. We also tried the Second Chance latte and Sweet Dreams latte, both of which were well made, and the lemon blueberry muffin was a nice finish. Nothing about the service or atmosphere really stood out, but there were no issues either. For our first visit, the food was the highlight and we’d definitely come back to try more items.

Stopped in for lunch and were truly impressed. We started with the Disco Fries—fries topped with white gravy and shredded cheese—and wow, they were delicious. Such a unique menu item that we don’t see often (if ever), and we’re so glad we tried them. I also loved the clever menu wording. The appetizer section titled “Just the Beginning” and the dessert menu called “The Final Trip” added such a fun and thoughtful touch. For my main course, I ordered today’s special—the Fish Tacos—and they were incredible. For a moment, I honestly felt like I was dining at a tropical beach restaurant. The flavors were fresh, vibrant, and perfectly balanced. Very impressive. Our server, Emily, was friendly and kind. The only small hiccup was that our coffee drinks arrived at the same time as our food, but she apologized and explained they had gotten busy right as we ordered. She even offered to-go cups for our coffee, which we appreciated. The coffee itself was excellent. I had the Second Chance (vanilla and honey latte, iced), and my husband had the Beyond Dusk (dark chocolate mocha, iced). Both were fantastic. We also appreciated being able to use a $5 off coupon from The Town Money Saver, which was a nice bonus. Great food, creative menu, and welcoming service. We’ll definitely be back.

Stopped by Blue Moon Bistro while traveling through, and I’m really glad I did. It’s a cozy little spot that offers a lot. Great food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, a full coffee bar, and even soft-serve ice cream. Be sure to ask about the blue flavor. I tried the Beyond Dusk dark chocolate latte, and it was delicious. For lunch, I went with Shyann’s Favorite, a burger with grilled red onions, BBQ sauce, and pepper jack cheese. They even grill the bun, and honestly, it might be my new favorite burger. The side of seasoned fresh chips was crisp and full of flavor, and their Shyann’s Secret Sauce is a must-try. It’s perfect for dipping those chips. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere had a warm, relaxed vibe with dark wood tones and a cozy farmhouse feel. They also have outdoor seating, which makes it a great spot to unwind and enjoy a meal. If you’re anywhere near the area, Blue Moon Bistro is absolutely worth a stop.

The wife and I stopped in for a late lunch at the Blue Moon Bistro. I had the patty melt which was quite good, although not on rye bread, which is traditional in my experience. My wife had the CBR (chicken, bacon, ranch) Wrap which she also enjoyed. The homemade chips were very good. The sweet potato tots were good, but undercooked and not crispy on the outside as expected. Our server was friendly and attentive. Our food came out in a timely manner. A pleasant visit, and worth a return visit. 4 Stars!

I had Mozzarella stick burger w/ chips and beyond dusk coffee. Waitresse was very friendly and great. The Mozzarella stick burger was very delicious and has to be one the best burgers I've had . The chips were good and the coffee was also good. I highly recommend trying this place.

Came in to get takeout and the place was packed with people waiting outside! I walked in and the staff were extremely nice and even though I had to wait a few minutes it was worth it. The kids burgers were great and my burger with the bacon and bbq sauce was amazing! Pink and juicy and everything was hot. My wife’s salad was great too! No yucky lettuce and the dressing for the onion petals was great as well!!

What a delightful stop during our weekend trip. Homemade tasty food. Great portions. Clean facility including the restrooms. Excellent service.

We went at a busy time of day. The food was great, staff was friendly. Atmosphere was fantastic. Seemed to be a local hot spot and not a tourist destination which is a great change of pace, given it’s in Amish country. Times were long but overall I would say worth the wait. Definitely recommend.

Lovely place located in Ohio Amish country. Stopped for dinner and was pleasantly surprised! Menu options were great and I ordered the turkey club with sweet potatoe tots. Had to take half to go! Made with real turkey not lunchmeat. Delicious dressing. Staff was great! Definitely recommend if you're in the area!

One of favorite breakfast spots! We drive an hour just to eat here- everything is homemade, and the menu is so varied you cannot go wrong! Service is friendly and attentive. We love the atmosphere and and added bonus, it is right off the bike trail!

Friendly staff(, clean and up to date menu. Salads are big, burgers a half pound. I haven't been to breakfast but looks good. No complaints just go and enjoy

We waited forever as we were unaware it was half price burger night. That made the wait much easier . Very friendly and efficient staff. The food was hot and fresh and tasty. Will def return to try the breakfast!!

Fabulous. My wife and I ordered carry-out from the Blue Moon Bistro on Saturday, June 25th, 2022. We were visiting from San Antonio, TX visiting some family and enjoying the Holmes County we both grew up in. Most of the typical Amish country restaurants and tourist traps were either closed or jam-packed, so we took a gamble and tried the Blue Moon Bistro. We ordered the following: cauliflower rice bowl with grilled chicken, the steak ciabatta sandwich, and the chicken tenders for my mother-in-law. My wife was very impressed with the rice bowl with grilled chicken. It was well seasoned, great flavors and fresh. The steak ciabatta sandwich had a very generous amount of steak and it too was perfectly seasoned and well balanced. My mother in law is a chicken tender expert, and she said it was good. Finally, when I was ordering, I noticed the carrot cake... sold. It was the best carrot cake I have ever had, made from scratch, on-site. It is too bad not more people are reviewing this hidden gem between Holmesville and Millersburg. They appear to have a loyal, Amish customer-base, which is another sign of the character of the place and the quality of the food. I hope it survives. It is one off the few places in that part of Holmes and Wayne country (south of Wooster) that you will find some refined, bigger city bistro tastes.

This place always seems busy . I met a friend here for lunch . It was delicious. Everything from the Fried pickle appetizer to the soft serve ice cream . I got the special which was Country fried steak with French fries and coleslaw. The fries are seasoned nicely . The steak was soft and tender . I was really impressed how even though everything was deep fried it wasn't greasy or oily at all . Nice and crisp. I got a hot latte which was also very good . The soft serve was really good . Definitely need to go more frequently. We sat there and chatted for a long time . It was relaxing and quiet . It's January so not as busy . Overall highly recommend. Expect to wait a while during busy season but it's worth the wait .

Great small little restaurant in a curve in the road in Holmesville Ohio. When you're looking for different fare than the Amish food which is on every corner of Holmes County try out this bistro. Small menu but everything I've tried is excellent especially the homemade chips. Their steak sandwich on ciabatta is incredibly delicious and requires minimal chewing as it's sooo tender.

Great food with good sized portions. Took longer than expected to get food, but I guess that's the new normal in the restaurant world. Those home made chips are delicious!

My husband and I had dinner here recently. The Greek salad and the mac & cheese were delicious and the service was very efficient and friendly. We would definitely come back.

Blue Moon has excellent food and always has great service! Never had a bad experience and the staff is always very friendly even when they are busy.

A rarity for sure! Excellent food, pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff! I love that they have a coffee bar with espresso coupled with great breakfast! So often you have to choose between good coffee with heat and go food or good breakfast with sub par coffee, not here! Great food and great coffee come together at Blue Moon! Highly recommend this place!

Looked for 20 mins for a restaurant and thankfully found blue moon bistro, our server Hannah was extremely sweet and helpful! Restaurant had a good vibe and the staff was impressive! Definitely must try the donut burger!

my brother and i stopped in on Monday 3/4/24; after riding the Holmes County Bike Trail...we had passed this restaurant many times in the last 6-7 years (there is a trailhead that you ride up to the restaurant in Holmesville) and decided to give it a shot. it has changed names but that did not deter us...read some reviews regarding the new ownership; so today was the day. it did not disappoint. had the loaded house chips to start and devoured them. delicious! our waitress suggested one of the specials was the Perch Dinner which came with fries, hushpuppies and cole slaw...i took that and was thoroughly satisfied. my brother had read about The Blue Moon Donut Burger and he went with that...it was quite big, tasty with the glazed donut on the underside and the top part a delicious bun. he got tater tots also. the drinks (unsweetened ice tea and strawberry lemonade were served in canning jars and were excellent....overall, we are happy we stopped by to try out another excellent place to eat down in Holmes County...all bikers, do yourself a favor and give it a shot.

ZERO stars. Went in for breakfast Friday 9am after driving 15 miles out of our way to go there. Waited FORTY FIVE MINUTES and we NEVER GOT our order. Finally had to leave as we had an appointment and did not have time to eat. Waitress made up some lame excuse about having difficulty keeping kitchen help. We ended up having a disgusting "meal" at McDonald's drive thru in Millersburg. Set back our schedule all day. Really rather ruined the start of what was to be a nice day out. Will NEVER go back and will recommend everyone simply stay away.
