Bluebells Restaurant

Went for dinner for my birthday and all the food was super nice! They bring out canapés before the starters which were all lovely. For a starter I had the haddock and mussel chowder which was lovely and really creamy. I also tried the chicken liver parfait and although I’m not a big fan of liver I thought this was really lovely as well. For a main I had the duck and the duck was cooked very well - not dry at all and really tasty. The kale it came with was also delicious. The portion size was also generous. For dessert we shared a few and my favourite was the peanut and chocolate entremet. They also bring little dessert canapés if you’re having a hot drink which was a nice touch. The only minus I’d say is the parking was a little tricky when we got there because there were only a couple of spaces free and the spaces are really tight. Overall I’d say it is good value for money, and a lovely place to go for a special occasion. I’ll be recommending it!

Had a wonderful dinner tonight! The food was absolutely delicious — modern European cuisine done to perfection. The wine selection was impressive, and the cocktail list was equally tempting. The ambience was lovely, and the service was truly sublime and attentive. Highly recommend!

We came for a birthday lunch and it was a wonderful experience. The staff were super friendly, decor is lovely. All of the food was delicious particularly the prawn and Mackrell pate starter and the sea bream pasta main. We had a cocktail too which were both great. We will be back it felt good value for the standard of food and service.

This time we had a roast and I would says it was one of the best, if not the best I have ever had! The service at Bluebells is equally outstanding. They strike the perfect balance between professionalism and friendliness, making you feel both well taken care of and completely at ease. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for an unforgettable meal, Bluebells delivers on every level with extreme consistency on all visits. It’s our third time in the restaurant in the last few months, since we discovered this gem and we just love how consistently great the food is, the service is always on point, the owner John and all the team are super friendly and welcoming. The choice of cocktails is great too. The restaurant is very reasonably priced. Overall it’s such a welcoming atmosphere that we can not wait to be back soon.

Best meal out I’ve had for a long time. Lovely welcome, delicious canapés and bread. Attentive service without feeling stuffy or overbearing. Food was excellent and we will be back in the summer. Scored atmosphere slightly lower as we were seated in a side area so didn’t get to experience the main dining room and it was also a little bit chilly so next time I’d request a different table. Also had a lychee cocktail which can sometimes be too sweet but it was well balanced and really enjoyable. Overall Bluebells is a real treat!

Delicious food and excellent service. Loved the canapés too. So glad I finally managed to try Bluebells 😋 Will 100% be back!
