Blue Room Comedy Club

The comedian was great, but the service was incredibly terrible. Never received items. I ordered waited 40 minutes for chips and cheese was told at the end of the service that I didn’t meet my two drink minimum even though I had ordered drinks at the bar they told me they didn’t count. I will never come back the manager. Daniell was very very rude.

I had bought 7 tickets for the girl's night out show on the 9th of October. That was supposed to be a Bachelorette party for me. The doors were supposed to open at 6:30. We headed that way and got a message at 5:50 saying it was canceled. They gave no reason just said it is canceled and they will reschedule. They don't answer their phones and their voice mail box was full. Apparently there are other people they have done this to with different shows. They never got their refund back. People has turned it in the ky3 on your side and the Better Business Bureau. I have to figure out how to get our money back. That was supposed to be a fun night for me but turned into just dinner and went home. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE... Don't buy tickets please. I don't want this to happen to anyone else.

The entertainers were good but the way the place is ran could use some improvement. Reserved seating only reserves an area of seating and not a specific seat. If the waiter drop water off at your table, it's not complimentary. It's $6/ small bottle. The entertainment price was reasonable and the staff helpful and attentive.

Should have 0 stars. Purchased tix for a comedian. Their check bounced so the comedian didn’t come as they weren’t going to pay her. Instead of putting this on socials and sending our communication to those who had purchased tix, they continued to sell tix for the 4 shows they knew were not going to happen. They just switched the tix in your portal to some random dude from bolivar. Not an even switch at all. If I hadn’t checked Liza’s page, I would have shown up and been pretty pissed. Pissed as it is that they refuse to communicate w even after the fact. Requested a refund with no answer. Credit card company was cool about it and refunded me but I will never support this place. Lying and not paying? Gross. I’ll drive to Kc for comedy rather than support this club under this owner.

My fiance and I just attended our first show at the Blue Room Comedy Club. It most definitely won't be our last! Had the most fun we've ever had. Like ever. Seriously. The atmosphere was perfect. It wasn't over crowded. The service was 5 star. Food was FIRE! And we laughed so hard our cheeks and abs hurt! We got to meet the comedians and get pictures and shirts. I'm already purchasing future tickets for later this year. I can't even give this as many stars or kind words that they deserve.

I've been able to see amazing comics here for the last few years. I'm giving a low rating because I've been trying to contact them for the last week for a refund and no one has yet to reach back out. When Katherine Blanford was supposed to perform, she rescheduled because of the storm and then didn't perform on her day and someone else had to, which was a great show. Then, I get tickets to see Erica Rhodes and she cancels, so I called to see if I could have a refund the morning of. I was told to email with my information and I will be able to receive a refund or be able to see another show of the same price. I've sent multiple emails, text message, calls, and still nothing. If that's how they want to run a business, then I'm out. I LOVE stand-up comedy, and the Blue Room has been my go-to, but this situation left a VERY bad taste in my mouth, and not that they would care, but I'm not going back. Very unprofessional, and I'm left very disappointed. On to the next!

Not very much parking close by, but the comedians were funny. Food was yummy, and the drinks were cold wait staff was very friendly and patient.

I Iove this club! It’s cozy room that is hosting great acts week after week. My wife and I travel to The Blue Room from Kansas City 3-4 times a year. Good food and drinks are served on site, and there is no shortage of restaurant, breweries and cocktail options in Springfield.

Went this past Friday and had a great time We always enjoy the comedy and get a bite to eat with our drinks This week it was exceptional We had nachos with chicken Leaving the show we saw the Q66 BBQ van out front Could that be the kicker? If so keep it up guys We will be back for more laughs and NACHOS!

Book tickets to Derrick Stroop. Show was canceled and was told I would get a refund never happened. I have repeatedly called and left messages and returned. Text messages to the phone number that messaged me and still no answer.

We still catch a show at the Blue Room once in a while. A great comedy club venue and great environment. Sure, some of comedians can be a bit hit and miss...but so what...that's comedy and it isn't easy to pull I perfectly every time. We're glad Springfield has this place around for entertainment.

Love this place, I really enjoy delicious food, tasty drinks and entertainment. This place has it all, it never disappoints. Their staff is always friendly and attentive. You are missing out if you've never been. You can see in advance what shows are available and purchase tickets on line.

Stay Away from this place. They are scammer and thief. They will cancel or postpone the show at the last minute and will not give you your refund. Literally they will steal your money.

I bought tickets a year ago to a show that was rescheduled four times with little notice. I was told they would give me a refund but I never received a refund. Nobody will reply to emails, texts, or phone calls. They are Impossible to get ahold of. They scam people out of their money by booking big names like Damon Wayons Jr but he never shows up and they don't refund your money. They lie and take your money. Other people have mentioned buying tickets but when they arrive someone else is performing instead of who they bought tickets for. I think this whole place is a scam and needs new management.

Saw Lavell Crawford, show was awesome but the service was terrible. Our waitress was incredibly rude with snarky comments and continually ignored us all night. It took her an hour to bring me my food and told me it was because food was served on a first come first basis, but my friend who ordered after me got his food within 10 minutes. Unfortunately I had to leave early and was forced to leave her a 20% tip, she did not deserve any tip.

We had so much fun. We cannot wait until another comedian I love comes through. They have great service, seating, and a great menu.

We went for Adam Corrolla....great show!! The guy who met us at the door was very nice and even held a parking space for us! We had parked around the block and walked but upon arrival, a car directly in front of club opened so he offered to hold it for us while my husband went and got the car! The service in bar area was great and very friendly bartenders....however the service inside is lacking, at least with our server. We were never tended to after our first beverageand food order. We ordered carnitas sliders. The meat was fine, but our bun was burnt black and basically inedible. We will go again, hopefully they get better with food!!!

The food was phenomenal, the service on the other hand was not the best. They had a packed house, and needed more servers. The experience was good though, I definitely recommend

Some great comedians come through here. Wish they had better food and wider selection of beer though.

The comedians are great! But you pay for a ticket to sit at one of the tiniest tables known to man, shared by 4 grown people. You have to buy 2 items minimum off the menu which is fine, although the menu is limited like an elementary school lunch but then they charge you $10 for a drink and you can't even have a free glass of water. They're definitely ripping people off. Ask for your receipt when you're done bc they will charge 20% gratuity if you don't specifically ASK to see your receipt. They will state that it is in their policy to do this which is written nowhere visible other than a small sign on their register in the bar.

Excellent venue with great seating and quick service. It was a great time, not a bad seat in the house.

Saw Kevin Farley (Chris Farley's older brother, funny as f&%k!) here last night. This place is spectacular! Smaller stage / bar up front, and larger classic stand-up stage / theatre in the rear. More of an intimate fell with the comedians. Love this place. Great staff. MC was very funny and presented well. Drinks where great, to boot! Will definitely be back!

I've enjoyed it here both in this location and the last. Food has improved. I always check out the comics on YouTube first to see if they are funny. The only time I've been disappointed was the one time I didn't. Join their "club" to get occasional free tickets.

Pretty hilarious for the most part. I know it's just a personal thing, but I can't give it 5 starts due to how liberal the comedians were. I wish there were more comedians who strayed away from politics.

Service was poor. According to the waitress who finally did wait on us, our actual waitress was overwhelmed and there was confusion as to who was supposed to be waiting on us. Food was mediocre. Double check your ticket to make sure you are charged what is actually on the menu and expect to see some mysterious "handling fee" on your food bill. Won't be back.

I am rating this a 1 star not due to entertainment, but for they club itself. Service is terrible. Food is terrible. The prices marked on the menu do not match what you are charged. I was told it was a tax which is total BS. Either the bartender is ripping off this club or you are gouging the prices and robbing the public. I read through other reviews, and others have has similar experience. This place needs a staff revamp. It's terrible that the entertainment coming here just doesn't match the venue.

Great comedy! Main act was awesome! Drink service was a little slow, but I think it was because they were short staffed.

The last show we saw was Godfrey and it was awesome. He and Artie Fuqua were great. The nachos were pretty good as was the pretzel bread and beer cheese. So, a 5 for the comedians (a 3 for the menu since some of the other items we've ordered in the past weren't very good. Too bad they couldn't bring the Billiards menu with them). But I give 5 stars because the most important part of the Blue Room IS the comedy! We go to the Blue Room every few months and always have a good time. The owner is always very gracious and makes you feel very welcome. Who'da thunk Springfield, MO would be able to get the caliber of comics that is does.

Unfortunately, this beautiful spot is ruined by horribly rude the owners are. They rarely have the kitchen open when they advertise that they have food. The multiple times I have gone and ordered food from their menu they have said that 4 or 5 things aren't available so then I end up only ordering water, and then they're rude about it. I also wasn't checked in which meant I paid extra for good seats, that I didn't get to sit in. I wouldn't recommend this place.

Came in with the Lady for a nice night out. Sat at the regular tables. Since there were only 2 of us we had to sit with another couple. At a very very tiny table. We had ordered food before entering and kind of wish we hadn't. The table holds 4 drinks easily.. 2-3 ten inch plates and your going to be clinking plates with your neighbor. We definitely will be looking int the VIP tables. More room and while not bad seats. The comics were well worth the price of admission. Some where not to our taste but the headliner flat killed it. While we will be selective about our headliner we will certainly be back. The Good Fairly big named headliners. Lots of laughs. The Bad Just 2? Table sharing time. Tiny Tables. The Ugly Nada we loved it and are fans.

This area needed something like this, they are doing great and getting awesome touring comedians. Glad the city got behind this and hope it is here to stay.

Blue Room defies my expectations on a number of levels. The seating and overall ambiance of the establishment is head and shoulders above what's suggested by its location and outward appearance; service for both food and drink is prompt and as non-interruptive as can reasonably be expected; and the quality of entertainment being brought in would not be out of place at a comedy club in a much larger city. I have a terrible sense of humor, so I consider any standup act that can elicit so much as a chuckle from me to be one of cosmic excellence. And while I wasn't exactly rolling in the floor at the show I attended, I definitely laughed more often and more genuinely than I thought I would. Coming from a soulless curmudgeon, I can hardly imagine a better endorsement than that.

Not a shabby way to spend an evening! Took my lady friend and my sister and we had some good laughs. It was a bit hot in the venue for my taste, but I'm warm blooded so that could have just been me. Drinks were affordable and the laughs were readily available. I would definitely go again.

Great place to hang out, drink, laugh, and get to know one another. Everyone I've met going to shows and shared a table with have been super cool and fun to share an experience with!

Comedians were great. Good atmosphere and layout. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Here is the email I sent to the club after visiting this place, they didn't find it important enough to even respond Unimpressed with the staff. Seems like you'd come up to my table and ask me to quiet down if I'm being louder than I should be. Not wait for me to go to the restroom and not let me back in my seat. Clearly I wasn't being unruly if I was offered a seat in the back. But I had purchased reserved seating in January so I should have been let back to my seat up front. When I politely said I'd sit there quietly, I was still not allowed to go back to my seat and when I did sit in the back quietly for a period of time, I asked again since I was being quiet if I could have my seat back but was denied. I'm really glad I drove 3 and a half hours to your club and spent all that money as a wedding gift to my brother and his fiancé to be treated like that. Will not be recommending this club to others at all. Simply put, I should have been told to stop being loud if I was being an issue instead of handling it the way they did. Very rude that I didn't even get a reply but what can I expect after how rude they were there after giving them about $400! Also, if you go to lowest ratings you can see the owner does not care about their customers as you read the responses he gives them.

Visited this theater for the first time to see Todd glass. He was boring and lame.. jokes were lame and. Scripted and he embarrassed my fiend big time. Not funny at all for how much I paid for the ticket. Have seen better stand up comedians in NYC...

We had a great time at the Blue room! The talent was hilarious, the food and drinks were cheap, and the staff was attentive. We will be back and bring our friends!

We love coming here for a date night out. The Comedy room is really fun and you're guaranteed a good laugh!

This is a gem of a comedy club !! We laughed all night from start to beginning !! I will be returning

My first experience was decent had more expensive table, dinner seating. Second show we had club seating. Waited til they called 5 minutes to show time so I walked out to the bar. Ordered Long Island for my wife and a Red Bull. $10.50, wife told me it was not right but she finished it. We finally got a server short dark completed girl, not to happy to be there ask "what do you need"since the first Long Island did not taste right we ordered a top shelf, menu states a double shot premium during at $9.50 she comes back and says $29 I paid it and won't be back, entertainment is great, but was raped for this drink, never again.

Such a wonderful lift of the spirit. From the amazing staff with their wonderful service to the nonstop laughter. The Blue Room Comedy club is a definite release of dopamine. The food is amazing and the drinks are priced right. I highly recommend date nights, friendly nights out, special occasions, and they even have VIP sections if you'd like to have your own space.

Had a great time watching Greg Warren. Drinks are affordable, service is really efficient without being intrusive, and seating options are good. Reserve tickets early and get there when doors open for best seating choices.

Doesn't look like anything major on the outside, but what any awesome business model! Good sized pool hall with a comedy club inside. Service in the comedy club was great and food was both affordable and delicious. Highly recommend!

Great place for local folks to see traveling comedians. They bring comics from LA and NY. Their customer service is second to none and they really take their time to bring great comedians. Tickets are very affordable and the comedians are typically universally funny. Give this place a shot. Chris will take good care of you.

I won tickets from a FB contest so first I have to say thank you for that. Chris, you were an excellent host. The waitress was very nice and our food arrived quickly. Burger was delish and the show was entertaining. Thank you for the laughs!

Thanks Blue Room Comedy Club for being one of my all time favorite venues that I've ever performed at. You're a perfect for place comedy. The audiences were great and the staff and everyone on the shows we're great! Beers n' Cheers!

the space is intimate and is actually shared with a fun room filled with pool tables and such. the tables are either high tops or regular and seat functionally. when the place catches on, the seats will become more comfy at the high tops. any decoration is simple and tasteful--a poster here, mini-lights on the blue tablecloths as a centerpiece--and do not distract from why you are there. you're not there to be cute and you're not there to be chi-chi. you are there to see comedy! the acts brought the laughs in varying degrees of intensity--sadly i have forgotten the names of the first acts. but they did what they had to do, which was get the stage warm for tim northern, the night's headliner. northern did a great show and kept everyone rocking with laughter. northern was quick to remind the audience that springfield is ripe for standup--and who knows? with time and good local comic talent to keep the heat, he might be right!

Great place and great owner. The room is a nice setting for comedy and has a billiards room and bar in the same venue. So before the laughs you can watch a game and just hang out. GREAT PLACE.
