Phenomenal fresh seafood and elevated dishes, especially the Shrimp and Grits. All the dishes were so well presented and delicious. Cozy indoor seating, perfect for the cooler evening. Our server and hostess were so friendly and pleasant to chat with. Highly recommended!

Google
My personal favorite restaurant at rehobeth! Their she crab soup is something that I still miss after traveling back home and the shrimp and grits was awesome as well! My friend enjoyed her crab cake and the outside area was very uniquely decorated with a fireplace in the middle, a good place for extroverted people to hang out while the inside is more elegant and private. A great experience, although I wish there were heaters outside or they would leave the fireplace on because it did get quite cold once it was cloudy. Nonetheless awesome food!

We visited for lunch after looking for a nice restaurant on our route. It was a hit. My husband had the seafood stew; loaded with shrimp, mussels, clams, lobster and cod with a flavorful red broth it was available with pasta but he asked for bread instead, pasta would have been too heavy. I had the lunch special of blackened NC swordfish served over a mix of farro, corn, tomatoes, watermelon, feta, and watercress. All the produce was locally sourced. We had to share the peach (local) crisp with blueberry coulis and locally made vanilla ice cream. All of the food was delicious, service was efficient, friendly, and pleasant. Restroom was very clean. The atmosphere was very nice. It was very hot outside but cool and comfortable inside. The plantings and outside seating looked very attractive.

We were able to get seated with no wait on a summer Saturday night - that was a win! I really enjoyed my crab imperial baked shrimp and would definitely get that again. The kids portion of salmon, green beans, and fries was bigger than I expected (good thing!) but the salmon was a bit dry and bland. The service was fine, nothing exceptional. Plenty of parking at this location, lively ambiance with both indoor and outdoor seating. All in all a good dining experience. Kid-friendliness: kids menu, crayons and coloring sheet, diaper changing table, plastic cup with straw for water

Google
First time, we have a great time trying different kind dishes. Lux samplers are fresh! Buttermilk calamari is so great.

Google
We started off with the wing appetizer - unique flavors, so we had to try them! They were a hit!! The miso salmon bowl was very flavorful!! Portion size for price could have been a bit mor balanced, but the service was excellent and the atmosphere was too! The peach cobbler was very tasty and is enough to share!

First time trying this restaurant. Overall very good. Appetizer (bluecoast fries) tasted good but disappointed that it seems to be made with canned crab. Delicious bread served before dinner. Waitress Danielle E was amazing, very knowledgeable. Definitely knew the menu very well.

Google
Bluecoast has a great atmosphere with delicious food and drinks, and we only had appetizers! The deviled eggs were so good! We will definitely be back to try entrees.

Yelp
I've been coming to Bluecoast in Rehoboth Beach since 2019, and it's consistently great. Their happy hour is one of the best in the area -- good drinks, solid food, and prices that make it easy to settle in for a few rounds of oysters. The live music always adds something extra without being over the top, and the whole place has that relaxed, beach-town energy that makes you want to stay awhile. Staff is friendly, atmosphere is easygoing, and it's become one of those spots I just keep coming back to. Highly recommend if you're near the coast and want something dependable with a little edge.

Yelp
The Lewes/Rehoboth/Bethany towns (what the locals refer to as "SoDel") have in recent years, become my preferred destination to vacation when I want to be near the coast. Was in the area recently for a weekend getaway, and my group decided to stop into perennial favorite, Bluecoast Seafood Grill and Raw Bar. This restaurant group also has a location in Bethany Beach (https://www.yelp.com/biz/bluecoast-seafood-grill-and-raw-bar-bethany-beach-2?osq=bluecoast+seafood) which has a slightly nicer ambiance, but I prefer the food at their Rehoboth outpost. Right off busy Route 1 (Coastal Highway), Bluecoast Seafood has both a wonderful ENCLOSED outdoor patio, as well as spacious indoor dining room. The decor definitely gives off a "beachy" vibe with a mostly white color scheme, lots of windows for natural lighting, and nautical themed artwork on the walls. We all started with a round of the SoDel favorite, a "crush." Most restaurants/bars have some version of this beverage, but at Bluecoast the seasonal drink was a mix of orange and grapefruit vodka, orange slice, and soda water. TBH, I think it's just "okay," but my general philosphy is "do as the locals do." I'm glad our server recommended the house deviled eggs, since the table absolutely devoured them! I'm already a big fan of this classic appetizer, but this version was excellent Nicely boiled eggs, were filled with creamy savory egg yolks and then topped with crab meat and pickled onions. Two words: umami bomb. Slight miss on the cocktail shrimp. While the shrimps were indeed "jumbo" and cooked and then chilled properly, I'm not sure $16 for four pieces is value dining in this current era. My fish and chips was tasty. The true test of any deep fried food, especially seafood is whether it has a greasy after taste, and this dish did not. The batter was light and not thick, while the fish was moist and not overly salty. The sides were excellent, and enhanced the dish. The pickles had a nice briny and slightly spicy flavor, while the cole slaw was crispy and not doused in mayo. Double cooked fries were also not soggy. Ask for extra ketchup and house tarter sauce...and thank me later. Service was prompt and friendly. We were greeted within 3 minutes off being seated, and were constantly (but not obtrusively) checked on throughout the meal. Water glasses were filled when low, and dirty dishes cleared when appropriate. If you're vacationing in SoDel, stopping by Bluecoast Seafood Grill and Raw Bar, is always a good dining option.

Yelp
So, Bluecoast seafood grill. I didn't know about this place until recently and I'm glad I've discovered it. The service is excellent, the waitress was polite and just the right amount of attentive. Runners were good, made sure we had everything we needed when we needed it. Food came out fast, and it was spectacular. The ambiance is so pleasant! We ate outside, got to enjoy the patio with their fans, the light music just playing loud enough to enjoy but not interrupting conversation. Yes its a little loud, the booths are close together but you can still hear your conversation. So, lets talk food last. Absolutely spectacular, the appetizers were scrumptious we got the imperial crab dip and calamari. My friend and I split some oysters which were delicious through and through. Now, lets move in to the mains, my main was wonderful. I got the tuna noodle dish (I forget the name right now) it was wonderful! It was sweet, a little spicy and the tuna was cooked just to the degree i wanted. I asked for rare and I got a perfect rare, I am over the moon. Great food, great place, 5/5 easy, I'll be back.

Yelp
I really enjoy this place and it has grown on me. I've been here a couple of times in the past 2 weeks... The last time was really good. Had the calamari as an appetizer and the crab cakes that I really enjoyed. Started with an old fashioned (2), then switched over to some red wine. The cookies at dessert are just too dry, sorry....The time before the tuna appetizer was also on the dry side. Overall, im satisfying and will be back once again.

Yelp
As you can see from my past nine reviews this is one of my top five favorite restaurants for off season happy hour. We were here with family and friends before 4 PM when customers were already waiting on line to enter the restaurant for happy hour. We scored the two tables to the left of the entrance, when we entered. I started with my papa margarita with salt and pineapple martini. We enjoyed our dozen of Chunu raw oysters. We also shared and enjoyed a bottle of Balletto Chardonnay for half price or only $27. I also enjoyed my tuna poke for $16. My total bill for both of us was $108 excluding gratuity. Zoe M. served us very well. We all agreed we will continue to return here for the off season happy hour.

Yelp
first time to bluecoast seafood! the food there was pretty good! we tried more east coast oysters! the service was pretty good for accomodating quite a few of us in our family ambiance was this air conditioned eatery for all things seafood

Yelp
I will begin with the qualification that I was here for Oyster Fest June 2025. So my experience is with their outdoor service and a variety of seafood vendors there. The Oyster Fest was an 85 dollar affair for all you can eat oysters. This included raw oysters, ceviche, seafood salads and a "boardwalk" style french fry bar. The food variation was quite impressive but, to be perfectly honest, I wish that there had been more than one purveyor of raw oysters. With that beings said, the raw oysters were excellent. The bartenders, who were actually employees of the restaurant, were remarkably efficient with taking orders and getting drinks out. Considering things were a bit chaotic (the first part of the festival was quite rainy), they did a remarkable job. I did get a chance to look into their restaurant and found it looked like a lovely place to grab a meal. Ideally one that contained even more raw oysters. I plan on returning on a non-festival day.

Yelp
I chose this place for an early dinner on a Sunday because the reviews were so good. This place did not disappoint!!! Everything was amazing. We started with an oyster sampler and a caeser salad and both were very good. For entrees we order the fried lobster tails, crab cakes, and shrimp and grits. Everything was a 10/10. Big shout out to Erick for the recommendations. Service was phenomenal. Great place for a date or family dinner. Definitely recommend :)

Yelp
Best Rehoboth Beach Happy Hour! Delicious happy hour food and drink specials (daily 4 - 6 pm) on the patio with friendly staff and quality live music? Upscale and beautifully decorated too? Sign us up! Fresh seafood and local produce abound as well as lots of other selections. Award-winning wines as well as a huge selection of tantalizing cocktails await. I can't wait to return!

Yelp
Stopped by for happy hour on Saturday and was able to easily find a seat at the bar. It's a fairly large restaurant with some outdoor seating and an outdoor bar as well. They have a wide array of beers and most of them were $2 off. We got some $1 happy hour oysters and they were so fresh and briny we had to order a second dozen. We also tried the calamari, wings and gumbo which were all pretty good and a few dollars off the regular menu price. The service was great. Can't wait to return for dinner one day.
google avatar

Charles H.

Yelp
Come tonight. Sit at the bar. Let John serve you and see what genuine, sincere and personable service looks like. Crab dip is good, not quite enough crab. You're welcome.
google avatar

Alexandra N.

Yelp
You can't go wrong with the salmon and what must have been fried rice (ordered takeout so can't quite remember what it was) but regardless I enjoyed the fresh seafood!
google avatar

Yelp
5 stars in every way! Casual elegance with indoor and outdoor dining, inviting spaces to eat with couch booths and chairs, nice bar area. The service and the food are all EXCELLENT! Party of 8, we dined on a variety of appetizers and entrees. APPS: Pimento crab cheese dip with old bay spiced chips was amazing! As were the deviled eggs, seafood gumbo and hummus platter. Dinner we had burrata salads, shrimp & grits, Thai tempura shrimp bowls, and I can't remember what else everyone had but ALL 8 of us left raving about our dinners. One was better than the next! Our server as well as the food runners were all super nice & very attentive. We will definitely dine here again next time we visit. We've been out to eat at a lot of places in a week and this is on a short list of places we look forward to returning to.

Yelp
As always, BlueCoast delivers a great dining experience. We started with some fresh oysters, then moved onto the baked pimento crab dip. This wasn't my favorite, but it was good. For my meal, I chose to get the peel and eat sheimp with the local greens salad. The salad was nicely dressed, and the Sherry vinaigrette was very flavorful. Other members of my party ordered the shrimp and grits, which was so good that there was nothing left. My daughter got the scallop pad Thai and she really enjoyed it. The service was on point and the noise wasn't too bad. Always a fun time when we are in town.

Dawn B.

Yelp
Was greeted and seated quickly. Felt rushed and food was just ok. I doubt I will go back. There are a lot of better restaurants around.
google avatar

Nicole D.

Yelp
After shopping at the nearby outlets I was looking for a quick bite to eat. I am so glad I found this place! It was relatively quiet (it was the off season for tourist!) and our server was super attentive. I ordered a Cesar salad with a crab cake. I was surprised by the large anchovy as I had expected smaller pieces, but this is definitely a preference thing. Plus when I ordered they asked whether I wanted it included or not. So don't worry if it's not your thing. The salad itself was tasty and hit the spot. As for the crab cake, I could've eaten another it was so good. Keep in mind, during certain times of year (when they're not as busy) they'll offer discounts off your meal during certain days/times so it's worth looking into to find out when this is happening.
google avatar

Julian W.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing! We tried their homemade soda and they were very flavorful, not overpowered by carbonation at all. We started with their deviled eggs, crab dip, and a charcuterie board (part of the special that week as were the stuffed shrimp). The apps were good but the deviled eggs are some of the best I've had! The entrees were well presented and tasted excellent. Our server was attentive and informative. The interior felt spacious and was well-lit. Will definitely return!

Anthony G.

Yelp
Staff at the bar. Were loud and obnoxious Manager did nothing. We left without eating. Not a place for quiet diner. We wil never return
google avatar

Tim Y.

Yelp
Great midweek meal. The cocktails were good and stiff hats off to bartender. Starter of crispy calamari. Tuesday tuna poke bowl special was a hit as was the miso salmon over fried rice.
google avatar

April L.

Yelp
Delicious happy hour. *loved the house margarita! Tried the salty kiss virginia buck a shuck oysters and they were outrageously good. The stand out happy hour dish was the fried rice. I opted for the scrabbled egg version. So good! Happy hour from 4-6 at bar and high top tables. Highly recommend!

Ang L.

Yelp
I have been a customer of blue coast for a few years now and every time I come they do not disappoint!! The daily fish board menu is amazing. I had the grilled salmon from chile last night and it was the freshest fish I've ever had. The oysters were to die for. The service and staff were very accommodating due to it being cold we had heated outside dining. I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys coastal dining, entertainment, drinks, and of course food!!! 100/100 !!!! Keep it up blue coast
google avatar

Ken A.

Yelp
Food and service were both exceptional! It's a little on the higher side, as far as price, but it was pretty awesome.

Mia V.

Yelp
Food was fantastic! Don't forget to save room for dessert the coconut cream pie is outrageously good! Everything we had was excellent. Server was great.
google avatar

Lauren W.

Yelp
Beautiful place! Modern and decorated very classy. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and put on the waiting list. Only was on the list for about 10 min before we were seated. The dining room is very loud - so please be cautious of this if you are with people who are hard of hearing or don't like loud noises. I ordered the pasta with clams, my husband had the pork chops with grits and greens, and my stepson had the kids salmon. My pasta was fantastic and had a little kick to it. One of the best clam pastas I have ever had!! My husband felt that his pork chop was a little under cooked, but the grits and greens were very good with some sweetness to them. Someone at our table also ordered the passion fruit tart, and it was amazing!! I would definitely come back.

Cele M.

Yelp
So Del restaurants are always a great experience plus this one takes reservations! The fish selections are always well presented!

Hopeanne L.

Yelp
Enjoyed the most amazing local salad. Server was attentive and over all it was a very good experience. Honestly can't recall what else I had but that salad was memorable!!
google avatar

Cassidy F.

Yelp
My fiance and I popped into Bluecoast for a happy hour bite and ended up staying for dinner since our apps were so delicious, and the bartenders were so amazing! Lindsey and John took such great care of us, kept our drinks full, checked back with every course to make sure we were happy, and they were also a blast to chat with. The bar was super cozy on a chilly Rehoboth night, so it ended up being the perfect date. The food is always great there, but we'll be back to sit with Lindsey and John at the bar again so soon!

Yelp
BlueCoast Seafood Grill is one of those places that you go back to over and over again! There is always a lively vibe during peak hours and this could pose a problem to people who can't hear well or can't talk loudly. This was our 3rd time and it has consistently delivered. Our server, Rebecca, was fantastic and gave us just the right amount of attention. Our group shared the Cocktail shrimp (good but nothing really special) and the finger - licking-good Buffalo cauliflower with the blue cheese cream. The fish and chips was perfectly cooked: crisp without being greasy. The tuna poke was generous and not overly dressed. The roast chicken was moist and delicious and because it was half and chicken, partially deboned I thought my husband was not going to finish it and that I was going to have to eat some of it--NO!!!! One order of the halibut was on the dry side but it didn't seem to bother the person who ordered it. So we count this meal as another good one at Bluecoast!

Shani H.

Yelp
Incredible food and service! Will definitely be coming back. Enjoyed the outdoor seating
google avatar

Eun P.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant with great food. Lobster Cavatappi & Fish and Chips were both delicious and nicely seasoned!

Morgan G.

Yelp
Excellent, friendly staff! Food was average but the staff was so nice, it's worth it. The staff act like they really appreciate each and every customer and cater to them.

Laura F.

Yelp
I did not have a good experience at this restaurant. The jumbo crab cake was actually very small and they charge ten dollars for what amounted to 1/4 cup of soup.

Patricia C.

Yelp
So overrated! ordered a barramundi and a sea bass. 1/4 in thick with 1/2 of that being skin. both pieces were like that. "Whipped" potatoes lol. ice cream scoop of hard, dry potatoes. green beans decent. no presentation. no lemon. been here several times and extremely inconsistent food and service. so done.
google avatar

Alivia D.

Yelp
I wanted to love this place based on the name, reviews and ambiance upon walking in, but overall left disappointed. We were seated on the outdoor patio which I loved. There was an oldies band playing, which wasn't really our cup of tea but I can always appreciate live music. Service and drinks were good, but the food was honestly pretty bad. I found the seafood entree section of the menu to be limited for a seafood restaurant. I almost ordered the scallop pad Thai but wasn't impressed with the photos on Yelp. I ended up ordering the clams bucatini. My first bite of the pasta was sandy, so I picked up a clam and found it totally full of sand. I have never received a clam dish that was so poorly cleaned. The broth was totally flavorless and made for a very bland meal. A few others at the table ordered the same dish and were also not impressed. We chose this restaurant based on the name & reviews but should have looked at the menu before coming. We had a group of seafood lovers and there was not a single entree option for a piece of fish, not even salmon. The outdoor patio is very nicely set up with a stage for live music, but beyond that, I don't have a reason to recommend returning.
google avatar

Kathy T.

Yelp
Came to Bluecoast with my daughter and very much enjoyed both the food and the ambience. Cute place, nice service. I usually don't love mussels or boardwalk fries, but that dish ended up being very tasty! The brussels were awesome too. I'm sure we'll be back next time we're on the Eastern Shore!
google avatar

Leo T.

Yelp
Bluecoast: A very authentic sea-like atmosphere looking great inside and outside. Service: Our server was nice and the food came out in reasonable time. Lemonade- I got the special strawberry lemonade, and it tasted a bit like artificial lemonade powder but it was overall pretty good. Meal- The caesar salad was fresh but a bit underdressed. The peel and eat shrimp was pretty tasty but not the best ever. The shrimp and grits were really good, the shrimp was perfectly cooked and the grits were cheesy and delicious. The salmon was also perfectly cooked, the orzo salad that came with it was fine but nothing special. The pork chops were tasty, along with cheddar grits and collard greens. Overall this place is really good, there are some minor flaws but I would definitely recommend Bluecoast.
google avatar

Sue B.

Yelp
Decent. I arrived at 9 on a Saturday night, they close at 10. I asked about outdoor seating and the hostess suggested sitting at the outdoor bar; sounds great! I ordered a Saison DuPont. It then became clear to me the bartender was over her shift and didn't want me sitting there. I can understand, but it was unpleasant. I had oysters (good), Bluecoast Crab Fries (amazing!), and Caesar salad (meh). The food was decent overall. I might come back on a night where there's live music -- but I'll be sure to come back earlier in the night.

Ruth G.

Yelp
The stuffed shrimp and wings were great. The coconut cream pie was amazing. The fish and chips were good. However, the music on the patio was extremely loud for such a small area. I could barely hold a conversation with my friends. They were also very annoyed by the loudness of the guitarist.
google avatar

Beth P.

Yelp
Stopped again on way to Virginia and once again food was on point John was at the bar and very accommodating when I didn't see fried oysters on the menu I asked and they made them for me Always a treat with very friendly staff and great food Stop by and I'm sure you won't be disappointed

Lauren C.

Yelp
Really great options and good food! Highly recommend. Worth the car trip away from the beach to dine out or get takeaway!
google avatar

Amanda D.

Yelp
Super good joint with great service, wine and a sunny patio. Came here on a sunny Sunday catching with some wine. Even though I wasn't in at the brunch hour, they still treated me attentively. Fantastic backyard bar and outdoor sitting area

Kristen H.

Yelp
Shrimp Imperial 10/10! Coconut pie 10/10. Service was top notch. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Rehoboth

Christina B.

Yelp
We came here right after Matt's Fish Camp the night before (lewes) and not realizing it was in the same restaurant family. I must say Matt's was much better in my book. Bluecoast had more of a raw bar selection but the prices were a bit higher and the ambience catered to a nicer dinner. I got a Caesar salad with blackened mahi, but it had no dressing. They did bring me a side upon request, but after having the same thing at Matt's for cheaper, way larger portion, and reasonably dressed I was disappointed. Rootbeer unfortunately ran out at 7 pm. The calamari tasted fresh and crispy but I do wish it was served with cocktail sauce or marinara in addition to the aioli. The Oysters were great. The clam pasta was enjoyed by the table! Overall a bit overpriced and I'd recommend people just go to Matt's instead if they don't mind a casual atmosphere.

Ken D.

Yelp
This is a very comfortable and welcoming restaurant. The service is always great and the quality of the food is excellent. My only complaint would be with the menu. Other than the fish board, the seafood options seem limited.

Christian S.

Yelp
Wow! We just had a great meal and experience at this place. The oysters were perfectly shucked and very tasty. For the entree I had the fish stew which clearly was made to order because every ingredient was perfectly cooked. My sigo ordered the scallop pad Thai which was delicious. The best part of the experience was our server, Eric. His food recommendations were spot on. He also shared some of his considerable wine knowledge with us. I know a lot about wine but learned so much from him. Thanks Eric for making our meal and experience so enjoyable!

Yelp
We came with my family and parents on a Friday night in off season. The restaurant had plenty of seating. We sat in a large bench style booth which was nicely set up with pillows and even a blanket. I ordered the tuna poke which was pretty spicy. It had pineapple and red pepper flakes, with tortilla chips. The ribs were delicious. I tried the cheddar grits which were so yummy and cheesy. My husband got the blackened tuna which he said was delicious also. I tried it and thought it was amazing with flavor and melt in your mouth fish. The kids got fried shrimp with lots of fries and apples and also the noodles with Parmesan cheese. My daughter was quiet for about 10 min straight eating so safe to say the shrimp was a hit! My Mom got the fried oysters. She said they were flavorful and very good. The drinks were great too. I got the Pom Tini which was great! Tasted like a jolly rancher or fruity drink. Our waitress was great and understanding with two little kiddos. She even remembers us from last year. The ambience is chill, sophisticated and coastal. High ceilings and fun beach themed classy decor. We will definitely be back!

Susanna C.

Yelp
This is my favorite seafood restaurant in the Lewes area. I've been here a few times and each time I've thoroughly enjoyed every dish. May is soft shell crab month at the restaurant chain (part of Sodel). We had the soft shell crab - so good - large fresh and chunky! The other favorite tonight was the Maryland lump crab cake. Filled with crab meat. Cute outdoor porch for dining too.
google avatar

Rachel M.

Yelp
This has become one of our go to spots. We especially love the back patio during the summer months! They have a really nice happy hour and the oysters are always good. Service is usually pretty good too! We came again last night for my daughter's birthday and I would say everything was pretty good. Food was good, not amazing. Service was good, not amazing-I'd have given this 4 stars if we had been asked if we wanted refills on our drinks or another round of adult drinks. Our servicer seemed rushed and overwhelmed. We ended up just getting boxes for our food and decided to not stay for dessert and went somewhere else. I'm sure we will come back for happy hour over the summer months when we are back in town, but this visit was a little disappointing.
