"The bloody mary at this popular sushi spot is spiked with vodka that’s infused with onions, chiles, and herbs. Sriracha and ponzu add spice and savoriness to the tomato juice base, making this cocktail perfect for pairing with fresh sashimi and maki rolls." - Amy McCarthy

Google
Sushi so thin you can read the menu through it. Lovely atmosphere almost makes up for the poorly rolled maki and laughably thin sushi. The sushi portions are bigger at the grocery store premade sushi kiosk. There was rotten lettuce in my salad. I made the server aware and the salad remained on my bill. Ultimately the menu is very creative and does offer a wide variety of vegan options. The presentation is good. The cocktails are expertly crafted. Blu sushi locations are all held back by laughably skimpy fish portions and poor quality control of the ingredients. As mentioned above, the salad had rotten lettuce in it. I also ordered Uni, they put a lot of uni on the uni sushi. Unfortunately it was not very fresh and was not pleasant.

Love this place! My mom and I both enjoy their spicy edamame—it’s a must-try if you’re into bold flavors. I always order the Eden Roll and Cowgirl Roll, and they never disappoint. For an extra kick, I mix soy sauce with Sriracha—highly recommend! The vibe, service, and consistent quality make Blue Sushi Sake Grill one of my go-to spots.

From the moment we walked in, we knew we were in for a treat. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, but it was the service, food, and drinks that truly made this sushi spot stand out. Our waitress, Eunice, was an absolute gem—attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. She guided us through the menu with great recommendations and a genuine smile. The star behind the sushi bar, Chef Santiago, is nothing short of an artist. Every roll was crafted with precision and bursting with fresh, vibrant flavors. You can tell he takes immense pride in his work—from the classic nigiri to the more adventurous specialty rolls, everything was perfection. This place isn’t just a meal—it’s an experience. Can’t wait to come back for another round. Highly recommend!

RECOMMENDED FOR VEGETARIAN / VEGAN ! We had such a great time at Blue Sushi Sake Grill! I booked a table for 6 of us, all vegetarians, and we were really impressed with their vegan options. The menu had a lot to offer, and everything we tried was delicious. It was not only our first time at this restaurant, but also our first time trying sushi—and we absolutely loved it! I made the reservation through OpenTable and noted that we were celebrating a birthday. It seemed like the restaurant wasn’t aware of the occasion, or perhaps they don’t have a practice of acknowledging birthdays like some places do with a small dessert or gesture. Just something to keep in mind for anyone planning a special celebration—there might be a communication gap between OpenTable and the restaurant, or they may not offer birthday perks. That being said, it didn’t take away from our experience at all. The atmosphere was fun, the food was amazing, and we genuinely enjoyed every moment we spent there. Highly recommend! Thank you.

Delicious! Adrian was my server! Such a Doll! Very professional and friendly recommended the Lion sushi and the app was shishito peppers. He was quick and attentive. I like to be sat greeted a friendly face and then just refills. I’m a very simple easy one person customer he made my experience delicious friendly. It was my first time here. I definitely would recommend and I would definitely bring back my girlfriend’s. I told him I was craving raw salmon and some crab and his recommendation was perfect. Thank you so much Adrian. Whoever hired him did a great job. He represents your restaurant very well.the restaurant was very clean and very cute. Music was perfect a quiet popular romantic tones. Everyone seemed happy from the host to the workers. Great environment! Food was fresh and delish

Google
Blue Sushi Sake Grill is an absolute delight! The restaurant boasts a very vibrant and lively atmosphere, perfect for a fun night out. The service is excellent—staff are attentive and make the dining experience smooth and enjoyable. The Japanese-inspired ambiance adds an authentic touch to the overall vibe. As for the food, the white tuna sashimi is a standout and an absolute must-try for sushi lovers. Highly recommended!

Great miso soup, the lettuce wraps were just ok, the thriller roll and red crunchy roll were the favorite rolls the we tried. The espresso mochi was the favorite out of the jazmine boba, match, and matcha!

This place has the best happy hour menu for sushi and cocktails. Take your friends and family! I always have a great experience when I dine here.

Yelp
Excellent service and the food is absolutely delicious. You have to try the charred edamame! Will be back for sure.

Yelp
Being a vegetarian has always made me feel that I could never do justice to Japanese cuisine which is predominantly consist of fish. : I heard from a friend about Blue Sushi Sake Grill and their vegan sushi menu and decided to give it a try! We went on a Sunday which had an all day long happy hour menu! We ordered the foll: Kaluna krispy rice cake Tuna tower Spicy kaluna crunch Bito Maki Avo Kaluna Cow girl Thai hippie Umami express and a few others! I loved all of them except the Tuna Tower that had a decided smell of raw fish that was a put off! Loved the roasted brussels sprouts served with a lemon curd sauce but it was a decidedly small serving to justify the quantity. Great great meal and we will def come back! Service was great and quick and the ambience was so beautiful and instagrammable! I love this place and will keep coming back

Yelp
Consistently good experience! I've visited Blue Sushi Sake during dinner and happy hour - sat at the sushi bar and a booth and they did not disappoint on food nor service. It's been a pretty chill environment both times. Good food where you can have a conversation is always a plus! Starters: We had the calamari and itchy salmon and itchy sea bass as starters. Highly recommend. Specialty Maki: I'll start by saying I love spicy food in general. Spanish Fly perfect balance of flavors with a kick from the serrano. I wanted to love the Spicy Gringo but the spice was overpowering and I couldn't enjoy the finish or other flavors. Love that they also offer happy hour that also includes some of my favorite rolls and bites! This neighborhood gem will definitely be in regular rotation!

Yelp
I wish I would've snagged more photos of the overall ambiance of the place. You can slightly see it by my soup picture, but I'll get better about it lol. I got a miso soup for an appetizer, and my goodness it was the best I've ever had in my life. For rolls, I got the Philadelphia Roll & substituted the cucumber for avocado (duh?) and the Hotel Cali. The flavor profile on the Hotel Cali was OUT OF THIS WORLD!! My waitress was super attentive, but not overbearing.

Liz C.

Yelp
First time here, the hostess wasn't too welcoming, asked if we had a reservation, which we did not. So she told us to sit at the bar.

Kenya W.

Yelp
The service was great even though the staff was overwhelmed for Valentine's Day. The sushi was absolutely amazing and the quality was fresh. The bartender has some serious skills behind the bar, and the drinks had a great balance that didn't have a watered down taste. The ambiance was nice, and the Godzilla themed backdrop was a great accessory to the restaurant. My compliments to the chef and the bartender.

Coleen R.

Yelp
They have vegan options!!! So excited to see a list of vegan options. The food was delicious and not to mention the drink. The server was nice...it was pretty busy so we had to wait a bit for our drinks. The place was nice. It has an outdoor patio, bar area and lots of seating! Great for patio weather!

Cassie K.

Yelp
The ambiance of this place is awesome, I can imagine it looks even better at night! Our server Nick was absolutely amazing and likely one of the best servers I've had in a restaurant probably ever. I received recommendations on drinks and food and Nick went above and beyond for my fiancé and I, which NEVER happens to us! The staff here is very nice and treated us well. Our food was even more amazing, probably some of the best sushi i've ever had. I got my usual, the philly roll, and tried the cabo roll - to. die. for. I am from McKinney and moved to Virginia 2.5 years ago, this was a last stop visit for us going back home and I was not disappointed one bit! Will definitely come back here the next time i'm here. It is clear that the reviews are true, this place is amazing!

Teresa L.

Yelp
All dishes were good, fresh and served timely. Consistent quality and service. Not the absolute best in Dallas but for the price it is. FYI, I have given up on getting the free edamame with a Yelp check in, it always gets charged.

Ashley M.

Yelp
I love this place! They have a pretty extensive menu with vegan options. The rolls, speciality nigiri and sashimi are creative and delicious! They have all day happy hour on Sunday with a good majority of their normal menu discounted. I'd say the only downside would be their cocktails. I've tried a variety of them and they all taste great, but they don't pack a punch. Keep that in mind if you prefer stronger drinks. Do yourself a favor and order the Lion King roll, Truffle Salmon sashimi, the Mango Crab Rangoon and the Coconut Breezy!

Katrina D.

Yelp
Not the best photos but I have to say- this was the best sushi I've had in Dallas and it was takeout. Was having a pregnancy sushi craving but not in the mood to go out so my husband picked up my order to go. There are tons of cooked options for the pregnant women craving sushi! I ordered miso soup, the thriller roll and the crunchy blue. Both rolls were so well balanced with the perfect amount of crunch. The miso soup was a little salty but I like it that way. Husband said the restaurant looked like it had good ambiance and saw a smoking sushi boat so we will be back in person! Great find.

Yelp
Love this place! There are a lot of reasons Blue Sushi is my go-to sushi restaurant, from the ample amount of parking to the spacious restaurant to the service, but what really stands out are the vegetarian options. Most sushi restaurants will offer a few rolls, typically avocado and/or cucumber or veggie. Here, they have an extensive vegan sushi menu with delicious and creative offerings. They offer "fake" seafood for customers who are looking for a substitute as well as regular rolls with vegetarian ingredients. My friends and family who aren't vegetarian also love this place! It is decorated well and they have a variety of seating. I HIGHLY recommend the shiitake to me or prince roll as well as the crispy brussels sprouts appetizer. They have great lunch deals and all-day happy hour on sundays. You can also get a free edamame order if you check in on Yelp. Overall, one of my favorite restaurants in Dallas and a great pick if you're a fan of sushi!

Kasha F.

Yelp
We visited Blue Sushi while visiting a friend in Dallas. She recommended it to us, and it did not disappoint! Every roll we tried was amazing! The service was fast, considering how much sushi we ordered. We enjoyed sake during our meal. It was a great experience & we can't wait to go back!

Sandra K.

Yelp
Was a little skeptical but I think a solid place for some casual sushi. Amazon roll - light tasting fish, balanced with the more tart sauce, recommend! Spanish fly - fish in the roll are more texture fishes so you kind of lose the uniqueness of each flavor when combined together, would recommend something else Shishito peppers - used a buttery sauce which was so good Also they gave some free desserts for our friend who we were celebrating - so sweet :)

Karen C.

Yelp
Always good food and ambiance ! Service is good as well. Their Happy Hour is great. Their Tuna Tower is my favorite!

Jessie C.

Yelp
I'm slightly mixed about this place, the food quality was there, decent price point, the seating area was clean- but the service was my only real concern. I really wish I could put this higher I got the strawberry daisy ($13) and for it being a more pricey cocktail- I was a little surprised it was all ice. I get it that cocktails come like that but both of mine was all ice and half way filled. I also asked for no salt on the rims but I guess they also forgot that. With the food- nothing wrong- it was all so good! The Spanish fly ($15.50) was a citrus spicy flavor and the salmon nigiri ($9) melts in your mouth. The fried ice cream ($10) isn't appealing looking but really good and HUGE. The service was so slow. I came in a party of 2 during a slow day (weds). Only 3 other people in the seating area- yet it took forever to flag down a waiter to EVEN order, and for 2 rolls and 2 pieces of nigiri it took 40 mins!! I was genuinely starving. I'm giving the business the benefit of the doubt with maybe it was low staffed and our waiter was a new hire since he didn't apologize/say anything on behalf of the kitchen. I will give it that this place has good food! but im slightly weary to try it again due to the extremely slow service.

D L.

Yelp
I have an admission to make. I don't eat seafood. BUT I like non-seafood sushi and Japanese cuisine in general. So I was thrilled when I saw their vegan sushi menu! I've tried several rolls, and they are all delicious. Shiitake to me is probably my favorite. Their tomago and inari are fine as well. You MUST try their lemon miso brussel sprouts. The brussel sprouts aren't burnt and the lemon miso sauce is amazing. I order it each time I dine here, and I still haven't gotten tired of it. The chicken wraps are tasty as well. My friend, who actually eats fish, says that their toro is very good and overall fish quality is fine too.

Konnori B.

Yelp
Had a lunch date with my coworker, so her and I visited Blue Sushi Sake Grill. We got there right at 12 and sat close to the entrance. It has a nice vibe, and the inside is pretty clean which is always nice! To start off, I got a coconut-based drink which was sweet and refreshing! We split the Brussels sprouts, itchy salmon, and the Everything-seasoned salmon (that was complimentary for my first visit here, and it was a generous act), and everything tasted fresh and was seasoned well! The Brussels sprouts were my personal favorite! I ordered 3 different rolls with 2 of them being vegan. The one with 5 pieces was not my favorite, but the one with the black vegan caviar on top was stellar! I would definitely order that one again! The middle one was also delicious, and I liked the honey wasabi on top! Not pictured, but I did order some shrimp fried rice and a shrimp tempura roll to go. The rice smelled and tasted very fishy, and it was not pleasant. The saving grace was adding enough soy sauce to cover the fishy taste (the smell remained, but that wasn't an issue since I ate it somewhat fast). This place has happy hour all day on Sundays, and I really don't think you can get quality sushi like this for under $9 per roll anywhere besides Hibiki or Zenna maybe. If you're a sushi lover, you need to visit at least once and see what this place is about! Our server, McKenna, served us and did an absolutely amazing job! I really hope y'all get her because she is one of the best servers in recent memory! I'm not being dramatic--she really is outstanding! If you're reading this, thank you again!!! Overall, this place has a lot of options to explore! I highly enjoyed my experience here and will definitely be returning in the future!

Yelp
Not too long ago, I almost gave up on Blue Sushi. Blue Sushi is one of the oldest restaurant tenants in Preston Hollow Village. Initially, after its opening, it offered sushi that was consistently fresh and appeared to be of a good grade. But then, something happened. the quality of the Nigiri and Sashimi selections seemed to take a nosedive. For me, Blue Sushi is a neighborhood joint that allowed a quick and easy way to get a sushi fix. But after a number of visits that consistently disappointed, I was ready to walk away, never to return, despite it's easy location from the ole homestead. I'm glad I didn't...because something happened where there was a sudden improvement in the quality of the fish. I'm one of those guys who doesn't stray too far from standard Nigiri and Sashimi selections such as Toro, Ikura, Maguro, Yellowtail, Tuna, Hirame, and Uni. And don't forget the basics such as Edamame and Miso Soup. I don't know what happened, but Blue Sushi upped their game, big time in the nick of time. No, Blue Sushi is not in the same league as a Nobu, Tei-An, Tatsu, and similar joints, but it's a solid player for times when you want quick and easy, but demand good quality. Here's keeping my fingers crossed that things stay that way.

Camila R.

Yelp
Service was pretty good a little slow, food and drinks were phenomenal (shout out to Kevin the bartender!). Overall pretty casual but great for drinks with friends. Price point $$

Idris A.

Yelp
Food was a little slow, but the service and ambiance were good. I'm not gonna ding them for that, just point it out. So many different options that you will have to come back and they are all good. From vegan to stuffed full of crab, you'll enjoy yourself and the vibes.

Moukthika O.

Yelp
I have high expectations for this place, but I was quite disappointed by the quality of food. All three of my friends got rolls, and they were unfortunately just OK. I thought the seafood had a little bit of a fishy taste to it and thought the flavors could be a little bit better. We did get this yellowtail that was pretty good but quite salty. Maybe the other location is better!

Cory H.

Yelp
Love the ambiance and look of this restaurant. I was craving sushi and was told this place has some of the best sushi in the DFW area. I started off with the mango Crab Rangoon and they were fantastic. The blue mule cocktail I had was very good also. I went with the thriller roll and the Crunch Blue roll as my entree. Both were amazing, but the Thriller roll was my favorite. Service was really great and my waiter kept the refills on drinks coming. Definitely coming back again, will try to catch their happy hour.

Noel N.

Yelp
The aesthetic in this place is so cute it feels like you're at a $$$$ sushi place! Happy Hour menu is huge and the prices are better than a lot of surrounding sushi restaurants. Our server Rey was so quick and friendly and our food came out within 5 minutes of sitting down. 10/10 service, food & dining experience.

LeeAnne W.

Yelp
This was an awesome sushi and sake experience. I ate here with my niece and sister prior to the Chris Stapleton concert last weekend. We enjoyed all of our food. We ordered the shishito peppers and could have drunk the sauce that came with the peppers. Nice garlicky and umami filled flavors. Very good. We also started out with the mango crab rangoon. Oh my goodness...we loved those little crunchy on the outside and creamy on the inside bites. Delish! My niece loves Philadelphia rolls and she requested that hers have avocado instead of the cucumber. The waiter graciously granted her request. I was very impressed by this roll that usually looks a little less spectacular at other places because they had the salmon on the top of the roll similar to a Rainbow roll presentation. She also order a rainbow roll. I ordered the unagi sashimi that was so smoky, sweet and delicious as well as the truffle salmon with ponzu sauce and salmon roe. Wow! My sister ordered a Lion King roll and it was very substantial and delicious with beautiful presentation as well. We had the chocolate spring roll for dessert and it was to die for with awesome chocolate flavors as well as fresh raspberries and sauce. We finished every bite! I had an opaque and cold sake which I regrettably cannot remember the name. Ugh! I guess I better go back and try it again! The atmosphere was foodie heavy which is fine with me. There was much appreciation and admiration of the food. The waiter was very apologetic and said he appreciated our patience because his attention was needed at another guest's table. I believe he was apologetic because one or two of the other waitstaff brought out some of our dishes instead of him. I was not offended in the least. He was an awesome waiter as were all of the staff. I cannot wait to revisit Blue Sushi Sake Grill!

Shubha S.

Yelp
Loved it! A lot of people in our group are vegetarian and this place was great for accomodating everone's dietary needs! It was packed on a Sunday night, probably because of their All Day Sunday Happy hour which is a nice deal. We ordered a variety of things, which were all delicious. Service was perfect. We will surely be back.

Daniela T.

Yelp
Sushi dinner gone right! I ordered the Gluten-free Vegan Philadelphia and I was not disappointed. It included vegan salmon and vegan cream cheese, and it was almost like the real thing. The regular non vegan sushi options were so tempting and appetizing. Our server was super patient with us and he wrote down my requests for my special roll. Tuesday evenings are not too busy, good vibes for an after work meal.

Lexi F.

Yelp
What started as a lovely evening quickly turned tragic when the edamame hit the table. Our friend was casually eating the edamame when she began coughing which quickly turned into not being able to breathe. A lady from the table beside us came over and performed the Heimlich and it was only then that the block of salt came out of her throat and landed on the table. We tried to turn the night around even though our friend could no longer eat. It wasn't until later that the bill came out and Blue Sushi Sake Grill tried to charge her for the edamame - that she almost died from eating- this when things went from bad to worse. After asking why she was being charged for the edamame the one server said "oh, I thought they took that off." He then went back and was very angry speaking to another server. Then a lady came out and tried to charge for the edamame. To which we again asked why. She then asked if we'd like for her to get the manager. Then Nick, the manager, came out. He asked what the problem was. He asked if our friend who choked was eating the food. He then shared that they stand by their food. He then cleared our plates. We then asked the hostess if someone was going to come and check us out. Then Nick the manager came back and guilt tripped our friend and said that he would pay for her meal out of his own pocket. This whole situation was ridiculous and unnecessary. We should've left after she choked on this restaurants edamame.

Miguel R.

Yelp
This was my first time having sushi ever and I really enjoyed it! The waiter was nice he saw that I was struggling with my chopsticks and gave me one with the self holders and a fork. The location was really nice and has a patio. I would recommend you try the just shrimp tempura and the mango crab Rangoon for first timers who want to try new food experiences! Also they have Kirin draft!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sommer C.

Yelp
The sushi and apps are always good! I love the options here, which is nice to have. The service last night, wasn't great. Usually it is nice service! Not last night, I have no idea what was going on with the server, but he didn't care about letting us know when the kitchen closes. My friend and I were wanting more food, but we decided go elsewhere due to service lack. Very unprofessional! He should've let the customers know when the kitchen closes and he had other tables to where I'm sure they were feeling the same way about food and drinks. He was just trying leave for the night and get out. He was very unprofessional and rude... Especially for not giving my friend soup when she asked for it several times. Hopefully it be better service next time!

Kelsey P.

Yelp
We love Blue Sushi. It is a casual restaurant that is good for a date night or group birthday dinner. This location has a nice outdoor space as well. Our favorites are the crispy Brussel sprouts (one that everyone loves), yellowtail Serrano, hot rock beef, and thriller roll. I would strongly suggest these things. The Brussel sprouts are amazing and the hot rock beef is so tender, it rivals much more expensive places. This time we also tried the dipping crab (pretty good, but a bit small), the charred edamame (good but nothing special), and the crispy tuna. The crispy tuna was really good and is a popular dish right now. We only got pictures of the tuna because we ate everything else before we remembered to take pictures. The drinks are also pretty good but pretty weak and as others have mentioned, service can be a bit slow.

Artie D.

Yelp
As always 5 stars period!!!! Love this place as I have come here for the past 5 years and that is not going to change!! Come and drop in trust me you will love my spot.

Kezia M.

Yelp
Would come again! We got the sushi boat (need to order a minimum of 6 rolls). It looked so cool and our waitress was super attentive and friendly!! Prices are average sushi prices. Clean area and easy parking.

Carlos P.

Yelp
Very consistent place for sushi, great happy hour, great atmosphere. The tuna tower, lettuce wraps, and spicy garlic edamame are other great options. I haven't had something I didn't like at Blue Sushi!

Alex B.

Yelp
New vegan roll alert! Up in Smoke is now rivaling as my favorite with Shiitake it to me so happy to see new additions on the menu!

Brittany M.

Yelp
Another great find in Texas! This time in Dallas. Our group of friends wanted sushi so I searched for sushi restaurants with vegan options and found Blue Sushi Sake Grill. The vegan section of the menu was exactly what I was looking for! Lots of options for vegan appetizers, vegan rolls and even a few options for vegan Nigiri. For starters we ordered the crispy Brussels sprouts which had a creamy miso sauce and roasted cashews. This was the perfect starter to share and our friends enjoyed it too. I ordered the Hot Popper roll - vegan smoked salmon, vegan cream cheese, jalapeño tempura wrapped with soy paper and sriracha on top. It was absolutely delightful! Before going vegan 7 years ago, I didn't eat fish because I didn't like it. So this was a leap of faith for me but I wanted to try something new! The salmon did not have a fishy taste at all but the texture and smokiness with the cream cheese and jalapeño tempura was working magic for my tastebuds. 10/10 *chefs kiss* I also ordered the Eden roll - sweet potato tempura, grilled asparagus, edamame hummus, sun dried tomato, brown rice, soy paper, olive oil and seas salt. I loved this roll! It wasn't as adventurous for me as the Hot Popper but I needed a safer option just in case and this was perfect. Another 10/10! My husband kept it on the safe side and ordered the V.L.T roll - lettuce, cucumber, cherry tomato, avocado, shallot, smoked tomato paper, sea salt, vegan mayo. He said it was delicious! He also ordered the classic Veggie roll - red pepper, vegan cream cheese, avocado, cucumber. He enjoyed this roll as well. Vegan rolls were about 9$-13$. Our friends also really enjoyed their regular non-vegan rolls and said they would go back fairly often since they live in the area. We all enjoyed Blue Sushi Sake Grill and can't wait to go back during our next visit to Texas! Highly recommend!

Morgan H.

Yelp
The perfect girls' night out! I suggest coming Sundays or during happy hour for some killer deals! Love the inside, our waitress was a sweetheart, and the fish is always so fresh!!! Definitely my favorite place to splurge on sushi!

Victoria E.

Yelp
Blue is one our go to for Happy Hour Sushi and Cocktails. Hot poppers are our favorite. Great service

Kurt C.

Yelp
What the heck, paid 16 dollars for some lunch meat. At least the Yellow tail was a decent cut

Brian A.

Yelp
Blue is a great place that has a nice vibe especially during lunch. Went for dinner and I tried the thriller maki, coconut crab soup (probably wouldn't get again), tuna tower, and lettuce wraps. Of those I would highly recommend the lettuce wraps and tuna tower. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

Payton F.

Yelp
RUN, do not walk to the best sushi around. This is my number one go to spot for sushi these days. My favorites are the Spanish fly, San Marcos maki, and the lion king. Also the shishito peppers are amaze & the yellowtail sashimi is the everything you could want. Go go go!!!!

Crystal O.

Yelp
The food was sooo delicious and our waitress was very attentive even when one of our sushi rolls took longer than expected and it they even took it off of our ticket. I recommend all the drinks!!

Bryan B.

Yelp
Tried this after seeing a few Instagram photos. Experience was good not great until we got the madai nigiri, after which the experience soured considerably. Lettuce wraps: These were really good, best thing about the experience. I might order these for lunch semi-regularly. Tidal wave: Decent initial bite, but there was a bit too much cream cheese that stuck around too long. Cowgirl: interesting vegan option, I enjoyed this one but my partner did not. Strong pickle taste. Madai Nigiri: This was inedible, huge pieces of fish that were tough and filled with scales. Our waitress said the chefs were newer, so perhaps they were unfamiliar with how to properly prepare Madai (as it is one of the more difficult cuts to get right)

Cindy L.

Yelp
I only eat the fully cooked items and it always tastes wonderful. Would like one change to the online ordering system. For Each item, ask for a name. When items are delivered, they are packed together. At work, we don't have plates so we are having to use a paper towel or the lid of the to-go item as a serving platter. This would be a major improvement. Otherwise, everything is great!

Kayla W.

Yelp
I really love that they have so many delicious vegan options. I took my family for my birthday dinner and they enjoyed it.

Daniel C.

Yelp
We had reservations but still took staff a long time to seat us. Service was worse than expected on a Wednesday night. The rolls were about average but always fun to try a restaurant's specialties. My wife and I liked the interior of the restaurant - very much goes along with the restaurant!

Ruchika M.

Yelp
Two words: Truffle Salmon. It was an unmitigated delight to consume. I found salmon sashimi and truffle (two of my favorite things) to be quite the peculiar combination but believe me when I tell you, it works! Every bite was savored. The Tuna Tower is called a "Large Plate" but - not sure if my appetite is unusually large - I could easily down one of these and eat more afterwards lol. My bf and I split it and it was very delicately made and absolutely delicious. Really high quality fish they're using. Drinks are fab and fairly show stopping. The Coconut Mojito is nice and creamy; if you like tropical, tangy flavors, this one is for you. The rest of the party we came with thoroughly enjoyed their cocktails and rolls. My bf and I went on a double date here and the ambience and vibes are perf for that kind of thing. The place is def higher end in terms of prices, so I would just say be ready for that!

Yelp
Good food and great company! I went for my birthday in 2022. It's close proximity to the Dallas Stars hockey rink!

Yelp
Sushi tends to be my cuisine (and my husbands) of choice. So when we had a kid free night in Dallas sushi it was. Blue Sushi was packed on the Tuesday night before Thanksgiving. We met my husband's cousin there who is a frequent customer and she mentioned it's always busy. The waiter tried to take our order within 1 second of sitting down, but we needed a bit more time. We soon learned we should have placed our order right away because our simple rolls took nearly an hour to come out. The waiter came by to apologize about the wait and the tables next to us seemed to be experiencing a similar wait. Fortunately our appetizers of house salad and shishito peppers didn't take quite as long, which held us over while we waited. + a delicious glass of Reisling. The sushi was fine, but not sure worth the hour wait. I found myself wishing we had gone to Uchi instead, which I've heard is amazing. Maybe it was just an off night for Blue, but I'd likely try Uchi or somewhere else for sushi in Dallas next time.

Yelp
I come to this sushi spot often to indulge in the amazing happy hour specials. I have never been disappointed with the food or service! I highly recommend this place for a self-care/solo date or a date night with the boo! Can't beat the happy hour and it's everyday of the week..and all day on Sunday!
