How the Tiny Maryland Town of Easton Grew Into a Culinary Hotbed | Eater DC

"I see Bluepoint as the driving force reshaping downtown Easton: led by eccentric energy tycoon Paul Prager, the group has rapidly recruited local and NYC talent to build a portfolio of restaurants and shops, maintaining nine culinary establishments within one square mile and 13 properties overall, and now owning about half of Easton’s historic downtown (locals sometimes call it “Pragerville”). Prager presents Bluepoint as committed to timeless design and cuisine, investing in staff development (including an annual “Winter Sabbatical” for visiting chefs), bringing in high-profile talent and weekend managers from New York, and repurposing properties like the former Bartlett Pear Inn for employee housing; he also defends pricing as modestly higher quality-driven spending that circulates back into the local economy." - John Besche

My wife and I make it a point to visit their establishments every time we're in Easton—and for good reason. This restaurant group consistently delivers top-tier culinary experiences, paired with warm, attentive service and beautifully maintained, spotless locations. Each visit feels like a treat, and no matter which spot we choose, the quality and care are always the same. It’s clear they take pride in every detail, and that’s what keeps us coming back.

I understand that bringing first-class eateries and coffee shops into Easton can create considerable friction; most people like things not to change. But every Bluepoint venue we visited was wonderful, and Easton is lucky to have them. I hope the friction can be resolved, and that everyone in town can share a sense of ownership in this wonderful addition to Easton.

They advertise traditional high tea. However, when you arrive you are informed you must make a reservation. First mention of reservations even though I stopped in to inquire on the times.. Also, no phone number to make a reservation. The Wardroom was our 2nd choice and they always get 5 stars.

Every establishment we have visited has been a pleasure. Great staff always adds to your dining experience and each restaurant/store has certainly recognized that fact. Thanks for adding so much to our town! Thanks too, for your support of Easton non- profits.

They are personally responsible for the cancellation of Washington Promenade in Easton, as well as the planned buying of almost half of downtown's storefronts for overpriced (and unimpressive) shops and restaurants, making it impossible for locals to enjoy their town. Don't support those who knowingly and willfully destroy local economies to make their own rich-man playgrounds.
