A bit disappointed with this restaurant. Went there for Dine LA Week for dinner. We had high expectations with this restaurant as it’s in one of more prestigious hotel in Santa Monica. The service and foods were on the mediocre side. Upon our check-in, we waited awhile before we get service. During our dinner, we hardly see our waiter. The fire pit was working only partially and we were freezing to death. No friendly environment at all. Then came the food. I had their sea bass while my wife got their pasta main. The sea bass didn’t seemed to be that fresh at all. The flavor was not bad but the texture of the fish was not very appetizing. My wife seemed to enjoy her pasta. I had a bite of the pasta and the veges. The flavor was right on but the portion seemed to be on the stingy side. For the dessert, the restaurant didn’t seemed to put an effort in making them. They only have ready made baklava and ice cream, nothing special. I can buy those from any bakery outside. For a five star hotel, they should at least try to make special desserts to impress their patrons. For the Dine LA week menu of $55 per person plus $10 for parking, we didn’t really see the value in this meal. Not a good deal! The only saving grace was its view. You can get a spectacular sunset view here.

This definitely is a restaurant where you are paying for the ambiance and the kind service from the waiters. There were a few mistakes that occurred throughout the dinner but they were swiftly rectified and we were not charged for the mistakes. For the amount of money that we paid I would have expected a little bit more whether it be in quantity of food, quality of the food, or less in regards to the errors that occurred with our orders. I feel we overpaid in general and would only return if the cost went down despite how enjoyable the atmosphere would be be for an area to propose to a significant other. We paid a $150 for 2 people and did not even order any alcohol or desert.

I loved the ambiance and decor. I opted for a simple breakfast of a cappuccino and some Greek yogurt, hard to mess that up, but it was lovely. The server was very attentive and the overall experience was very pleasant. I would visit again to try some other items, and highly recommend if you're ever in the area.

Came here with a group for brunch on a rainy day - food and drinks were great (definitely better than we expected). Service was 100%! Our server, Chris, was awesome. :) We all enjoyed our time here.

Thursday morning breakfast. Good vibes due to the view. Service was good. I was surprised at how much food we got. Normally I expect barley enough food when you're dealing with a restaurant attached to a hotel where the prices are $$$, but I was definitely given enough food to get full. The waffle was really good. I'd suggest the waffle.

We stayed for one night in this hotel and in the next morning had a breakfast in dining on the 4th floor. The food is tasty, the interior is stylish, the service is wonderful! Crean nice restaurant with I highly recommend.

If you are looking for proper restaurant food, this place is good for you. Dishes doesn't look impressive, but taste very good and let you shift from streetfood. Service is very friendly.

Very nice restaurant overlooking at the Santa Monica pier and the beach. The food was very good and the service was great.

Yelp
5 star food and 2 star service. Three of us ate there and we all loved our food. I had the burger and it was delicious and perfectly cooked (many restaurants don't properly cook medium rare). Good beer selection too. The service was pretty much non existent. We had to go track our waitress down a couple of times. And it was not that busy, just one other table in our part of the restaurant. But the food is great.

Yelp
Wonderful food and ambiance, best thing is it's very private. I would recommend this for a date space or perhaps even an anniversary. Nearly every dish was fantastic, besides the lamb. Wine list was fairly robust, was able to find some rather rare California wines you won't find on many other lists.

Yelp
I came in for Sunday brunch with two friends. The hotel is beautiful and we couldn't help commenting that we wished we were staying there too, and the view was fantastic. We didn't have a reservation but got seated right away. We sat at one of the fire pit tables which was fun but the table is a little small and low (though we expected that since it was a fire pit after all). It was a hot day and there were no umbrellas or shade at our table, which was a little disappointing. As for the food, I can't say it was anything impressive. The avocado toast was just a regular piece of toast with guacamole on it and was a bit underwhelming for the price. The Nutella waffles were good, but barely had any Nutella. The mimosas were fantastic though. At one point the waiter accidentally spilled a mimosa on me. It happens, and he brought us two free mimosas, so I wasn't upset about it. Overall it was nice enough and had a great view, but the food and service were mediocre.

Yelp
Excellent customer service and the breakfast is absolutely delicious. Highly recommend for breakfast or brunch

Yelp
We celebrated the fourth of July starting with brunch at the Blue Streak restaurant at Lowe's Santa Monica hotel. We had a table pool side. I had an omelette packed with bacon, sausage and cheddar cheese. The toast was quality bread, all four pieces evenly toasted. It arrived warm. Service was sufficient. Our waiter was quite busy and came by periodically. Parking is validated for 3 hours and cost 13.00. the view is of the pier and beach. Very scenic. It was a fun adventure. Not sure if I would try it again.

Yelp
This is the ocean front restaurant at the Loews Hotel Santa Monica. It is wonderful! You have clear views between the palm trees of the Pacific Ocean and Santa Monica Pier which makes for beautiful sunsets. The prices are steep, but you're at a luxury hotel on the water, so accept it and go for the ambiance and great hospitality! We booked a fire pit table, which there are a handful so definitely request this if you can! The fire pits are surrounded by comfortable lounge chairs, about 5-6 people can fit around the pit. The menu ranges from hummus and calamari as apps to fresh fish or a burger for your main. They also have a s'mores package for $18 which is too cute!! Our server, Julio, was absolutely fantastic. He was friendly, attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and had a great energy that made our time more enjoyable.

Yelp
Amazing and delicious ! Came here with the family and the food was impeccable , the lamb shank , salmon and pastas were perfectly cooked. The crabcake and octopus were our favorite appetizer . Come here when your near Santa Monica !

Yelp
Great view in a very nice hotel right on the beach. We had the eggs Benedict and two eggs your way. Very good and loved the tomato salad that came with the eggs Benedict.

Jayne G.

Yelp
Small menu but everything is delicious. Service is great. Lovely view of the ocean. Park on the street as hotel parking is ridiculously expensive. Sit outside or in. Both are nice.

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic in every way! Brianna and the staff here are definitely 5 star. I celebrated my birthday dinner here and I loved it. Brianna was so accommodating in every possible way. We had a few requests and she didn't hesitate to fulfill them. The food is amazing and the variety it's great. From appetizers to the drink list, loved it all. The outside igloo was so fun and I definitely recommend it. It had space heaters, a fire pit and warm blankets. Valet is quick and the attendants are friendly and courteous. I highly recommend a dinner here and we will definitely come back for the view of the ocean, the amazing service and great food. Cheers!

Yelp
Great service!! They have heaters outdoor and even gave blankets when we we were cold! The food was delicious and the view was mesmerizing!! Definitely recommend!!

Yelp
I remember when this place was called Ocean and Vine Restaurant. The lunch and drinks was pretty good... Celebrated this place for my birthday.......

Yelp
For how overpriced this place is, it has limited options and the food is okay We got the burger with cumin aioli and squid ink pasta I really didn't like the flavor of the burger and ended up sharing the pasta there also seemed to only be like 2 servers who were extremely over booked For what's supposed to be a luxury dining experience, this just didn't meet the standards It was okay overall but definitely not worth it

Yelp
Grabbed a reservation for "Fire Pit Table." Beyond perfect for a night out - great social distancing, comfy and a much better vibe than sitting outside in a make-shift sidewalk or street restaurant. The food was delicious; fresh & healthy with a beautiful presentation and a fair value for a hotel restaurant (always a bit more expensive), the view, the private fire pit amenity, the UN-RUSHED lovely outdoor experience and a staff that cared about our experience, etc... ABSOLUTELY a fair dollar value. I can't recommend this hidden gem enough.

Jeremy Z.

Yelp
When you're dining in a hotel, you pay for it. . And that is true at blue streak, especially for dinner. I passed on the mixed drinks. For starters we tried the octopus, fried cauliflower and tomato soup. I am not a huge octopus fan in general, but it is well prepared with a creamy tomato sauce and marcona almonds. If you like octopus it is a good dish. Cauliflower was fine. Tomato soup was probably the best out of the three. For dinner most of us got hamburgers, which were cooked exactly how everybody asked. I got a side salad instead of fries. My only complaint on the food was the chicken seemed a bit skimpy for the price, and should come with a starch. It came with swiss chard. Waiter was nice, but additional service was a tad slow. The view from the restaurant is amazing. There are a bunch of meters across the street from the santa monica courthouse.

Keith D.

Yelp
Perfect service. All the food was delicious and very original. I recommend crispy octopus with draft beer. Even the salad was original and delicious. The fire pit added to a delightful ambience and the view of the Santa Monica pier made it especially entertaining.

Yelp
I havent eaten breakfast here. This review is for the dinner we had. The view, setting and service each deserve a full star. Couldnt be a better ambience than the view of the beach and sound of the waves while you sit in comfy chairs around a fire pit in the middle of your table. Ingenious. But the food was truly bad and insanely expensive for what amounted to a piece of chicken in an unpleasant sauce of canned beans. I had to ask for hot sauce to drown out the taste. My daughter's desert pastry was inedible. It's as if theyve used the cheapest ingredients and there is a factory instead of a kitchen back there. A complicated sounding menu did not translate to a good meal. If only the food matched everything else, youd have a 5 star experience. But a beautiful setting can only make up for so much.

Mike J.

Yelp
Great place for drinks. They will try to make what you want but won't always succeed. The could use a more varied cocktail menu. But don't worry, it will still be expensive. You're paying for the ambiance and it's kinda worth it. I had a very pleasant time. You'll end up going elsewhere for actual food though

Yelp
Stopped here while on vacation. Walked down here for breakfast twice in three days. I was asked if I had a preference for indoors or outdoors, and chose to be outdoors (great view of Santa Monica beach) both times. Was seated quickly. The breakfast burrito was excellent. Service was great, but maybe a bit slower on the second day -- granted it was also a busier day. Noticed that everyone I interacted with had a pleasant demeanor.
