18 Essential Restaurants in Myrtle Beach

"This isn’t granny’s breakfast house of yesteryear, the one with the ugly carpet, horrible coffee, and synthetic syrup. Blueberry’s Grill is easy, breezy, borderline swank and filled with cool people noshing on omelets made with a wide range of fillings and the best Monte Cristos ever." - Andre James

A Mixed Experience: Incredible Food, Outstanding Service — But the Flies! The restaurant is an amazing spot for incredible food. My server, Jamieson, was absolutely extraordinary — his service was explicitly professional, attentive, and warm. I ordered the shrimp and grits, and without a doubt, it was the best I've ever had. Every bite was flavorful and perfectly prepared. However, I have to be honest — my dining experience was disrupted by an overwhelming presence of flies. It felt like a scene straight out of the Egyptian plagues. After just seven minutes at the table, I had to pack up my food and eat in my car because of the constant swarming of fruit flies and large flying insects around and even on my meal. While the food remained delicious, and the service was exceptional, the atmosphere was ruined by the insect issue. I implore the owners to seriously consider investing in a solution — whether it’s commercial-grade bug zappers, air curtains, or other sanitation measures — to improve the indoor environment. To be clear: the food is magnificent, the service is top-tier, but the fly situation makes it hard to enjoy what should be a fantastic dining experience. Fix that, and you’ve got one of the best spots in town — no question.

Lay-Lay contributed to the wonderful experience we enjoyed at the N. Kings Hwy location. The kitchen staff was on point with punctuality, courtesy, and friendliness at delivery. We all like to think we have exquisite taste and know when we are eating food uniquely created... we were no different while dining at Blueberry's Grill. We ate there twice over a four-night stay. The menu is packed with excellent selections. Recommend you start with the Blueberry hush-puppies. Pictures posted for your viewing. BTW - The North Myrtle Beach location is most inviting.

Absolutely amazing! From the moment we walked in, everything was perfect. The service was outstanding, the atmosphere warm and welcoming, and every little detail was clearly taken care of with love. The food was absolutely delicious — every dish we ordered was full of flavor, beautifully presented, and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. What truly impressed me was how well they treated the children. They brought out the kids’ meals first, which shows they really care about making families feel comfortable and prioritized. It meant a lot to see that the little ones mattered too! The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our visit. This place has definitely become one of my favorites. I’ll be coming back soon, and I highly recommend it to anyone — especially families!

Google
I got the fennel & kale spicy chicken Benedict, my partner got the blueberry pancakes "blasted up" lol. Everything was flavorful, hot, and fresh down to the seasoned home fries. We sat outside on a 83⁰ day and it was lovely, the shade provided did a good job cooling us down. Service was fast and efficient. The prices were decent for the area and what you get. Unpictured, but the grilled blueberry muffin was so good too, it's like caramelized cake, I will be back!

This was a nice brunch place. Reserved online and checked in with host and was sat reasonably. Our waitress was nice nice and even had the umbrella put up for us. I ordered the blueberry creame brulee French toast it was so good. And then my partner ate salmon benedict. It was so good and savory. I really enjoyed his food too. I washed it down with a mango strawberry mimosa.

Google
Went here for breakfast because I was intrigued by the name. I love all things blueberry. (Totally wished they sold t shirts). I was very impressed and this will become my go-to breakfast spot in MB. Food was so fresh and delicious. Honestly, I could eat here every week if I lived in the area. I ordered Eggs Benedict (my favorite breakfast order). It was amazing although I would preferred it served with a little more Hollandaise sauce but I will to know ask for extra next time. My fiance went with a sweet breakfast and he really enjoyed his as well. Presentation and plating were beautiful.

Google
Breakfast was great, and the service was good. I actually had the fruit instead of the grits. The French toast was great and different from the original French toast I'm used to. My friend had the cinnamon roll, and she loved it. Eggs was cooked to perfection as well as the bacon.

Google
Mariah was our server and did a fabulous job. Said she was a trainee, but he would never have known it very prompt, thorough, anticipated what we need before we needed it. I ordered the chicken pesto five cheese sandwich and it was fabulous. My wife ordered the omelette With the cold, smoked salmon and was beyond pleased. We ordered some of the blueberry hush puppies as an appetizer. Weren’t really sure what to expect but they had a touch of sweetness, but they were still savory. Quite good! Next time we are in the area, we will certainly visit this establishment again.

Yelp
Blueberry's Grill is an annual stop for our vacation. The cinnamon roll French toast was AMAZING. The service was amazing. All around a great breakfast place.

Hallie D.

Yelp
Amazing breakfast! I had the toasted blueberry muffin with hard boiled eggs & apples with peanut butter. The muffin was delicious! We'll be back!

Susan P.

Yelp
We also accidentally joined the wrong waitlist, but were quickly seated when the problem was discovered. The service was friendly and fast; the food was delicious! This is our favorite breakfast place at Myrtle Beach. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Came for brunch the a few friends, the food and service were incredible! We opted for outside seating which is covered and has fans. There isn't much of a view outside but it still had a nice breeze. The food was very good! If you like pancakes, the blueberry hush puppies are a must. The butter and jam that it came with really took the flavors over the top. I loved the pork belly and adding the mustard pepper sauce gave it a nice kick. They also had a lobster skillet special and the lobster paired incredibly well with the dish!

Yelp
If you're looking for the best breakfast in Myrtle Beach...Blueberry's Gill is the place to be. The food was so good and I'm a picky breakfast eater. They had such a variety to choose from...which I love. Ana was our server and she was kind..attentive...filled our water without asking...check on us frequently and when we were finished with our meal she cleared our table. Thanks Ana for your kindness!!! The restaurant had a little cozy feel inside and it felt like we really could connect with our family while we were dining. I wish this restaurant was in Southern California!! PLEASE!!! Thanks for the hospitality and service.

Yelp
The blue berry creme brulee French toast was delicious! However, it said it was too come with fresh blueberries and strawberries, well it did but only 5 blueberries and 1 strawberry.... my biggest complaint is that for a side of (4 pieces of small THIN) bacon it cost me $7!!! Hailey was very friendly and knowledgeable. The restaurant was busy but clean and the line seemed to move fast.

Yelp
I've heard a lot of praise about this restaurant so I had to go give it a try. Me and my boyfriend stopped by for brunch. There was a short wait and they were pretty crowded. We started with the blueberry hush puppies which were really nice with the butter and compote. On their own they were good but didn't have much flavor. I ordered the breakfast of champions and really enjoyed the eggs, bacon and home fries. The French toast was good but not my favorite. It was kind of bland. Over all it was a good breakfast and I'd like to come back and try some of the other dishes.

Yelp
This was better than expected! Breakfast on a Thursday and it was packed. Lots of tables so they can accommodate many people inside and outside patio. My omelette was delicious along with fresh fruit... mmmmm! Hubby wanted a western omelette however it was only offered as a skillet. Our server took care of him and got it all in an omelette. Happy Hubby. They have fresh squeezed orange juice which is delicious, and I loved their mugs. Loved them so much I bought 2 to take home. They have a great selection but it was selling fast. Good vibes, good food, loud and fast paced, family friendly. Everything looked so good. Can't wait to try more.

Yelp
Visiting Myrtle Beach. Decided to try Blueberry's Grill. Food was so good we went a second time. Tried to go again and this time it was packed out (Saturday morning). We will miss you Blueberry! NEXT TIME!
google avatar

Jenni F.

Yelp
One of the best eating experiences- must try the Chipotle sauce, a Blueberry Mimosa, and the Ceab Benedict- yummmmm

Yelp
This spot was perfect! Whether you want indoor or outdoor seating they have both! Food was just what we were looking for. An amazing brunch with the cutest decor! Will be back!

Yelp
We came here for breakfast and it was packed. We had a party of ten so we have to join the waitlist. The wait wasn't that bad only 35 minutes and our waitress was very nice. Lots of options on the menu. Also make sure you get coffee or a cocktail. We ordered the blueberry hushpuppies and they were so tasty. We got the chicken and waffles and it comes with there bottle of warm syrup and the waffles batter was good. The chicken strips were good chicken meat no rubber. The hey blueberry omelette was good I recommend getting the sour cream and salsa on the side that way if you like the salsa you can pour it on top. We also got the chicken sausage and avocado harissa and hummus which was good the chicken sausage was okay. The place is packed and very clean. The noise level is not that bad even if they are slammed.

Yelp
Be ready to wait in line or get your name on the list, the food is always good and the service as well. We have been here for breakfast a couple of times and tried different things. All

Yelp
I could not recommend this place enough, we went with a group of 4 and all were raving by the end. The atmosphere is a classic busy brunch vibe, the server was the nicest guy we could have gotten. And the best part, the food! It was Saint Patrick's weekend so they had the lucky charms specially latte, I did non alcoholic and I am a black coffee drinker but this was amazing. Not too sweet surprisingly but delicious. For the chickens and waffles, some of the best I have ever had. Waffles were fluffy but with structure and chicken was juicy and flavorful. We live in DC but if we were closer I would easily be a weekend regular.

Yelp
I will say, this place was a recommendation from a friend back home and once I made my trip to Myrtle Beach, this was a restaurant I needed to seek out. The food was amazing to say the least. I love the ambience of the inside, gives me good southern comfort vibes. Had a breakfast scramble and a mango mimosa. I would love to come back to visit just to go to this place again. The wait staff was great and welcoming. it was pretty easy to place a reservation, I called ahead a few days just to make sure but it also gives you the option online as well. For any of their locations.

Yelp
My experience at Blueberry's was good, but nothing special. The wait time was long, and we enjoyed our meals but I would say the food isn't worth the hype- Although, we didn't order a "blueberry favorite", so I might feel differently if I ordered one of the dishes they are known for! Service was great and the outdoor seating was very nice, with misters too, which is great for a hot day.

Yelp
We decided to try Blueberry's for breakfast as a break from the drive for donuts. Before I get started reviewing make sure you take advantage of the waitlist feature here on Yelp, it's a life saver. When I think breakfast I think greasy spoon diners personally. Eggs and biscuits covered in gravy, so Blueberry's was a little different than I would typically have went with. I definitely mean that in a good way. My wife went with the traditional blueberry pancakes and they did not disappoint. Fluffy, fresh blueberries with a touch of sweetness and tartness. My youngest son went with the plain Jane French toast with powdered sugar. My other son went with the chicken and waffles, I ate the waffles. Both dishes were fantastic. The French toast may have been the best I've ever tried, and the waffles were fluffy with a slight crisp. I can't speak for the chicken except to say my picky 12 year old finished it before I had a chance to ask for a taste. I have the "Jungle" skillet. It had potatoes, mushrooms, jalapeños, bacon and kielbasa with an avocado crème and hollandaise sauce on the side. As I said earlier I'm a greasy, heavy breakfast guy but this was pretty light and refreshing. The avocado and hollandaise sauce paired well together and I ended up satisfied and full, we all did. The crowds can be daunting and if you don't get on the list you may end up waiting upwards of 45 minutes, but it is definitely worth the wait. I'd recommend Blueberry's to anyone staying in the Myrtle Beach area.

Yelp
Our server Jameson took very good care of us. I was torn between a couple of items when ordering. My shrimp and grits tasted delicious, with the Bloody Mary sauce. Unfortunately the grits were thin, grainy and undercooked to my taste. Otherwise we had no complaints. DH really loved his authentic corned beef hash.

Yelp
My wife and I met up with my niece and my brother for brunch. This restaurant was very busy so we were waitlisted, which went quickly. Finally gets getting seated and are orders put in, food started being delivered to the table relatively fast. Beyond this restaurant is very nice. They have indoor and outdoor seating. All the food looked and tasted very good. My wife thought that the granola and Chobani was magnificent. I ordered "The traditional" which was two eggs to order with bacon with home fries. The home fries were home as well as the remainder of the breakfast.

Denise H.

Yelp
The chicken sausage, avocado on sour dough and eggs, outstanding!!! Grilled blueberry muffin-unspeakable joy! Staff were wonderful!!
google avatar

Olivia G.

Yelp
Service was great, food was okay. The only thing that was really worth while to me was the blueberry hush puppies. Perfectly crispy on the outside but soft and warm on the inside with a great dipping sauce. The Bloody Mary mix wasn't my favorite either. The home fries were good but my omelette was just okay.
google avatar

Jessica W.

Yelp
Terrible, we say right in front of the door where they were washing dishes, in front of where they dumped their food. Flys were flying everywhere and it took our server 15 minutes to come to our table after we had been sat. Now, the manager did see that and gave us some blueberry hush puppies due to us waiting so long, but everything was terrible from food, where we sat, service, constantly watching food get dumped, flies flying everywhere and having to fan food. It was absurd. I will never come back, if we decide ti visit Myrtle beach again. It was definitely over hyped. Never again. If I could give a -10 I would.
google avatar

Sybil S.

Yelp
Service is great, food is mid at the best. We waiting for an hour and I would've been better off cooking. The biscuits and gravy were old stale biscuits and the gravy was weird. The bacon crumbled when I picked it up because it was overcooked. French toast was great. Eggs were cold. Grits was gritty and cold.
google avatar

Jessica J.

Yelp
The crab cake benedict is a must. The twist to this benedict is that it has a fried green tomato on it. The tomato added to the consistency of the food. Our waitress was very friendly. If you like large portions and good food, you should stop down to the Blueberry Grill.
google avatar

Amanda M.

Yelp
Delicious breakfast spot if are visiting Myrtle Beach!!! I can't wait to go back!! Our server was super friendly and attentive and gave some great suggestions on hat we should try! I had the cinnamon roll French toast which i must say was perfect, not too sweet and light and fluffy! The regular French toast was amazing as well! Sometimes i wish i could just have both lol! I also loved their breakfast potatoes were well seasoned and crispy! We had a great table outside that was covered by an umbrella for shade.
google avatar

Ciara H.

Yelp
Blueberry's is one of my favorite places Togo when I'm in the mood for a sweet brunch. Service is always great and the place is usually lively! They have a wide variety of mimosas and cocktails
google avatar

Solmaz C.

Yelp
We were on the waitlist and we had to wait 25 minutes past our time to get in. The hostess blamed it on a big party in front of us. Yet, she kept sitting parties of 3-4 ahead of us. They could have moved two tables together to accommodate but she didn't. Then as we sit down, we waited 10 minutes before even one server came and acknowledged us. Usually this place does a good job but very disappointed today.
google avatar

Yelp
This was a nice clean breakfast place . I had the delicious sweet potatoes pancakes . The atmosphere was nice and family friendly. It has a nice variety menu with things I would love to go back and try . The service was great our servers was nice .
google avatar

Antwynette R.

Yelp
Everything was great..service, food, and coffee! The grilled blueberry muffin was excellent! The grits were wonderful, and corn beef was tender. Dublin omelet was good, but took a star off because corn beef was skimpy.
google avatar

Melanie M.

Yelp
You have to try this place. A little pricey but worth every penny. We split a monte cristo and an order of blueberry hush puppies. A-mazing food!! The restaurant has a small dining room inside but we opted to sit outside under an umbrella. It was crowded and pretty loud inside. Our waitress Hailey Lynn was so sweet and very efficient.
google avatar

Kim A.

Yelp
This was an amazing breakfast!! We had crème brûlée French toast, eggs Benedict and banana French toast. Our breakfast was so good I didn't have time to take a pic. WARNING reservations are required!
google avatar

Carrie B.

Yelp
Great place to grab a great breakfast on vacation. Plan ahead - long wait but it is worth it!!
google avatar

Keshia C.

Yelp
The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I was disappointed with the drink selections. They sounded great, but all of them were way too sweet or watered down. As a bourbon and mezcal chick, I don't like high sugar content cocktails. This was one of the dining spots my Myrtle Beach native friend recommended while we were in town for a coworker reunion. She didn't go wrong with this one!!! They quickly accommodated our party of 7 + 1 baby, which I appreciated. Many restaurants give you a hard time with parties of this size, especially if not everyone is on site and ready to be seated. Our waitress was great!! Wish I remembered her name so she got recognized, but I can almost not remember what I ate so let me type fast. Everyone ordered something different and it was ALL good!!! I had the lobster skillet w/ extra hollandaise sauce. It was flavorful (could have had more, but it was good enough) and filling. Normally I don't eat my entire entree, but that one didn't stand a chance. My friends had the breakfast platter, pork belly skillet, one one the grilled breakfast sandwiches, some type of hash dish, and I can't remember the rest. Everyone raved at how their food was. We left a very happy group of women and and an even happier baby!!! Would recommend if in the MB area!!!

Doug G.

Yelp
Food is great but... WARNING...WARNING...WARNING Putting your name on the waitlist at the restaurant does NOT guarantee your position on the list. We put our name on the list at 11:30 am and were told we had a 1-1/2-hour wait, we were told to be back at 1:00 pm but to keep checking on our phone for text messages confirming our time. So we hung around in the shopping center. We received no text messages. We returned 15 minutes earlier than our 1:00 pm time and found that we were #5 on the list. We returned again at 12:55 pm and were shocked to be told that we were now 31st on the list . How could this be, we asked the hostess. We were told, without much concern for our frustrations, that reservations made on Yelp were put at the TOP of the waitlist. The ONLY waitlist that matters, apparently, is the Yelp list. We were finally seated, after a lot of "expressed dissatisfaction", around 2:00 pm BEWARE!
google avatar

Yelp
Great food, service, ambiance!!! Best gluten free waffle ever- best waffle for that matter!!
google avatar

Samantha S.

Yelp
This place came highly recommended during our visit in Myrtle Beach. The wait was about 30 minutes and we were seated immediately after. Our waitress provided recommendations to try. The pancakes are a great size and enough to fill you up. They also have a great drink menu. They offer something for everyone. The sweet potatoe pancakes and chicken sausage were my favorite. The Inteior and ambiance gives a diner feel.
google avatar

Michele I.

Yelp
Great food, the blueberry pancakes with blueberry syrup was to die for. The fresh squeezed orange juice was wonderful. It is a busy place and I can see why as the food is really good. Service was efficient. Would highly recommend.
google avatar

Carolyn B.

Yelp
I loved the decore, great food, and kind staff. We ordered the blue berry pancakes, fresh orange juice, and eggs benedict.
google avatar

Lisa M.

Yelp
This is my second visit here. They have a lovely, shaded outdoor eating area with fans so even on a warm day, it's bearable to eat outside. I know from my previous visit that this place can get busy and have a long wait. Today, I put my name in online to avoid a wait, though on arrival, it probably wasn't necessary. Both times that I've come I've ordered the same meal: shrimp n grits, hot sauce on the side. They're obviously very good and repeatable with no complaints! The Bloody Mary *looked splendid but was all show, no wow factor, so would not order that again. The mimosa flights are fun though :). Previously, we came as a party of four (two being locals) and all were pleased with their meals that visit too. Pics posted are a combination of both visits. Service was efficient enough (plenty of folks on hand) but my server did return my credit card and say it was declined, "maybe there's a hold on it?"? I checked my account where there was no obvious issue and asked the gal to rerun. She did, and without issue. I'm not sure what was up with that, but made for an awkward moment. Overall, good experience and good food; would definitely return.
google avatar

Kishore S.

Yelp
Food was great. They had variety and also options for vegetarians. Their service was OK. Biggest issue is the outside seating and wait times. They took our name and said it's going to be 2 hours, so we started looking for alternatives but then we got text within 45 minutes. One outside section had mist and fans but we got the backside seating which didn't have one and it got crazy hot.
google avatar

Daniel C.

Yelp
Food was very good but the service was lacking. Weren't asked by our server if we needed anything while at our table. We had to ask for refills, napkins, condiments, and one order was in correct. Recommend trying the blueberry hush puppies and the blueberry muffin and eggs breakfast. The hush puppies were crispy on the outside and served with a nice blueberry compote. The muffin was super soft and griddled a little. Coffee was also very nice, good medium roast and no harsh qualities. We will try again, but might need to wait until the off season.
google avatar

Julia F.

Yelp
This was recommended by all of our Uber drivers as the best place to try for breakfast/brunch during our weekend stay. Walked (easy 15 min walk) from our beachfront hotel for brunch- joined waitlist before we left and easily checked in for a short wait when we arrived. A very friendly waitress took care of us and we ordered a table full of dishes; everything was delicious. I got the flight of mimosas (apple cider, pear, regular and cotton candy) which was delicious. Great playlist going and the place was very busy, clean and bright. They have outdoor seating on the side of building, but we opted to sit indoors so our hungover selves could recuperate a bit... Definitely recommend.
google avatar

Tammy Y.

Yelp
The best, chicken and waffles I've ever had. The waffles were perfect. The chicken was tender, yet crunchy seasoned breading. Definitely my fav breakfast spot in Myrtle beach.
google avatar

Hannah F.

Yelp
Blueberry's grill is a staple in the Myrtle beach brunch scene & for good reason. With a variety of things to choose from, from their homemade blueberry muffins to omelets and French toast there is something for everyone. I got their cinnamon roll French toast, which was covered in a cream cheese frosting, whipped cream, strawberries, blueberries & figs. It was delicious & not overly sweet. I will say if you want to eat here be prepared to wait. No matter which location I've gone to and what time/day I have had to wait at least an hour for a table.
google avatar

Dawn M.

Yelp
Everything we had was amazing! The drinks, bloody Maria, sooo good! Month cristo was soooo goooey and perfect Fluffy pancakes Pork belly was on point!! Benedict's and omelets perfect- Great service- this is our new spot!!!
google avatar

Patrick B.

Yelp
Yes, recommend! We obviously liked it a lot as we visited three times during our trip. Great food and service every time. You can tell the place is well managed, and there is a very large staff of people so service is quick. Ambiance is also great. Good, good, and good. Pro Tip: use Yelp to get into the wait-queue. You'll need it.
google avatar

Tracy K.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and service. The most tasty blueberry crème brûlée French toast. Oddly they only have 2 single bathrooms that I saw and the line was always long to get in.
google avatar

Deb M.

Yelp
Great food Lovely outdoor seating Service excellent Lots of variety on the menu including lunch and breakfast items Healthy menu options

Yelp
This is a must stop for my wife and I when we come to Myrtle. The service is always top notch and the food is delicious. This time I ordered Bananas Foster French toast and fell in love. This is one of the best French toast breakfasts I've ever eaten. Can't wait to come back.
