Lived in the area all my life, first time here. I've been missing out! Food, service and atmosphere was great! We will definitely be back. Loved that the owner, Nick, checked on the tables himself. ☑️ ✅Steamed Oysters ✅Steak Oscar ✅Lobster and Shrimp Risotto ✅Cheesecake with apples and caramel drizzle and a dollop of cinnamon icecream

Blue Pete's is a fun place for food and drinks. They have indoor and outdoor seating. In the summer, live music outdoors and open for your special occasions. Kids like to feed the fish in the bayou. When you order food, you better be hungry! The servings are plentiful! In the winter, they offer a B.O.G.O. dinner. Buy One Get One FREE;)) Drinks 🍸 there's a variety of beers 🍻 , a variety of specialty mix 🍸 🍹 They have handicap access and ample vehicle parking, water access for your boat, or jetski and come as you are is welcomed. I highly recommend and Enjoy!;))

First time driving out to Blue Pete’s over the weekend for a birthday dinner and we had a great experience! Well worth the drive out to Pungo, in my opinion. Although they were busy, we were seated pretty quickly. We had a great server who was attentive despite being busy. The vibe is great! I love being able to eat on the water and they had live music which was good. If you’re not a fan of live music while you eat, definitely recommend eating inside or checking the calendar before you head over there. The food was delicious! I had the mango mahi which I enjoyed but I did snag a bit of a crab cake from someone I was with and it was honestly the best crab cake I’ve had in the area.

Google
I bought tickets to their wine dinner for 85 dollars a ticket. The water they had tasted like iron, The food wasn't very good and I felt like portions were small. The food choices weren't what they said it would be too. I felt wasn't worth the cost.

Google
Fantastic food, service, and atmosphere! Awesome venue, great seating indoors and out, scenic tucked in with the waterway. Biscuit flight, Ruddy Duck, and Oatmeal Cream Latte were all fun and delicious, Redneck Bennie savory and perfectly prepared, and Cinnamon Crunch French Toast is a must-try - rich, deep-fried, and delicious. Some fun seasonal drinks as well, maybe a little light on the alcohol, but that's okay with us at brunch. Update 04/2024 - brunch was great, so returned for dinner! Another good experience, Smash Flight is fun and strong, Pungo Crush is a little lighter and a perfect combination of raspberry, pineapple, and cranberry. Side salad and BBQ wings good, standard; She-Crab soup is an outstanding must try! Shrimp po boy and brisket French dip sandwiches both great, plenty of brisket and cream cheese on French dip are uniquely amazing, as are rich Mac n cheese and tasty sweet potato fries. Key lime pie for dessert very good as well, definitely recommend!

We drive 45 minutes to eat here. We had brunch this morning and it was excellent. Everything was good from the coffee to the food to the service. The biscuits and gravy might be the best I’ve ever had. No complaints. The dinner here is good as well always consistent and high quality. I am very picky about where I spend my hard earned money and I can tell you that these negative reviews are not at all what we have experienced every single time we go.

Google
Great hideaway in Pungo. We stopped there as part of a motorcycle ride. It was busy so we had to ask for refills and silverware. But, everyone was very friendly. I had the BLT & Sweet Potatoe Bread Pudding. The sandwich was filled with crispy bacon and fresh lettuce and tomatoes. The side fruit bowl contained fresh and rippen fruit. The Sweet Potatoe Bread Pudding was a different take on the ole time dish. It all came together to make a unique delicious dessert. I'll be coming back.

The food is AWESOME as is the wait staff. Very impressed. Wednesday night with only a slight weight.

Yelp
Food was very good and we'll seasoned and tasty. Service was excellent. Ambiance was very nice! Sat outside and enjoyed our dinner! Would go back here anytime I'm in the area.

Yelp
We hadn't visited Blue Petes in a while and decided to before it was too cold to sit outside. We got there pretty much at open. The service and the food were excellent. The habanero bacon jelly, mac and cheese, and all sides were tasty. I took advantage of the free dessert by checking in on Yelp, and wow, the sweet potato bread pudding was tremendous! We had a minor hiccup while closing out on the table side card reader (that the server caught! And went out of his way to make it right and make sure we were billed the proper amount)

Yelp
Visited Blue Petes on the recommendation from coworkers. I saw some prior reviews and photos and felt confident about choosing it as a dining option. It is good for solo dining, groups, couples and if you just want drinks and desserts. There is a pond in the back with a bridge that gives good vibes for photos, proposals and enjoying nature. If seated near the window, it can be a fishbowl of sorts when people are waiting to be seated and peer in and watch you eat. Reservations aren't required but helpful if you have a large party. There is an automatic gratuity that they don't speak to, but you're made aware of when paying your bill. The feelings behind this could be quelled if there is signage to let new patrons know what the expectation is. Cash and credit cards are accepted. There is an unpaved parking lot so be mindful if you're wearing heels or hypersensitive about debris getting on your clothes and shoes as you transit. When it's rainy outside, expect splattering. As you enter there is a hostess stand and they'll inquire about the size of your party and seat you. If you'd like a window seat, ask and it may be accommodated. As you wait, you can use the QR code to go paperless for the menu. When trying to read the paper copy of the menu, I found it to be dimly lit and just used my phone. Complimentary corn muffin bites are provided as you wait. Ask what the daily drink specials are or simply order from their drink menu if you have a go to adult beverage. Soft drinks, tea and water are also available. They put a lot of ice in the drinks so be mindful of that. I found the dining experience to be fair to moderate. Not sure if it was because it was graduation season and it was a bustling evening or just latency among the servers. There wasn't enough that makes me want to run back but it wasn't horrible. It had good atmosphere to chill out and enjoy some food and drinks. The price point versus the portions seemed to have a slight disparity. Be aware that weekends are a peak time and you'll be waiting. Verify by calling in advance of their hours as they were subject to change.

Yelp
Blue Pete's Restaurant is practically an institution in the Pungo section of Virginia Beach. If you've never been there, do yourself a treat and check it out at your soonest opportunity. They specialize in seafood but they are not solely a seafood restaurant. They have many other choices on the menu. I'm a big fan of their Crab Cakes. These things are huge and they are cooked to perfection just the way you like it, no matter if you like yours grilled, broiled or fried, they have you covered.

Yelp
Nice people, good brunch. Get the surf scooter! Lobster, shrimp and a bloody. It's worth it!

Yelp
So impressed by this place! To be totally honest, I didn't expect to give a 5-star review just because the photos of their food looked much more "home-cooked" than the restaurants I typically gravitate towards, however that ended up being the beauty of Blue Petes. It's a huge restaurant which I also didn't expect. Tons of seating, both indoors and outdoors. We sat inside on one trip and outdoors on another. Both are great. We also love how family-friendly it is while still offering amazing cocktails and a fun atmosphere! Let's talk food: the Mahi Imperial and the Seafood pasta are both delicious! We also got the oysters rockefeller which was really good, but their brownie sundae is what we couldn't stop raving about. So well done! This has now become one of the spots we take guests when they are in town. Don't skip Blue Pete's!

Joy M.

Yelp
Personally, I loved the at home ambiance! Service was spectacular, the staff even gave us the option to move away from a large party. The crab dip was amazing! The fish and chips were everything I wanted. However, my spouse ordered the macaroni and cheese as a side, which was 3 bites of pasta. Overall, great experience and want to visit again!

Yelp
I think this is my most visited restaurant in the Hampton Roads area. For good reason. Actually many good reasons. If you still have not given this place a try, I encourage you to do so. Right now during the winter season, they have a buy one entree get one free on Sundays. I've tried and liked so many options off the menu, but my all time favorite has to be the a crab encrusted salmon. Oh, and if you like carrot cake, it is so moist and yummy. I would have taken a photo of that too, but it's in my belly. You can't go wrong with any choice you make on the menu and the service is always outstanding.

Yelp
Came here to have brunch with my friend for her birthday. We've heard good things and love the neighboring restaurants in Pungo so we wanted to check it out. The restaurant was spacious with indoor and outdoor seating on a nice patio. We chose to sit inside because of the humidity. We started with water and cocktails. We got the Hibiscus Aperol Spritz, The Back Canvas and the Pungo Smash Flight. All of the drinks were really good which is what I have specifically heard from people who have been. For an app we got the biscuit flight that came with 3 large biscuits, along with a cheese sauce, berry jam and hot honey to accompany. The biscuits were large and had great texture but were served cold which took away from the taste/experience of eating it for me. The hot honey tasted off but we enjoyed the berry jam and the cheese sauce. For our main entrees we all happened to order 3 items marked as a "flock favorite" which included the lobster bowl, the Redneck Bennie and the hot honey chicken biscuit. Everyone enjoyed their food and I think the redneck Bennie was flavorful and extremely hearty plate full of food. I'd actually love to have the contents over grits. The shrimp was cooked beautifully as well as the chorizo. One of us opted for the hot honey on the side of the chicken biscuit and enjoyed the fry of the chicken. The lobster bowl was also a nice hearty portion of eggs and potatoes. We overall enjoyed the meal rating it about an 8.5/10. Our server Alfredo was nice and even took our photo for us as we were struggling to take a selfie. I would definitely come back here again and I'd like to try the dinner menu as well.

Yelp
We ate at Blue Petes on 13SEP2024. There seemed to be a reunion having dinner there, so we were glad we arrived at 5. Tim S, our server, kept us updated on the status of our order and took good care of us. We had calamari as our appetizer. My wife had Mango Mahi, my daughter had fish and chips, and I had fried oysters. The mahi and the oysters were the best entrees. Both the calamari and the fish and chips had more coating than Calabash style seafood. Some of the fish had an inch of batter surrounding the fish. The service was very good, but for the prices, we will try other options if we vacation in Sandbridge again.

Yelp
I have a confession!! I've lived in the Virginia beach area since oooo the early 1960's and this was my first visit to the infamous Blue Pete's Of course the first thing I thought was -- what was I waiting for !! Met my Niece for Brunch ! I was expecting a high priced menu I was wrong great great brunch prices The food well you can't stay around as long as blue Petes has without being great ! I had the Redneck Bennie .. Once you look, Smelll and Taste the first thing that came into my mind was How do the make some so amazing and yet keep at the price of a regular breakfast! When I told me server it was my first time .. she gave me that look .. you know like how the heck.. Then she got excited and told I have to come in the warm weather because it's so fun !! She was So great.. Set on the water with powerful views ! Nice deck.. separate deck for bands and many other areas your can roam and enjoy yourself. This coming weekend is my Birthday so Looks like another brunch is in my future

Yelp
We truly enjoyed our entire experience here. We sat outside by the water and it was beautiful. We ordered the Mahi Imperial, which was delicious. We also had some crab legs, shrimp and a Caesar salad and it was excellent. The sweet potato biscuits are the best. As the saying goes, " slap ya momma" good! The only drawback was the orange crush. Not the best I've had and would not recommend. Although the large did come in a small bucket. The service was very good as the waitress was very attentive. We will be back.

Lauren H.

Yelp
Delicious food & good drinks. Went with a larger group and was able to sample a few things on the menu, liked everything I tried! -1star for not taking reservations and for price compared to atmosphere.

Anne P.

Yelp
Service was good and ambience was fun. The food was only fair. The She Crab soup was salty and very thick. They put Old Bay Seasoning on the calamari, making it taste weird. The fried oysters were over done, almost burnt. The coconut shrimp was the same and very thickly breaded. We thought this may have been caused by the oil they fried in must have been old for the fried food to be so dark, almost burnt. However, those who ordered the scallops and crab cakes were happy with their meal.

Mony G.

Yelp
I have to say I'm beyond impressed with this little gem of a restaurant!! A friend recommended we go here and we come out for our date night. (without the kids) So cozy, Surprisingly large restaurant where you can eat outside or inside. We opted to eat outside, and the drinks were divine (Pungo smash was the best)! Also live music started at 6pm on Saturday evening. Highly recommend the "Charlottes crabby fries" it's delicious bc they pour she crab soup on them or opt for the she crab soup!!! You will be super happy.

Trevor H.

Yelp
I wasn't impressed by this spot. Came here for restaurant week and was hoping to see why this place was so hyped, but I couldn't buy into it. The water tasted weird, so I wouldn't recommend drinking it. Their chicken wings are fine for an app, but nothing to rave about. Lastly I got their Shrimp Fra Diavolo which was horrible to taste. It had no flavor, it was just hot in taste and that's it. Even when I had my friend's chicken alfredo, it just tasted like mush. The service was kind and understanding of me not enjoying their food and took it off the bill. I can't say I'm a fan of this restaurant, but maybe you'll have a better time eating here than me.

Colleen V.

Yelp
Great food and great ambience! Kiddos had a blast playing & enjoyed the food, too. They even helped some other kiddos reel in and net a huge catfish. The adults conversed and enjoyed everything. Alfredo was friendly and very attentive. Will definitely be returning! Thanks

Tina G.

Yelp
This is our favorite Virginia Beach restaurant. The vibe is relaxed and the food is always excellent; brunch, lunch, or dinner. The service is great, with knowledgable and friendly servers. Our server today was Brett and he was very attentive and had a great personality. It's especially fun when they have live music, but even on a chill, quiet day, it's just a beautiful place to enjoy a meal. We can't wait to come back!

Lorie F.

Yelp
Two solid visits. First visit was for brunch. Second, was a private event my friend and I held for our friend's birthday. Blue Pete's staff rocked, set up was gorgeous, & the food absolutely delicious. We opted for the buffet format which included salad(which I didn't see), sweet potato biscuits, an appetizer, 3 entrees, 2 sides, coffee, tea, soda. The salmon, pasta dishes, and brisket were cooked perfectly. We did have a side of spinach which I believe replaced the salad. All of the guests thoroughly enjoyed. My favs were the coconut shrimp & salmon. Everything else was equally delicious! My friend worked w/ a woman named Dawn when setting up the event. We heard she was there the day of the party. We would have loved to meet her in person. Our servers, April & Macy were outstanding. Extremely attentive and upbeat! If planning a party, I'd recommend following up with people who RSVP. Once you give the final count, that is what you are responsible paying for. Of course, not the restaurants fault. I loved that we were able to take all of the leftovers home. Highly recommend Blue Pete's for any occasion!

Elena K.

Yelp
we've been Blue Pete's customers for years During every season with and without promos and deals but today we had an absolutely awful service.... The food was over-seasoned amd bitter the service wasn't great at all the woman that served us refused to take gift cards that we literally bought with cash saying we can't use those on a Sunday we've been to this location many sundays and we have used gift cards before and was never a problem with that if you have some restrictions on use of your own gift cards it should be brought up to your customers before they even invest in those gift cards and once again before they order anything There could be a case where people would simply not have another method of payment with them that day or whatever the case may be Just the fact that she continued to argue with us literally making already not so great dinner just absolutely awful is not acceptable we would let all our friends and family know how badly we were treated and this lady said she was a manager - what manager would start a conflict ?? managers should find resolutions and not start issues at dinner for someone who didn't even initiate a food tasting complaint -Mahi tasted awfully bad today This is not the way to treat your loyal customers I personally have brought so much business to you guys Referred friends and co-workers to you for years.... but not anymore Absolutely Horrible Service and definitely not the way to do business ... manager was a not right with what she did ....

Rocio M.

Yelp
Food was very good...Crab experience in almost every dish! The place was very nice and warm and we were very well-served by Reagan A good place for family time this Summer

Terry D.

Yelp
This is the spot!!! Drinks (get the buckets) and food are awesome! The ambience and vibe are the best in VB. Skip on over from Sandbridge or drive down from VB proper, you won't be disappointed! The seafood dishes are great - had Mahi, scallops, crab cakes, and pasta plus others. I could go on and on so just go!

Elizabeth A.

Yelp
My kids and I went here for their St. Patrick's day buffet. They offered face painting, and tinsel hair, as well as giving each child a little St.P goody bag in lieu of a kids menu. The atmosphere was chill and very welcoming, our waitress (and the others I spoke to) was/were very sweet and helpful, and I haven't even mentioned the food yet! It was delicious, which I honestly expected(!), and the buffet they were featuring for this event had everything! Fruit, quiche, biscuits, gravy, chicken tenders, potatoes, bacon, eggs, sausage, French toast, waffles...the list could go on! There was also an entire table dedicated to desserts! I loved this experience, and am looking forward to when I am able to go again and try their every day menu!

Mary R.

Yelp
I mean really. What's not to love about this place? The food- delicious. Staff- awesome. Drinks-keep em' pouring. The set up- open to roam free! Give them a follow so you can participate with all their upcoming events! Never know...you might win a gift card!

Landon T.

Yelp
This restaurant is tucked into a rather remote and rural area of Virginia Beach, but it is definitely worth the trip. We had salmon and brisket, both of which were delicious. The service was excellent: very friendly and attentive. Also, if you go on Sunday night, the entrees are 2 for 1.

Ray R.

Yelp
Great sirloin steak, so juicy and tender, with salad and baked potato, service was excellent and everyone was so nice, cool restaurant sitting on water and very secluded, can't wait to comeback.

Gabe C.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to eat Cool spot in the swamp essentially but it's way cooler than it sounds, they have plenty of live events and music. Awesome staff and even better food (respectfully) Good spot for anything from a burger to seafood, worth the prices. Try the big mojito, but make sure you've got a DD

Charles R W.

Yelp
I haven't been to Blue Pete's in many years and did not disappoint, service was great and the food was excellent. It was very busy due to the after work crowd but once it cleared out was a great place to eat .

Jennifer D.

Yelp
I REALLY wanted to love this place. I loved the location, the feel, and the bar was great. I knew the reviews were mixed before going, but I wanted to give it a try. Plan on a minimum of 2 hours. 1 hour to wait for your table, 30-45 min to get your food, and 15-30 minutes to eat (or not eat bc it wasn't good to begin with). I ordered the surf and turf - sirloin and scallops. Thank goodness the surf was good otherwise i would have walked away hungry. 6 jumbo scallops (great portions for not a bad price) but the steak was likely the worst steak I've ever had. I thought it tasted like gas, but after my husband tried it he said it was charbroil. The problem is the char was so strong that's all I could taste. I tried A1 but that didn't even mask the flavor. My husband had the Ribeye. It wasn't charred, but it wasn't cooked either. He ordered medium and it came out rare (or rarer than rare). For all you grillers out there he informed me the grill was way too hot - they were charring the outside but not even cooking the inside. We feel they did this because they were so busy and trying to keep up. The kids meals were average but they did outdo themselves with the kids drinks. My kids had already slurped part of them down before I could take a pic. I would have given it one star, but the manager did take 1/2 off my husbands steak. They have a good thing going, but they need to slow down. Perhaps taking reservations would assist with the wait and expectations.

Yelp
Our party of 4 went to Blue Pete's on December 8. It was crowded but Santa was there. It did empty out pretty quick after the Santa session was over. We were given 3 menus instead of 4 by the hostess. I asked the waitress for another menu. Her reply: I'll do my best. Really??? She did bring the menu right away so why say I'll do my best. That is one of my pet peeves. When someone says I'll do my best, it sounds like they do not care. What can I say, it's my pet peeve. The crab dip was just OK. More cheesy tasting than crab flavor. We received a 100.00 gift certification on October 31 for a wedding present for this restaurant. Our waitress told us a holiday promotion was going on which included 2 for 1 entree. Great! The meals were just OK. When the check came, we gave the waitress our 100.00 gift certificate along with my debit card. The bill came to 228.00. We were told we could not use the gift certificate since this promotion was going on. The owner came over and again told us we could not use the gift certificate. He added his business could not stay open if everyone wanted to use gift certificates for the promotion period. I told him it was indeed 100.00 just like cash. The person that gifted us comes to Blue Pete's quite often. They paid that 100.00. He was very rude and actually told me not to come back. A gift certificate is the same as money. We ended up paying the total bill for 4 entrees so we could use the gift certificate. I wasn't going back. His wife was nice and tried to diffuse the situation. The owner is a twin so not sure which one he was. The situation was made worse by this person getting angry and saying never come back. Yes, I was angry myself but a gift certificate is the same as MONEY. And, we will not be going back to the mediocre restaurant with the rude owner.

Laura L.

Yelp
We just finished dinner here, and our server, Caroline, was great. So were the tuna bites! However, my father-in-law's oysters were nothing but overly-fried breading. Additionally, our meals came out at different times, so some members of our party were finished eating before others got their meal. One person didn't get their salad without a reminder, and another got the wrong type of fries. In short, the inconsistencies made for a meal that was not very enjoyable overall.

Isa D.

Yelp
We have done a decent amount of traveling, putting us on all different types of coasts & island's experiencing the best & fresh seafood. Their crab crusted salmon & scallops were the most mouth watering, delicious seafood entrees I've had to date. Not pictured because we inhaled both without making eye contact until the plates were licked clean. Our server had us laughing with each interaction and never had to look around wondering if he forgot about us. Only complaint is that we've been close to here for over 2 years and just now making our way to this small town country ambiance.

Peggy C.

Yelp
OMG what an amazing experience and the food was so delicious. Our server, Gin (I know I spelled it wrong) was so funny, helpful with suggestions. Table of 5, from start to finish, we all loved her, food and the experience here. Highly recommend giving this place a try and if you like funny with a sense of humor with great suggestions then Gin is your girl! Our son moved to VB so when we come to visit we like to try new stuff and this seemingly out in the middle of nowhere place scored huge on our list. I know we will be back.

Carly H.

Yelp
Great night to be outside! We were greeted with live music and waters right away when we sat down. Tylan was super helpful as he gave us recommendations on drinks and appetizers. Highly recommend the calamari that he suggested us! It came with a marinara and a sweet Thai chili dipping sauces. Honestly one of the best calamari appetizers I've had in the 757.

Julianne W.

Yelp
Literally 10/10. This place was literally our favorite spot of our entire vacation. The outside area where the pond was, you can feed the turtles while you wait. It was so cute. And then we get inside and the food was outstanding. We came here on our second night of vacation and for the rest of the trip, we were talking about how good the food was. It was a little bit of a wait, but honestly they over estimate their wait times and it's 100% worth it!

Tiffany M.

Yelp
Such a wonderful evening! Nate Sacks is a phenomenal music performer. Outside dining was perfect. Weather and music. Our server Amanda was attentive and took great care of us. Food was expeptional.

Occasio G.

Yelp
Looking for a great place off the beaten path? This is it. Let me stress that it is not close to the hustle & bustle of Virginia Beach, but that is a big part of its charm. The entire team has that southern charm, and it really seems like they want you to have a good experience. When it comes to food, they have something familiar yet unique about the dishes. Everything tasted amazing, and they had some really good options. I wish I could have ordered more but I would not have finished it. I couldn't even finish what I had ordered. It was very filling. Perfect for a getaway and to make you think about an easier time

Alexa S.

Yelp
It's a hike to get out here, but they had a pretty good brunch. It's on the water and while we were eating we saw a few boats dock for lunch. The drinks were the best part to be honest. Whether it was a mimosa flight or a signature latte, we all enjoyed. I got the biscuits and gravy and I honestly didn't like them. I ended up not eating them and just ordered a side of fries to eat. My friends loved their meals though, specifically the French toast. I'd like to try to come back for lunch or dinner. They have a lot of different events throughout the week.

Ashlee A.

Yelp
Favorite part of brunch? Seeing everyone pull up on their boats. Bit of a drive to get out these parts, but it was a nice drive. Huge parking lot and inside + outside seating. Since we got there close to opening, there wasn't a wait but there were quite a few people around. I ordered some cute vanilla coffee drink that was good. A nice mix up from my usual mimosa haha. I also ordered the crab cake sandwich. The fries were to dieeeee for and the bun as well. The crab cake itself was good. House sauce wasn't my favorite so I just opted for a lot of Mayo. Our waitress was sweet but they get quite busy.

Ciara P.

Yelp
OVERVIEW: Visiting some friends, this was such a great brunch place. Fell in love with the atmosphere and the food was outstanding. If you were getting married this would be an amazing wedding venue. Highly recommend and would go back! LOCATION: In a beautiful location by a river. They have tables outside and live bands. Boats and kayaks can dock up in the summer and it's such a magical location. Really great vibes outside and it'll sure it's beautiful with the lights. SERVICE: Service was quick and friendly and she did a great job of speaking through the specials. We had a huge party of people and she did great in accommodating everyone. FOOD: food was out of this world good! Everyone loved their meals and everything had such great flavor. Recommend the she crab soup and adding the she crab to the eggs Benedict! The drinks were fun and this is such an amazing spot for brunch

Yelp
I think they were having a bad day. The ingredients and recipes seemed to be thought out and, if well executed, good... that is where the problem came in. Griddle was dirty (see pictures), eggs overcooked, orders delivered to the wrong table. The place was a mess. There was enough there to try again but they really missed this time.

Yelp
Stopped in today. I really wish I love it here. The location is perfect but the foods been terrible. Today was BOGO Sunday. I ended up going by myself thinking I'll eat one there and take the other entree home. I ordered the lemon glazed chicken. The chicken was so dry I only ate a quarter of it. It was so bad that I passed on the free get one entrée to take home. Who does that? Me, that's how bad it was. I also ordered the strawberry crunch cupcake..one of their seasonal desserts...also terrible. Very dry. I did however see they are having a job fair and are looking for help.. hopefully things will get better.

Yelp
Great kid cocktails, and good seafood! Be prepared to pay for it though! We have been there a few times and usually the Mac and cheese is way better than this last time, but the wedge salad and the crab encrusted salmon are very very good. Overall great restaurant!

Yelp
I love Blue Pete's normally but today we came for the Mad Hatter tea party. It was so cool. They really thought out everything from decorations and costumes. Everyone was in character and it was just so neat. We each got an eat me scone and a drink me strawberry lemonade. They came around with trays of brownies and carrot cake cupcakes too. We also got tea, obviously, and they had a special menu we could order from. We could also order from the main menu, but I got the caterpillar soup (broccoli and cheddar). They also had a raffle and a photo booth thing set up in the back. Such a cool day. I'd love to do this again.

Yelp
Seriously- the best. Restaurant. In VA Beach. Can I say that out loud? Does Pungo have some sort of monopoly on the best hidden gems?? It feels like it. This spot is our absolute fav. For one, the service is always great, even when they've been understaffed. For two, the scenery and outdoor seating is amazing- there's tonnns of space (which is really important when you have 2 little kids and hope to enjoy any bit of the restaurant experience), so my boys love to explore while we're waiting on food. We've seen live music, gotten some awesome house drinks from the bar, and man the FOOD. It never disappoints. My favorites (because yes, I've been there that many times) are the tuna bowl, Mac and cheese, and coconut shrimp. Not all together, but hey, that would probably taste amazing too. Whoever their chef is- I tip my hat to you. You do an amazing job with consistency and care, and I taste your effort in the food each time I come. Can't wait for our next visit!
