Yelp
Blue Sushi Sake Grill is a chain that has restaurants in about a dozen states. I made a reservation for two people for this particular restaurant in Cleveland.
The menu listed foods such as miso soup, seaweed salad, edamame, nigiri, sashimi, maki, chocolate spring rolls, and mochi ice cream. A full bar offered beverages such as sake, cocktails, wines, beers, teas, and other non-alcoholic drinks. Please see my attached photos for the menu in May 2024. I appreciated that options were available for raw, not-raw, fish, and vegan foods.
The seating hostess promptly seated my husband and me at a table that was sticky and could have been cleaned better. The waitress's service was very, very slow. I think that she was actually the bartender and that the restaurant was understaffed. My husband and I waited many, many minutes to order our drinks and foods. We had ordered a total of four foods, and the waitress brought out only three of the foods. At the end of our meal, we told her that she never gave us the fourth food, so she asked a manager to remove it from our bill.
Here are our ratings for the foods:
Mango crab rangoon - 4 stars - Crispy wonton wrappers were filled with crab, cream cheese, and scallions and served on top of mango and pepper sauces. These crab rangoons tasted good but were slightly oilier than what other restaurants serve.
Spicy sake maki - 4 stars - Five pieces of maki contained raw salmon, cucumber, and spices. The ingredients were fresh but could have used slightly more flavor.
Cabo roll - 4.5 stars - Eight pieces of raw maki contained tuna, crab, and cucumber. My husband said that this maki tasted very good.
Cherry bomb nigiri - ? - We ordered this entree but never received it.
Yelp's app had notified me of a $10-off coupon, so I presented it to the waitress, and she deducted $10 from our bill. (Thank you, Yelp!) Overall, the prices were reasonable. The waitress told my husband and me "Thank you" and "Have a good day."
