Was passing through Cleveland a couple of weeks ago and popped in to Blue Point Grille for an early dinner. And I'm really glad I did. The food, service and atmosphere were fantastic. Beef carpaccio = Delicious and super tender. The presentation was also very special. Calamari = Very crispy and well seasoned. Also loved the sauce. Oysters = So fresh and good. Caesars Salad = One of the best I've ever had. Very tangy and authentic. The drinks were also great - even the moctail. Definitely visit this place if you are ever in Cleveland.

This place is absolutely amazing. The food was outstanding. We loved everything we ordered. I had flowers sent ahead of time, and the restaurant had them set up and ready for us when we arrived. The food was cooked to perfection, and the staff was very professional and accommodating to our every need. I would highly recommend this place if you're looking for a nice meal or a very nice date night. I'm pretty sure our waitress was Melissa, but for some reason, I'm thinking Jennifer for some reason. I am so sorry to have forgotten your name, and when I remember, I will edit this post and make sure I have it right. Either way, she went above and beyond her call of duty to ensure us a great experience. She even took some pictures for us. Thank the whole staff for such a great time and meal.

Jason is a phenomenal server who makes sure your experience is top notch! He is absolutely phenomenal and made sure my friend and I were very well taken care of. The food is fantastic and did not disappoint! Highly recommend if you are in the Cleveland area!!!!

Sam from Blue Point is an incredible person and manager, she went above and beyond for my wife and I for our Valentine’s Day dinner! She managed to get us a wonder table for us and treated us like VIP’s, we haven’t received treatment like this from any manager/restaurant. She sets the bar extremely high in professionalism and hospitality! It is so hard to find a manager like her in the restaurant Industry and we’re so grateful for her. Blue Point was phenomenal, the food, service and atmosphere was a 10/10 we will forever be patrons of Blue Point after our Dining experience, if you’re celebrating anything or just in the area you must give blue point a chance!

My wife and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary at the Blue Point Grille Saturday night. I decided to go there again, we dined there for our 35th. This place doesn't disappoint, nice table, great server (Evelyn) who described the menu perfectly. We started with Oysters, creamy, briny delicious, we gulped those down and moved on to the entrees. Deb had the lobster bisque smooth and satisfying, I opted to start with the clam chowder, plenty of clams and potatoes with a delicious creamy broth. Deb decided on the shrimp and scallops with a great lemon verblanc I went with the scallops over swiss chard with panchetta and citrus segments, melted in my mouth! Evelyn brought out a delicious creme brulee with a candle and we cracked it open and devoured it. Being stuffed we opted for the New York Cheesecake to go, another home run. This is an upscale establishment that asks for business casual dress. You will NOT be disappointed when you reserve a table at BLUE POINT GRILLE.

Went to this restaurant for my boyfriend’s birthday celebration. Even tho the food was good, the service was sort of disappointing. They made us wait 40mins even after our reservation. And the person who was serving us didn’t really check on us a single time before our meal was finished. It was a different server who actually gave us the check. The atmosphere was great even tho we couldn’t sit down where we really wanted to but can’t complain about the table. The food was a solid 9/10. Big portion, good taste, nice plating. I think the manager was roaming around the restaurant to see if everything was okay but I genuinely think the servers can be better considering this restaurant is an upscale place and it’s kind of expensive too. Another thing to mention even tho they asked in the beginning if we are celebrating anything and we told them yes it’s a birthday they actually didn’t do anything special for that and i think it’s the server’s fault and not the restaurant’s. Because the server of the table in front us brought a dessert with a candle to the people in that table. Good thing is the server who brought us the check was kind enough to mention before giving the check that 20% service fee is already added to the check. Overall good experience but it could have been better. Recommend this place.

Excellent service and food! I arrived within the last 1.5 hour of their business day and I was not rushed at all and treated with equal respect as other customers. Would highly recommend and would definitely come back again!

Google
Freshest seafood in Cleveland, argue with a wall. Grand seafood tower was extremely fresh, as well as the Salmon. Service is always top tier and despite it being a full house, food was out in no time on a Friday evening. Also have to mention they went above and beyond to accommodate one of our guests allergies. Will always recommend!

Yelp
Service rocked well paced. Two tables of 6 each courtesy of my husband's firm for our annual partner wknd. Lobster bisque was fantastic. Shrimp and scallops sauted were good - 3 each and that was it. Rather lonely dish Would recommend getting a side dish which I did roasted fingerling potatoes. Soo good! Wine was awesome New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. Key lime tart split with my hubby. Really good. Location 0.2 of a mile from hotel. Corner location. Very beautiful in the inside ladies and men's room down the stairs by the hostess stand. Would def go back. ****** And we did go back. A second time. The next night! Thanks for another great dinner this time at the bar! Lobster bisque for two. Lobster deviled eggs. Cheesecake and Chocolate Flourless Cake with cocktails and wine!!******

Yelp
This feels like quintessential Cleveland dining. Very decent food with little innovation in the kitchen, bar, or space. It's not bad food, but it's not terribly good either. Every dish is so traditionally executed that it really seems to be focusing on the crowd of the past. The caesar salad is an everyday caesar salad. The crab cake is a good crab cake, and the oysters are good - but nothing on the apps menu stands out as a winner. Then for entrees I had a special sockeye salmon that was supposed to be great, I asked for it rare - it came out dry. Now was it the best salmon I've had in Cleveland, yes it was, but it still wasn't cooked as I would have liked it. The spot is good if you're going after work for a dinner - but if you're on a date, there's better places to go, some of them are even in Cleveland.

Yelp
Food, service and ambiance were good. If you like seafood, this is the spot for you. Yes it's pricy but worth it. This is the type of place that has it all for the perfect date night, birthday celebration or anniversary. Or, go just to go

It's been a few years. Luckily still very good. Oysters imperial, baked with crab and gruyer... carpaccio

Yelp
It was so fun ordering Blue Point Grille's largest seafood tower! Everyone in the dining section watched as we got our food and we were so excited! Our group of three only ate this and barely touched the bread it came with and could still barely finish the tower. The oysters here are one of the best and aren't fishy at all. The lobsters were huge (fyi doesn't come with warm butter but you can ask for it). I really appreciated that our server told us that tip was included which sometimes isn't always made obvious to you so that was very kind of her! I can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Blue Point remains a quintessential Cleveland dining experience. Food is excellent, service was spot-on. Portions were good size and served very hot. Pricing is fair for what you get. Be aware that a 20% service charge (the tip) is added to the bill. If I had one suggestion....been going here for well over ten years. The physical space, while nice, needs a new look or at least a big refresh. It remains one of The Land's best!

Yelp
Came here for Happy hour -- excellent deals and selection of items off the HH menu. We got lots of oysters, which were good but not the best or freshest I've had, but a great deal at HH. The mushroom gnocchi was ok, a bit dry but flavor was good. The steak tartare was excellent, as was the lobster risotto. The salmon cesear was a good portion size but wish the romaine had been cut up into smaller bitesize pieces. All in all, excellent deal for HH here (bar only), also seems like a nice upscale place to dine. Parking can be tricky in this area, hopefully there's some street parking available. There are lots nearby too but they tend to be pretty expensive. Staff was attentive and service was quite fast.

Yelp
Our table was ready a few minutes after our reservation time of 8pm. Place was packed and loud. Cocktail menu was small but creative and a plain margarita I had was also nice. Our server was amazing. I told her about my dietary restrictions and she bent over backwards to ensure my drinks were made accordingly. The blackened swordfish I had did harbor a fantastic Cajun lightly crispy coating of blackened spices but was overdone and the characteristic large swordfish flakes were replaced with a really crumbly almost dry fish. Disappointing but still flavorful. The Delmonico steak had a most fantastic crispy char around it and I am still drooling from th

Yelp
This was not our first time at Blue Point Grille. But it was a first for their Feast of Seven Fishes. We had seen a segment on it, on New Day Cleveland. The Feast of Seven Fishes surpassed our expectations. It was seven courses (you could choose to do only 3), of absolutely delicious seafood! They served raw oysters, a lovely cold calamari, shrimp and citrus dish, crab fritters over hummus, an expertly roasted piece of octopus, beautiful scallops, and a branzino with crisp green beans. They finished with 3 delightful Italian cookies. Everything was cooked to perfection. Blue Point Grille's service is amongst the best. So glad we went and I highly recommend them!

Yelp
Pics say it all and we are frequent flyers here are BPG! To Honor my Mother of Mothers, we dined here for the umpteenth time. To me, the service even surpasses the food and ambiance. You are never rushed and you always feel special. After some 25 yrs of being a patron, I feel like family... The ones they like.

Yelp
Not into the overpriced eatery scene, I like more atmosphere and enjoyment of others company, whether in my party or enjoying laughter at another table. Too stuffy for me and the food was good, and service was good.

Yelp
This place is wonderful! We came to celebrate a birthday. The staff are warm and friendly, the ambience is a unique combo of rustic and industrial. The lobster bisque and crudo was soooo good. My lobster and scallops were cooked to perfection! We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The complimentary creme brûlée was such a thoughtful gift and very yummy!

Yelp
I wish I could give this delightful restaurant more than 5 stars. From the time we arrived until we departed, the service was outstanding, the food unbelievably fresh and delicious. I had the grouper and my husband had a dish that provided an array of seafood. My husband loved the lobster mashed potatoes. I thoroughly enjoyed the spinach. Portions more very generous. While the tables were very close together, there was enough distance to have a private conversation. The wine list was very nice and offered quite the variety to compliment any menu choice.

Yelp
My wife and I visited for our anniversary dinner. We were not disappointed and we were happy to make the trip downtown. What can I say, everything was fantastic. The staff greeted us as we arrived and we proceeded to the bar for a nice aperitivo. My wife had a French 75 and I had a classic Negroni, fantastic cocktails! We chatted with people at the bar and then proceeded to our table. Well it's our anniversary and so of course we opened our meal with a nice French champagne. We chose the oysters Rockefeller, they were incredible and prepared perfectly. For our main course I chose the grouper, it was fresh and flavorful. My wife had the halibut and it included shrimp and mussels all in a delicious saffron sauce. She loved it! For dessert they gave us a nice crème brûlée. We ordered 2 espressos to close our stomachs. What a fantastic meal! Please note that a 20% gratuity is automatically added to your tab. I am fine with this as the staff was incredibly professional. Our server Abby was fantastic. Friendly and unobtrusive she provided excellent service. She is a great ambassador for the restaurant.

Yelp
In town for a meetup with old friends from Chicago. They are originally from Cleveland, so I am leaning on their knowledge of the area and we popped in here yesterday for their happy hour. Kailee was at the bar, very busy but took time out to acknowledge us and make sure we were set up. I'm bummed I didn't get the name of the other person at the bar, he was also quite good at making sure nobody was left wanting anything. This spot is truly a gem. We should've eaten more, but we stacked up on oysters which were $2 per/6 and had some wine with them. They offered fresh bread and butter, with all the accoutrements that you'd expect with raw oysters. I was jealous of the couple sitting next to us, the Caesar looked amazing and the lobster risotto looked crazy good. I was FOMO big time! I'm definitely going to come back here this weekend and get stuff I missed out on. The people eating in the dining room looked super happy about their choices and the seafood tower and lobster bisque looked so delicious! Support small business owners!

Yelp
Really enjoyed the ambience of this restaurant. Would be nice for a celebration or a date night. Food was delicious. Our service was not enjoyable. Our server was very melancholy and spoke in a mumble, soft voice. We couldn't hear anything he was saying.

Yelp
The food was just okay, the crab cakes were just okay, over cooked and didn't have much crab meat in them. The sword fish was salty beyond words. The salad was okay. The service was okay, the restaurant was really nice inside. The highlight of this dinner was the dessert. The cheesecake was good. The key lime pie was awesome and crème brûlée, was pretty good. I heard so much about this restaurant and wanted to try it with some friends and the food just wasn't good . It was just okay. For the price I just expected much more. But I guess .

Yelp
Blue Pointe Grill was a nice restaurant my coworker and I stopped into after a work meeting because we were excited to try their happy hour menu. The happy hour is only served at the bar/bar area, and we were lucky enough to get a table in the corner. The happy hour menu was plentiful and we ended up getting a mix of items off the happy hour and normal menus. Between us we got the mussels, scallops, tuna tartare, Titanic wedge (with crab meat added), brussels sprouts, szechuan green beans, and lobster mashed potatoes. Overall the food was good and flavorful, no complaints. The only dish that was a little lackluster was the lobster mashed potatoes, which had very little lobster in it. We left feeling full and glad we stopped by, though we may not keep it high on our list based on the price. We were not completely blown away with the food for what we paid.

Yelp
First off, this place is so gorgeous. The architecture and design were truly stunning. The service was also amazing. They had a vegetarian menu that included a singular vegan option. I got that option which was a fried tofu and roasted cauliflower over a cashew sauce. It was one of the best things I've eaten. So flavorful and healthy! I would return back in a heartbeat if I'm ever in Cleveland again!

Yelp
Came to town for a milestone anniversary celebration. Great service and ambiance. A couple of our dishes came out cool, not hot. We sent them back, and they came out with respectable heat. However, the gnocchi was still not up to standards - it was gummy.

Yelp
Went for happy hour and the deals were great! The lobster risotto was tasty and so were the mussels. The restaurant is decked out in Christmas decorations that are very cool.

Yelp
We came to Blue Pointe Grille for their happy hour, which is on 3-6pm Mondays through Fridays and 4-8pm on Sundays. Their happy hour is bar only. Coming at 5:15 pm, we were able to find the last 2 seats. The burger was $12 and we were amazed by how steaming hot the inside of the burger is. For a restaurant specializing in seafood we actually liked the burger. The HH drink menu is pretty limited - currently they are offering 4 cocktail drinks: martini, manhattan, negroni, or bellini for $7. They also have red or white wines for $7-9. I got the Negroni which was alright but not the best as it was pretty watered down. Service at the bar is very attentive. We have also come for dinner before which is amazing. Sitting upstairs has a unique ambiance away from the main dining room but the service is slower.

Yelp
First off..it's pricey so know that going in. The architecture is beautiful. I'm a novice and couldn't tell you what terns are...but it's really striking. The service was excellent. Jason our waiter was top notch. The front of house guy handled an order with my peanut allergy. On to the food. The lobster bisque was amazing. Thick..rich..just awesome. The Brussel sprouts were nicely charred..meaty and flavorful. My wife had a fish special...I believe Branzino? She loved it. I had the lobster bolognese. It was excellent. The pasta...the sauce..the lobster bits. I loved it. We're in town for a conference. If Blue Point was in Atlanta it would be regular. Thank you for a great night and great food. BTW my wife had a drink..I forgot the name...she loved that too!!

Trent B.

Yelp
Food and service were excellent but a little pricey. The lobster deviled eggs and seared ahi tuna were both delicious!

Yelp
Celebrating our wedding anniversary, have always wanted to try this restaurant, it exceeded my expectations. Food was very delicious, service was friendly and attentive. It's a beautiful space, really enjoyed the experience overall. Would recommend.

Yelp
We stumbled upon this gem in downtown Cleveland by accident. It was superb. High end ambiance with welcoming atmosphere. The food was excellent as well as the fine dining service.

Yelp
Loved the vibe , sat upstairs and it was a bit stuffy on a hot day but that's my only complaint. Service is impeccable and the food was top notch. I hope I am able to return.

Madelyn M.

Yelp
This place is hyped up and doesn't meet expectations! Overpriced in my opinion. Yes, the food is good, but definitely not the best I've eaten. The oysters are good (overpriced, but good). The service was good; not great. Our waitress was tending to a party of 8 and she "knew" at least one of the attendees. We were slighted. And this was disappointing as I was sure that the restaurant was aware of our 39th wedding anniversary! It was a bit noisy, but nothing like a rooftop bar on a Saturday night. Overall, a nice restaurant but I do not think that it's worth the price

Yelp
Blue Point Grille is one of my friend's favorite happy hour spots in the downtown Cleveland area since she's moved here for work. There is street parking nearby with meters that take quarters only. We put in enough for about an hour since this was just our first spot of the night. When we arrived at 5pm, the bar area was all full so we went back out to the hostess to get a table. Joe was our waiter, and he seemed like he was handling all of the tables by himself with stellar friendly service. Major props to Joe! We had a few rounds of Bella Bellinis (HH $7/each) and shared a few items from their happy hour menu. Blue Point Oysters (HH 6 for $10) - We ordered two dozens of these blue point oysters. They were well shucked and decent quality. I was disappointed there wasn't a better variety of oyster types but then not surprised since the place is called Blue Point Grille. Gulf Shrimp Cocktail (HH 4 for $10) - Really sizeable shrimps. Good to try. Steamed Mussels (HH $9) - A bit lacking in flavor for the both of us. These steamed mussels were steamed in white wine garlic broth, sofrito and lemon. Normally when I get this dish I am so addicted to the broth and can't stop eating it but I was a little underwhelmed. Lobster Risotto (HH $12) - By far the best dish of the night. So delicious and with a generous amount of lobster in perfectly cooked risotto with cheesy parmesan and some chives. Yummm! Highly recommended. Pricing was really fair. Great service. I feel like this is probably one of the best spots in Cleveland so I'll go ahead and give it a 5 stars. If this restaurant was located in OC/LA area with more competition, I would lean to 4 stars.

Yelp
Excellent seafood. Oysters on the half shell followed by Halibut and grilled shrimp. Highly recommended if you happen to be in Cleveland.
google avatar

Blanche K.

Yelp
This seafood restaurant is marketed as high end, I thought the food was well cooked- the lobster bisque with plenty of bites of lobster, the entree Blue point heaven with perfectly tender lobster tail, scallops and shrimp. Nothing was over cooked at all. However, the seasoning in all the dishes were heavy handed. The soup and entree were heavy- both overly rich with cream and so salty. The dessert- I couldn't eat more than a few bites due to how sweet it was even though I wanted to. For the price point of this restaurant, I would prefer to leave my meal not feeling so bleh. Overall, good technique in preparing the meals, great service, ands large portions, but need to relax a little on the salt, sugar, and cream.

Dell M.

Yelp
Everything was amazing, delish and exceeded all expectations. It was pricey but lived up to the high meal ticket. Cocktails were stiff but tasty. We would return and highly recommend for a special occasion or maybe a date night. Nice ambiance.

Yelp
Had a reservation for a Saturday night at 7 pm. Seated promptly in the upstairs area. I expected this to be a little higher end food and drink for the price and dress code. There was no wine list or bottle list provided. For $191 we had the calamari , kimchi brussel sprouts, seared halibut, and New Bedford scallops. 2 drinks. The scallops came with spatzel which took over the dish as filler. The calamari was good with the tomatoes sauce, the kimchi brussel sprouts were fine. But the pan seared halibut was HORRIBLE. It was fried out on the outside with a thick crust (not seared) and a horrible dry center. The sauce was cold. All in all just very lackluster.

Yelp
The ambiance of this restaurant is old school class and quite beautiful. High ceilings, big windows, and two stories to take in. Unfortunately the food and service fell very flat for me. I'll start with the food. The seafood (I had the grouper and my date had the swordfish) were very salty. I didn't care for the cream sauce served with the grouper either. The swordfish had more of a lemon butter which was a tad lighter, but still heavy. The crab Mac n cheese we ordered as a shareable side was awful! If you wouldn't have told me it was supposed to be Mac n cheese maybe I would have enjoyed it more. It had a ridiculous amount of thyme in it and tasted more like thanksgiving stuffing than crab Mac n cheese. The crab cake app was pretty decent. The best part of the meal was honestly the lobster bisque... that they threw down on our table to make up for the fact our food took over an hour to come out (to be honest, based on other tables receiving food- I think this was a server mistake). Which brings me to my next point... service... it was awful. And the worst part is that they charge 20% gratuity automatically to every bill- even if it's just two of you. So even though our server, forgot our food, insulted me, and acted so rude and indifferent, he made 20%! Talk about not having any motivation to provide a nice experience. The drinks were probably the worst part. I ordered a margarita and my date ordered a mule. Both I swear had no alcohol in them. Instead of complaining, I just asked for a shot of tequila whenever he had a chance. When he brought the "shot" by that I had planned to dump in my margarita, I noticed how cloudy it was. They had watered even the shot down with lime juice! It's like they don't want you to consume alcohol here. So overall I spent $25 on my margarita and couldn't even get a buzz. Seafood should be a light meal but we left there feeling overly stuffed and heavy because of the ridiculous amount of cream and salt in everything- which I feel doesn't demonstrate a place that knows how to prepare fish in a way that showcases its fresh and natural flavors. I definitely would not recommend this place to anyone for the price point it's at. I expect much more when paying that much. A beautiful place to take in downtown- but don't expect much from the food and definitely stick with the wine and avoid the cocktails!

Yelp
Wow is all I can say! Seafood is top notch in the CLE. We started with the lobster bisque, flavorful and smooth. Then we had an opener of scallops that melt in your mouth. Wife had Surf and Turf, lobster tail and filet. I had Nag's Head Grouper. Holy moly! Lisa was amazing the entire experience and even brought us some crème brûlée for our anniversary! Valet parking makes it easy, but there's literally a lot caddy corner to the restaurant. 10/10 will be back. Also have to mention their assortment of unique and delicious cocktails.
google avatar

Yelp
Made reservations for dinner before the Playhouse. Waitress was efficient and very friendly! We started with the ahi tuna tartare. It was good, but not sure I'm get in again. It just didn't jump out at me and I do order ahi tuna frequently. I was torn between the grouper and the filet Oscar. I decided on the surf and turf w the Oscar topping and it was amazing. Filet was cooked perfectly (med rare) and lobster was the perfect size to compliment my meal without being too much. My husband ordered the Nags Head Grouper and said it was everything bit of deliciousness that we had read about.

Yelp
Blue point Grille is a lovely restaurant for a special occasion. The service was impeccable, and the food was absolutely delicious, and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to celebrate. I had the Paradise Found and Paloma Italiano cocktails, and they were both incredibly delicious! The cocktails came out quickly from the bar. For food, we started with the steamed mussels. These were absolutely delicious and very savory. I do think the mussels themselves are on the smaller side, but the portion is very generous. They also provide complementary bread, in case the two pieces are not enough. I had the scallops for my main, and while I at first did not think the portions were that large, I actually found myself struggling to finish it. The scallops themselves are huge and juicy, and they're perfectly seared on both sides. I really enjoyed the pasta like thing that came with it, though I felt like the broccoli was an afterthought. I think they were steamed and not seasoned, but I did appreciate having some greens to go with my meal. My one critique, which is purely personal preference, was that I felt like the dish was overly sweet. I ended up asking for some lemon wedges and squeeze the lemon over the scallops, which helped cut through the sweetness. The blackened swordfish, on the other hand, was some of the best fish I've had in Cleveland. It was perfectly flaky, there was great depth of flavor, and I really wanted to eat the whole thing! Again, the sides don't feel particularly intricate, as the green beans and potatoes were nothing special. Overall, I had a wonderful time at Blue Point Grille. Their cocktails are not to be missed, and their seafood selection is excellent. I do wish the sides were not as plain, especially at this price point, but what can you do. The service was excellent from everyone we interacted with, from the hostess, to the waiters, etc.

Yelp
The decor is beautiful, couldn't ask for a better location, the service was impeccable, and the wine and food were very delish. I had the Filet Mignon Oscar with roasted potatoes and asparagus. The asparagus was cooked perfectly and the potatoes were great. The filet was cooked exactly how I asked and the crab was moist and fresh. I didn't care for the sauce on it, so next time I will get without the sauce. But other than that, perfection - highly recommend!

Yelp
Great place for a happy hour. The happy hour menu includes a cheaper sampling of small plates off of the menu and specially priced cocktails.

Yelp
This is a loud, tight place, with a great casual vibe and fantastic servers. The servers alone get 5 stars. And I mean everyone from the host, to the bartender and particularly the wait staff. They just know how to make it a wonderful experience with that little bit extra that makes you feel special. Food does not disappoint. Fish cooked perfectly is a challenge, but this kitchen cranks out perfectly cooked fish all night long. Swordfish ordered blackened is a superb and hearty dish. The halibut was delightfully paired with the best saffron curry sauce I've had. Excellent dish. The cornmeal gnocchi, a swing and a miss though. But the delicious meal made the forgettable dish easily forgotten. But to elevate a good meal to an excellent dining experience requires well paired wine. Which requires a decent wine list. This place has one of the worst wine lists of any seafood restaurant I have ever visited. The red wines are just ok, but they have no white wines robust enough to stand up to a hearty dish. They have a long list of summer patio pounders (Sav blanc) and a bunch of Chardonnay. Even their French whites run on the fruity side Not a single interesting white wine. If I'm going to spend a decent amount on a meal, you should have a decent wine to sell me. Server told me they used to have better wines but those days are long gone. I know whoever decided to stock Weller Full Proof and Wm. Larue Weller knows their wine. So hopefully they will add at least an Arneis and an Albariño to the wine list. But for the wine list, this place deserves 5 stars. You cut corners selling unimpressive wines that interferes with the dining experience, you get 3 stars

Yelp
Used to love this place years ago but my last couple visits were so poor I don't think I'll be back. I came in with my wife a couple of days ago and had asked to see the GM or to see if there was a time I can come talk with her about an event I was hoping to host there. I was told by an older blonde haired host that the GM does not work during the open hours!! How is this even possible. They were either not being honest or they actual have a gm that doesn't work at or is involved with the restaurant. A decade of coming here and had several events here, this is just unheard of. Sad

You can never go wrong with Blue Point, whether it's lunch, happy hour, appetizers before a show or dinner with friends, Tonight we opted for dinner and drinks before heading to a show, just the girls and a bottle of wine. Appetizers, warm bread and wine. Ordering the lobster bisque is always my first choice, it's consistent and full of flavor. The scallops and lobster tail we were so fresh they just melt in your mouth. My sister-in-law had the fillet and well as usual, it was cooked perfectly. To end the night you have to get the crème brûlée, hands down after 20-odd years it's still the best in town. My review doesn't do Blue Point justice. The service is impeccable, the staff is knowledgeable and ready to make your dining experience top notch. The seafood is fresh, if you order from the raw bar or get a signature steak you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Sadly I was extremely disappointed. Beautiful restaurant yet both food and presentation and taste were UNACCEPTABLE. Ordered their tuna tartar only to have the tuna destroyed by SO MANY SPiCES it completely ruined any chance for the tuna to survive. It was sent back .. ordered a side a lobster mash .. you mean lobster taste . Extremely salty.. also ordered surf and turf it was ok .. now the BREAD was delicious .. go figure .. we had a server who I think had a masters degree and felt far more accomplished and should not be a server .. when simply directed the query of was the tuna removed from the bill her answer was obnoxious .. sorry for her . We all have choices . See my photos ..

Yelp
We had a special dinner to celebrate our 40th anniversary. We arrived early for happy hour and had drinks and the mussels. Both were good. We moved over to the dining room for dinner and was seated at a great table with a nice view out the front windows. Dinner was great !! we ordered the Ahi tuna and the fillet with blue crab and a side of Brussels sprouts. The food rocked .. our only complaint was there was too much food to eat . thanks to Pete our server for taking care of us .. we will be back soon .

Yelp
I love Blue Point Grille! It's one of the best restaurants I've been to in Cleveland. I have to force myself to try other places and not just come back here every time because it's that good! I've been for both dinner and happy hour - both fabulous experiences. It's an upscale, yet comfortable atmosphere. The staff is very professional and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. They're also very attentive, without being too much. The menu is absolutely delicious. It's so hard to choose what to get! The scallops appetizer is a must. As for entrees, both the grilled swordfish and nags head grouper were outstanding. Cooked to perfection! BP also has - hands down - the best happy hour I've been to in the city so far. The prices are great for high quality food and generous portion sizes. The cocktails are also delicious. I can't recommend BP enough for quality service and fresh, flavorful food. Whether you're celebrating a birthday or anniversary... looking for a fun night out with friends... date night... or even a business dinner - this place won't disappoint! It hasn't disappointed me yet, at least.

Yelp
I'll give this place some high ratings, for overall experience and quality of food. And I'll imagine, this is (one), if not (the top) dining place in Cleveland, from a cost standpoint. Let's get to a few thoughts; that's what you're looking for, right?!!: - Lobster Bisque. I've had quite a few in my lifetime; I give this one high marks. Maybe I got the lucky bowl this night, but this bowl contained the most/biggest lobster chunks. The bisque was well seasoned, with a smooth cream finish. An excellent representation of lobster bisque. - Wedge Salad. I'm always a fan of a cold wedge salad upon gracing the table. Salad was cool...but not the crisp-cold salad when presented to the table. A quality bacon, blue cheese and mild red onion....still had this salad being very good. - Filet. Higher end quality steaks are served here. Seasoned good...(not) the best I've had by any means. A very good cook on the steaks (this) night. Overall, very good and I didn't feel gypped at all. - Lobster Tail. Literally....this is a "tail of two stories"! Lol. My sons was excellent, tender and had the perfect kind of cut/bite you'd desire. Mine however, had that certain tough-string and much tougher chew. It's from the sea and not some prefect science (in seeing the tail composition). So, I don't complain about this aspect. - Green Beans!! Now, these green beans and how they prepared - uhm - awesome! Quite flavorful and unusual to find such prepared taste. My suggestion: get another side order for the table. People will want to try...(if not); just want more of these green bean delights! Assuming budget isn't a concern - and assuming you can get in to this - you'll find it to be an overall great experience.

Yelp
Fabulous place! Right downtown in the Warehouse District, Cleveland. We had oysters, scallops, lobster bisque, crab cakes, and beet salad. All were absolutely delicious. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, gave us wine selections, and answered all our questions. The place was beautifully decorated for the holidays. My only complaint was at the end of the meal, upon delivery of the check, he informed us of a 20% surcharge. We found out later it was including the tip. So not as bad as we had anticipated. Definitely worth a visit.

Yelp
Lobster bisque was very tasty and service was very good. They offered a free creme brûlée for our special occasion, which was a nice touch. Sadly our main entrees left a lot to be desired. The surf and turf was almost inedible. Steak was cooked as specified, but had no flavor other than char. The lobster was extremely chewy and gray in color. The salmon was cooked nicely, but overly salted and needed acid. The lobster risotto was heavy and didn't have the velvety texture I wanted. On a positive note, the prices were very reasonable.
