Great service from NADIA tonight!! 1st visit and the wings in the Carolina Gold were tender & juicy with a fresh side salad w/ranch! The half rack ribs were really good too - meaty & falling off the bones! Will definitely return to try the brisket & half chicken!

The food was good. I ate the shredded pork salad and chicken wings. I got it with their Blue Ribbon BBQ sauce which was OK too. The half chicken was good too and the skin tasted good. Service was nice from Amanda. I'd recommend if you're looking for BBQ in the area.

Went there with a party of 9. The place was not very busy as there were only 10 people at 2 tables and 2 people at the bar.. Service was slow and took forever to get drinks. A couple of appetizers were ordered then we ordered our meals. About 20 minutes lapsed before the first meal came out. The meals were delivered one at a time over the course of about 40 minutes. The appetizers came out after about 4 meals had been served. Two people were finished before the last meal was served and I still had not received my meal. This was a little over an hour after we ordered so I cancelled my order! The opinions of the food quality from other members of the party varied from good to poor. We asked to speak to the manager and when he came over, he was very defensive and acted like he could care less. There was only 1 waitress there. She was friendly but definitely overwhelmed and disorganized. This group has been coming here since shortly after they opened several years ago. The service and food was very good then but not now. This group will not be coming back!

Stopped in for takeout, ordered the brisket and ribs combo with mac n cheese and fried okra. Overall okay. The ribs were a bit on the dry side, but the flavor was good. Same with the brisket, but they slice it very thin and coat it with sauce. Mac n cheese was SUPER creamy, but needed some seasoning. Will try again for sure, heard they have good chicken!

Ordered The Smoker sandwich and by the looks of my single strip of brisket the meat looked like it was reheated from the day before. The pork on the sandwich was moist but hardly tasted smoked. Kudos to our waitress though who did a phenomenal job at handling our large group. Can't say I'll never go back but I'm definitely not running back there anytime soon.

Had a great experience here last night with my family and friends. We ordered one of their combos and were pleasantly surprised with the flavor and portions that we received. Each combo is generously served with 2 sides, and we opted for the mac and cheese and fried okra. Both delicious in my opinion even through Okra is not typically something I would care to eat. Smoked BBQ chicken and brisket were flavorful, and the cornbread was so good that we ordered an additional portion before leaving. Location is great for those in the area especially near Norfolk Naval or even the ODU campus. Will be back in the future to try their burgers.

The ribs and pulled pork was legit! The cornbread was very good and the fries were fries. The sliced brisket was kind of cold which leads me to believe it was from yesterday's food only warmed up. The 1/2 chicken was just ok. The mac and cheese lacked any flavor and the noodles were over boiled. The biggest complaint was that there was no AC. Don't know if it was an isolated event but it was warm inside.

Tried this place for the first time. For my beverage I ordered a Bloody Mary with warm brisket in it. Amazingly good. I ordered the traditional burger with Mac and cheese. Burger was juicy and fresh and the Mac and cheese was the BEST I have ever had!! I would definitely recommend trying this place if you’re in the mood for BBQ. (The staff was also friendly, attentive and the food came out quick) I will definitely be back! 😊 Update: I returned and tried the brisket and pulled pork sandwich. Really delicious and would give another 5 star review! The brisket and Mac n cheese are the best! Service was quick and super friendly. A must try if you like BBQ. 😊
