The lobster (s) I purchased @ $19.00 per lbs. We're not good. Both had a black tar substance inside the tails and it wasn't tamale! Last time I buy fresh lobster from them.

Found this amazing place to get LIVE Lobster in Kona. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. If you're craving Lobster 🦞 definitely check it out. 👍👍

I bought the largest lobster from a not-so-welcoming lady and I paid like $70 but it was just disappointing. Super stinky and skinny inside. I wonder how the poor lobster was even living with nothing much inside lol

They sell Live maine lobster, kona Kampachi (collar, filet or whole) Dungenes crab, Pacific asian oyster, Kumamoto and kushi Oyster, shrimp.... The oysters are so sweet. We grilled the kampachi collar and it melted like butter.

Would give this place 00 Stars but that is not possible. This place unfortunately has taken over Kona Cold Lobster and does not sell Kampachi slabs per their very limited walk up menu, only the scraps like the heads and colars. While I do love the Colars I wanted Sashimi....Not gonna happen. They also posted "fresh Kona Kampachi" what we got was frozen, the clerk didnt even offer anyother options when asked for unfrozen fresh and had the nerve to look at me like I am the problem. They need to serve our communities wants not just use our water and sunshine then sell us scraps. Typical. Never going back. Hope they read this and change their ways.

Blue Ocean takes over and making changes. Nobody answers the phone, prices went up. The new website doesn't show products being sold anymore. I don't want to drive all the way there just find out an item is sold out. You should focus on improving the customer experience before raising your prices.

We were assisted by a friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff member (blond curly hair and thrasher t shirt) we got two huge beautiful Dungeness crabs and Kumamoto oysters. Thank you for the fresh seafood and stellar customer service, we’ll be back!

Yelp
I love kanpachi sashimi, which is hard to come by in Oregon. I was super excited to learn there's a kanpachi farm in Kona! They have a retail window here where you can purchase fresh kanpachi filets ($20/lb) (or whole) along with other seafood. They are pre-packaged in various weights. They recommend consuming it in a day if you're eating it raw. The price can't be beat for never-frozen kanpachi, since this is the source for other markets. It's located behind the airport, and they send you home with an ice pack to keep your goods cold.

Yelp
If you are seafood person, highly recommend to come and shop here Kona Kampachi(fillet, collared, or whole), lobsters, oysters, etc.... Everything fresh and good price. I and my family always stay at Airbnb when we visit big island, so we buy fish and shellfish, enjoy eating as sashimi and BBQ grilling. By a GPS, if you input "Blue Ocean Mariculture" they lead you a wrong place, but just keep going ahead, you can find this selling place right next to Kona Sea Salt. (On Yelp, this address is correct) Front of their place, there is a parking lots. There is an order counter and you can order them, they packed with blue ice(they put the box but recommend to bring your cooler bag or box). They don't take preorder, so first come and get. Sometimes they sold out so quick. Well, one thing, this time we ordered two Kona Kanpachi (that usually we bought), and paid back to our Airbnb, put refrigerator, we found two packages of Kona Kanpachi fillet (one package have two fillet from one fish),,,, so total we have four fillet,,, huuuum they think one fillet means from one fish fillet!? Well, we enjoyed all seafood that we bough, so no problem but when we shop next time, we'll ask them how they count for their order.
