"If you want to drink where the bartenders on this guide drink, come to Bluebird. It’s an energetic, retro-ish cocktail lounge in the 11th that looks like the deck of a cruise ship from the ‘60s, with wood paneling, multi-colored light fixtures, and an aquarium in the back. The drinks on the menu change every month, and are categorized as savory, salty, bitter, etc., which helps when you don’t exactly know what you have a taste for. There’s no food and only one table inside—the rest of the bar is full of stools along the wall, so it’s best for a quick drink after work or late at night after dinner." - tanisha townsend

I love it. I had already been there 2y ago, during my previous trip to Paris, and I kept a very nice memory. I have been now and again the cocktails were very good and the people super friendly. I feel home every time I go. Thanks guys!

WOW what a concept for a cocktail bar!!! The idea behind the mystery menu is that you focus on the flavors so your are pushed out of your comfort zone- they don’t tell you what is in the drink but the flavor notes and strength of each drink. Bartender went above and beyond and we’re so friendly that the entire experience was amazing we have to go back.

Google
Intimate cocktail bar in Paris with fantastic drinks and even better service. Menu is interesting- it doesn’t list ingredients but sort of lists themes by country inspiration and type of drink (eg boozier, richer, etc). Truly some of the best cocktail bartenders I have seen anywhere in terms of hospitality. They really made me feel at home while stopping in by myself while on a work trip. They were also very helpful at suggesting cocktails not on the menu based on my comments and preferences. Will definitely come back next time I am in town!

One of our friends’ favorite spots. We had a good time there. Like the surprise effect of the cocktail menu that it gives you an overall sense of what it may taste like but not sharing what’s in it. Also we had a nice chat with bartender Nico who provided us some native Italian tips for one of our upcoming trip. Thank you Nico!

Google
I really liked the drinks and their menu's layout that categorizes them based on strength and flavor! The bartender from Canada was super nice and engaging and I loved learning about absinthe from him; another bartender was also super nice. The place has a great 60s/70s vibe—the fish tank was great to watch, and I really liked how the bathroom also had mod decor.

A lovely place for a few really nice cocktails! We arrived without a reservation and we’re met by welcoming staff. They were exceptionally kind, spoke to us in English and explained the drinks menu. The atmosphere is lovely and has the vibe of a speakeasy. If we were in Paris for longer, we would have loved to visit this bar more. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

I came here for a drink with my wife. The place is a bit small and I think one would wish a bit more comfortable seatings available, as there's only one cosy corner with an aquarium where three people, maybe four, can seat. Otherwise, there are only high chairs. There are some outdoor seats. The cocktail menu is original as its in the form of a map. The list of ingredients is not provided, only the traits of the drink. There aren't many cocktails and none are mainstream, but that's the point. If you wish, you can talk to the bartenders. They are very friendly and of you tell them what you like, they can come up with something just for you.

Yelp
This is my new favorite cocktail bar in Paris. The staff is so welcoming and doesn't make you feel intimidated, which is huge for me at cocktail bars. All of the drinks we had were fabulous and so unique and subtle. This will probably be my new top recommendation in Paris, just keep in mind that the space is not super large and they will meet you at the front to find a seat for you, so if you have a big group, you may have to wait a few moments.

Yelp
My last night in Paris, I had the absolute pleasure of hitting up Bluebird with some locals and loved every minute of it! The atmosphere is a groovy blues bar playing some choice indie reggae tunes and serving up delicious (albeit a tad pricey) cocktails. When you're exploring a new place or even spots on your own home turf, you want to go for a true overall experience - and this was it. It is better for smaller groups of 2-4 as it is a hole-in-the-wall type of joint. The facilities are clean and well maintained, and the staff are great too. :)

Yelp
Now I haven't been to every bar in Paris, but I've been to many, and this place outranks every single one by a landslide. I'm absolutely obsessed with BlueBird. It's funky, friendly, quaint, and all around enjoyable. Pedro took care of us all night and what a delight that was. He's originally from Spain, now lives in Paris, and has only been bartending for four years. I'm not kidding, he was born to do this. His personality shines and his mixology skills are an art piece. The menu might seem hefty, average cocktail costing around €13, but the quality and quantity of booze make it beyond worthwhile. I just can't say enough good things about the staff and bar. It's incredible. The entrance of BlueBird is smoke free, but head to the back behind the fish tank and you'll find the smoke room. Very laid back room with a couple tables and awesome ventilation system. No smoke clouds or smells, so it's even enjoyable for non smokers. The back also has a one person restroom. Very clean. The toilet paper is PINK! Ha. I can't wait to travel back to Paris and make it a priority to visit this place. Big shout out to the incredible staff for taking amazing care.

Yelp
BlueBird is a funky, colorful bar tended by friendly staff in dreads. As soon as my friend and I sat down at the bar, we received a warm smile and two glasses of water. We were waiting for another friend and the bar was filling up, but the bartender encouraged us to take our time in choosing our cocktails and refilled our water glasses in the meantime. It was a tough choice! The two-page menu showcased inventive cocktails between 10€ and 14€ for a variety of tastes: while one concoction featured St. Germain and beetroot juice, another resembled a salad, mixing ingredients such as basil and balsamic. If nothing suits your fancy, they'll be happy to whip something up to your liking. My friend explained what she was looking for, and in under ten minutes our kind bartender produced the perfect drink for her. All were well doused in alcohol--after two rounds we were done for the night (despite balancing the drinks with glasses of water). The ambiance was as trendy as the bar staff, with a giant fish tank across from the bar, a fully enclosed smoking room behind that, and further down the hallway, a clean restroom with mirrored ceiling. The music was top notch, with selections from 1950s jazz to modern Bonobo, but it was far too loud. There weren't too many clients throughout the night (and the interior is small), but we had trouble talking over the music and our ears were still ringing the next day.

Yelp
Had the best drink ever here!!! The bartender, the guy who travels a lot, can't remember his name. Was amazing and very friendly. We did shots for my birthday! He told us great traveling stories as he mixed our drinks. Very low key bar, but had the best time here due to the friendly staff and amazing cocktails!

Yelp
Oh Paris. Oh the trendy parts of Paris. So much to like. Cool restaurants like Clamato and Septime. What not to like though? Well all the bars/cocktail bars that won't serve you a drink without eating food and a reservation. Well thankfully this isn't one of those. A cool decor with fun menu and friendly bartenders. Could fit in with the cocktail bars in Brooklyn although the cocktails are a little weak (although not sweet). As mentioned a great choice while waiting for some of the restaurants in the area.

Yelp
Do yourself a favor and visit bluebird. Quality 1 is the staff. This team enjoys each others company and it shows in the atmosphere they generate. The bartender, manager and barback are all incredibly enjoyable people and even gave us a bunch of recommendations for places to visit on the rest of our journey. The friendly considerate nature of this crew just reinforces the fact that Parisienne are some of the kindest and friendliest people on earth. Would definitely send friends here.
