CASH ONLY As an Instructor, this is the go to place. I take my clients the only authentic and affordable restaurants you can find in the whole of Niseko . If you’re looking for a quick stop to get a good and enjoyable meal, this is the place to go however to get here you will have to take the black slope down from the main King gondola Hill down or alternatively you can also take the king pea chairlift up and walk over. From 12 o’clock to 130 this place is usually very rammed so either go before these times or after these times due to peak lunchtime and also Ski lesson times. Very little beats a hot Japanese meal for lunch during a ski trip. The food’s really good here. It’s the standard get a ticket then exchange the ticket for food kinda shop here. Also would be great to go earlier, around 11pm or before if you want to skip the crazy lunch crowd! The curry rice is really good. Would also recommend the miso soup as well since the rice doesn’t come with miso soup. Hot chocolate is great too. Cash only everywhere in the shop. There’s a vending machine at the back if you wanna grab some quick drinks

This is tucked away on the mountain have to ski to it, which was really fun. Place was really crowded, but we found a spot no problem. You just pay at one of the machines and then bring your ticket up to the counter. I thought the Ramen was really solid and Loved my rice with salmon roe.

I've been here several times over the years. The owner is said to have been the first Japanese person to have climbed Mount Everest and he still works there! Katsu: crispy breading and good cut of meat. Fat is easy to eat around and you get a clear flavor. A classic done well. It could've been a tiny bit hotter. (What I had today) Soba with vegetables: i can't remember too much of this one as I had it last year but it was what it said it was. Very warming and nice to have with good textures and flavors. Chicken and eggs: my instructor said that this one was very good! There are pickled vegetables and ginger you can add to your dishes. You can pick between regular size and large. There is also an area to purchase snacks and little things. Even though we came early (11:45), it was still crowded with a bit of a wait for both seats and to order food. Despite that, food service itself is very rapid. It is a little difficult to find seating as it is quite a popular but small spot. They only take cash (as of posting this). I will continue coming here in the years to come!

Bo-yo-so was the best meal I’ve ever had on a ski slope. Over my few days in Niseko I came here a few times and tried the katsudon, the curry soba, and the ramen. The ramen was easily my favorite. Something about snowboarding a full morning, entering this little hut with natural light flooding in and mogging a bowl of ramen along with some sake had my spirit at peace. It’s honestly pretty cheap for mountain food too, 1400 yen for a bowl of Hokkaido style ramen. Cash only tho. For however long I am blessed to live on this earth, I will always look back on this memory fondly. This Grand Hifaru mountain cafe is only accessible via black slopes. Super packed during lunch, either go very early or very late. CASH ONLY vending machine. Lots of choices. The ebi-krage is fantastic.

Crappy, crowded restaurant with rude staff who pretended that we didn’t order the right thing and said “your mistake” and just ignored us afterwards. We had to line up for another 15 mins to order another bowl of udon at the end, but the curry turned out to be watery and had limited ingredients - just plain sauce. The restaurant was so crowded that people had to put their bowls on their laps to eat. Cash only. Pretty dirty as it was all self service with no staff helping to clean up at the dining area. I think the only routes to get here is via black slopes, but there could be other ways. Overall, Do not recommend.

Great atmosphere to have lunch with excellent food. Traditional cash only ticket machines, and as you’d expect it does get crowded. Would recommend getting there by 12.30pm and getting someone to scout out a table whilst waiting in line.
