I'll have to come back for the fish n chips, when they're not sold out. The fries were well seasoned, and about 1/4 of mine were edible, the rest were blasted. My girlfriend's batch looked and tasted much better. Her burger was fine, nothing special. My chicken fingers were pretty decent, but again, nothing crazy. Nice place to catch a game or have a casual lunch.

Loved the 12$ pizza + salad or soup combo! Best lunch special deal around. Tasty food, fun atmosphere with all the good football games to watch on multiple TVs. A lot of variety on the menu. Service was slow and not always available but they were definitely busy. We will be back especially for some drinks and game day!

Bought food to go and spent almost $80 after tip only to get shorted on food. Tried to call and speak to manager (Ashley) and host that answered the phone, said she was busy and hung up with attitude. Will never get another dollar from me again.

Google
It's really wonderful! The service was fantastic and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. We chose this restaurant because they had gluten-free options, but I was surprised to find they even have marinated tofu!! Spoiler: it's amazing. We had a combo of pizza, calzones, and gluten-free pizza. I've had gluten-free before, and it was tasty, sure. But this was awesome!! I'm guessing they may have used rice flour in the dough? Whatever it was, it was DELICIOUS. They have options to please just about everyone, including vegan, and I'd highly recommend them to anyone!

Google
This place has a really good vibe. Had a decent choice of brews on tap. Food was tasty. My only issue is that they did not have a blender behind the bar for certain types of cocktails.

Google
Went to see "110 in the Shade" AWESOME BAND! They played funk and soul, even some Billy Preston! Every member had soul!! Calzones were delicious!

Bluetick Wasn’t the Problem — You Were I have seen other reviews and this is my response to the newest ones We come to Bluetick all the time, and it’s consistently a chill, welcoming spot with great food, awesome local bands, and a staff that actually tries — even when it’s busy. So when we saw that unhinged review trashing the entire place because someone didn’t get VIP treatment? Nah. Let’s be real. If your biggest issue was a table that needed wiped down, here’s a wild concept: ask someone. It’s a restaurant, not a crime scene. No need to sit there stewing in self-righteous fury while building up a list of complaints to unleash in a Yelp rant. It's never that deep. And going off on a hostess for being young and doing her job? Yikes. That says more about you than it does about the staff. We’ve seen the Bluetick crew handle way worse with patience — maybe too much, honestly. Some of us come here to relax, eat good food, listen to live music, and not lose our minds over minor inconveniences. So if you’re expecting five-star resort service from a casual local spot and can’t handle a little humanity? Maybe the issue isn’t Bluetick. Maybe it’s just… you.

Great pizza and wings. I also had the Tennessee BBQ wings. Amazing flavor and crunch. My hubby ordered TheLocal burger, which was fresh and tasty. Fries were crispy and seasoned perfectly.

Yelp
My husband and I came here last night, after a long travel day. We were both super hungry and not quite sure where to go. He had seen this place last time he was in Maryville and so we decided to check it out. We were both very happy with that decision. Coming in on Saturday night they were crowded but we got lucky with it just being the two of us and were seated right away. Our server was right there to get our drink orders and give us time to figure out what else to get. We ended up ordering the gravy fries, fish and chips and the tap room burger. The gravy fries came out really fast and were delicious. The fries were coated with seasoning and good when you got one by itself. When they were combined with the gravy, pulled pork and cheese they were awesome. The pork was well seasoned and tender. It all reminded me of a version of poutine which was awesome. The fish and chips had a panko crust on them making them nice and crispy and the fish inside was flaky. We did ask for some lemon for it because we like the acidity with the fish. I didn't try the tartar sauce that came with it because I have never been a fan, but my husband liked it. He said it was different from styles he has had because of the capers in it but it was good. The burger was well cooked and has a charbroiled crust on it making it not super greasy which was perfect. We also got it with the balsamic bacon Brussels that tasted really good. Everything we had was really good. The service even with it being busy was awesome. We were asked multiple times how everything was and if we needed anything. The restaurant itself was really fun. The tvs all had games playing on them and the atmosphere was fun and lively. It seems like a great place to grab some food and just hang out.

Yelp
I frequently eat dinner at Blue Tick Tavern. They have the VERY best pizza in the area by far! Last night my wife and I had not so great experience. Hostess was rude when we asked for booth versus a table top due to my hip issues. She actually threw our menus on the table and walked away. They were very busy but our waitress was not very attentive. Ran out of water etc. We will be back but here are a couple of recommendations: 1. Put name tags on everyone working there so we can let management know if there are good and valuable workers as well as improvement personnel. 2. Put all Teammates cell phone in a black velvet bag and when then clock in and give them back when they clock out. The hostess stand had 3-4 girls on their phones laughing and sharing pics. I gave 3 stars only because the Pizza guys are fabulous! Thanks!

Yelp
We stopped in on a Sunday for lunch. As travelers from Orange County, CA, we found this place to be a fun sports bar with a nice selection of beer and food. We had the pulled pork gravy fries and they were delicious. The Local Burger was cooked to perfection and was also very tasty. The service was EXCELLENT and the staff were very friendly. The huge parking lot was great for parking and offered easy access to the downtown area.

Yelp
We've been to Bluetick a few times and really enjoy it. Both the food and service are consistently great. Everyone is friendly and it makes it seem like the people working there actually enjoy their jobs. The Mediterranean Grain Bowl is vegan and gluten free and is substantial and delicious. There is a Vegan pizza that is just sauce and Violife cheese (my favorite!) or the Vegetarian pizza can be made both gf and vegan by subbing regular cheese with the Violife. There is a huge bar, lots of booths and several high tops making for a great bar vibe, they have live music, which we haven't tried out yet.

Yelp
I was pleased with the food and service...we enjoyed ourselves I had a burger it was very good really tasted like a backyard burger from my childhood

Yelp
This place is awesome! Best subs ee have had in years. Definitely a 5 out of 5! Speedy service during a lunch hour was welcomed.....,Coming back soon.

Yelp
pizza order was lost. Upstairs bartender apologized. I got a free pizza, which shows this place does care . The pizza is good too. The crust is so soft, like fresh bread.

Yelp
Went in there with the family awhile back for lunch and everyone really enjoyed their food.Would definitely go back when in the area

Yelp
I held an event for 40 people in the upstairs bar. Pizza and Salad all you can eat. The room was set up perfect and pizza arrive right at time of event- so people could eat and then play games. Everything was done perfectly! Food was great and service was truly outstanding. The manager was very attentive and bartender was so accommodating. This was my second event here and I continue to be impressed. I highly recommend them for large groups and private events! Really good Pizza and hamburgers downstairs too! Great Job!

Yelp
As a Celiac who travels a fair amount I know the risks of eating out. I ask a lot of questions and have to achieve a certain comfort level that the server and kitchen are knowledgeable and care that the food is safe before I eat there. I felt confident when I ordered and even when I took the first big bite of my burger. I was wrong. It was the wrong bun. The kitchen didn't notice, the server didn't notice, only my daughter who also ordered a GF bun noticed. As a result of that one bite I will now suffer several days of stomach pain, nausea, headache, fatigue, itchiness, brain fog and so on. It's not life threatening, but it's life altering. The server apologized a half dozen times, but still charged me the full amount. That was disappointing. So, the warning is to be sure to ask before you eat or maybe go somewhere else that is more careful and caring.

Yelp
Went for lunch with a friend on Tuesday She had a burger and fries I had the chicken Caesar salad Both were excellent Our server was very attentive without hovering Drinks filled up regularly The restaurant was really nice and clean. Wide open with a big inviting bar. Pleasantly surprised that the noise level was well controlled. A wonderful place to eat and very reasonably priced Next time, I'll bring my husband with

Yelp
Not impressed! I got a salad - mostly core, chicken was dry! My husband got shrimp and grits and he really enjoyed them! Bathrooms were not kept and clean! No soap in dispenser!

Yelp
Matthew greeted us with a smile as we entered and sat us in a nice table. Lindsey waited on us and couldn't have been more pleasant! Matthew & Lindsey, you guys rock! We had the Margherita pizza and it was outstanding! We'll be back!

Yelp
We had a great time with friends. We caught a football game and even played pool all while enjoying a good meal. This place has a great atmosphere and fun vibe. Thanks!

Yelp
This place is such a meeting place with a vibe of expectation! The service is always good and the food is eclectic enough for anyone's taste. Their Pizzas are made fresh. My favorite pizza is the White Pie with herbed ricotta and mozzarella. There is always some kind of special new limited item. We have never been disappointed with the service. We have a picky 8 year old grandson and they always accommodate him. We love the pontine and the grit fritters, well, really we love all the appetizers, real comfort food. We bring out of town guests and they are never disappointed. This is in the center of downtown and really a draw for the city.

Yelp
Went here on a double date with friends. Loved the margarita pizza! Everyone else seemed to love the food too! Very friendly staff. Our waitress had great suggestions and was very attentive. My margarita was yummy too!

Yelp
I was just looking for a good place for a beer and some food, and this is what I got. The beer selection was very good. And the waitress actually knew what she was talking about in recommending selections.

Yelp
Awesome place, but service upstairs while watching bands is horrible. Probably the worst I've seen.

Presley A.

Yelp
My little family eats here at least once a week. We love it, of course, that's why we return. I don't typically review when I've had an unpleasant experience, but tonight wasn't the most favorable. We ordered our appetizers within 5 minutes of being seated, and waited 30 minutes for them. The table next to us, though they sat down at least 10 minutes after us, got their appetizer nearly 10 minutes before ours arrived. We ordered chips and salsa and the gravy fries. When they arrived at our table, I'm nearly certain it was a manager that dropped them off. She didn't apologize for the wait, nor offer to compensate for one of the items because they took so long. She actually didn't say anything at all. When our entrees came out, my burger came out 4-5 minutes after my daughters and her dad's entrees. I manage in a high volume restaurant myself, and am always doing table-touches to check in and communicating with our guests when something may be taking longer than normal. I am not dissatisfied with the quality or taste of the food (everything tasted excellent), but I am disappointed in the lengthy ticket times and lack of communication and structure.

Yelp
So first I'll start with the positive: 1. The staff there was very friendly and the bartender was very helpful and attentive. 2. The ambience of the place is fun and it has potential. BUT, The quality of the food was some of the most subpar food I've ever had. This was just cheap, flavorless, poor quality meals that are on the menu. 1. The fried green tomatoes had absolutely no seasoning in the batter/flour and needed salt/seasoning. They smothered it in, again, seasonless marinara sauce. But nothing was flavorful. I'm pretty sure the only salinity you got from the dish was just the Parmesan shavings they put on top as a garnish. It was 2/10 2. The burger patty itself was also no seasoned and needed salt etc. 3. The Italian sandwich had the most cheapest, stale bread roll and I'm pretty sure I didn't even get the red pesto(included on menu) The shredded lettuce was a couple of shriveled, soggy pieces and definitely not worth the price. Honestly a pub sub was more flavorful than this. I feel like this quality of food is not worth a $80 lunch. Please tell your culinary exec to not be afraid of seasoning

Yelp
Wow!! What an incredible dining experience!! Excellent service, food and ambiance! There is an abundance of TVs to watch sporting events, in this instance the TN vs AL game. Danny was a superlative server who waited on us exceptionally well! My wife and I both ordered burgers and they were well prepared with fresh ingredients. The pimento cheese burger I had was especially scrumptious!! We topped our meal off with a large serving of banana pudding which was large enough for both of us to enjoy. I would certainly come back here again and I highly recommend this place, especially if you like to watch football and enjoy an excellent meal!

Yelp
I get great food & service each time I come here. Last night I headed to Bluetick for an early dinner with my party of 5. We often go early to avoid a wait for tables, and we were in luck last night. No wait & immediate seating. We shared an order of the gravy fries, which are always yummy. Then I tried the kale & brussel salad... and my life was changed forever. THIS SALAD IS AMAZING. I switched to the basalmic dressing instead of the orange ginger that normally comes on it. I will have to start coming more often just to order this salad. The rest of my group ordered pizza, pasta, and chicken tenders. Everybody enjoyed their meals!

Yelp
The space is huge. Lots of tables, booths, and a bar downstairs. Less upstairs. But that space was taken over by pool tables, dart boards, pin ball machines, and a foosball table. There was also a private area for parties. The service on the second floor was only good, if you went to the bar to order. Upstairs no one comes to your table. The same for drinks. You had to go to the bar. The one lady upstairs was doing her best, but this place needs two or three people behind that bar. As a tip you can order anything on the menu including the downstairs menu. They will bring it up. The food was ok. I know a lot of other guys at work that rave over this food. It's the cold beers and drinks that bring the rating up for me. At least 15 beers on tap, many other can and bottle options. I enjoyed some local favorites. If you're looking for some decent food, a place to play pool and have some drinks, this is a place for you. Also family friendly.

Yelp
Met a friend here for lunch on a Sunday. Maryville is a halfway point and this place seemed to work out. It's a large space with 2 levels, with a good sized bar on the main level. It's a sports bar, so it's ambiance and noise level were consistent with that. My friend had a pizza and I had the pimento cheese burger. The pizza had a thin crust - which happens to be my preference - and was very good. The burger had a large, juicy patty. I asked for a medium cook and got what I ordered. They had a good selection of beers. The place was fairly busy - first Sunday to start NF season. Service was just OK. My friend ordered a salad to start but it never showed up. Also had to ask for a second beer several times. Overall I would give it 3.5 stars if I could. The food was better than the service, at least in this first visit.

Yelp
Came here last weekend while visiting friends in town (we're from Nashville) & we all enjoyed it! It's a nice chill place and wasn't too crowded on a Saturday at lunch time. As a vegan, I was happy to see multiple options! I got the Mediterranean grain bowl, which was a great veggie heavy option with good flavors, albeit a bit oily. I would order again. There was also a beyond burger (& the menu even said there was dairy free mayo for that upon request which was really cool), as well as vegan cheese for the pizzas! My party all enjoyed their food as well, especially the fried green tomato sandwich. My friend said it was possibly the best sandwich she'd ever had & her husband agreed. The fish & chips and Cajun chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries were also hits. Our server was great, too. Next time we visit the we'll have to stop back in.

Yelp
Fun sports bar theme. Very clean. Staff very efficient and knowledgeable. Food was really good. Glad the ladies at The Shops Homespun recommended it.

Braxton F.

Yelp
Awful. Waitress with red hair is pitiful at her job. Called my friends and I "assholes" will never go back to this place. Poor waiting staff, awful service, and worse demeanor. I have no idea how a woman who calls her custome's assholes keeps a job. Shame on her. Complete lack of professionalism.

Amy L.

Yelp
Great food and drinks and great service! I recommend the pizza! The crust is amazing!
google avatar

Dav Z.

Yelp
Pizza was pretty good but they left 1.5 -2" of edge crust with no toppings on it. Thats pretty sloppy and results in a very significant loss of pizza size. It turns a 14" pizza into a 12" pizza. That is a loss of servings. Inside of that was a tasty pizza. Adequate toppings and a respectable sauce. This wont be my local goto, Gondolier probably will get that spot (still looking though). However, I might still order a pizza if I were enjoying some drinks here. Service has always been solid when I have dined here. The other food I have has has been very good.
google avatar

Jess C.

Yelp
Not quite 4 stars but because the service was fantastic he bumped it up. The food was ok. I wouldn't really recommend this place per se. The food came out luke warm. They had one local burger option with local meat and cheese which was nice to see. They were able to accommodate a friend with food allergies so thank you for that! The lettuce was shredded, weird for a fancy-looking bar/restaurant. The place was busy so must be a local favorite, I've lived a lot of places so maybe I'm just a food snob, hahahah! It wasn't bad but I just expected more, maybe they prefer to spend money on the decor rather than making the food a little higher quality.

Yelp
My first trip in was today. It will not be my last. I ate a simple lunch and ordered a house salad with a kick ass Bacon Brussels app. The beers and bar staff are top notch. The Kitchen is open ended so you can see the action take place. The entire upstairs is an entertainment venue that opens @ 5pm with live music scheduled for the weekends. Having Pool tables, games, and a stage upstairs while maintaining a great restaurant with a relaxed gastro pub feel downstairs is a smart approach and a nice combo. I can't wait to check out the upstairs. Don't miss this place. They have an eye on music history and regional heritage that is refreshing, and done with respect. Check em out.

Alex R.

Yelp
Management sucks the food isn't that good except for the wings and pizza everything else is bad
google avatar

Matthew H.

Yelp
Not as good as you once were, but still a good place. I miss the grit fritters and was definitely looking forward to this, but you no longer serve it. The burger was good and the service was good. Solid 4 stars.

Yelp
This place has gotten a lot better in the last 3 months.... Different menu with great additions like Brussels sprouts....and pretzels and some amazing cheese dip... also a fried green tomato sandwich with pimiento cheese on top... very good... still a good atmosphere and friendly staff.... service has always been good and great location
google avatar

Jeff R.

Yelp
I do love this place. Great selection of adult beverages and the food is almost always on point. This particular visit however, my fried green tomatoes were so thin I could hardly tell there was any tomato in the breading.
google avatar

Yelp
Blue tick tavern, formerly Barley's, is phenomenal food and atmosphere. We have been frequenting this establishment for years. The service is good depending upon the waiter/waitress. IMO the best items on the menu are the Hoff pizza and the local burger. The upstairs area is a bar with pool tables and dart boards with live music at times. You can even go upstairs and order food from the bar. If you have a military ID they give military discount. The reason for the 4 out of 5 review is that when they were Barley's their menu was better and they removed one of my family's favorites from the menu, grit fritters.

Yelp
In town for a Tennessee game with my Dad, nephew and Brother-in-law and the day after went in search of a good spot to watch the SAINTS play - and after a number of phone calls finally found this place..... What a GREAT spot! It has a huge dedicated parking lot, and two stories of bar, restaurant, games room, party room/music venue - and plenty of televisions for sports watching. We wandered upstairs where I started off with a Lagunitas Brown Shugga - and I ended up riding that train the rest of the afternoon - although the spirits selections were very good. Ordered the fish (cod) and chips with double slaw - both of which were very nicely done. The fish had a great panko crust and was moist and fresh inside. The slaw was well balanced - not too wet and not too dry. After the saints won - we hung around and played a couple games of pool on some very well maintained tables (4 in total) and noted that darts and pinball were also available. All in all a very cool spot - plenty of space for a big group, private parties, live music - etc. Would definitely be a hangout for me if I lived here!
google avatar

Jen H.

Yelp
While I've been coming here for years and it's been one of my favorite places in town, it just seems like the last 6 months things just haven't been as good. They took some of our family favorites off the menu and it seems like the quality has been in decline. About every other pizza me or my extended family orders is burnt on the bottom and sometimes the pieces are mostly crust. The gravy fries are still good, and they have added some vegetarian options if you're into that, but I just miss what the place used to be.

Yelp
We came here for lunch in a Saturday. It was not too busy and we were seated right away. The server was friendly and quick with taking orders. The food service was a little slow. We had a one year old baby with us that was getting a little impatient. I ordered the beyond burger with broccolini and it was very good. The broccolini was not bitter like it can be sometimes. The beyond burger was good, but it was your standard beyond burger. Overall we had a good experience.

Hannah K.

Yelp
It's a good thing their food is really good, because their service is not. It's a nice location right on Main Street. I've had pizza (really good - they have several options for people who can't eat tomatoes which is awesome, I got the chicken pizza with olive oil and garlic base), and my husband liked the fried tomato sandwich. I tried his sweet potato fries, they were REALLY good. My mom loved her pizza too. I've gone in person once and gotten to go a few times. I made the mistake when in person of going in right when they opened. They weren't ready to open, first of all. Nobody greeted us or helped seat us for awhile. My menu was dirty and needed wiped down, the bathrooms were in the middle of being cleaned so my mom had to wait to use them. The server told me 25 minutes after I ordered coffee that she didn't have any because the machine was broken. It took 25 minutes to determine that?! I think she just forgot to brew it. Which also should have been done before open, right? She took about 10 minutes to greet us too, so we were ready to order our food immediately - but nope, no time, I gave her my drink order and tried to start my next sentence and she just walked away. It made my mom laugh. I wanted the dirty menu off the table, lol! It could have been worse. I'd just really love this place if they upped their service game a little bit.

Yelp
This is my first time back since they re-branded (from Barley's to Bluetick). I debated 4 vs. 5 stars but have to go with 5 because basically, this is a BAR but with excellent food. If I had gone with 4 stars, my main suggestion would have been that they use Benton's bacon instead of regular bacon. But that's being rather picky, maybe....the dishes we had with bacon were still delicious! It's a large space, with plenty of extra room upstairs....so even though it was crowded, we got in and seated promptly. We had fried green tomatoes-- frankly, I prefer the other types of sauces usually covering them. They used a regular deep red tomato sauce instead, but the taste was still good. We then shared a small pizza and the carbonara dish and had plenty for take-home, after we were both very full. Service was wonderful, food was tasty...and just minutes from our home, so we could enjoy the extra beer from their extensive bar menu. This is not a 5-star restaurant in terms of creativity and craft, but a solid place with good food and drink for a great price-- I think that's worth the extra star. But....if you read this, owners, my only two words are "Benton's bacon."
google avatar

Tina C.

Yelp
I wish I had made a photo of the $15 burger, it was such a I joke that we laughed about it. Burger King would have been better. A plain patty on a bun with 2 strips of purple onion. They forgot my cheese and the kitchen did not have it for the server to bring out for 20 min. Don't bother going and waiting $15
google avatar

Jerry L.

Yelp
Well..:it all started out well being seated quickly early on a Friday night. Our waitress was very prompt and got us drinks. The place went downhill from there...I ordered the Local Burger and my wife the Fish and Chips. I ordered my burger medium and it came out pretty much well done; no pink and charred on the outside. The replacement came out medium rare. I accepted that one as I didn't want to try a third time. My wife's F&Cs were sub-par at best: the crust was thick, and over done, almost inedible. I made comments at the end to the waitress and she said "ok" thinking she would inform management. If she did, they didn't seem concerned as no one came by the table to ask any questions...I know this...if a customer has two issues for a table of two it should always deserve some investigating and concern if there is a kitchen issue, but no, no one seemed concerned. Sorry, But this is probably our last time here.

Yelp
Went here for lunch with my mom yesterday. We had a perfectly lovely lunch. I had the local burger & she has the bbq pork sandwich. It was good - nothing spectacular. The space is large & they have an upstairs area for music and events. I would definitely come back.

Sam Z.

Yelp
It has pool tables and cold beer , their pizza is nothing to write home about though .

Yelp
We went for dinner on Friday night and ordered salmon. It was listed as being served with quinoa and rice, which I cannot eat. The server was very helpful and got it switched to something I can eight at no additional charge. The food was very good, the environment and atmosphere was good, a fundraiser event was going on upstairs but did not interfere with diners on the main floor, and it was a pleasant experience
google avatar

Yelp
Wow the food was amazing everything we ordered was delicious, the waiter was fantastic we had so many drinks on our table it was ridiculous never once had to ask for a refill. If we lived anywhere near here this would be a go to place for us.

Yelp
Friendly and prompt service. Cool atmosphere. Food is good and menu is creative. Have been twice. Will go back.

Yelp
Pastrami sandwich. Black bean Hummus. Shrimp skillet. Caesar. All TOP NOTCH! Good chill vibes
