Coulis Will Close Its Doors Permanently - Eater New Orleans
"Bluebird Cafe was the longtime occupant of the location now housing Coulis. Its sign is displayed in the Leah Chase Louisiana Gallery at The Southern Food and Beverage Museum." - Stephanie Carter
I found this small breakfast place Sophomore year and immediately fell in love with the food and atmosphere. My mom and I went during parent weekend and noticed they had different salt and pepper shakers for each table which was very cool. The food is great and their chocolate chip pancakes and ice cream for breakfast is absolutely amazing! Nothing like treating yourself to dessert at 9 am in the morning! You are basically covered for the rest of the day! The service was excellent and had a great time. I love coming here in the mornings for a great breakfast.

Wife and I had a nice Christmas Eve vegetarian brunch here. Was busy but getting a table for 2 was no problem, though groups of 4-5 had to wait a while. Good airy place and vibe to start the day.

Everything was awesome. We had a sweet waitress, great coffee, and a nice atmosphere. "Eggs & cakes" are really good. And the "pain perdue" French toast was good &different (brie stuffed French toast)
