I've visited this place many times with family and have always had a great experience, which is why I was looking forward to coming back. Unfortunately, during this visit, I had a disappointing interaction. After we ordered and ate at our table, I went inside to ask if I could order additional drinks, as I remembered being able to do so last year. I completely understand if policies have changed --- a simple, polite explanation would have been perfectly fine.
Instead, the woman who helped me (middle-aged woman over 40 who was working behind the counter inside mid-day Sunday 4/27, I think her name was Elaine?) spoke to me in a condescending tone and told me I had to order from the table. Her attitude was unnecessarily dismissive, and it completely turned me off from ordering anything more.
I want to be clear: my issue isn't with the policy, but with the tone and customer service I received. It left a disappointing impression, especially since I have had much better service here in the past.
I thought about going back to tell her she should work on her customer service skills, but I decided to protect my peace and not let her negative energy attach to mine. I also did not tell my family about this interaction so that we could continue to enjoy our time there, and not leave a bad taste in their mouth or pass along this negative energy.
I truly hope this feedback is taken into consideration, as I would love to continue supporting this business.
