The white guy bartender with the beard was so damn rude for absolutely no reason. As he was looking to serve someone, I put my hand up. He walks over to me and says “wow you’re really gonna make me walk over here? What do you want?” I just dismissed it as him joking and I gave him my drink order. I then turn to my friend to ask his drink order. Then the bartender says “I’m not waiting for this” and walks away. Bro was on some typa ego trip. Nothing warranted that type of attitude. My friends and I were absolutely confused. Took us a min to take in what just happened. We ended up leaving after that. Weren’t even in there 15 mins and that’s the typa service we received.

Simply the best. A great local watering hole, but also rightly voted as the best "soccer" pub on the West Coast. The prices are really really great and the vibe in my honest opinion is fantastic. Can't wait to go back

I've been fortunate enough to visit on my past 2 visits to San Diego - luckily during a premier league weekend. Love this place, can't wait to be back.

Bluefoot is one of the OG, signature dive/sports/late night bars in the North Park area, Open all hours for honestly all occasions throughout the day. Later hours from 8pm til closing they do offer DJ events throughout the week and weekends, although in my opinion their sporting events are more of the worthy visit. For years I have came here to watch soccer/football games and the environment is awesome. Any big soccer matches that are upcoming this is the place to be. MLS, La Liga, Champions League, Premier League, you name it. Drinks are always flowing and bartenders are fast and receptive. Pool tables are also available for those non-match days when one might just want to come on by and have a drink. They don't have a kitchen at the bar but you're allowed to bring in food inside, which is a plus if you're catching lunch nearby. Bluefoot is at the border of the North Park/South Park communities, the bus passes through their venue allowing a quick and cheap way back into North Park, or into South Park where other cool spots for a bite or drink are prevalent.

Great neighborhood vibes! I showed up the night after Christmas with my brother, sister, and dad and we all felt comfy and taken care of. Bartender wouldn't even let me buy a round because my dad was adamant about taking the tab. Wasn't too much trouble to get in on the pool tables. Locals were very friendly and we were making friends for the night. North Park is a vibe! Thank you Bluefoot!

Only for tourists or transplants. There's two great bartenders and the are married all the rest are the worst !!!!!! The bar is a super disappointment. Only the Euros enjoy soccer in the morning. Not a place that locals are welcome. There's a kid from Mount helix that thinks he from Boston he wears a funny little hat and a costume every dayat works.

So we dropped in here after dinner for a few drinks. The vibe is very chill and we did catch a few minutes of the DJ before we left. Seems like a pretty legit spot and will be back if in this area.

Caroline is quite literally the best bartender I've ever had. She is so attentive, makes great drinks and remembers your order so well. She's so welcoming and kind. Love her!

Despite her stand offish appearance in the photo this women was the absolute standard for how a bartender should be to customers at her bar! She Greeted me immediately as I walked in while she was in a small rush and making drinks. She knew all the specialty cocktails and happy hour and she almost could read off the whole beer list to me by heart. I was very impressed! She even mentioned to me about the free pool days b/c I mentioned I'm an avid pool player and was new to the area. This will definitely be my go to bar whenever me and my friends want to drink and have a good time Thank you! (Sorry forgot her name) you were the best!! Spent the morning cheering the rock n roll marathon runners right by the cool stage and my favorite watering hole. Rodney served up not just good drinks but great vibes! He was awesome and reminded me why I miss partying here. The drinks were perfect, his playlist was on point and he made my Sunday funday the best. Keep up the great work Bluefoot!

It's just another dive bar with cheap drinks and pool tables. Dive bars can be hit or miss for me but this one is decent since they have open windows and outdoor seats. A huge bonus is that Underbelly is right across the street! I was frequenting this place when I was seeing a guy over the Summer who always wanted to play pool when we met up. To be fair, I've come back quite a few times after I stopped seeing him whenever I wanted to hang with a friend on a budgety no frills night. This place is cool but I wish they would shift their music to something more alternative on occasion. Every time I go it's always the same 90's r&b and hip hop. Someone in this joint has to be savvy with the aux!

Best bar in San Diego for pool. Great players regularly there during the week. Weekends are definitely fun and busy. Highly recommend the staff is top notch and always show you a good time.

On August 4 2025, I went in on a whim with my friends at like 9and the bouncer Fernando and the bartender (I asked his name 20 times and still can't remember I'm sorry) were the best people I've met in San Diego! Super nice people, if San Diego had to nominate people to represent it, it should be that guy bartender and Fernando. Thank you for making San Diego amazing!

Great staff, beverages, service and vibe not to mention the DJ's and sports! Great pizza from Lefty's down the block puts BF @ 10+!

Pro: drinks are strong and (relatively) affordable Cons: everything else. $5 CASH cover (who carries cash anymore?). Terrible music. I'm sad for my friend - we're here celebrating her 30th birthday expecting a great time and good music. Instead we are upset we had to pay cash cover and have to tolerate terrible music to justify the cash cover at a dive bar. It is 11 PM on a Saturday night - this is not the time or place to experiment music. Play the hits and call it a day, dude. Terribly disappointed. If you're going to charge a cash cover, at least give the people what they know. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Bluefoot has become my favorite bar in San Diego. Daytime, nighttime, it doesn't matter, you're always bound to have a good time. Cover charge usually doesn't start until after 930. It's usually $5. Security guards at the front are always really friendly. The bar itself isn't big, but there's areas made for everyone. 2 pool tables available to play, dance area, chairs to sit by the bar and an outdoor seating area for anyone who wants to smoke. The music in here is ALWAYS good. The DJs know what they're doing. The drinks here are dirt cheap. I've had numerous nights where I've had way too much to drink and my tab only ends up being like $20... shot's included! Phil at the bar is great and always takes care of our group. All bartenders are really friendly. It may take a little long to get a drink sometimes, so when you have a bartenders attention, I recommend getting 2 at a time. Bluefoot is in the heart of north park and right in front of underbelly. Parking can be tricky sometimes. Getting an uber here is not a bad idea. There's plenty of food options after you're done partying. There's a taco shop nearby, Jack in the box is right next door and there's always someone selling some TJ hot dogs outside of the bar (my favorite option). The music, the friendly staff and the cheap drinks keep me coming back. Those hot dogs too. Give bluefoot a visit if you haven't yet! See you next Saturday bluefoot ;)

Been coming to the Bluefoot for years and finally leaving a review! My bf and I walk our dogs from South Park to this little gem. Dog friendly, endless happy hour and the soccer games! Service is fantastic (Rodney is the shit). Easy on the pocketbook, laid back and my favorite bar in North Park.

Awesome dive bar in the best location . Great music with reasonably priced drinks . They always have seating even when busy . Gives you that mini club vibe without dressing up . You literally can go dressed all the way up or down and you'll fit right in . Excellent spot for date night . If you're not getting in the mix on the dance floor, you can go sit outside on their patio and still enjoy the energy of the music while you're talking. We love going here after having dinner and drinks to end the night with some fun vibes!

Very friendly bartenders and a fun crowd. I was celebrating my friend's bachelor party and the bartenders made sure he had a good time and even bought him a shot. Would definitely return.

After waiting 40 minutes in line. Security asked for my ID and let me go in. 2 minutes later, security forgot he carded me. Grabbed me by my backpack and said we're at full capacity. It was the strangest thing. Place needs professional security.

Lousy service. Will not go back, because the bartenders ignore you. Maybe the younger generation? Who knows, but they clearly didn't realize they're in the service industry.

I'm calling my lawyer. He will be in contact with the owner for violating my civil rights and profiling innocent people. Security takes your picture when you enter the bar without asking consent. They have some tiny sticker at the front that is not legible. What a poor excuse for security. Who does this? They give some weak reason about having people documented on file in case they break the law. Me and my two buddies are educated, well-dressed and I've never had any issues while out. The image can be shared with every company that has Access to this system, even if they are out of town. This is what the security guard told me, but obviously he is not a software engineer, like my buddy who I was with that night. it is extremely sad because this is a regular dive bar, nothing special. Had I been given the option, I would not have gone inside. They acted like we were in Miami or something. What about all of the people who attend and do not cause any problems? Our rights and civil liberties are sacrificed and compromised, for what? Does taking my picture make other people feel safe? It doesn't make any sense. It's simply profiling and should not be legal. I didn't appreciate my picture being taken without someone asking first. I willnever go back and I highly suggest that you avoid this place! There are 10 or 20 options within walking distance from here it is not worth the hassle.

One of my favorite spots. Great to watch American and real football. Shout out to their awesome bartending team! Caroline in particular is always so amazing. So sweat and always on point with service!

Really fun vibe! They have all the World Cup games on, drink prices are decent, friendly staff, and they allow outside food into the bar! Excellent neighborhood bar!

Great prices and staff! With current Covid19 conditions like all other establishments you do have to have food to drink here, but they are working with neighborhood eateries and you can order onsite. Great way to support local businesses and still have a chance to enjoy outside. Came here on a Sunday afternoon and there were probably 8-10 guests, not crowded and a good spot to hangout!

It's obviously a bar if you never been here before covid. It's still Enjoyable during these times. They partnered with lefty's and a seafood place. Drinks are awesome and staff is always nice

Great place if you like futbol (soccer), hands down the best of the ones we have in town. Excellent service, they open to accommodate early games whenever needed and have plenty of TVs to make everyone welcome. The bartender Rodney provides quality service and a friendly attitude. Great guy. Hes a big football fan himself, so he knows whats up. Only wish they played less hip hop on weekend nights and more rock n roll, but you cant win em all! At least for the games Ill be there!

If you ever at the border of South and North park turn around imprint your feet in the ground of a iconic San Diego neighborhood dive bar BLUE FOOT and ask for CAROLINE for the perfect cocktail and her playlist sets the vibez for a Sunday fun day ! I'm a guy who enjoys whiskeys and a good bartender. (See my other reviews) I rolled into Bluefoot to have drink with a friend. The bartender Casey was on point. Attentive and made sure everyone was taken care of. I go to bars to drink. PERIOD. My first time here i felt like one of the regulars. The crowd , the environment,and the music is super chill. At least during the time we were here. I will definitely be back.

This place is a fun bar during the week and days...but Friday and Saturday nights it turns into a wannabe club and charges $5 cover cash. So if you don't have cash...it's $8 with getting money out. The "dance floor" is full of tables and stools so what's really the point of having a dance area if there's no space. It was crowded but because the tables and stools were in the way of all the people.. I'm all for paying a cover but literally when everyone is standing around, you pay a cover to get a drink and listen to some music. The staff is nice and the service is good. But it's 2022, upgrade to a card form of payment for covers.

I'll say this. This bar has been around for a while and it's really a dive bar. What I do like is they have a DJ in the back room. I can't remember the nights that they have hip hop (maybe first fridays of each month) and they play really good music. The place gets really packed so if you arrive later in the night, there will be a line so be patient. Like I said, it's a dive bar so no fancy looking outfits but come as you are. The people who frequent the area all seem cool. Oh, lastly, the restrooms are dirty. I do see the workers cleaning it however it's the patrons that dirty it up badly.

Excellent place to watch some footy and grab a pint or three! If you're a Bayern Munich fan, this is the place.

As a supporter of Arsenal (GUNNERS!), I came here to watch them play Liverpool. The place is a relatively descent dive for the crowd. With the wind blowing and the weather a bit brisk, they left the windows open. It may have been a bit more comfortable with the windows closed. The selection of drinks was....meh. I feel like they should serve food or something to keep more people coming back. The location is cool and staff were pretty good. It was even better when they put on the tvs in the back area to accommodate more supporters of the Gunners. Again, it feels strange that they have booths for seating but don't serve food. I would love to see that addition here. I have a heart for this place since it's an Arsenal Bar. Update: Hanging out here is cool. Spoke the main tender and love the Arsenal Supporter vibe!! Cool people.

Sports bar with great beers that shows English Premier League soccer/football even in the early morning. Good vibes all around.

Why have a phone number listed if it is never answered. Tried calling at least 6 times in a row on a business night. I would understand picking up and saying "Hello, we are busy I am going to put you on hold", but this level of neglect is disappointing

I don't really know why this awesome establishment doesn't have more recent reviews honestly but here I am. I worked in the restaurant industry for about 10 years so take what you will from my opinion. My Dad recommended this place to me as an avid Arsenal fan he mentioned he had caught a few games back in the day "pre Covid" and really wanted to start doing this again. I used to live in the area and went here once or twice and thought "MEH" "ok" sure. We came here on 9/4/22 for the Arsenal v Manchester game early in the am and let me tell you the ambience was freaking AWESOME!!! I'm 32 now I'm no longer in my early 20s and I'm HERE FOR IT! This place allows outside food-YES thanks for this so much especially so early in the morning!! INCREDIBLE DRINKS my mimosa was SO DELICIOUS ordered a few more rounds (was not expecting my morning to go this direction lol), allows dogs SO CUTE, bathroom was clean as hell never had a line (huge plus esp for the girlies). From the awesome front door security(THANK YOU KINDLY FOR FIXING THE PATIO TV VOLUME!!) Bartenders were just top notch. I cannot say enough kind things about how awesome and wonderful they were. Just professional and ON IT, never waited more than a few mins for a drink. I've honestly never felt more welcomed; Thank you for a wonderful time we cannot wait to be back!

I've been here maybe about three times or so, but last weekend was the most memorable. They actually get really packed here on the weekends, and they charge $5 cover unfortunately, and it IS cash only. But its definitely one of your more upbeat neighborhood bars, when you want to go somewhere more chill than downtown gaslamp, but still want the poppin' dancefloor vibes. They have two rooms, one is the bar with two pool tables, the tables are covered and closed off during weekend nights, probably because they don't want any drunk people spilling drinks and ruining their tables or losing any balls or sticks, who knows. And the second room is the dance floor with the DJ. And there is an outdoor patio with tons of tables and chairs for you to relax and catch a breath and smoke. I like that they bring a lot of popular local DJs. And the drinks are inexpensive. Overall, definitely had a good time here!

I've always seen this place but didn't think much of it because I was judging a book by it's cover. So decided to check it out and it was alright but not really my scene. The have a decent size patio, a small bar and a small dance floor which can get busy real quick. The drinks are priced alright and they don't serve food but you can bring your own. I was looking for a quiet place to chill at and this wasn't it that night. They had a cool vibe like North Park so it wasn't all rowdy and no fights broke out. This is not a fancy place so keep that in mind before you come here. I probably wouldn't be back just because it's a little loud for me but that doesn't mean it's not a nice little spot. If you want to dance with a bunch of girls twerking on you then this place is for you.

Bluefoot is the bar you want your neighborhood to have. Decidedly local, utterly unpretentious, and without a hint of corporateness. There are a lot of regulars, and they all know each other, but foreigners are welcome and accepted, as long as you leave the douchebaggery at home. There are two semi-separate rooms, with the back room serving as a kinda-sorta club when there's a DJ or an art show or any number of interesting events going on. The front room has two pool tables, a long bar, and a connecting patio fronting 30th Street that is a great place to people watch if you're not concerned with your carbon monoxide intake. I'm not a beer drinker, but my friends seem pretty satisfied with their selection. My favorite cocktail is the Thirsty Crow, happily served in a pint glass, which saves you a trip or two to the bar throughout the night. Lots of TVs will keep you updated on whatever games are going on, and the bar has become a prime gathering place for the hipster sports enthusiasts, i.e., soccer fans. They often open up early for big soccer matches, so you won't miss any fake injuries from that thrilling 0-0 tie across the pond. Also, you can bring in outside food, so feel free to stop by Lefty's and bring in a couple of slices to wash your cocktail down. I'm definitely a fan.

This place is always so jampacked, and since I only live two blocks away I decided to come here to have a drink, I have thought about going multiple times and just never got around to it, but today was that day. As soon as I walked in there was some pretty decent music playing and a nice crowd of people that we're having a great time, drinks all around me good music playing in my ears what better way to end a night. The bartender was polite and fixed some really good drinks, I enjoyed a whiskey sour and a old-fashioned. Both were fixed perfectly. If you're looking for a quiet place to have a drink this is definitely not the bar that I would send you to, but if you're looking for a crowd of people that are all having fun, loud music and a new aged hipster feel that this is the place for you. They have a couple of pool tables To keep you busy while you drink, I myself am a huge fan of playing pool or any game for that fact. So that added points in my opinion .

Breaks my heart to leave this review as I come here often and typically the service is great. However I feel I need to alert the mgmt to a problem on their staff. I believe he is new as I haven't seen him here before but the bartender tonight was terrible and needs to find a different line of work or be retrained. My first trip to the bar for a drink I waited for 15 min until the security guard came on and took my order. It wasn't overly busy but the bartender was just serving one portion of the bar and ignoring half the clientele. The second time at the bar after waiting another 15 minutes I called out "bartender" and raised my hand to make sure he saw me. He has again only been servicing one spot of the bar. When he came over he was immediately hostile and said "if you want a drink why don't you come up to where everyone is ordering" I responded that at every bar I've ever been to the expectation is to go to an open spot at the bar for service. Not to crowd around one spot for service. He again very rudely told me that if I want a drink I need to come to where he is standing. If that's the weird way he wants to provide service then he could have asked me to do that and I'd have been more than happy to, but he instead chose to approach the situation with hostility. Again I like this place a lot but this was a really bad experience. He his a larger man with bleach blond hair and glasses (only providing so mgmt knows who I had this poor service and unnecessarily hostile interaction with) I get it's not an easy job to provide service but there's no need to be mean to people that don't intuit very unusual serving practices

Really enjoyed this bar. It's pretty chill! A good place to go if you're looking for something more laid back with optional dancing. One half of the bar is pool tables and bar, and the other half is the dance area. The music was r and b and old hip hop. They had sports games playing. This is probably the type of place you go to with friends just to chill, but not the place you take one of your friends to try to introduce them to someone. Tequila shots are 5 dollars here! Definitely enjoy going here! Only thing that's not fun is.. try not to get hit by pool sticks if you're on the bar side.

So SMOKEY!!! If you can hang in a haze of cigarette smoke; then come here, but there's nothing else to offer, other than they allow you to smoke right outside the doors - and it just drifts in all their open windows, I'm pretty sure all my clothes will smell like the 90s when I leave, also, probably the last update they had around here, go elsewhere, I will.

I feel unqualified to review this place because although I did go there I was never served or even acknowledged. I went w a friend and sat at the bar and was completely ignored for 20 minutes. Mind you it was not busy which makes me feel sad. I had money and even a credit card but who knows. We left with dry throats and dower looks of rejection. I'm not sure if it was my RBF or my friends gregarious demeanor but alas something about us was off-putting enough to garner distain from the 3 unoccupied servers behind the bar. Generally I leave more-than-adequate tips to ensure primo future service and congenital smiles from staff but alas not at Bluefoot. My loss I guess as they are close to home.

Honestly I love popping into this bar for a drink. However, coming in on a Saturday and nobody wearing a mask except the employees is complete bullshit. I'm a server and I feel it's so unfair to the staff. People are getting vaccinated and the numbers are going down in CA but the pandemic isn't over. Treat your fucking staff right and regulate masks.

I haven't been here at night...I am only reviewing them for the World Cup viewing. You can always count on the Bluefoot Bar to be open for your World Cup viewing. They open early to accommodate the crazy viewing schedule. There are plenty of tv's positioned well, in both the bar and the lounge areas. They staff enough bartenders and bar backs to keep everyone well hydrated ;-) The customers are a mixed-bag but that's probably because they're there to watch WC...they aren't necessarily reflective of the "bar regulars". This is a great place to come and watch your favorite major sporting events.

Bluefoot is cool. I think I've been coming here for about 5+ years now. It's that place you go when you want to drink in North Park but want to avoid its metropolis: True North, West Coast Tavern, Office Lounge, etc. It's the lone wolf bar on the outskirts of NP. It makes you feel like you're not in the thick of the congestion. It's super chill, has a large bar, a pool table, private bathrooms for girls, and lots of tables. There's a lounge in the back where the DJ spins and there's more tables and booths. They've got a full bar and a great beer selection. Bluefoot is honestly good for anything you're in the mood for. You can come and play pool, watch sports, take shots, have beers, day drink, night drink, celebrate birthdays, bar hop, listen to DJs, dance, girls night, guys night, date night, watch live art shows...I mean it's just a no brainer choice when you don't want to think too hard about where to go. The street parking isn't too bad either. If you get hungry, there's plenty of places to eat around the area. I'll always like Bluefoot. I've seen friends DJ here and have watched my sister do her live art here too. It's a place that supports the community and its creativity which is another great thing about it.

Security guard will deny you getting in either an ID that's only been expired a few weeks, but will let in someone who didn't even stand in line or show ID if they slide home some money in his hand (didn't check that either)

Love this place! It's right across the street from my favorite ramen place so it's fun to get drinks after your filling dinner. Bartenders are pretty nice and the beer/drink prices are great! There's a diverse group of people coming here so it's great that their music caters to the crowd. There is a billiard area so it's perfect for weekday hangouts and they have a dance section and dj during the busier nights, definitely a great place for groups and friends.

"Home of the OG Mule" ...at least thats what i have dubbed it based on what i heard, and what brought me thru its doors this past weekend. served as a no frills, standard bar beverage like all its other spirit-ed comrades, it was passed from the friendly bartender's hand to mine in a simple pint glass, for $5. When Starlite is out of its fancy copper mugs they will serve their mule the same way, for the same price (mug version is larger drink and thus costs more). With aspirations to be a mule-connoisseur, I report back that the OG mule is good. Not just because its a decent price and I like the nickname, but because its got the proper balance of ingredients...not too sweet, not watered down, right amount of ginger-ness. a 4-star mule indeed and I'm glad I finally got to try it. bluefoot itself is just fine. nothing particularly distinguishable in my eyes...good amount of seating, divided space between bar and back dance area, no cover.
