"Blue Sushi, with its clubby vibe, tapas, and sushi, is another of Colleen’s favorites, because it’s a place one can dress up or down to eat. She recommends ordering the Lion King roll, which “never disappoints.”" - Courtney E. Smith

Google
I had a GREAT experience. My favorite items were the valuable crispy rice cake and the crispy Brussels sprouts! As a vegetarian they had GREAT options with lots of flavor. I'd definitely be back and absolutely recommend to friends.

Tanzira Najnin

Google
This place was nice! Large selection of vegan items with non-vegan items as well! The price is very reasonable too. They also have happy hour from 11am to 6PM I believe and some items are really cheap at that time. We ordered their fried icecream and it was huge! It’s more than enough for 3 people! They have parking in the building but you will need to validate when you go inside the restaurant. Otherwise you pay $10 for parking. They take a little bit of time to serve but the environment is really nice. The restaurant is pretty big so it’s nice for a large group of people too. I would recommend this place!

I recently dined at Blue Sake Sushi and had the pleasure of being served by Unity. Her exceptional service truly enhanced our dining experience. Unity was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. She made excellent recommendations and ensured our glasses were never empty. Her warm demeanor and efficiency made for a delightful evening. Highly recommend asking for Unity during your visit!

Nice restaurant with nice atmosphere. Food and cocktails were very good and they offer a happy hour between 5pm to 7pm Monday to Thursday. Server (Alejandro) was wonderful and attentive. Will definitely come back. Nice for dates, special occasions, business meetings. Enjoy!

Google
The atmosphere is very corporate / cosmopolitan, which would make it ideal for business meetings! Would the sushi be worth it if it weren't for their Happy Hour menu prices...? Probably not. Although not "fishy" in taste, I found the flavor combinations underwhelming & lacking the "umami punch" I expect from sushi rolls.

Riya Shah

Google
Loved a few vegetarian dishes from here! Best prices during happy hour! They do have a vegan mayo (without eggs)

Jesus C

Google
The sushi here is really good. The shishito peppers are really savory with the oil sauce that comes with I could be eating them all day long. Go in happy hour time and enjoy different sushi for a really low price.

Google
Wanted a Sunday happy hour. Turns out this place has happy hour from 2-6 and Sunday is all day. Made a reservation, but easily had room at the bar. Everything was good for the happy hour price, but the best was the yellowtail Serrano and truffle salmon.

Yelp
FOOD - Truffle Salmon - The salmon was fresh and torched. There were wasabi sprouts on top and drizzled with both hot sesame oil and truffle ponzu sauce. The dish looks amazing and also tastes so good. The sauce had this zesty flavor that went super well with the char/flamed taste. - Itchy Salmon - Also super good with charred flavor. The dish is spicy crab meat topped with salmon, cilantro, pepper, and sauce. The spicy crab mix is so creamy and it melts in your mouth. - Godzilla Bomb Roll - Tempura Blue Kani, Bigeye tuna, and yellowtail with also pepper and togarashi. The roll was crunchy on the bottom and very spicy on the top. It was also super creamy and yummy. On a side note, the ginger is a lot fresher. It's not as marinated as other places but that gives it a fresh essence. They also have thicker cuts of ginger. Overall, the fish and ingredients are all super high quality with great flavor. On the more expensive side but you are definitely getting your money's worth. VIBES The vibe is more upscale casual. There were a lot of couples there. My friend and I came at around 3:50 PM and it was not that crowded. They have two sides of seating, bar seating, and also patio seating. Decorations were so pretty with a bunch of lanterns and more modernized traditional Japanese look. The chopsticks were also really nice. SERVICE Service was great! The guy gave us amazing recommendations, was patient with us and checked on us a lot.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised by the sushi today. However, I am increasingly concerned about the sustainability practices, as most farmed fish significantly impact our ecosystem. I prefer wild-caught fish, which is better for the environment and offers a superior nutrient profile. Nonetheless, the affordable prices here are largely due to their use of farmed fish. I started off with their specialty sashimi: truffle salmon and yellowtail Serrano. The truffle flavor was overpowered by the sesame oil but both were very good, though a bit on the salty side, which made me think they might be masking the quality of the fish. Despite this, I would order them again. My friend ordered the Godzilla Bomb and the Lion King rolls. My biggest complaint is the rice--it's too soft and mushy, lacking the distinct texture of proper sushi rice. The rice texture was similar to the fish, which negatively affected the overall tasting experience for me. It's a great budget friendly sushi place but due to the mushy sushi rice and no wild caught options, I probably won't be back. Solid 4 stars but taking 2 off for the mushy sushi rice.

Yelp
Ayyyyyyyo!! Who knew Dallas had top tier sushi??? Coming from California, I was a bit skeptical how fresh the sushi would be and the quality/taste of the rolls, however Blue Sushi Sake Grill really impressed me. I'm thoroughly surprised and upset they aren't located in the Bay Area now! The spicy edamame was 10/10!! All of the sushi rolls were exceptional and really were well-thought out and crafted well flavor profile-wise. There was a certain "char" aspect that made everything more special and extra tasty! Service was great and attentive. Ambiance was clean and dimly lit. Perfect for a casual lunch, special dinner or date night. Highly recommend the "itchy salmon nigiri", spicy edamame and the tetaki maki roll pictured! They even have vegan rolls, which is perfect for my vegetarian cousin! 10/10 yall, highly recommend!

Yelp
We had a really great dining experience for our 9th anniversary. Started with the crab Rangoon which we both really enjoyed. It was paired with a red sauce that was pretty tasty. I had the Hawaiian roll and thought it was extremely good. It was paired with what tasted like a mango sauce and I really enjoyed it. I shared a piece with my Hubs and he enjoyed it as well. I tried a few pieces of his tidal wave roll and had instant food regrets. It was AMAZING. I will definitely order one for myself next time. I Thanks for a great time!

Yelp
This is our go to place when my wife and I are craving makis. They serve both basic rolls and specialty. I haven't had the basic/classic ones so can't attest to those, however, I can undoubtedly vouch for the specialty ones. Here's what we got this time around ranked in order of preference: - Spicy gringo - this was an interesting one because it was slightly tangy, thanks to the bbq paper- I know, pretty interesting. My family wasn't a big fan of this one. - Godzilla - top 3 for everyone in our party. - Tidal wave - beware: it's got shrimp tempura and cream cheese, but don't let that deter you. It's solid! - Green eggs and Hama - good, but was made differently than the times we've had in the past. - Lion king - not bad, just a tad creamy. Was top 3 for others in party. - Spanish fly - also not bad, it just has a generous amount of cilantro. - Beach - none of us liked this one. It was also weird because it had a carrot in there that was unexpected. Aside from the rolls we got truffle salmon and mango crab Rangoon for the apps. We usually get the yellow tail - which is solid - but went for the truffle salmon instead this time and weren't disappointed. It was 5 pieces of deliciousness. The latter is your basic crab rangoon just on top of mango drizzle. Service was prompt and server was kind. Parking: we parked in the garage. DO NOT PAY FOR PARKING. Scan the parking QR code inside restaurant for free 2 hour parking.

Yelp
Met a friend here for Lunch, I was famished. I was immediately greeted by a very pleasant young man behind the counter. He informed me when I asked, Did I park in the correct parking garage behind the building? Cause Texas will have your whip towed in a jiffy. He replied, Yes. He also informed me of the validation QR Kiosk that I could use for a 2 hour free complimentary parking as well. Once we got to our seats Luis was there greeting us. He explained what Edamame's were to us. Luis was very polite, attentive, polite, friendly, on point, swift, only thing that was delayed was the non-alcoholic beverage I'd ordered it wasn't a good as I'd expected it to be. Luis was kind enough to remove it from our table. The Sushi was delicious. I'll definitely recommend, and return again. 10/10

Yelp
Sunday all day happy hour is the best Bluetinis are so good! Sushi is always fresh and they have the best selection of raw and cooked rolls.

Yelp
A favorite of mine! I always go to the houston location and wanted to check out the Dallas one and wow!! Blue sushi never disappoints. Our hostess was so kind she even gave us coffee shop recommendations since I'm new to Dallas.
google avatar

Alexandria M.

Yelp
Happy Hour Menu for takeout is phenomenal! Everything tasted fresh and staff was very welcoming when picking up. Restaurant is visibly clean and well decorated. Can't wait to go back soon!
google avatar

Kari B.

Yelp
Bomb happy hour! If you aren't there for their amazing HH, go for dinner. Order the Lychee Martini. It's not on the menu but they can whip up one of the best in Dallas. I've had many rolls there and they are all good. Crab Rangoons and Shishito peppers are a great app to start with. Will be back!!
google avatar

Sam

Yelp
Honestly not too bad had only sushi this run, prepared pretty slow but not too bad in taste, quality was decent had vegan options as well if that matters got a free desert due to a miss input from the server. Overall 6/10 its ok.
google avatar

Da'Kimbria B.

Yelp
Love it here. Sushi is AMAZING! I come here pretty often, my favorite roll is the Lion King! Service is great & the environment is cool & calm.

Yelp
Bomb sushi in the Uptown area!! I've been wanting to try this place for a minute now and happenned to be in the area on Saturday. Service was well and the ambiance was comfortable for a nice solo date. It wasnt crowded for a weekend. They offer a daily happy hour which was quite the surprise. All my items ended up being on the happy hour menu as well. The mango crab rangoon app was delicious. This app had more cream cheese filling then I'm accustomed to. I wish there was a bit more crab taste but it was still good! The pepper and mango sauce it comes with was a great balance of the flavors. The wonton wrap was perfectly crispy. There's parking in the garage behind the restaurant. It costs $5 plus a service fee. Once you validate your ticket, it will be reimbursed to you. You will not realize this until you inquire about it at the restaurant.

Yelp
On a trip in Dallas and wanted sushi. Their variations were surprising and absolutely delicious. We tried three and my favorite was the Amazon roll. I also enjoyed the charred edamame and a hibiscus squeeze. The presentation of all the food was wonderful too. Loved the decor inside and out. We sat outside and enjoyed the patio and cool evening breeze. I'll definitely return when I'm in Dallas again.
google avatar

Lyndsay K.

Yelp
Soooo good! My husband and I ordered the Thriller and the Tidal Wave; both were fantastic! Wish we could go again!
google avatar

Mia L.

Yelp
Ambiance + drinks + calamari + sushi(++++presentation) = a great date The bill will be 100+ for us but always worth the swipe! I always sit at the bar so service is prompt. I'm addicted.
google avatar

Crystal D.

Yelp
Service was great, our server was super attentive and sushi came out really fast. I've rate the crispy rice a 7/10 - it wasnt bad but I've definitely had better. The rolls were super unique and I enjoyed each one. In order from top to bottom: Green Eggs & Hama, Godzilla Bomb , Tataki Maki. The sake was also yummy but if you plan on drinking a decent amount I'd definitely suggest going with a bottle. The vibe was cute for a date night!
google avatar

Teresa L.

Yelp
Free edamame for Yelp check in! Had the cucumber salad, hot popper roll (favorite) Snow White roll and chocolate egg rolls for desert. Spilt between 2 of us. All fresh and prepared well. Great service! Only complaint was the volume, couldn't hear to order or have any conversation. We ate quickly so we could leave and catch up a bit outside, where we could hear each other speak. Still good stuff but WAY too loud. Parking is validated. Restaurant is clean.
google avatar

Lily H.

Yelp
I always enjoy my visits at Blue Sushi both the uptown and Preston Hollow location. They have a good variety of appetizers and starters for a sushi restaurant and enough variety of rolls so everyone can find something they like. Probably my favorite roll here is the Lion King. We ordered two orders of it this visit and absolutely devoured it. Our waiter was awesome and got the vibe of our party... as we were celebrating my girlfriend's birthday. He was very attentive and helpful. The ambiance is casual, but you can also have fun and dress up nice and have a great meal here. I'll be back!
google avatar

Bailey W.

Yelp
My favorite sushi spot in Dallas! I really appreciate their large vegan section on the menu. They're plenty of options for my fellow vegetarians & vegans! Can't beat the all day happy hour on Sundays - half off the entire menu! My only complaint is that the tables are so small you can barely fit all your food!
google avatar

Aliyah S.

Yelp
I have been to this Blue Sushi location multiple times and love it! One of the most notable things about this establishment is its wide variety of vegan sushi and non-alcoholic drinks! Inclusivity when it comes to food is something I'm always on the search for. The last time I ate here, I went with a vegan friend and got nothing but vegan entrées and I didn't even feel as if I missed the fish. It was super satisfying. The servers are very nice and attentive. The atmosphere is very vibey. It'd be a great date spot!
google avatar

Judy A.

Yelp
I have visited the Walnut Hill location and I am glad to say that both locations are equally fantastic. The food and customers service is consistent, which is not always the case with restaurants with multiple locations. To eat I got two of my favorites, the Lion king roll and the Snow White roll. They did not disappoint. I also tried something new: the River Rock Beef. It's comes on hot rocks that cook the meat at your table. It was delicious.
google avatar

Ashley S.

Yelp
Came here for the happy hour with friends and we had an enjoyable time. You can have your parking validated for 2 hours after your visit. The customer service was amazing from the hostess to the waiter! I ordered the China Doll as my drink and the quality could've been better. The drink watered down fairly quickly which made for a poor drink. I wouldn't order this again. For food, I ordered the Miso Soup and House Salad (ginger dressing) and both were delicious. I highly recommend the soup as it was very warm and filling. For sushi, I ordered the Crunchy L.A. Roll and the Tekka Roll (which is their traditional spicy tuna roll). Both rolls were tasty, fresh, and quality made. I enjoyed them and highly recommend their Tekka Roll as it's simple but enjoyable. Overall, I would return here to try out their different rolls and drink options!

Yelp
Great location for vegan sushi lovers! The restaurant itself is huge with plenty of seating- we came on a monday night and didnt have any wait. The ambiance is also great with fun music and nice decor. Food wise I started with crispy brussel sprouts and they were soo favorful. The crunchy nuts on top paired well with the seasoning of the brussles. Then I had the vegan Shitake roll and it was so unique with hints if coconut I highly recommend. I also had the classic Thai Hippie and it was a classic but I really liked the strong basil flavor. I will definitely be coming back to try more items! (Parking was also validated if you parked in the garage behind the building- it was a little confusing at first but the instructions on what to do are inside.)
google avatar

Kelsey K.

Yelp
Came in today for happy hour. Food was great as always the blue mule was interesting, I think I preferred the peach daiquiri I got last time. The cherry bomb was great! Good textures and spicy taste without being too overwhelming. The salmon skin roll was good very crispy but I don't think I'd get it again. Roja roll was a bit too soft for my taste, needed a bit more crunch. Lion king roll was delicious as always. We got the crispy rice to start was seemed a bit burnt this time but the ponzu sauce really stands out in this dish. Will definitely be back and stay on the oration for us!
google avatar

Melanie M.

Yelp
Incredible food - one of my favorite sushi places in Dallas. Blue Sushi has LOTS of vegan options, and everything I have tried so far has been amazing. I loved the Eden roll with tempura sweet potato (a vegan roll) and would order again! I'm not vegan but a friend was and said she has loved every roll she tried so far. The service was amazing, our waitress was so sweet, and the food came out so fast. The brussle sprouts were incredible as well - I highly highly recommend. Overall, incredible sushi spot. It's a really cute restaurant with ample seating. Highly recommend.

Nona M.

Yelp
Dined at Blue in Dallas and lucky me I found out there is one in Indy as well!! Such a win. Had the best night here!!! Our server was knowledgeable of the menu and we used all the recs provided!! Vibes were the best. Drinks were refreshing and stunning. The sushi was fresh and flavorful! I am so happy I have this place as an option when I'm back to Indianapolis!! Win win!
google avatar

Celeste Z.

Yelp
The restaurant is generally popping, but I've never had to wait long. The itchy salmon is one of my favorite things to eat, so be sure to order this as a an appetizer!! They make the best sushi around!

Mikayla A.

Yelp
The food was excellent, with very tasty sushi. However, our server, Bre, was unprofessional towards the end of our meal. We had to wait 10 minutes for side condiments, causing our food to get cold. She was dissatisfied with the tip and asked for a cash tip twice. This behavior is highly unprofessional. Please provide training on professionalism before hiring at Blue Fish.
google avatar

Faryn S.

Yelp
I love this place! The happy hour menu is on point! The service is great and the atmosphere is calm!
google avatar

Erica S.

Yelp
My favorite sushi spot! As a vegan, it's challenging to find good sushi, but this place has a variety of vegan rolls that taste just like the real thing. Wish there happy hour extended at least to 6pm!
google avatar

Stacey S.

Yelp
Loved the food and the service. Until at the end the server didn't realize that I had picked up the tip portion for my friend since she paid some cash. I tipped on my card. And the server was accusing us of not tipping him enough. When I pointed out that I tipped 36% on my portion, he literally just walked off when he realized his mistake. Which we can tip him ZERO if we feel like it. So rude at the end and it ruined the whole experience to be honest. We will not be back.
google avatar

Tee A.

Yelp
We went to this place to celebrate a birthday and the service was excellent! Our server was amazing however the sushi wasn't that amazing. I would still go back but to try something else.

Kathy N.

Yelp
came here for my bday and omggg, the food was amazing, got the mango crab rangoons and thriller ... SO GOOD !!! the service was perfect, Jorge was our waiter and he was so sweet !! explained the menu well and was very attentive. I honestly will be back just bc the food was amazing but the service was perfect !!! love the place, very cute and clean. Thank you for an amazing birthday and first time experience :)) can't wait to be back soon !!

Yelp
Leaving the restaurant was followed with strong toothpaste and mouthwash. Absolutely BAD old dry fish. Sad service Premium prices for a loud and ineffective ambiance. This is a case of really bad management trying to be unique rather than good. The staff is obstinate and the menu is its own creation of sadness. Definitely not a sushi dining experience. And our server; Darina H was extremely condescending to the bus boy who was kind enough to get my drink refilled in a fraction of the time it took her. Our third attempt with this dump. Definitely our last. Just say no to this hipster fish disaster
google avatar

Olgert B.

Yelp
Great sushi and service. There's a lot of options to choose from. Also probably one of the best vegetarian options out there. Prices are reasonable and the ingredients are well-balanced.
google avatar

Micky C.

Yelp
Great vegan options! Everything I've ordered has been delicious. Their app is pretty good but it can be glitchy during busy ordering times. The Tuesday special for sake & vegan rolls is a good value. The restaurants are all very pretty and not too loud.
google avatar

Khushbu T.

Yelp
Fun, casual atmosphere for all kinds of people! Probably the largest menu of options at a sushi place I have seen. This is a great place for people who eat fish but also all vegetarians and vegans who love sushi! Each roll comes as 8-9 pieces making it perfect for sharing and trying more options! The vegan lettuce wraps were fun app to start. Chewy, yet crispy tofu with the ability to make your own way. My favorite rolls (pictured) include the green goddess, shiitake to me, and vegan hot pepper.
google avatar

Dwaneika C.

Yelp
Intimate quiet environment , I enjoyed my food.. not my favorite sushi spot but it was nice and the happy hour menu was extensive as well. My server was very attentive and made sure I enjoyed my experience.
google avatar

Yelp
When entering, the first thing that entered my mind was "wow, the interior is striking!" Japanese lanterns and large paper cranes adorn the ceilings, and large-scale retro Asian memorabilia cover the walls. There's a lot of seating, and you have your choice of high chair, booth, or table seating. One complaint is that it's fairly dark inside, even during daytime with natural lighting and windows. Our servers were friendly but our hostess seemed standoffish and inhospitable, even during a slow lunch day. As for the sushi itself (given it's a sushi place and pretty much only have sushi on their menu), it's quite expensive. However, I do think it's worth the cost if you go for the cheaper options. Their other specialty is drinks, as they've got quite a selection. Haven't tried any but there are teas, cocktails, wine, sake and beer. Parking is $6 in their lot, but is validated for 2 hrs. Just pay first and scan the QR code at the front table to get reimbursed. Overall, this place seems to advertise itself as very "Asian" and authentic given the decor and food offering. Seems like a good date place if your date likes sushi and alcohol, and you don't mind paying a bit more.
google avatar

Breanna G.

Yelp
The food was great! No complaints here. Everything was fresh and delicious. The service was a little slow though. Other than that, there were no issues we experienced
google avatar

Rachel R.

Yelp
Large space but not my favorite sushi, feels very chain sushi like inside but has lots of options and can accommodate large groups
google avatar

Alison G.

Yelp
Fantastic plant-based rolls! The green goddess was outstanding! My husband loved the ceviche. I had a few tastes, and it was excellent. The eggplant rolls not my favorite. Needed to be cooked more. Nice outdoor seating, but a little too loud. Indoor seating was even more loud. Excessively so. Service was very good. Plant-based cream cheese was to die for! They did not put enough on the roll, but they brought extra and I could've eaten buckets of it! Completely separate gluten-free menu, which was so nice! And delicious gluten-free soy sauce.
google avatar

Carolina A.

Yelp
Where do I start??? It's impossible to choose a favorite dish. We had several and they were all top notch: - Itchy Seabass, - Crunchy Blue - Tuna Tower - Shishito Pepper's - Spicy Edamame - Lion King - Blue Kani The drinks were good too, I loved the strawberry Margarita which is made with Rosè and Cointreau.
google avatar

Aryelle S.

Yelp
I wish the service here was better. But The sushi is always consistent and they have a good happy hour menu. The crab Rangoon is light and flaky which is different than most places but super good. If you are a fan of edamame, get the charred one, it's good. They have a lot of vegan/vegetarian options which is nice for the people that need it.
google avatar

Jameka J.

Yelp
My go to sushi spot. Sushi is the best and fresh. Beautiful place and fast service. There was parking. Will always come back.
google avatar

Kae B.

Yelp
Great service! Food was amazing. That sushi had no chance lol! It's also a very cute lil restaurant that you can get dressed up for with your girls. Highly recommend.
google avatar

John K.

Yelp
My favorite spot to eat in Dallas The lion king roll. Blue Kani to start. And the tidal wave rolls
google avatar

Kiwi B.

Yelp
Sushi doesn't have to mean raw fish! Blue Sushi has many options, including cooked items and vegetarian. Service is also great. Our favorites are Eric and Joselyn - both always smiling and working hard. Check it out. Try the chicken crunch salad!
google avatar

Sandi M.

Yelp
Great lunch spot downtown with fresh, delicious sushi. If you like Brussels sprouts, be sure to order the shareable plate, they're so good! My friend and I each ordered the lunch specials to share a variety of rolls...while I can't recall the names of them all, they were all great! One was crunchy LA which is a must-get. Spicy gringo is very spicy! Can't wait to go back!
