We had a great time at Blueprint Coffee in St. Louis! The place has a really nice setup with a good vibe and just the right amount of noise. The service was excellent — Julia Luster helped us and she was super kind and friendly. The coffee was delicious, and the rosemary goat cheese scones were amazing — so flavorful and fresh! It’s close to our hotel and in a great location. We really enjoyed our visit :)

Caffeine is chemistry I guess or at least Blueprint Coffee thinks so. Listen, if my coffee arrives in an Erlenmeyer flask, I already know I’m in the right place. Blueprint Coffee isn’t just serving up a drink; they’re conducting a full-on science experiment with every pour. And honestly, I’m here for it. The place was packed because of course it was. Good coffee attracts a crowd, and St. Louis just so happens to have one of the best coffee shop scenes out there. A carefully measured and extracted moment of joy in a flask. Consider me converted.

I’ve heard of this coffee shop before, but this was my first experience and I loved it! I got a Vanilla Bean latte with Oatmilk it was fantastic. The espresso was very good, not too bitter. My friend got a pour over and it came in a cute beaker style container. The staff was very friendly, and the atmosphere was very relaxed, just what I want in a coffee shop. Unfortunately it’s not very close to me, but I will definitely be going again when I am in the area.

Walking into Blueprint Coffee felt like stepping into a cool New York apartment—industrial chic with a touch of comfort. The exposed concrete counters and white subway tiles added character, but the standout was a thick wooden slab designed for standing and sipping, a subtle nudge to slow down and enjoy the craft. Now, the real reason for the visit: the coffee and food. I’m deep into my matcha era, and their iced matcha latte did not disappoint. Smooth, balanced, and with the perfect sweetness—just how I like it. The biscuit sandwich? Bomb. Flaky layers that crumbled just right, paired with a savory frittata that made it a perfect match for my drink. A whole vibe from first sip to last bite.

Great place! My girlfriend got an iced gooey butter cake latte and I got a regular hot latte. We both enjoyed our drinks! We also got the gg sandwich which was unique but good, and their chocolate chip cookie which was amazing!

As someone who frequently travels and seeks out high-quality coffee to feel at home in new cities, I wanted to share my exceptional experience at Blueprint Coffee. Being from Seattle, I must admit I had a preconceived notion of St. Louis as perhaps less progressive. However, Blueprint Coffee completely shattered that perception. Your shop is truly impressive and could give even some Seattle establishments a run for their money. The bustling atmosphere is a clear indicator of your quality, and I found your coffee prices to be incredibly reasonable, especially considering the dedication to coffee culture evident in every aspect of your operation. It's refreshing to find a place that is clearly a step above the standard chains. I was particularly impressed by the knowledgeable baristas I spoke with, who demonstrated a deep understanding of coffee and its various processes. The state-of-the-art equipment, including the pour-over setup with a Kalita, and the availability of third-wave coffee items for sale were also noteworthy. Blueprint Coffee undoubtedly met all the criteria on my coffee shop checklist. What truly stood out, however, was the exceptional service. While efficient in taking orders and preparing food and beverages, your team goes the extra mile by delivering orders to your table – a thoughtful touch. I especially want to commend Aly, who took the time to chat with me about coffee and even offered recommendations for food and places to visit in St. Louis. As someone passionate about coffee, I truly appreciated her willingness to connect with guests. My recent reading of "Unreasonable Hospitality" resonated deeply with the welcoming atmosphere Aly cultivated. I especially appreciated the sample of cold brew and sparkling water she offered. While some may view coffee simply as a beverage, it's the quality of service and the "unreasonable hospitality" provided by places like Blueprint Coffee that create a lasting positive impression of a city. My experience at your shop has certainly left a memorable mark on my perception of St. Louis.

Coffee was amazing! Food was okay, probably wouldn't order it again. It was sort of expensive and didn't have much taste to it. The coffee shop is super cute, but parking situation is a little difficult. There are also homeless that sit around the area. It's not the shop's fault, but you do get harassed for money when going in and leaving the shop. I absolutely love Blueprint coffee though and find them to be some of the best coffee locally!

I come here every week, and the baristas are always friendly and the coffee is great! It’s my favorite place :)

Yelp
So I walked in at 3:30 on a saturday and this place is jumping?? I suppose caffeine knows no time cutoff, lol. The interior has an interesting design. A few big islands for studying and high tops for groups. It is all very open, at the counter I almost did not know where to order lol. The worker was great. Friendly, quick, happy! Coffee was solid, too. A latte with ample ice is a good latte, regardless of flavor. Don't worry, had plenty of flavor, too! Super solid coffee shop. I assume it may be tough to study here as it is on the loop so it probably gets loud and sees tons of traffic. It will certainly be a mainstay for me any time I hit the Loop!

Yelp
Blueprint is my favorite coffee shop! My current obsession: Cherry Cola Espressoda. They also have the best chocolate chip cookies! The staff is super welcoming and there is a lot of space to work but it does get noisy

Yelp
The overnight oats are fantastic, and all of the drinks are high quality! I felt the price point was a little high for the drinks but in this economy they're hardly an outlier. Lots of workspace and seating, with lots of natural light! The service was great, if you're staying they'll bring your order straight to your table. Chairs are a little uncomfy but they all have back support, even the bar stools! WiFi available, street parking required. I do not believe they charge for alternative milks
google avatar

Yelp
The service is great! The baristas work hard to bring the best coffee. The food is all made in store, and the coffee is roasted so often that always makes the coffee taste and feel fresh! Even for a busy Saturday, the wait is worth it. I got a matcha latte and I have also ordered a biscuit which was yummy!

Yelp
Awesome atmosphere with various seating options. The staff was friendly and helpful as this was my 1st visit. The biscuit and jam was delicious and the salted caramel cappuccino was amazing! I will definitely return (maybe tomorrow morning!).

Yelp
One of my high school classmates owns and operates Blueprint Coffee so I feel I will always support. The coffee is great, the staff is wonderful and the customers are one of a kind. A kind gentleman who ordered many bags of coffee from there gave myself and my friend his free coffee coupons. That was really nice of him! #PayItForward

Yelp
Review Visit: July 30th, 2018 Is Blueprint Coffee a good blue print for coffee? Sadly, no. In 2017, I was in St. Louis for a Coheed and Cambria concert and discovered Blueprint Coffee. Unfortunately, they closed 5 minutes before I got there. So, I made a mental note to visit it the next time I was in town. Fast forward to 2018 and I am in town again to see a Cardinals game with my mom. We only had a few minutes to grab some coffee before the game, so we were in and out super quick. So... why isn't Blueprint a blue print for coffee shops? The interior was pretty plain. Not that that is bad. It's just very plain with no décor. We don't visit coffeehouses for the décor or paint colors. We visit them for coffee. How was the coffee? It was interesting. I ordered a Tekton v12, which according to the menu was a 'Colombia/Guatemala' filtered coffee. It had a hint of chestnut, I think. It was alright. Not something I would order again but not bad enough to not finish. The whole menu, which was on an awkward clipboard, is weird. It was kind of hard to decipher and figure out how to order a plain black coffee. I'd definitely recommend them having a bit more cohesive and a better laid out menu. They also offered teas and food but since we were in a rush, I didn't get a chance to see what they offered. Last but not least... the customer service. The barista must have been having a bad day or something because he showed no enthusiasm when I placed my order and when he handed it to me. That whole mood of 'you aren't welcome here' was actually felt throughout the entire place. Now maybe it was because I was on a time restraint, but I definitely was happy to leave the place. Now with the disclaimer. Just because I had a 'less-than-stellar' experience here doesn't mean you should avoid it. The online reviews are great and the place was packed when I was there. They opened a 2nd location, so business must be going great. Go there, try it yourself and form your own opinion.

Yelp
A step up from Starbucks, but nothing extraordinary. Decent coffee spot if you're in the area and need a cup. While it won't blow you away, it'll satisfy your caffeine craving better than the big chains.

Yelp
Food: 5 Stars Service: 5 Stars I'm not quite the coffee connoisseur, but I can appreciate the intentions being made at Blueprint Coffee. The beans they source from places like Ethiopia and El Salvador are luscious and well-rounded. The brews definitely lack the heavy bitterness you often taste with commercial roasts. Their breakfast menu is delightful with handmade biscuits and sandwiches.
google avatar

Lucas W.

Yelp
I'm not a coffee drinker so I admittedly can't speak to their coffee which is undoubtedly what they're known for, but I did have the breakfast and found it to be good. The biscuit was very tasty, not as heavy/dense as I might've otherwise feared and the egg was well cooked. I just wish they'd added more of that tomato chutney spread on the bottom - it was good but hardly present and really would've made the sandwich that extra level better. The venue was nice and service was quick; would be happy to return.

Yelp
Super cute place to go, comfy seating and friendly staff. Seems like they make a lot of stuff in house. I really enjoyed my matcha! Will def be returning

Yelp
In Saint Louis for the Matisyahu show and hoping to find all our coffee and Matcha needs. In the morning the pour over was one of the best I've had and the iced Matcha in the afternoon was awesome too. Thanks, Allie. Sigh

Yelp
I was excited to try Blueprint Coffee conviently located in the University City loop. Since it is on Delmar Blvd, parking was hard to find. When I walked in, I saw many employees working hard to perfect their coffee. There were some tasting different beans, and some packaging beans which gave a wearhouse vibe. I landed on the lavender latte with oatmilk which I enjoyed. It wasn't overly sweet at all, but I prefer a latte that still has the taste of espresso, which was a bit lost for me. It would have been perfection with a tad less milk. There were a few tables inside but not many. It was overall a good experience.

Yelp
Whenever I visit a city, I love to research local roasters and try to bring home a piece of the city, and blueprint coffee is one of the most popular recommendations from my research. The shop offers a variety of recently roasted coffee as well as various brewing supplies. There aren't a huge amount of sitting space but still has a good amount of people working on their tasks.
google avatar

Neil L.

Yelp
Got a cappuccino and a slice of chocolate chip banana bread. The cappuccino was pretty good. No extra flavoring and straight whole milk. It was creamier than most and had a distinct roasted flavor... But it wasn't so good that it blew my socks off. Maybe if I got it for there and sipped on it there out of a real mug. The banana bread was quite tasty. Not dry at all.

Yelp
Great local coffee roaster with coffee bean subscription options and free local delivery! My husband and I have two subscriptions set up with Blueprint - one for whole beans for drip and one for whole beans for espresso. They also have a variety of grind options if you don't have your own grinder. They send bags of their choosing which is great for discovering your taste or you can specify preferences. They offer free local delivery so a member of their team drops our coffee off at our doorstep and texts us when it arrives which is extremely convenient! Their deliveries also come in recyclable packaging which is a plus and includes an information card about the coffee and brewing recommendations. Their customer service through email is also impeccable! Overall, highly recommend getting a coffee subscription from here if you're local and love coffee. They have top notch customer service, always deliver freshly roasted beans, and the subscription service is very customizable and seamless.

Yelp
5 stars. The place is very industrial, and has a distillery vibe, which is not my favorite but I think they did it nicely. The best part was the service. I came in, got a Gooey Butter Latte, and took a seat. The first drink they brought me ended up being an unflavored latte - which, normally I would despise, but was actually really good - and when I asked them to add a few pumps of syrup, they went back and remade my whole drink with no fuss. Very nice and personable, and made my experience great. And, like I said, the coffee was excellent! I could even drink an unflavored latte as someone who usually hates the bitterness of coffee. Give this place a try if you're on the loop!

Yelp
Coffee was very delicious here. Latte was perfect balance and smooth. Has limited indoor and outdoor seating but great for a quick pick up.

Yelp
Fresh ready to order delicious coffee of the non chain variety on the Loop. Every time I have had a coffee here it has been made exactly like I asked. Good place to chill and sip your coffee while you are shopping on the Loop.

Yelp
Came with a friend who wanted their coffee because there are no other places in the area. We walked to the counter and the two people working were busy. We waited a few minutes and then realized the screen was turned our way so we thought it was self service. When she started to tap it to order the guy got quite snippy and told us to wait. She got a cold brew, iced tea and I asked for a biscuit with peach jam. The same guy came to bring us a biscuit and said he'd be right back with the drinks, 10 minutes later she still didn't get the drinks and when she asked they looked at us confused. He had to go back to see what was ordered and quickly made it. She said it was very bitter. The spot is really cute and the biscuit was great but the service was not.
google avatar

Yelp
Friendly service and delicious coffee and scone. It's a shame it's so small but fellow customers are friendly and happy to share a table if asked.

Shawna B.

Yelp
I ordered take out. Fast, friendly and delicious! Next time I'm in town I'd forsure come back! The space was super cute too!
google avatar

Yelp
My wife and I hail from Chicago where we are lost certainly spoiled with great coffee options. That's why we always looks for good places when we travel! This place delivered a solid flavor from their pulls. My wife opted for a dirty chai and I got their drink of the month: lavender and cardamom. Both were solid, not special. We'd certainly come back if we're in town again and enjoyed the atmosphere despite the lack of seating options.

Yelp
Blueprint is a Delmar Loop top 3 list - especially when seeking your caffeine fix! My go to her is a cortado but I rotate around between drinks and love the more espresso rich drinks here. A big fan of their espresso beans; perfect amount of bitter! Always greeted & served with kindness - loved near here for a bit a grew a great relationship with the baristas. Never been somewhere everywhere is equal passionate about their brews!! On the smaller side - personally not my favorite place to work but people do bring laptops!!

Yelp
Being going here for years. One of the very best coffee spots in STL. Coffee always hits the spot. And the egg/biscuit breakfast sandwiches are next level! Really nice they offer a free drink when buying a bag of beans! Blueprint is top-notch. Great people, coffee, and food.
google avatar

Yelp
Went back for a third time. Biscuits were perfect. Also their cardamum latte was amazing. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable of their coffees. Its a cozy coffee shop if you can find a seat.

Yelp
**Fantastic coffee alert** This Denver dude was in desperate need of a caffeine jolt while in STL. I had planned to walk around The Loop, as it's considered one of the finest streets in America. But first, coffee. This place is cool. However, not pretentious! That Midwest hospitality was showing its true, bright colors. It was a lot warmer during the day than I originally anticipated, so I felt like an iced beverage was the way to go. Lo and behold, their cold brew is phenomenal. After a filling and hearty meal at Pappy's, this coffee resurrected me from the depths of a BBQ-filled coma. It just had so much flavor to it, unlike a lot of coffees out there. That's the difference between a place that roasts their own beans. Lord have mercy! Keep in mind that it's a small shop, so for the remote workers this might not be the most productive environment for you. But for me, the innocent traveler, it was sheer bliss. Dare I say, they're the "blueprint" when it comes to coffee? Dad jokes aside, I'm still thinking about this coffee!
google avatar

Sara G.

Yelp
What a great coffee shop! I had an iced almond milk latte and the only thing that I wish they offered is a sugar free syrup to add to it. The service was great and I purchased some beans to grind at home and enjoy.
google avatar

Janice M.

Yelp
Randomly found this place while visiting. Walked in and a very friendly barista gave me a list of recommendations. Tried the seasonal special over ice because she said it's sweet. Absolutely loved it the aroma of the coffee & it was so refreshing. Would come back to try something else. The coffee shop is super cute with small tables and work counters. They sell a bunch of coffee related merchandise. A really good spot to get work done (WiFi is available)
google avatar

Gina F.

Yelp
Great coffee and atmosphere, friendly staff and efficient can use some more seating for others to stay longer

Nathan W.

Yelp
Received a bag of coffee from Blue Print through Trade Coffee and it was the worst coffee I'd ever been sent. I would not recommend buying their coffee as I highly suspect that they cut their supposedly craft level coffee with cheap blends. Avoid this brand at all costs if you want to enjoy your coffee
google avatar

Wanda H.

Yelp
Coffee is good. Wish they had more room for people to sit inside though.
google avatar

Sonali D.

Yelp
What a cool coffee place! Stopped by here to get coffee with a friend. I was taken away by the roastery within the store with a whole packaging department. They also have their own beans for sale in store. If you buy a bag, you also get a free drink, which I thought was so thoughtful. I got the Gamatui Community coffee, as recommended by the barista. The fruity notes were definitely there! Also got the vegan banana bread, and it was to die for. Definitely a checklist coffee place for sure.
google avatar

Michael S.

Yelp
A comfortable coffee spot for relaxing, study, or work. Mostly a coffee roaster-seller but has a few breakfast sandwiches and pastries. Our small hot mochas, at $5 each, were heavy on cocoa powder, giving the drinks a dusty aftertaste. Street parking immediately around Blueprint can be challenging.
google avatar

Thanh T.

Yelp
Took my friend who loves coffee here and he liked it. He bought some coffee to take back home with him. I liked the coffee too, also tried the bubbly Italian Espressoda coffee they had. It was...interesting weird and I liked it! Iy is different, but I'd give it a shit at least once! Def would recommend a cup of coffee here to start your day!
google avatar

Julia W.

Yelp
Cute little coffee shop in the Loop. It's hard to park nearby and all the parking close is paid meter parking. They had lots of choices and many baristas wore masks for safety, which I appreciated. Everyone was super kind! I ordered a rosemary latte that was very nice. Other customers seemed to be enjoying their food and coffee in the shop as well.
google avatar

Douglas K.

Yelp
Hands down the best coffee in the StL. There are a lot of great roasters in the area, but Blueprint is consistently a great roast no matter which bean you buy. Others have hits and misses, but I haven't had bad roast yet from them. And if you buy a bag, they'll give you a free cup of coffee to enjoy. I highly suggest their lattes and any of their pour overs!
google avatar

Rylee T.

Yelp
The BEST coffee in all of stl! There are two locations in St. Louis, but I have only ever been to the Delmar Loop location. Their beans are also brewed at a few cafes around town (one being Half & Half, one of my favorites as well). Service is always fast and coffee is ALWAYS fresh. They select unique coffee from around the world and meticulously roast and brew it. My two favorite blends are Penrose and Nariño Select. I highly recommend this coffee to any person seeking out high quality beans!!

Yelp
Today wasn't the first day I'd visited Blueprint - I've come many times before - but it was definitely the day they impressed the hell out of me! My partner and I came in planning on doing their weekly cupping (Mondays at 12pm) but decided to get breakfast first. I was not convinced their breakfast was going to be amazing because I'm not used to coffee shops impressing me with their food but OMG it was! We ordered the eggs florentine and egg biscuit to share. Every ingredient was cooked and made to perfection. The eggs florentine had a beautifully over medium poached egg that was still warm from being freshly made on top of a buttery biscuit, yummy greens and roasted tomatoes, topped with hollandaise sauce. The egg biscuit included an over easy egg, tomato jam, and cheese. I lovelovelove when places add homemade jams to items and this one didn't disappoint! It was a savory jam that totally made the dish 10x tastier. The fact that a shop that focuses mostly on coffee (duh) does such a great breakfast really tells you how great this place is becuase the coffee is top of line. We also ordered a Colombia pour over to share before the cupping and it was a very balanced, well-roasted cup. On to the cupping- what an awesome time! I was a bit nervous about how approachable and comfortable the experience would be and I was completely confortable. It is an extremely authentic cupping. You are provided an sheet to note what you smell and taste and guided by an employee complete with a how-to on how to properly to the cupping. We tried six different coffees and it's such a great way to learn what you like and learn more about different types of coffees. Overall, wonderful business. You can tell the employees are passionate about coffee and quality without being pretentious and I will be back!

Yelp
If I could give a 0 I would. I've frequented this shop on multiple occasions and have had great experiences with kind prompt service. Today that was not the case. The barista who took my order was kind but the interaction I had with the owner was upsetting to say the least. I paid for my order, received a notification from my bank of the transaction ($13.07) going through, when the ipad was turned around for me to add tip/ signature there was a notification on their POS system of a canceled transaction. The barista I was working with had already stepped away so I requested assistance from another Barista (Kevin, who turns out to be the owner). The interaction started off very negatively, he walked over to the counter visibly annoyed. Kevin mentioned that they have problems with their POS system sometimes, I showed the transaction on my bank from "Blueprint" and asked if this was the name of the shop because I only knew it as HighLow. Kevin then begrudgingly says "I guess I have to comp your order, guess you're getting a free order. We're going to have to eat it" and continues to berate and belittle me through the entire interaction like I was purposely trying to trick him out of goods. At that point I still had the payment on my bank transactions, I wasn't going to take his word for it and pay again with the hope I wasn't charged twice. Especially with his behavior and attitude toward me. In the 5 minute interaction we had he mentioned me getting a free order and him having to comp my order over 10 times. "What's your order again? Since I had to comp it... Check your bank tomorrow, you didn't pay for the order it'll be back to you($13.07) by tomorrow" and on and on. He kept talking at me even after I completely disengaged. By the time the order was ready I was taking a phone call, he slides my order across the counter and says "Here's your free order" at this point I asked him "Can you stop?" grab the order and leave. When I called to make a complaint I found out Kevin was the owner. I mentioned I didn't appreciate how rude he was and the way he spoke to me in such a belittling way. He stated, "You just got a free order you could've just said thank you. Check your bank tomorrow, you just got a free order". I'm not going to engage and thank someone who is actively being negative and rude to me from the moment our interaction began. Especially over issues they're having with their system, I'm grabbing my order and leaving. My suggestions; get your POS system figured out, in the meantime don't take out your frustration on your patrons, don't offer "free" goods if you're going to be rude and vindictive.

Yelp
I thought the coffee as good. Place can get crowded. A few tables but all occupied. Service was friendly

Yelp
BEST COFFEE in St. Louis. Found this place by recommendation from a local and I got hooked right away. The Delmar location was the closest one to the hotel I was staying at so that's the one I frequented the most. My usual order was a double espresso to consume while I waited for my pour over. The coffee selection for pour overs was very diverse and I had yet to try one that I didn't enjoy. They do such a great job with their coffee. HIGHLY recommended.

Yelp
I stopped by Blueprint Coffee with my daughter one morning and enjoyed an iced spicy pumpkin latte paired with one of their delicious pastries. Ordering was easy and my latte came out quickly. I always enjoy their coffee as they use quality espresso. I think it's a little on the pricey side but I'm always willing to pay more for for a local latte.

Yelp
How have I not left a review of one of my favorite places to drink coffee in Saint Louis? Blueprint not only roasts and serves some of the best coffee in Saint Louis, but they have amazing pastries and breakfast sandwiches. Sometimes at this location parking can be a little tricky, there's paid street parking that's typically available unless there's an event going on in the Loop. As you can see by my photos, the chai latte, a Tekton v6, their biscuits with apple jam and butter... these are my favorite things not only at Blueprint, but in life. We are #blessed to have such an elevated coffee roaster in Saint Louis. They set the standard of coffee goodness, all things hip, and hospitality. I love that they are always hosting events to educate locals about their coffee, too. Way to be, Blueprint. See ya in the AM.

Yelp
BEST COFFEE ever (both my friend and I agreed). I had the Matcha latte and now want it again. Definitely going back there!

Yelp
I Can't Believe the BUTTER! This was the best biscuit and biscuit breakfast sandwich I've ever had. Look at my hips - I know my biscuits. What's worse, the BUTTER is even better. Better-Butter. And they slab a generous portion of it. Although the delicious biscuit was huge, it lacked enough butter surface area. Not one to waste, I buttered everything else that was edible. I would have buttered the non-edible. It's that good. The homemade preserves are also excellent. Sadly, I didn't try their coffee (I shot an espresso only to function, not to taste).
