Blume Restaurant

We recently had the pleasure of celebrating our Kooroomba Christmas Party at Blume Restaurant, and it was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. The food was exceptional — every dish was crafted with so much care, creativity, and flavour. You can truly taste the passion that goes into their menu. We had a 6 course meal, and gosh, I have never liked food more The Iced Tomato Consomme, was something very new I have never tried before, but wow it was amazing. The yellow fin tuna, with Crème fraiche & wasabi oil, omg never had salmon before, you have opened my eyes to a whole new world. The potato sarladaise, savoury yeast, dried vinegar, was something truly different. wow Blue eye trevalla, curried spring greens, & turnip brurre blanc, was the greatest thing I have ever tasted, and I am not a seafood fan but oh my goodness, Margra Lamb neck, fig leaf, nasturtium caper sauce, was a dish I will remember for ever, paired along side the sugarloaf cabbage, black garlic, pepitas, Towri pecorino, I have no words And to finish off all of the stunning food, and I was starting to get full by the end, we had the Marscarpone ice cream, rhubarb, almond, & apple marigold, the combination of flavours was outstanding The service was just as impressive. The team made us feel so welcome and looked after, creating the perfect atmosphere for our celebration. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and everything flowed effortlessly. (Neil) you are great, truly a sassy man. couldn't thank you enough for your amazing service. The space itself is warm, intimate, and beautifully presented — the ideal setting for a festive gathering. Our entire team left feeling impressed, happy, and already talking about when we can return. To Jack and his incredible team you have truly created something absolutely magical within our little town, keep up the spectacular work Thank you, Blume, for such a memorable and delicious experience. We can’t recommend you highly enough!

Blume is a standout for Boonah. The food is thoughtful, well-executed, and clearly built around local produce rather than trends. You can taste the care in every dish. Nothing feels overworked or too showy. James is producing some confident dishes that let the ingredients do the work. The drinks list deserves special mention. A strong focus on Australian wines and local producers, with options that actually pair well with the menu. It feels curated, not padded. Service was genuine. Warm, relaxed, and knowledgeable without trying too hard. The whole experience feels connected to the region rather than imported from somewhere else.

Just book it. Everyone should experience Blume. An unforgettable degustation, elevated by service so professional and gracious it genuinely makes you happy to be there. Each course was outstanding, and the wine pairings so impeccably chosen that when the sommelier asked which was our favourite, I hesitated — I simply couldn’t choose. Later, walking back to our Airbnb cottage, we couldn’t stop talking about the tomato consommé, the zucchini pickle tart, the crumpet, the Tasmanian wine— and that champagne and oyster beginning! Every detail was perfection. Thank you, Blume, for an extraordinary evening.

Blume did not disappoint! Went with my sister and loved the new spring menu, especially the cheese and pickle tart, fish and beef cheek and Sprouts! Special mention to Neil, our waiter and sommelier. His wine pairings were perfect and the non-alcoholic option was just as amazing. Incredible food and service, can't wait to go back, thanks Guys!

Always exceptional. We're semi-regular diners at Blume and we always arrive with high expectations - which never fail to be exceeded. The current winter menu may yet be my favourite. Jack and the team delivered across the board. We are so lucky to have such an exceptional dining experience so close to home. (As tends to happen, I forgot to photograph all courses yesterday because I just wanted to taste them - and even when I remembered, I may have started on them...)

From the space, to the service, to the drinks, to the food, Blume is simply immaculate. Such a gorgeous gem of a restaurant in the unsuspecting area of Boonah. So glad we were able to visit on our weekend in the scenic rim. We will be back!

I’m already looking forward to trying the next season’s menu! The food is phenomenal, beautifully presented, and it all had such interesting & delicious flavour combinations. Our whole table had a fantastic time at the lovely rustic venue, shout out to Neil for his outstanding service. The drinks menu is well-curated, and the tasting menu is well-balanced. I’m still thinking about the chilled tomato consommé. Definitely an essential trip out to the Scenic Rim.

what a great restuarant! food was fantastic, the hosts friendly, and such a historic building. well worth driving all the way from Brisbane for!
