Bluestone Lane Post Oak Plaza Coffee Shop

To start off, I just want to say that the service here is always amazing and I love the baristas. I’ve been coming here for a while and the coffee used to be really good but it has gone downhill recently. The last couple times I have come in, I ordered my usual flat white with almond milk and the taste was very off. I asked the barista to remake my drink and asked what was going on. They informed me that there was an issue with the grinder and that was affecting the taste of the coffee. Me and my husband love coming here but if this continues I don’t think we can keep coming back here.

Have had the brekkie smoothie and an iced magic - both were great! The people working were friendly and the seating area was nice for a casual little coffee place. Was not over crowded when we went. There were seating options inside and out.

Place is to meet with the friends. Not as friendly for studying since not many tables with plugs. Parking is free. Barista is sweet and kind. I got the honey matcha latte, 7/10. I still could feel the strong matcha aftertaste with each sip.

don’t know about any of their other food. I just ordered the Matcha tea latte iced and it tastes really bad. not like the creamy way they have other places which might mean it’s healthy but if you wanna get Matcha tea latte for the taste, I’d save you six bucks by saying go somewhere else.

I really love Bluestone Lane. The coffee is always great, the seasonal drinks are so good and the atmosphere is great with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. It’s one of my favorite places to work and my go-to spot whenever I’m in Houston. I love the staff too. Just an all-around great spot!

Disappointing and Overpriced Experience at Bluestone Lane I recently visited Bluestone Lane, and while the service was good and the staff—especially “Nas” & “Sam”—was friendly, the food was a complete letdown. I ordered their Avocado Toast ($9.25 on the menu) with one poached egg and salmon, plus a small latte, and ended up paying nearly $24. The math just doesn’t add up. Worse, the taste was underwhelming. The avocado toast was bland and lacked any real flavor. I had to ask for salt, pepper, and lime juice just to make it somewhat palatable. The avocado spread was minimal, just a basic layer on toast—far from what you’d expect for the price. Avocado toast should feel generous and layered with care; this felt like an afterthought. The latte was the only saving grace—it was good—but overall, the meal was nowhere near worth the exorbitant price. Definitely not recommended if you’re looking for value or flavor.

Aussie iced latte was not it for me. Avocado toast was good. Unfortunately there was construction going on when I went and thus the ceiling had leaks but that's not caused the them. Outdoor seating available. Not much of a pastries selection. It's a pretty small. Does have a bit of juices available. Employees we're not exactly friendly but definitely not mean either. Just didn't seem inviting . Overall not satisfied but it's still an ok place if you want coffee.

Had a small cappuccino with extra shot. It was great! right balance of sweet & coffee strength.

The expresso drinks are robust & not too sweet. When I walked in & saw they have 4 oz & 8oz cups in addition to the larger ones I knew I was gonna be ok ordering my cortado with vanilla. For milk alternatives, they have oat & almond, not soy milk. The place was pretty empty. Service was fast. The inside is a bit minimalistic. They have tables & chairs, no sofas. The chairs are the hard white metal type which to me can get uncomfortable after sitting for awhile. They have outdoor seating, again with metal tables & chairs. For me it's not the most cozy/comfortable environment to hangout & do work but it's a very clean, quiet vibe. If I hadn't read that it was an Australian inspired chain, I would not have known from just being inside. I'd visit them again.

A coworker picked this us for up before work so I can't speak much on the ambiance inside. Iced Vanilla chai latte and ham & cheese jaffle were good. Menu for coffee honestly seems a bit limited.

Great coffee shop with ample seating inside and outside. I got an iced pumpkin spice latte with oat milk and some avocado toast. The latte was absolutely delicious one of the best lattes I have ever had. The avocado toast on the other hand lacked flavor and did not taste fresh at all. I also feel that the prices were astronomical. I had a regular size latte and a piece of avocado toast that tasted awful and it was $23. I do not plan on rushing back here but if I do go back I will only stick with a latte.

I came here for a coffee after lunch and got a flat white. It was piping hot and almost burned my tongue. Coffee was perfect after it cooled, strong flavor and just the right foaminess.

This was my first time going to Bluestone Lane as I saw it driving by. From what I ordered it was good! I got an Iced Latte with oatmilk, vanilla syrup and cinnamon made decaf and it was honestly tasty. The espresso tasted good and the flavor of the drink was perfect. My only complaint is that it could've used just a little more sugar for my liking but I can tweak that if I ever return! I also tried the Chocolate Chip Sea Salt Cookie which was just okay and kind of underwhelming and overpriced. It tasted like an average chocolate chip cookie and wasn't really anything special for $5. I was hoping they would've put the sea salt on top as advertised. Overall I didn't try any of their entrees or hot foods but maybe in the future! I did like how fast and convenient ordering on the app was. I ordered as I was sitting in the car and by the time I walked in my food was waiting at the counter!

First time here, I love the ambience of the restaurant. I was a little disappointed because I like my coffee in a real coffee cup not paper. The coffee was delicious and hot. Then I ordered the avocado toast and that took over 10 minutes. When I got the avocado toast, the bread was ice cold. I thought it was supposed to be toasted. Love the outside seating as well.

This review is solely for the new Summer Banana Cream Matcha Latte! I have tried their matcha beverages in the past, and admittedly been disappointed in their lack of consistency when it comes to properly blending their matcha to a smooth consistency. However, this beverage is on a different level. Light, creamy banana topping with smooth matcha underneath, and dusted with cinnamon on top- this is one of my favorite matcha lattes in Houston. I have slowly been trying them with every milk option available and they are all delicious. Not too sweet and not a hint of fake banana sweetness. I will be incredibly sad when this drink moves out of rotation so I am drinking it as much as possible until then. The cafe is always clean and pretty, and because I order mine ahead on an app it is easier to walk in and grab. I recommend it to all of my matcha friends.

Replacing another coffee shop, this spot is clean, bright, serene (leaning into the calming blue and aqua color scheme), and filled with almost convincing faux plants. Now, like most restaurants and cafes at the moment, they're understaffed, but trying their best. I came in, and placed an order to go. Two coffees, an avo toast and a breakfast burrito. My entire experience, preorder to receiving my order was well beyond 10 minutes, I'd say about 20, but my order was correct, and everyone was nice. I would have appreciated expectation being set incase I was in a hurry, but again, I think they're trying their best. Since the franchise is not from the states, here are a few helpful notes: Magic=cortado piccolo=espresso shot filled to top with milk in a traditional macchiato 4oz cup. Flat white and long black- try the flat white if you like Cortados and lattes. Try a long black if you're an Americano fan. Our coffees were fine, and the food was good, but my fav part was their visible equity pride and blm window clings. For that reason alone, I'll be back to try more!

now this bluestone lane location knows how to do it!! i work just a couple stores down, so i come here all the time and all of the staff has been so friendly every time. i just had the lean protein bowl and it was absolutely amazing!!

Very disappointed with the Blue Stone Lane location at Post Oak Plaza. My wife ordered a smoothie that was completely bland, lacking any flavor. On top of that, the restrooms were extremely dirty, and the overall cleanliness of the café was unacceptable. Dirty floors, smudged windows, and a general sense that the place isn't well-maintained.

Amazing coffee and food . Service is fast and very friendly environment!!! Definitely worth of a drive.

My fave spot to date in Houston for good strong Australian inspired coffee. Great staff and even better coffee! Everyone here is super accommodating and friendly. There's also an app to earn points & rewards :)

A cute little coffee place that's great to meet up or get some work done. It was a bit hard to find at first because the center is going through construction right now but luckily it's still open and there's plenty of parking. The coffee is pretty good and a decent price. I got an iced mocha which was good. I love how bold the coffee is and how rich the mocha was. I also like that their menu is pretty varied and you can get smoothies or juice if you're not in the coffee mode and even get some food while you're there. The pastries are also pretty good. I tried the danish and it was delicious! The service was great and the staff working was super friendly. I would definitely come back!

Very cute coffee shop in Post Oaks Plaza! There's a lot of construction around the area right now, so it's not super peaceful, but I'm sure the ambiance will be even better once the work is finished. The barista was super friendly and prepared the coffee quickly. Unfortunately, I didn't love the taste of the coffee--I thought it was way too strong for a latte, and the vanilla syrup they added must have been unsweetened, since I didn't taste it at all. If you enjoy a stronger cup of coffee though, you may enjoy it!

Stopped by Bluestone Lane to grab a quick snack after making returns at UPS. The cafe was extremely clean and well maintained from what I could see and wasn't overly crowded. There were maybe 7 patrons seated; either talking or doing some work on their laptops. I looked through the menu and got help from the cashier on what I should order. I ended up getting the peanut butter and berry toast. It took all of 5 mins for it to be ready and despite it being good, it was almost $7 for a slice of bread. I probably won't ever go back because the prices are outrageous but it makes for a great space to get work done.

Their Chai Latte is more like a cinnamon milk. Can not taste any chair. For $7.00 and slow traffic would think they could do better .

Very happy they substituted a coffee shop for another coffee/brunchy shop! Got the Aussie iced latte and the nitro cold brew! Both were very good. The Aussie iced latte has a scoop of Icecream inside and that's what sweetens the coffee itself. The cold brew was very strong! The sunshine burrito was very good! A little pricy for the size of the burrito, but overall filling and everything inside of it was tasty. They also have smoothies and other breakfast/food items and pastries and cookies as well. They been open for about 3 weeks now. Parking - within the plaza

I met a colleague there for a cup of coffee. I ordered an iced latte with preferably 2% milk. They had neither 2% nor even whole milk, which is typically what a latte is made with. They only had ski. After my very bland iced coffee I ordered what sounded to be a good smoothie and one typical you might find at most higher end smoothie places (i .e. not smoothie king). This had the consistency of a slushy and the taste of water. It was so bland that I went back to the barista and said could they add some additional honey or almond butter. She said 'no' they have a recipe to stick by but that I could order a different one. Well I didn't want a different one, but I suggested they could increase the ingredients to make it taste better. She scoffed at the suggestion. Turned around and totally ignored me. So for me, the food and the service were very very subpar!

I love bluestone! The baristas are so friendly and make the best drinks. I love bringing my friends whenever they visit.

This is my second coming to Bluestone & I'm always impressed with their coffee's deliciousness. They now have 3 locations in the Houston area. Unfortunately, this Galleria location's plaza is under a lot of CONSTRUCTION. It doesn't take away from the inside of the business but the outside is a bit chaotic. Their coffee has a strong smooth finish that's not acidic at all. I got the AUSSIE ICED LATTE & it does come with a scoop of ICE CREAM in the coffee. The ice cream melts & makes the drink more creamy but it doesn't really get sweeter. Melbourne is known as the coffee capital of Australia & the coffee at Bluestone tastes just like what I had when I visited. This location has more of a CAFE VIBE compared to the other locations where it's more of a sit-down restaurant style. However, there are not a lot of OUTLETS here if the plan is to stay awhile.

FINALLY one in Houston!! I've had bluestone in New York and New York has all the cafe places. I'm glad Houston has such a gem now! The nitros are delicious! Must try!! The Aussie latte is great too they also have light pastries and small bites as well!

Got the iced magic. (Basically a latte, but less milk so it was stronger.) The coffee was good. No exotic notes in the coffee, but overall it was better than other coffees. I've had their cold brew at a diff. location and I recommend an espresso drink over cold brew!!

Scorched scrambled eggs, cold poached egg, brown-grey prosciutto, solid (not liquid) vinaigrette, inattentive service.... I was so looking forward to trying Bluestone for brunch, but I was not pleased. Everything seemed to have been taken directly out of the refrigerator, except for the scorched scrambled eggs. The server didn't seem to understand the word "scorched", but eventually I got a replacement order. Unfortunately, I had ordered two sides of eggs. I did not get a refund for the order I did not receive. Live and learn...

Outside was gross. Couch looked like something you would find on the curb completely uncleaned. Could've gotten my masters by the time the barista had even acknowledged our order. 1/3 of the order was the intricate recipe of an ice water. -Chai latte "I think it's good." -Iced chai "Feels like after you eat a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch." Overall 2/5 stars. Only here because we are waiting on another restaurant in the shopping center.

I absolutely their coffee!!! I get the iced vanilla latte pretty much every time and it's always consistent and so yummy! Also love the bacon egg and cheese croissant!!!! The workers are always nice too!

The coffee shop is very clean on the inside, they have a good variety of coffee and tea drinks as well as good food items. The restrooms are well kept and they have good wifi and it's pretty quiet so you can comfortably work from this coffee shop.

What a gem to find this cute little shop. I wanted tea while I'm traveling and didn't want Starbucks. After a quick Google search, I found this cute little coffee shop. When arriving, the menu was very clear and I was greeted and the staff was kind. While waiting for me teas, a gentleman was looking at coffee bags, and I had asked him what his favorite was. He stated this was his first time in, him and his wife are traveling through as well. We got to speaking with the couple, what a wonderful experience in the coffee shop, we met some new friends, as well as enjoyed tea and coffee. The barista was extremely sweet, giving me some extra honey for my teas. It's the little things that matter. I would definitely recommend this spot as a place to relax and drink some tea and coffee do some work or meet up with some friends. Ill be stopping here on my way out of town today again! :)

It may have been an off day. I ordered a drip coffee and it wasn't very hot. I also ordered the croissant egg sandwich. I asked for the eggs to be scrambled soft and the croissant toasted well. They were both the opposite. I will give them another shot as they are just across the street from my hi rise. Hopefully it was just a a bad day.

The nitro cold brew is so delicious and I love all the pastry varieties like sweetz savory, salty etc. The staff is 100% fantastic and they're partly the reason I come back every other day!

Great nitro brew coffee! The breakfast burrito is made fresh and very tasty. The clean and lean bowl is good but small, I recommend the burrito over the bowl. There was a lot of construction going on in the plaza so it was a bit difficult to find but it's there and open.

this is a brand new business in the area. the service was very friendly, and welcoming. i don't drink coffee but i did get a green smoothie and it was delicious. thank you so much!

First visit and the espresso was delicious. I will try a second cup soon. Space was comfortable and service was great.

If you have time to wait, it's great. I placed a mobile order to be ready at 12. I didn't see it on the shelf and when I told the barista she said "okay I see it i'll work on it in a second." Mind you it's already 12:30 at this point.

I am addicted to their nitro cold brew! It's sooo smoothly and so creamy!! I order it with a splash of oatmilk and vanilla. 2 suggestions for improvement- sipping lids. I like to sip the foam from my nitro but they only have the straw lids so I can't do that without taking the whole lid off. Second suggestion- add more syrups! Lastly, their nespresso pods are SO good! I love the dark espresso roast pods. They are cheaper than nespresso pods and just as good or even slightly better. I haven't tried their food yet but it looks good!

Bluestone has the best coffee I've tasted in a while. I love their cold brew and their americanos. They are made perfectly. This particular bluestone has the kindest baristas. The ambience is so upbeat and it's a great place to have meetings. Also, Melissa is the best barista ever she always remembers my order. My favorite coffee spot every time I come to Houston!

Waited in line for 10 mins. When I finally got to the counter she said the kitchen was closed. It was exactly 2:30. I asked what time it closed she said between 2:30-3:00 everyday. I left.

Service is awful and coffee mediocre. You should up your game. I don't think the staff actually cares if customers show up. That bad. Go elsewhere.

The coffee and lattes are great . The food menu is decent for a coffee shop . The costumer service is really poor the communication skills are not the best .

Third time was not a charm and I won't be giving them another try. Customer service is not great, food is overpriced for what it is and the final straw today was the iced chia latte I ordered, it is all milk and ice with no chia. In my other visits I have ordered an iced chia so I know what they look like and taste like. When I questioned my drink as to only tasting like milk and looking like milk the barista wanted to know if I wanted vanilla in it, no I want it to taste like chia not milk or vanilla and he said well I can give you vanilla so I took the drink and left never to return again.

Horrible Customer service. I barely got my smoothie and it fell. They offered to make me a new one so I said yes. Then, at the last min decided to charge me. Good customer service would've offered me a new drink. It's not like I had a discount or coupon. Idk how anything taste because it fell before I could try it.
