Yelp
3.5 stars. Very cute, cozy cafe. We came in the month of October, and the cafe was so well-decorated for Halloween.
The food is just okay though. I love that they have a large selection of vegan food, and a lot of it looked very appealing. I got the Impossible Vegan Burger, which wasn't bad. The tart tomato sauce was pretty overpowering though, so scraping some of it off helped balance out the flavors. The impossible patty was juicy, and the sandwich overall was pretty filling. My friend got the Triple Burger and Mac 'N Cheese. She said the Mac 'n Cheese was plain and didn't have enough seasoning and that the macaroni was a bit overcooked and soggy. She said the Triple Burger was juicy but also could've used a bit of more seasoning.
We also got some bakery items from the counter. The items looked better than they tasted, so we were a bit disappointed.
- Vegan Maple Walnut Donut: Didn't taste fresh -- the donut bread tasted stale. It was very sweet though.
- Vegan Bread Pudding: Flavorless. We got it with berry compote on the side, which helped a lot. Without it, it would've been very plain. There was also the option to have caramel or vanilla sauce on the side. The berry compote was not too sweet and pretty watery. I thought it was just the right amount of sweetness, but my friend thought it could've been sweeter, so maybe getting caramel or vanilla sauce on the side would've been better for her.
- Pumpkin Muffin: Soft and not too sweet. The bread was on the lighter side. Tasted like it was missing something.
They have many bakery goods, but nothing was outstanding. They weren't terrible, but they did leave us feeling there was more to desire.
When coming here, I'd probably skip the bakery goods and just come for the decent food, ambiance, and support for a local vegan-friendly eatery.
