"This restaurant is remarkable both in terms of its location in an old carriage factory and its ongoing quest to delight diners with its flavoursome cuisine and enthusiasm. Beyond the attractive garden are two minimalist-style dining areas, one overlooking the kitchen, the other, which is cosier, laid out within the stone walls of what used to be the carpentry workshop. Chef Albert Sastregener proposes two set menus and a few of the dishes can also be ordered à la carte. These abound with imaginative and technically sophisticated creations and are respectful of Catalan tradition without excluding international influences. One of his local growers (Hidenori Futami) supplies him with vegetables and shoots native to Japan. There is also the option of booking the Chef's Table with its Chef's Menu for up to four diners." - Michelin Inspector

We celebrated my birthday at this restaurant. The dishes were creative with a consistent message and point of view. We both especially loved the cloud of cotton candy like dish encasing fois gras. I was happy with so many different small bites. The experience also included making some art with our food and playing a game for a prize. This was worth the experience and we look forward to returning in the future.

This is a guided (with a paced, focused) dining experience. It plumbs the delicacies of the region (Catalan, Empordà) in style and source. The creativity and personal interpretation are amply displayed with scintillating effect to eyes, palate and sense of place. This included an excellent local 50cl bottle of local red (Merlot, Cab) at very reasonable price. We derived great pleasure from food, service and surroundings.

Disappointing Experience - Not Up to Michelin Standards We recently dined at Bo.TiC, and unfortunately, our experience fell far short of what we expected from a two-Michelin-star restaurant. Admittedly, we opted for the à la carte menu instead of the full set menu, as we weren’t particularly hungry. However, the dishes we received were mediocre at best. We ordered the fish of the day and the turbot, and to our disappointment, they were nearly identical dishes—lacking in creativity and flavor, especially at €80 each. Even at €60, these dishes would have been hard to justify, though I understand that Michelin pricing often reflects more than just the food. The saving grace of the meal was the delightful little snacks at the beginning, particularly the creative presentation with the tree, and the dessert tree at the end. However, these highlights were not enough to salvage the overall experience. Service was another area where Bo.TiC did not live up to its Michelin reputation. The waiter was unhelpful during the ordering process, offering no guidance or explanations about the dishes. This lack of assistance led to us inadvertently ordering two very similar mains. Additionally, there were several moments where items were dropped or clashed, which detracted from the refined atmosphere one expects at this level. After discussing the meal with my partner, we agreed that Bo.TiC was worth half a Michelin star at best and ranked at the bottom of our list of Michelin-starred restaurants we’ve visited. It’s disappointing to leave such a review for a restaurant of this caliber, but we felt it necessary to share our honest experience.

The service was fantastic; the food textures and tastes were amazing. An ode to the cuisine of the emporda region using premium produce with excellent execution. Will definitely repeat.

Everything at Bo.Tic was exceptional from the start. The minute we walked in and got a tour of the kitchen to the warm and unpretentious way the hostess welcomed us, to the excellent and attentive staff, made for a memorable experience. Come hungry, it may look like tiny food but it fills you up fast. Every bite we took, transported us to a feeling of familiar nostalgia or evoked a feeling. It was exciting, decadent, wonderful and yet comforting. The food looks like art and they take pride in what they do. The dining room is modern and sparse and the attention to detail is amazing. If you are visiting Girona or Barcelona, make the trip to Bo.Tic and you will be enthralled.

From the moment we arrived, every member of the team was dedicated to making the experience a memorable one: explaining the chef’s menu, keeping our glasses full. The menu was too varied and inventive to list in full here but everything was prepared and presented to the very highest standards, using local and seasonal ingredients. I could not speak more highly of this place! Oh, and I also got engaged, so that was nice, too 😆

Probably better than 3 Stars! Bravo! Loved every moment! Truly creating experiences! Fantastic twist to the local and traditional food! Great service and of course, produce! Oh, and the wine was perfect! Thank you so much BoTic!

Yelp
What an INSANE restaurant. First of all, it's in a small tiny town that you'd never expect to hold a 2 Michelin star restaurant. Parking is right around the corner. The set up us beautiful and very quiet inside. Such a cool experience to dine at the chef's table in the kitchen. The food had me drooling every time a plate came. The attention to detail and the thoughtfulness behind each decision is carefully explained with every plate that is brought to you. Many bites have a combination of exquisite tastes that you'd never think to merge and are mind-blowing. My favorite was the cotton candy with foie. One of the people in our party had a dietary restriction and the way they addressed it and adjusted the plates was very creative. We even bought a copy of their book. If I can come back here next summer, I will!!

Yelp
This restaurant has made all the other restaurants in my orbit mediocre. The locale is very nice, the service was excellent and the food deserves a third Michelin star. Every dish was so special I can't really pin point one. I did have some favorites like the corn cotton candy with foie. The bread! Oh the bread! I will definitely come

Yelp
What an amazing experience! We came here for a 50th birthday celebration with a party of 8. There is a beautiful terrace which looks great for smaller parties but they put us at a round table (which we always try to request for big parties) next to the wine room and kitchen which was perfect. The service was some of the best we have ever experienced including servers with black gloves. We ordered the special tasting menu with each course accompanied by a different wine. Our party was in awe of each course, both in terms of presentation and taste. The plates looked like works of art but more importantly the flavors were incredible. One of the people in the party is more of a simple eater but he said he loved everything. These are small plates but we were all full at the end. The owner/chef came out and greeted us. Don't miss this amazing experience.
