Blue spot sushi

Went there at 11:15am on a Tuesday for lunch. They were not busy but 10 mins wait for sushi. ETA: Finally ordered via GrubHub and took an hour before I can pickup. The sushi is worst than my own homemade and I thought mine was bad. Too much rice. Rolled was horrible. Tiny pieces of fish. All for $19. I would not go back at all after this.

Hellooo!!! Visiting from miami beach for a short trip... We went to the french market to enjoy one of the best sushis in town if not THE BEST!!! Well you have to give it a try... It is simple, go to the french market and look for the freshest, tastier, and most elegant sushi in chicago area, blue spot sushi by Mr Agi, master chef. Professionalism, dedication, and passion are the main ingredients in his recipes. Thanks Agi for a great experience twice!!! Hope see ya soon!!!

Very accessible location nested within the French Market. The food is fresh and made to order. They have a good selection of vegetarian options as well. On the flip side of making things to order, it takes time to get your order. Plan accordingly. There are a few seats by their counter facing the chefs.

I ordered the shrimp sando which was very filling but delicious! It can get quite busy during lunch as it is in the French market but I got to watch the sushi chefs make every roll by hand while waiting so that was cool. There's like 5 bar seats at the stall so you can eat there but most people take it to go

Best ramen of my life! Quick stop at the French Market and got lucky to find Blue Spot open. Not too salty. Every bit of it was high quality and distinct. Could eat this every day. Great service as well.

Good sushi, not overpriced but takes a long time for a simple california rolls with hardly any other customers

Ordered for a work lunch drop, sushi was excellent. Very impressed.

So when my grandson wanted to try sushi for the first time, this was where we started. Why? You might ask, well it gave hime a wide variety to choose from considering his limited pallet. He got the Rainbow, which is salmon, tuna, and tilapia as California Rolls. Which he absolutely devoured. The have freshly made rolls and the price is reasonable for the portions.

I had high hopes for this place! I ordered the sushi salad bowl with salmon. My bowl was too sauce-y and only had a few pieces of salmon in it. Unfortunate for $20.

not worth the price. Instant ramen is way better than theirs. It was salty and the pork was just fat. Like seriously?

Blue Spot is one of my go-tos for lunch in the French Market. The sushi is always fresh and the burritos have generous portions. The only detractor is that it takes at least 10-15 mins to get your food, even if you order ahead.

Overview Safe bet sushi place in the French market. Would give it 5 stars but it takes time to get your order. Value - A+ My receipt is attached it was around $14 for a sushi burrito. Great price for the city. You can't customize the burrito like at other places but it's a great price Service - B+ It took a bit longer than I expected since there was no line and I arrived before the lunch crowd. My sense is that individuals don't have 15 minutes to wait for lunch. They do have some prepared rolls. Quality A The sushi burrito I got was good. It is a great safe bet lunch place to go to. You won't be disappointed. The ingredients seemed fresh and they clearly took pride in preparation. Try it out for lunch one day.

This restaurant is located at the Chicago French Market. They may be the few food vendors have chair for you instead of eating at the common area. The menu is very simple. You can have the sushi, ramen, udon. It is just like normal Japanese street food vendors. We got shrimp tempura udon and the Tonkutsu Ramen. The shrimp tempura was fried to crispy and tasty. The udon is nice. This is good bowl. It also come with two pieces of fish cake. The ramen base may need some work. It need to bone enriched broth. This ramen broth was not. The ramen may be sit for a moment. Some of the ramen initially stick together. The pork belly is average. But I like the porch egg. It is liquidity and very good. That may be the best thing about the ramen. The service is good.

One of the many food stalls inside the French market in the Metro Station. The shrimp sando caught my eye so I just had to order it. It come with a fried shrimp patty, a thick layer of tartar sauce that tasted like an egg salad and shredded cabbage between too soft buns. It was a very delicious but pricey sandwich costing about 15 with tax.

Solid sushi offerings in the bustling French Market. Limited seating but more than most places in the market. Selection has suffered from the current logistics isdues but normally thete are plenty of sashimi and roll options. Service is always friendly.

Had the spicy crab sushi burrito here and it was bomb.com. I will def come back to try their other rolls!!! Located in the French Market with plenty of indoor and also outdoor seating!

First time trying the sushi burrito and I must say it was amazing! It was everything I had hoped for and more. I love sushi so this definitely hit the spot.

Got a Godzilla roll from blue spot sushi for lunch! They have little seats in front of their counter which I thought they was cute if you want to grab a quick bite! I enjoyed the roll and will definitely go back when I have a sushi craving! I do think for a take out spot the prices are pretty high and competitive to a restaurant but their sushi was good!

For quick and affordable sushi, this place is pretty decent. I've been here a few times since it's located in the French Market, which is close to my workplace. There's a small spot for seating, which is nice if you're coming here to enjoy a bowl of ramen or udon. While it's probably better to ask them to make the food fresh, I usually resort to the preprepared grab-and-go items out of conveniency. Don't expect to come here for high-grade sushi obviously, but for just around $6-7 per regular roll, the price is pretty unbeatable, and the workers are all really friendly.

I go here almost every time i go downtown. Everything is made super fresh, the ramen is so well flavored, and the staff are so friendly. Their spicy miso ramen is the perfect amount of spice and they put so pork belly in it its incredible!!!! I love this place i wish they had their own restaurant!

Lovely spot in French Market - employee was very nice and helpful reminding me to grab napkins as I turned away and the sushi was very filling and fresh! Definitely more rice than fish, but it was good rice at least!

Had the beef yakisoba for lunch today. It was terrible. The beef was grisly, fatty and not all that flavorful. The portion was tiny, greasy and overall lacking flavor. I ordered through MealPal, had I paid the full freight of $10+ for the dish I probably would have returned it. The sushi looks o.k. but a bit pricey for pre-made sushi. Doubt I will be back.

I stopped by here to grab Godzilla Sushi from MealPal for lunch. The service is quick and sushi is surprisingly good!!! Would definitely recommend and will come back for more sushi!

I ordered a crunchy escolar roll and it hit the spot. Affordable and also I've been craving escolar for a while. Blue Spot Sushi is located in French Market, which is a neat food court with a variety of international cuisines!

Solid sushi at not-a-bad-price for the French Market. Had the salmon avocado roll which, at $6.99, is cheaper than Mariano's. It's definitely much fresher too, although I wouldn't say I was blown away. All told, it's a perfectly cromulent quick sushi option.

We've been looking to try sushi for some time now. We've only tried samples before and liked what we had tried. So today we finally tried sushi for real and we loved it!!! Melody was helpful giving us insight on the different kinds of sushi. We choose to go with the sushi shrimp burrito, salmon avocado roll and a veggie egg roll. All of the choices tasted amazing can't wait to try more kinds of sushi when we return.

This is my go to lunch place in the french market. I have been here numerous times and their sushi is always fresh and good. They have many choices of sushi rolls and fresh fish even bluefin tuna. Besides sushi, they have hot dishes such as teriyaki chicken, yakisoba, ramen soup and gyoza. One of my absolute favorite is the dragon roll. Their pricing is fair and the service is quick.

It was my first time here.I ordered the chef's special of the day. The sushi was fresh and very delicious.it was one of the best sushi i ever had.they have premade sushi as well for people to grab it if they are in a hurry. The price is affordable compared with the food quality.they have small seating area and serve noodles, teriyaki and ramen soup which looked good. i'll try it another day.

I did not get everything I ordered. The sushi was drenched in sauce making the fish taste like nothing except sauce. I got a flea sized portion of wasabi, which makes me ask why bother giving it at all. I called to ask for a refund on the two things I did not get and no one answered. I have eaten there in the past and it was good but I don't know that I would go back again after today

The sushi was fine. If there's no one in line, you can roll the dice. Flat out, they need more than two employees working at a time. I had terrible service and ended up waiting about 30 minutes after ordering for a roll. There's a lot of great choices in the French market, and most of them are fast.

We really wanted to like Blue Spot so I'm sorry to be writing this review. We had Blue Spot delivered yesterday and as soon as we opened the containers the smell of ammonia was overwhelming. Sushi should never smell like ammonia and when it does it is not fresh, rather rotting, and can make you quite sick, too. The entire order was trashed. Sushi should be about the fish and not fillers like cream cheese. I hope the owner/chefs will accept this review in the spirit it is given and take necessary steps to provide only the freshest fish and quality ingredients.

My lunch delivery was prepared beautifully - I love that they didn't slump on quality just because I wasn't in the restaurant! I got a dragon roll and not only was it aesthetically pleasing but tasted amazing! I'll be ordering again for sure
