I was really excited to try this new local restaurant, and I truly wanted to love it. The space is beautiful and the service was genuinely great, from the hostess to the servers, everyone was attentive and friendly. Unfortunately, the food just didn't live up to the atmosphere.
For appetizers, we ordered the pretzel bread with butter and the wagyu meatball. The pretzel bread was surprisingly disappointing I'm not sure how bread can go so wrong, but it lacked flavor and just fell flat. The wagyu meatball came in a sauce that was honestly one of the most unpleasant flavors I've ever tried.
We also ordered the Caesar salad, which wasn't tossed in dressing and came with soggy croutons. For mains, we had the mashed potatoes and the New York strip steak. The mashed potatoes tasted overwhelmingly of heavy cream and were very salty. The New York strip was cooked perfectly temperature-wise, but there were huge chunks of salt on top that completely ruined the bite.
At that point, we decided to skip dessert, we were originally planning to order it, but after every single dish missed the mark, it didn't seem worth it.
Overall, beautiful restaurant and great service, but the quality of the food just did not match the experience or the vibe. I hope they can improve, because this place has a lot of potential.
