"This recently renovated watering hole in Soho is a classic pub, a modern cocktail bar, and tiny restaurant, all in one. Downstairs, you can grab a craft microbrew or cider with other locals sipping pints after work. Upstairs, you’ll find The Mulwray for mixed drinks and wine, while in the basement, there’s an eleven-seat kitchen bar, Evelyn’s Table. This means you can eat lunch, have an afternoon pint, grab dinner and a late-night cocktail without having to leave the building. The bar snacks at the Blue Post is maybe our favorite thing about the place. Peanuts dusted in harissa, a fried fish sandwich, and the most perfect bar snack of all: the sausage roll."

This recently refurbished pub is quite delightful. A small ground floor bar with external seating and a nice upstairs bar. They had three cask beers and a limited whisky selection, I opted for a double Buffalo Trace bourbon at £11.40, about what I would expect to pay in this area. They do sell food. I was here on a hot Tuesday at 4pm and it was quite busy. The pub, although lacking air-conditioning was quite cool. The service was good. There are several pubs in this no vehicle street, this is one of the best.

Good pub with a decent choice of beers. Didn’t eat here so cannot comment on a food offering. The pub was busy, but the staff were pretty efficient in serving. Limited outdoor seating available but don’t expect this to be free at peaks times as it’s a very popular boozer.

Great place to have a meal with family. Upstairs is nice quiet room with not many tables so it’s not crowded. Weronika was very helpful and nice so made the all experience feel even better.

Had a fantastic Sunday lunch, I mean just look at the pictures! We both had the beef roast, the beef was quite nice, and shared a Scotch egg to start with and a peach melba tatin as dessert. Everything had a unique, subtle but noticeable twist on flavour: Scotch eggs came with a piccalilli, the roast had a beautiful sweet red cabbage side, the tiny touch of mustard (I think) worked so well in the cauliflower cheese, and to make a peach melba to a tarte tatin is just such a brilliant idea! Service was superb, and all the team was very attentive & helpful, and seemed quite happy. We love the new look!

Mario and Orlian provided excellent service and were extremely attentive throughout my meal. Exceeded my expectations in service alongside absolutely top tier food. Will definitely come again.

We had an incredible experience thanks to Liga! We dined in the upstairs area, which was wonderfully cozy and beautifully decorated for the holidays, creating the perfect festive atmosphere. Liga's service was exceptional—she was attentive, friendly, and truly made us feel well taken care of. The beer selection was also impressive, offering a great variety to complement the meal. Highly recommend this spot for both the ambiance and top-notch service!

So, having visited previously and enjoyed a fantastic meal we returned hoping for the same. We are sorry to say, we were so disappointed on this visit. The food was not great.. The Blue Post can be found within the Carnaby Street area, a bustling location. Upon entering the downstairs appears small, however there is a cozy seating area upstairs with another bar. The toilets are also upstairs to the left of the bar. (These were not as clean as before) The menu is quite varied and they have pub classics including; Sirloin Steak, Chicken Kiev, Pork Belly, Mac & Cheese along with Fish & Chips. We ordered a Vintage Cheddar & Bacon Burger and a Chicken Kiev meal: - The beef burger was lumpy, full of gristle, very unpleasant and one of the worst burgers I've had in a long time. The Bacon was crispy (how I like it) but unfortunately there was so little of it, barely a rasher. - The Kiev, well we expected a lovely Chicken breast oozing with garlic butter or the like with a breadcrumb coating.. however, the coated chicken was more like butterfly chicken; not at all what we expected; not juicy nor tender. The service was good, when we pointed out our concerns regarding the burger we were offered a drink which we declined. It is such a shame that this did not meet our expectations, we had decided to eat here based on our previous visit.

A little gem! My family and I stumbled upon this pub the other day after a visit to Liberty London. One of our children is a vegetarian, and the other has several food allergies, so finding restaurants that can accommodate us isn’t always easy. My allergy child had a duck leg that he said was one of the best things he had ever eaten, and my vegetarian devoured her veggie burger. My husband and I also enjoyed delicious lunches. We were unfamiliar with most of the beers on tap, but the woman at the bar must have a sixth sense. She handed me a taste with a little nod, and it was exactly what I wanted. The decor was charming, the atmosphere friendly and cozy. We are American, so we don’t get to London often, but we will definitely be returning next time we visit!

Yelp
Very disappointing. "Medium" stake was cooked beyond well done and was covered in a ridiculous amount of salt. Fish and chips is very shaky. Would avoid.

Yelp
I'm not sure if it is me, or if it is the English, but the bar staff really didn't seem to want to have a conversation here, despite the fact that the pub wasn't hugely packed. Okay, there wasn't a huge number of tables available, but it wasn't bursting at the seams, as was the case with other pubs that I had visited at other times (even though it was afterwork on a Wednesday). This pub was okay, and even had an outdoor area (though like most English pubs the outdoor area is predominantly for smokers as opposed to an outdoor dining culture). Like a lot of other pubs in the area it has the standard beers on tap, and I certainly wouldn't call it a craft beer bar. It was okay, but nothing all that spectacular, and like many of the other pubs that I had visited in my time in London,

Yelp
Decent traditional British pub just behind Carnaby Street, ideal for a drink pre eating at one of the many restaurants in the area. There is a small lounge upstairs with seating and tables. Nice friendly staff should ensure that pub's survival.

Yelp
Waiting for a table at a local restaurant and stopped in this traditional Pub for a pint . Got educated on the difference between cider, IPA and a Snake Bite (Cider, beer and cranberry).

Yelp
Good location but no impressed with the food. I guess this place is good just for drinks

Yelp
Came here for my first dinner in London and got the big fish and chips and a meat pie with a couple of pints. Loved the fish and chips, not really a fan of the pie but that's just my personal preference. Really great bar staff- super friendly!

Yelp
Blue Posts provided once again what I look for in a British pub; a great bone marrow pie and a fine cask ale. Indoor seating is somewhat limited, but the additional outdoor area makes up for it. Service was very friendly, and if I hadn't gone with the delicious bone marrow pie, there were many more options on the menu - honestly it was a much larger menu than other pubs I've been too.

Yelp
There are two scenarios for my best enjoyment of the Blue Posts: 1) it is horrid weather outside, but not too busy inside. 2) it is nice enough weather to drink outside Basically it is a small bar; it always feels tight and crammed, so if standing outside is not an option for you, be sure to claim a spot away from the bar. This isn't easy as almost everywhere is near the bar. The upstairs eating area is almost always closed off for private events on a Friday night, too. However, I find that due to the size, many groups go elsewhere - meaning a handful of you may be lucky enough to get a table or space beside the open fireplace. I love the fireplace in the winter, it makes you feel cosy whilst you enjoy the mulled wine (also favourable). Generally it is the cosy feel that I like about this place; that and a good selection of beers and bottle ciders. It is a good atmosphere inside due to the cosiness, and is in a great location between Carnaby Street and Regent Street. As I mentioned, many other places are larger and thus attract bigger, more boisterous crowds, hence I find the Blue Posts simply warming and charming when we do fit inside. Standing outside is fine too, as there is enough space on the street, so long as it is warm enough and you are able to get back to the bar inside. Cosy, friendly pub popular after work with a few of us. Hooray!

Yelp
Popped into here for lunch before a meeting and wasnt expecting much to be honest but very pleasantly surprised! Lovely menu and good quality food. Pulled pork wrap snd sweet potato fries were really good sized and quality tasting. £8.45 as well for sandwich fries and drink which is really good value for london. Highly recommended!

Yelp
"Buy One Get One Free, But The Bartender Doesn't Know It" Nice little place to stop into for a drink. We saw the 'buy one get one free' sign outside so we thought we'd give it a whirl. We stepped up to the bar and mentioned the deal. The bartender looked puzzled and said he didn't know what we were talking about. We said it's on the sign outside. More puzzled looks from him. Some discussion ensued about what we could possibly mean, and then we saw the sign was posted directly behind him! We pointed to that sign, and then he said, "Oh! THAT special!" What, were we speaking Chinese? I don't know, but we eventually got served and had a fine time there.

Yelp
A nice enough 'old fashioned' pub. It's a sort of chain gastro-pub type of thing. I paid £5.50 for a large glass of Rioja - which was nice, but too much for my small purse. I certainly couldn't afford any more. The staff here are quite friendly. The Blue Posts attracts a lot of people due to its prime location in Soho - so it gets very busy, and as the inside is actually quite small, it can be very cramped and difficult to find a seat.

Yelp
The upside to this pub is actually the upstairs room (and the same can be said of the Rupert Street branch too). Everyone piles out onto the street when it's warm, leaving a massive swarm of drunken media types. And if you can squish past them, you'll find the entire upstairs empty. OK so it's not the most exciting of pubs, but if you want somewhere on a Friday for a big group where everyone can sit and chat, you'll do well here. Prosecco is £17 a bottle, so that's worth it if you're having a celebration. Not my first choice of pubs, but it'll do just fun on a busy evening.

Yelp
A bit expensive, very busy (on a Friday night) and lacking in atmosphere, I thought. Met friends for a drink before heading elsewhere and it served its purpose, but nothing to really encourage repeat visits. Watch out for the other 2/3 identically named pubs nearby though!

Yelp
I really enjoyed my meal at Blue Posts. I ordered the fish & chips and my sister ordered the cow pie. We weren't too sure what cow pie is but it definately tasted british. Really, we were looking for true british food and I think this pub suited our preferences quite well. The prices for food is reasonable for the area. Each dinner was aboout 10 Pounds and a bottle of cider about 5.50 Pounds. The atmosphere is great and the staff seemed friendly. Our server did seem new and unable to explain what a cow pie was but, figured it was a change. The fish & chips were quite good, not a lot of batter. I was full before I could finish but they don't have to go containers so had to finish it. Otherwise great little place that I would definately go to again.

Yelp
A nice little pub in the Carnaby area. Quick service and a decent amount of seating for a busy pub in this part of town. Plus, they have Christmas Rekorderlig and mulled wine for the holidays!

Yelp
rude. didnt take our food or drink orders for 20 minutes. we left but not sure if staff even noticed because they didnt notice we existed while we sat at 1 of 5 tables in their dining area. someone came around to collect menus and just said "excuse me" while she reached over my face to grab the menus.

Yelp
The pub itself was fine, but on the beautiful warm day we had, the outside tables were fantastic! The location near Carnaby Lane added atmosphere and good people watching but can add a touristy element as well.

Yelp
Wonderful place! A typical English pub. Excellent fish & chips and great service.

Yelp
Not bad at all. I had a pumpkin-based veggie burger, which was really good, as well as a Punk IPA from Brewdog. All good. No complaints.

Yelp
I literally ran inside of this place whilst trying to escape from the rain and it was a great place to have ran into! I was with my boyfriend and we thought we would make the best of the situation and settle down for some drinks. We shared the pulled sliders and they were delicious. It came with chips, pickles, and four sliders. The food was fantastic and the so was the price. The dips that came with the chips were sooooo tasty!!! It was a bit crowded but I assume everyone was just finding shelter from the rain as we did so I'll have to try it out on a regular day. The outside seating looked like it would be pleasant on a nicer day. We will definitely be back and with friends!

Yelp
this is the epitome of a old man's pub stuck in a very trendy area.it smelt like it too but that didn't put off 4 20 something females. we were here for a little while before heading up to the clubs.the staff were young and it was packed out, inside and out so im sure they were doing something right!i bought me and my mate strongbow and it was under a fiver so wasn't complaining!it was ok but wouldn't really be my choice of local!!!!
