A Hay Street staple for more than a decade, Blue Moon does daytime right—fresh salads, sandwiches, and brunch plates—while anchoring downtown’s streetside patio scene. Called a Hay Street institution by CityView’s editors.

Amazing! The Tomato Basil Soup is the Best. Sandwiches were large and delicious. Great atmosphere. Outdoor Patio.

A small great spot for brunch in DT Fayetteville. Stayed close to I-95 andit was well worth the 10 min drive into town. Inventive menu is worth a return trip

It was a really cute shop. The staff was kind, and attentive. We were doing a double date night amungst friends. Terribly sad that almost everything we tried to order was sold out or unavailable. But what we did get was delicious anyway. It is a small shop, was a little cramped for a group of 4, would recommend sitting outside if its not raining or too hot.

The restaurant had a relaxed, DC-inspired atmosphere, with a lively outdoor patio bustling with energy. We ordered three entrees to share among the three of us, which turned out to be more than enough: The Adult Lunchable (a charcuterie board), Blue Moon Nachos with Jackfruit (with options for different proteins), and a refreshing Mandarin Beet Salad. Normally, I would not have picked these dishes for myself, as they were outside my usual comfort zone, but I’m so glad I stepped out of it. Each dish had its unique flavor, making the experience even more enjoyable. I was particularly impressed with the Blue Moon Nachos. Unlike the soggy nachos I’ve had in the past, these were perfectly crisp and steaming hot when they arrived at our table. The flavors were bold and satisfying, and they completely exceeded my expectations. The service was another highlight—it was top-notch, with a genuine, customer-first vibe that made us feel truly taken care of. Overall, the experience was fantastic. The food was flavorful and creative, and the atmosphere and service made it even more enjoyable. 100% I would definitely return. Thank you for such a wonderful time!

This is our first visit to downtown Fayetteville and the general area is quaint and walkable and welcoming. The vibe is cool but not cluttered or bustling, just the right tone of busy. The cafe is artistic in its own right. The walls were decorated with painted portraits Marilyn Monroe and of Fayettevilles own Jermaine Cole, which speak to the richness yet native nature of the menu items. Our server was a magnificent person, she was pleasant, engaging and had numerous suggestions on which items to try. I decided on the chicken gyro and my wife had the chicken salad. The food was good and not overly salty but good healthy minded items. Good atmosphere, good area, we sat outside and folks we met in passing were also very nice. We will be back to explore more...

Yelp
If you haven't been here, you are definitely missing out . This is hands down one of my favorites in Fayetteville. The vibe is a solid 10 stars the food is always amazing and the prices are on point as well. I will update with photos soon on my next visit because I discovered I had left my phone at home . Keep up the fantastic work Blue Moon !

Yelp
An eclectic little place in downtown Fayetteville. My wife and I stopped in to try something new. We really appreciated all of their little touches as well as our wonderful meal! We truly thought the carrot curry hummus was absolutely delicious!

Yelp
Sandwiches CBR (chicken bacon ranch) and Big N Nicer are amazing. Best tomato basil soup I've ever had! Staff is super friendly and there was no wait

Yelp
Went for lunch on a Saturday, abundant seating at 1200 - win! Ordered a Miller High Life and the Cobb Salad with Chicken. Beer and actual salad were good. Chicken was dry, almost like the stuff you get in the refrigerator section at a grocery store. Friendly staff and cool location in the heart of downtown Fayetteville. Cool wall art and option for indoor or outdoor seating. Aside from the chicken - killer spot for lunch.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to eat and hang out downtown. The staff is always so friendly and attentive. We enjoy sitting on the patio during great weather. The Seasonal Baked Brie is a must! I have so many favorite dishes to choose from, it's hard to pick just one! The Tacos, Mac N' Cheese and Cubano are my top favorites! Highly recommend for an overall downtown Fayetteville experience

Yelp
They weren't open during their posted open hours after we had driven to eat there. We ended up at the Italian place next door, I'd recommend going there instead

Yelp
It's been a solid 10 years or so since I've been able to come back to Blue Moon Cafe! I ordered the same thing I ordered back then... a bowl of tomato soup & grilled cheese... Excellent then and even excellent now! It came out hot and I loved every bite! My husband got the hot honey flat bread and it was amazing. Our server was very on top of things and super kind! The location has had some updates and the inside seating is limited but it definitely has that cozy vibe! Happy to be able to come back after so long and still love everything about this spot!

Yelp
Simple but eclectic menu. Vibrant staff with an attention to details. Always leave this place with a smile.

Yelp
I have been about five times now. I love their seasoned chicken and salad. Some of the other dishes are very good as well. The staff has always been attentive and quick.

Yelp
I was one of the luckiest people in the world to have experienced the Thanksgiving Burger here. They only do a Burger of the Week on Mondays and they only do this burger once a year for Thanksgiving. The handmade turkey burger with baked Brie on top was life altering. I left the cafe and I could see 42 extra shades of color. People danced down the street as if it were a musical. And if it wasn't for our server recommendation I never would have known and I wouldn't be talking to you about it right now. For that I am forever grateful.

Yelp
U MUST ORDER the TACOs. OMG they are the best I have had in years. The chicken tacos were the amazing! The dragon fruit tacos were really good. This restaurant is a healthy choice but a delicious one. Worth the money and the time.

Yelp
Enjoyed our brunch tremendously and staff was so helpful tailoring a plate for my 8 year old grandson. Good people, good food and relaxed atmosphere. We'll come back often. We enjoyed our meal so much I forgot to take pictures but everything was plated beautifully as well.

Yelp
I love Blue Moon! It's a cute spot to go for a cocktail and bite to eat. The past few times we've gone have been rather hot inside -- but I would likely blame that on the inability of most places to keep up with this insane weather and it being a smaller restaurant! We've never had bad service when we've gone and the food is usually very fresh. Recommend!
google avatar

Yelp
I love this unique little slice of heaven! The food is spectacular: layers of flavor, excellent presentation, perfect portions. Unusual and delicious option for vegans to carnivores. Every menu item is exceptional. Note: if you are gluttonous you probably need a buffet somewhere. The staff is always friendly and engaging. The ambience is eclectic, warm, light. On top of all that, they are consistent. This is something I very much value as I don't eat out much due to cost. One bad experience and I won't be back. This place has never disappointed me. It's a must if you're downtown.

Yelp
Fantastic and fresh local food! We had Hunter as our server and my gosh he was so sweet. Signature cocktails on rotation but great seating outside as well. Very sweet.

Yelp
Walked in right as they opened and they already had a packed house. However we did get sat at the small hit top bar . It was a little uncomfortable but we managed . The wait staff was very high energy and our waitress went over a few things on the menu when they could. I ordered a coffee and we got the Blue moon dip for a starter . It arrived quickly and tasted really good. The cheese in it was delicious. I do with the carrots were cut in half as they were a decent size. He got the ginger bread french toast and i got the breakfast tacos. The french toast was good but had a ton of the ginger bread mix on it which made it a bit overwhelming. The tacos were good . I do wish they had a deeper flavor to them. They also were a bit greasy . I did also get a mimosa as well which was delicious. Overall i would go back

Yelp
The best food and people! Great vibes all around here! Sunday brunch is always a hit!

Yelp
Second time around. Same vibes same quality, just a little more crowded. Got the No bucks given, basically a mule- very tasty, and the New Mexico sour, looks great, taste is just ok. The chicken tacos really good, juice poured out the first few bites. The blue moon dip was good but the crab dip was better. Nice chill spot.

Yelp
Favorite place ever. Food is exceptional, so many options, all are delicious. Drink's superb. Servers are my favorite part of the experience . Really good vibes and ambiance, with the smells of great food. Always a blast.

Yelp
This was the stopping point for what seemed like a never ending day of apartment hunting in Fayetteville. The downtown area seems like it will be fun to explore, and Blue Moon may end up being a fave! We shared a delightful charcuterie board to start, with just coke and water to drink. I had the tomato basil soup with a tuna melt, and my other half had tacos. The soup was velvety smooth and full of flavor, with the tuna melt being cheesy and full of a yummy tuna salad. I enjoyed this meal so much, as well as the cool vibe here. I will be back for sure!

Yelp
This place was phenomenal when I went in with my friends last month. Brunch was great and affordable. Our server was super friendly and the placed looked amazing inside and out. I need to go back and check it out again. Also in a great location.

Yelp
Went here for dinner with my mom and it was my first time. We started off with the signature blue moon dip (10/10)(forgot to take a picture because we were so hungry haha) which was awesome. It was very cheesy and I liked that it came with an assortment of veggies to dip. My favorite ones to dip with were the zucchini and the pita bread. My mom got the cubano and I got the flatbread with corn, hot cheeto dust, and pork on top. We shared with each other and she really liked both of the dishes. I, on the other hand, didn't really care for either. The cubano (1/10) was super sweet for it to be a sandwich. The flatbread (1/10) was SUPER corny -for a lack of better words. The flavor of the corn was just very overwhelming. I like the bread, cheese, meat, and cheetos on it and if it had other stuff besides the entire bottom being corn, I think I would've liked it. Our server was Shelby and she was very nice, offering her favorites since we couldn't decide what to order. After noticing that I didn't like my food she offered to get me something else but I decided not to take her up on that. Very nicely decorated inside and everyone seems nice. It is a little small inside but there are also outdoor seating options. The staff doesn't wear masks (only seen 1-2 that did) and they are not enforcing the indoor mask mandate for customers. I would come back and give it another try!

Yelp
I really liked the Blue Moon Cafe. The restaurant is smallish, but somehow does not feel the least bit constricting. Service was good, but considering almost every table was within arm's reach, certainly to be expected. During less inclement weather, it would be nice to sit in the patio fronting the building. My excellent sandwich was accompanied by a very fresh salad, with outstanding ranch dressing, most likely made here. But the inadequate and drab signage really needs some sparking up. We would not have come here, but for the recommendation of the docent at the nearby Transportation Museum. This place is very popular with the locals, and that's all one needs to know.

Yelp
My husband and I were on a road trip and stopped here for lunch. I cannot recommend this place enough. The food was delicious. I got the C.A.B. Salad and it was perfect. Also, the staff was so accommodating. I spoke to Amy on the phone before coming in and she was helpful with finding their updated menu.

Yelp
Ended a bar crawl here, and of course had to order nachos. We had no idea what we were in for. This was some of the best nachos we've ever had! We also loved your drinks. Thanks for ending our night on a high note!

Yelp
I enjoy coming to Blue Moon Cafe once a month or more, if possible. I'm always greeted by and treated well by Meilani. She always helps with choices and provides some of the best drinks I've had in Fayetteville. I enjoy the charcuterie and Lox the most there. The vibe is relaxed with a little upbeat ambiance and not overly loud to where you cannot enjoy your conversations/company.

Yelp
GREAT food and a great service overall the blue moon Cafe is a #1 spot to check out in the Fayetteville downtown area. ~Omar

Yelp
Good spot to hit on a bar hopping kind of night. The mixed cocktails are pretty good, not very strong, but they look and taste good. I've tried the food but nothing sticks out to me. Beers are cold and it's a nice spot

Yelp
I came here for the first time on a Monday, it was crazy busy because they were open unlike most of the other restaurants downtown. They took our name and number and we had to wait about 20 minutes or so to be seated. The menu isn't extensive but the food was so good my coworker and I came back again today! We loved our meals both days! Great place, very small though so if you go on a Monday like us be prepared to wait. But definitely recommend!
google avatar

Yelp
I'll start with the positives, most of the food was pretty good, our female server was very kind, the beer was good, and there was a good selection. Cute atmosphere and vibes. The nachos are delicous if you are a salt lover like me. Con, one of the male staff seemed irritated that we had a bit of a larger group, the floors, and walls were gross, so was the bathroom, it had sticky floors. The charcuterie board did not taste like the cheese or salmon was fresh. The portions for the price were not good in my opinion. With a larger party we were able to try a good variety of things and I wasn't really impressed. All in all I would spend my money elsewhere, won't be back.

Yelp
Beautiful place with amazing food and service! The blue moon dip was incredible - highly suggested!

Yelp
The Blue Moon Cafe - a wonderful little stop for drinks and food.. New to the area, stopped into The Blue Moon Cafe and was happy to find my new favorite place. The service was fantastic - attentive yet not over annoying - super friendly and helpful. The menu has a good drinks and beer selection as well as a great food selection. Will definitely visit again and again and again, so should you if you haven't yet, step inside to your new favorite place :0)

Yelp
We were in downtown Fayetteville to grab lunch. My husband picked this place. It was a Saturday. They had just started serving $2 mimosas on Saturday now too instead of only on Sundays. Got to choose from orange or peach mimosa! I wasn't too impressed by the menu options. It was a small menu. Also their special sandwich of the day was a Bahn mi for $14. To me that was outrageous! Back in Cleveland you can get one for $5-6. I ordered the big nice'n it's a smoked turkey panini with red onion, basil pesto, tomato on a ciabatta bread. I got their tomato soup as my side instead of potato chips or potato salad. Or you can pay $2 more for their Mac n cheese or sub a soup. I have to say the food was good and the soup was made from scratch. What I didn't like was the space was small. When we got there they were pretty busy and the only place to sit was at the bar. Personally I would wait for a table to become available. It was not a good dining experience sitting where the waitresses hung out between waiting on customers. It was very busy and hard to eat and enjoy the company of your date. From the other reviews I would probably try the blue moon or crab dip the next time I visit and sit at a table and not at the bar.

Yelp
Their Sunday brunch is to die for! Everything hits on point. The drinks, food, staff and ambiance are amazing! 10/10 recommend if you're looking for a good place to eat for brunch that doesn't give you the basic boring breakfast combos!

Yelp
The Blue Moon nachos are so good I went with my friend for a day out and brought some home and my mom loved it so I took her for much and dose enjoyed it. I also recommend the Strawberry Lemonade and they don't charge for refills.

Yelp
Food was great, servers were very friendly! The menu is fairly small but so is the restaurant. I love how they have plenty of vegan options!!!

Yelp
Came to this spot a few years ago while visiting my best friend, and decided to hit it up again with her. The food was definitely better last time. I would come here for drinks and salad. We got the crab dip, and sent it back because it was cold. The sever was nice enough to make a whole new one which we appreciated. I got the salmon panini and my friend the Cuban. She ordered the Cuban with no ham and they still left it on there. Both her sandwich and mine were horribly salty. It was ridiculous gross. We didn't bother to send it back, just decided to stuff our faces with the dip and drinks. She's come there more times than I, but usually gets a salad. FYI It's a cute spot, with a nice patio outside, right down town. The prices were okay, and there's lots of street parking, so I think it depends on the time of day you go. Overall, I probably won't come back.

Shon B.

Yelp
In town for a work trip and came across this place. The prosciutto and apple flatbread was delicious. Friendly staff and great service. Would stop by again.

Yelp
Server was nice and polite! But we didn't care much for the food or the atmosphere. I will never return. No disrespect for this establishment, just not my cup of tea!
google avatar

abigail p.

Yelp
This place was very cute, even on the outside, they had a cute patio area but it was a little chilly so most people chose to eat inside. It was lunch time so there were multiple groups inside and with how small it was it did get a little crowded since everyone chose to eat inside. The food was absolutely amazing. Definitely coming back here in the future!
google avatar

Yelp
I love everything I ordered . Great people , food and wine !!! I'll be back a lot most definitely
google avatar

Yelp
All their food is good but I love their brunch menu! The breakfast tacos are fantastic and so is the monte cristo flatbread. They make great drinks too! I love their blood orange aperol spritz.

Yelp
Where can I start!? Food, staff, service, atmosphere, and scenery are phenomenal everytime I'm there. I can't find or think of a single thing to say negatively outside of I just wish I could visit more often. They instantly welcome you in and make you feel like family. I feel like everyone of the staff members makes it a point to know your name so that when you return, they welcome you with open arms and more times than not, they remember your previous order. I LOVE it here and would highly recommend you fully trust the bartenders to make a cocktail for you that will blow your mind. Trust their food recommendations and please please please, go to Sunday Brunch! You'll thank me later! ‍

Yelp
great atmosphere, amazing food, child friendly, server was the most kind. loved this cute smaller cafe!

Yelp
A group of friends and I stopped by the Blue Moon Cafe for a few drinks after a birthday dinner. The staff was fun & accommodating. The service was fast & friendly. The drinks were delicious and ice cold in contrast to the hot weather out on the patio. We didn't order entrees, but a few tables around us on the patio did & their food smelled amazing. If we weren't already full from our dinner @ Lake Gaston Brewing Co. we would've ordered food! I look forward to our next visit & ordering some of their delicious entrees next time!!

Yelp
This is a hidden gem in Fayetteville. The staff is absolutely wonderful and they have great vegetarian options.

Waylon B. T.

Yelp
Neat establishment with great food and service. It's a little cramped but keeps the experience personal and unique. Menu was tasty, and I enjoyed every bite and every minute of the visit.
