Great local coffee shop. Dropped by Friday around noon for a sandwich and a coffee, and stuck around to work for a few hours.
Coffee/Drinks: I got a pour over, so I can't vouch for their coffee cocktails. But I will say the pour over was really tasty. It looks like they had about 4 kinds of coffee to choose from (with 1 of them being decaf). The names of the coffee are on a board, but you can ask what they're like if you're not sure. The coffee cocktails sounded pretty good though. I'll have to go back and get one sometime.
Food: They have a nice little display case of baked goods, which again I can't vouch for taste-wise since I got sandwich. The sandwiches are prepackaged and, when I stopped by, they only had one kind out (Caprese) so that's what I got. On the plus side, it was really good, and I was ultimately glad I got it. I do wish that they had some more choices for sandwiches than just 1, but since they're still fairly new at this location, maybe that'll come with time. I wouldn't count it as a drawback unless you have very specific tastes or cravings that day. But if you're a bit aimless and like "look, I just need lunch," it's perfect.
Service: The service was fantastic. The barista who took my order cheerfully fielded my questions about my food and coffee options, and chased down the previous customer who had forgotten their card in the reader. The barista who made my pour over also came to find me to let me know that they only had 2 pour over pots that were both processing previous orders already so it would be a bit longer for mine. Ultimately, very attentive despite it being fairly busy.
Working space: There's quite a bit of room, actually, and lots of power outlets around the edges. As I left I even saw that there's a second smaller seating area in the back through some glass doors. It was fairly busy but I didn't have any trouble finding a seat by an outlet for just myself. There is free WiFi, though my computer kept bringing up pop-ups about certificates and authentication which was a bit annoying.
Parking: Of course parking going to be annoying, it's right by campus. I parked in the garage just to the north. I'm not sure if they validate (tbh I didn't ask), but it would be nice if they did and they advertised it. Again, maybe something that could develop as they settle in at that location.
Verdict: I look forward to going back!
