The absolute best sandwiches EVER. Consistently amazing and that sauce on the side is so good. They’re always fresh and delivered quickly with amazing service. The vegetarian sandwich is my favorite of all time.

ordered a gluten free wrap and got bread😞 very disappointed. had to chop it all up to make a salad instead, luckily i’m not fully celiac otherwise the cross-contamination would’ve had to thrown it away. Got no sauce in the bag too. down bad

Seems like a lot of employees goofing off at this establishment. Too many workers for the amount of customers. Where's the Manager? Two girls filling sauce cups when there were hundreds in tubs below the counter...a huge waste of paying employees with nothing else to do. A guy working in the kitchen came back from the outside and started handling sandwiches - he didn't wash his hands or put gloves on before touching the food baskets or the to go bags. Yuck! He was passing around some kind of breath mints to the other employees after he put one in his mouth - the chance of touching salvia is pretty great! Again, yuck! I lost my appetite honestly! Won't be returning to this particular establishment. Again, where is the Manager??

Went by there yesterday. Ordered 3 sandwiches. I noticed the women in the kitchen not wearing hair nets or let alone anyone else. I'm sitting enjoying my sandwiches, and I almost bite a jalapeño with a giant hair on it. I was so disappointed because it was so good. My appetite was gone after I saw it. I'm hoping they get their stuff straight.

This is good place for picking up a quick bite and a beer 🍺. Our party ordered veggie sandwich 🥪 and chicken sandwich 🥪 with grilled onions. Both 🥪 were fresh and tasty. Remember ask for your bread to be toasted; it will taste so much better! The staff is very friendly too! #msperatv

When we are in Carlsbad, CA, we often order sandwiches at Board & Brew. Every time we eat here, we leave feeling good about the food in their relaxed atmosphere. Their staff has always been welcoming and helpful. Dining tables and chairs are inside and outside on a patio. We like to eat outside to feel a gentle breeze that makes the lunch relaxing on a nice day. Tables and chairs in both areas show social spacing now. Inside this restaurant is a small bar that serves alcohol. There are chairs around the bar area where the bartender works. A soft drink fountain is on the other side of the room from the bar. This visit to Board & Brew happened around 4:00 PM. Thus, we arrived before the late afternoon crowd. That timing allowed our sandwiches, "Turkey Club" and "Vegi Supreme," to be ready without delay. My Turkey Club sandwich was on a fresh 7.5-inch French stick roll. A sandwich that large is more than I can eat in one sitting. If you like to take what is left, this is made easy at their soda fountain counter, where a box of aluminum wrap and sandwich bags are available for travel. This sandwich shop is in a small corner of this busy shopping center along the entry street at the edge of the parking area. We always find a parking space. However, around mealtimes, the parking gets harder to find, and the waiting line shows people often queued up in the ordering line.

This hits the spot for lunch. They got decent salads and great sandwiches . The staff is super efficient and friendly . Annnnd they have coke products not the gross petpea stuff . I don’t drink beer but the people that do seem to enjoy their selection. They don’t have a ton of seating indoors so when it gets busy you got to be prepared to park it outside . My favorite are their hot sandwiches .

Amazing buildout in Bressi Ranch! Indoor and outdoor seating. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Line moves fast and efficiently. I love the turkey in spinach wrap and my son’s fav is Baja Chicken! Salads are amazing. Always clean and excellent brewed iced teas!

Simple comment I've been a long term customer and wanted to reiterate their product and service has always been excellent ...which is why my family frequents this restaurant. Also, Connor and all the kids working here are great ambassadors to the company...

One of my absolute favorite sandwich spots! I always order the California Delight with bacon & it never ever disappoints. So delicious & flavorful! The special sauce is the perfect tangy pair to the salty & savory sandwich. If they toasted the bread, it would make this the perfect sandwich to me.

This Board And Brew is my favorite partly because it's so close to Trader Joe's. Lol, but I also love the service and the smiles that you get at this particular location. The amount of meat and other ingredients on the sandwiches has suffered the same as many many restaurants, less food, more money. But if I'm being completely honest, I really just love the orange sauce. There I said it. I always have one in my refrigerator and try to figure out what other food I can put it on, but I always come back to the Baja beef. Good unit! Oh, and huge parking lot... Free

Have I ordered this sandwich twice in two days? Yes. I am giving this spot a 4 star because I ordered out and I can't tell you what the experience is like eating in. What I can tell you is this place makes great sandwiches! The potato salad was a bit too bland for me, but their sandwiches are fresh and pack flavor. I will definitely be ordering from here one more time before I leave town tomorrow!

We were in town for a wedding and the wedding crew (about 20 people) needed a quick bite and this place was it! Their menu for sandwiches is just enough and the prices are very reasonable. The baja chicken was probably everyone's favorite followed by the roast beef. Considering we were a very big group, they served us pretty fast and the sandwiches came out in less than five minutes. Everything was pretty tasty and again- just impressed with the prices especially for the size of the sandwiches! They also have beer on tap.

Normally love this place but here I am outside the Carlsbad location 10 minutes before 8 on Sunday four other people and myself walk in just to be told we are closed told him it's before 8 and shrugged his shoulders and said we are close. I run a restaurant and I take customers right up until closing seriously 5 customers and you tell them no. Well I'm done with my review and 2 minutes before 8.

I stopped in for a quick lunch and wasn't sure what to order, so I asked the cashier. He recommended the Turkey Club so I went for it. The bread...oh em gee...the bread. So soft and fresh with a perfect bit of bite on the outside. The Turkey was sliced super thin and layered to perfection. And the bacon? 10/10 They kept talking about how awesome the sauce is so I tried it. I think it's just hype IMO. Kind of like ketchup and Mayo mixed together. Nothing earth-shattering, but that is fine by me because the sandwich is slapping.

Really cool spot in downtown Carlsbad. A must stop on the way to the beach. Can't beat the $5 beers!

I am a loyal Board and Brew customer. I seek them out as a great spot after the beach, softball tournaments, etc. I love a good sandwich and a beer. Food: The sandwiches and sauce are perfect as always. The SAUCE is amazing. On hot days I get the turkey club, on colder days I get the spicy beef. I drown them both in the sauce. Beer: This Board and Brew consistently has the WORST beer line up of all of them. Thus the 3 stars. Today, they had Elysian Spacedust and Stone Delicious. I can get those to shit beers at any dive bar. I guess I would get sandwiches to go here. Ambiance: This BnB has a great patio in the back. I think they have a patio, but this restaurant does heavy take business, so there is a lot of people standing around, the patio lets you escape that. Parking is super easy at this location, and that is not true for the other one in Carlsbad. Even the Encinitas location's parking lot is full all the time.

We are loyal board and brew customers over the years. Food: Consistent, good quality, not comparable to subway or Jersey mikes in any way. They use good quality white loaf bread and fresh vegetables. Their meats are well seasoned and cooked. They have a selection of local beers and Dirty chips. Service: Order at the counter and have a seat, they bring your food out to you when ready. They're usually available for requests like sauce or napkins. They get pretty busy at peak times. Ambiance: Nice patio seating and indoor tables, some high tops. They have a bar with a TV as well. Very relaxed and family oriented. Price: $40 for 2 hot sandwiches, 2 drinks, 2 chips. I think the price reflects the quality, I don't feel chapped for $40 for lunch here. Overall we've never had a bad experience. I usually get the Baja chicken, or the veggie delight on a spinach wrap. You can also order ahead on their website.

Awesome sandwiches, always full of friendly helpful employees and great beer! We have never had a less than stellar experience, food is always tasty, freshly made to order. Cold craft beer on tap if that's your thing, and a small bar to hang out and watch some sports ball! Always clean, quick service and good vibes

Love this place. We easily get food here once a week. If the food is prepared correctly it's great. The problem is they mess up orders FAR too much. Went in at 830. Very few people there. Ordered 2 sandwiches. First I was specific. No mayo no lettuce no tomato no cheese. Was on the ticket. Got home after they closed. It was ALL on there. Which my son won't eat. So annoying. There's $12 down the drain. Frustrating.

I'm not sure I can ever again eat here, and we've been going to the Village and Bressi Ranch locations for 25-ish years. Went to the Bressi location tonight 8/17 around 7:45. Sat at the bar and ordered a beer and sandwich. Around 8pm the kid working the bar started closing out his cash register, counting out the bills and coins. I left him alone as he was counting. Then he moved along to the trash, pulling out the full bag, hauling it to the dumpster, and putting in a new bag. At this point I asked for another beer. He reached for a glass and poured from the tap and set it down in front of me. HE NEVER WASHED HIS HANDS before resuming his serving duties!! I watched very closely...he only touched the bottom half of the glass, but of course the tap handle. There were 3 empty beer glasses on the bar that he collected, and rinsed in a sink of dirty water. Then he wiped his hands on his t-shirt. This is the closest he came to any actual "hand washing". He then told his co-worker he was going to "take care of the bathrooms"...not totally sure what that entails, but he brought out more trash that got stuffed into another receptacle. About this time a customer came in to order to-go, so then he was working the register. I asked for my bill, and you can be sure I didn't use the pen he provided to sign my receipt!! I wrapped up my leftovers myself. At the time I was walking out, this kid was bagging up the to-go order and handing it to the customer. I watched ALL OF THIS, and never ONCE did this server WASH. HIS. DAMN. HANDS!!! Is food handling safety no longer practiced?! Do these servers not have to get certificates anymore? I was utterly appalled and disgusted. There's no excuse for this. There did not appear to be a manager on the closing shift, otherwise I would've had a conversation with him/her.

Had the "Tukado" and my brother had the chicken wrap, both highly recommended! Super packed during lunch time. But good food.

Restaurant was clean, setup was organized. Associates were courteous to the customers & each other! Ordered the Supreme Veggie without onions & mayo. They got that right but forgot the sprouts. The sandwich was still yummy but definitely I missed the sprouts! Great potato salad! Red potatoes, sweet pickle relish, with a little Dijon? Just how I like it, not goey. Thank you!

!!!DISGUSTING!!! I have so much to say about this place..none of them are good. First of all, the unprofessionalism of the workers and how they treat their costumers. Recently they've implemented a change where they don't put sauce automatically in your order unless the costumer asked for it. Which is perfectly fine. It could be part of the new California ordinance. But when you asks for sauce they give you so much attitude and most of the workers are snobby. They give you dirty looks and roll their eyes when you ask for sauce.... This has happened not once or twice, but multiple occasions! The only reason I keep coming back is because I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt. Maybe that person is just having a bad day... Today, I ordered one of their specialty sandwich. Which I have ordered multiple times in the past as well. However, this is the first time I was ever served, raw meat!! It's supposed to be roast beef, not raw beef. Very disappointed. And that's after the snarky cashier who made it a struggle just to ask for sauce due to her attitude!

Quick lunch stop while grocery shopping in Bressi Ranch. I had the turkey club with a tea. The sandwich is really good size. My wife and I half the sandwich and shared. Their sauce is a game changer for sandwiches. I'll certainly come back again. Nice day to stop while a farmers market was going on outside. Nice music while eating in the outdoor area.

Brews aren't expensive which range from $7-10 generally, this is cheap for a spot right next to the beach man. I can grab a sandwich w/ a beer for under $20 next to the beach in Carlsbad? wtf is this is lit. I got the light beer which was good for a light chill day, something you sip on with a heavy wheat side. The IPA hits well and its haziness can help you relax into the beach as you walk. Their draft selection is around 10 and they all seem solid; something for every palate. Sandwich sauce is free and it tastes like a smoky thousand island sauce, most likely with horseradish/dijon mustard plus a lot of sugar. It does make the sandwich better, I like it. Even tastes great with tortilla chips lol I'd definitely come here if I am having a trip to SD and want to enjoy some Carlsbad/Oceanside vibes with a sandwich and a beer for under $20!

Love this place. Best sandos hands down! Always busy for lunch, but worth it. They are also awesome SMHS football supporters. Great vibe, great food, great staff.

I've been to a lot of Board & Brews and I love their food but my favorite is the Board & Brew Bressi Ranch- I mean the sandwiches are always awesome but Bressi has the coolest people, even when they are slammed they always have a smile on their face. Their outdoor patio is great too, it's kind of tucked in a corner so it's got a great feel, plus I can bring my dog cause it's outside. Just an all around good vibe and yummy food!

Sourdough bread was stale and stiff. We love this place but were disappointed today when we got our to go sandwich home to find they used stale bread that was stiff to the touch. If we were eating at the restaurant we would have sent it back. Guessing they used their stale bread for to go orders but in any case we didn't like it.

Delicious sandwiches and special sauce. Love the tuna sandwich as well as the turkey wrap.

Excellent food, service, and value! Last night at 5:00pm I placed a catering order online for over 30 people, it had to be ready shortly after they opened the next morning. I was nervous that I had waited til the last minute. Especially because I needed to make multiple modifications to sandwich types, and one pretty nit-picky request for onions and mayo to be included on the side. Everything was ready on time, perfectly, and labelled in a helpful way. They even put all the individually labelled bagged lunches in bigger bags that were also labelled to make it easier to carry. The pick up took less than a minute. Thank You!! And - of course - the sandwiches are always delicious. This is my go-to place for catering large work events or lunches. Go HERE!

We've been visiting board & brew for years love supporting them! I think they added a couple new menu items... the Hamcado and San Diegan. I don't remember seeing these before but the new San Diegan is definitely a welcome addition! My hubby usually gets the turkado on squaw, but the new San Diegan already comes on squaw... plus has bacon! He has a new fave.

Nice place, nice staff. I was surprised that they only had bagged chips and no fries- but ok. The Beef Dip and the Baja Chicken were both very good.

Love this location. Always clean!!! Smells so good right when you walk in. The potato chips slap!! The beer on tap is so amazing. Sick soda selections as well. The house made sauce is amazing. Thinly sliced meat packed in the bread with just the right amount of veggies. Chill staff as well. Frequent visitor:)

My review is about my most recent visit. The kitchen staff was blaring Mexican music, whereas rock was being piped through the speakers. The cacophonous result of the competing music was horrendous. I couldn't think, let alone enjoy my meal. I brought it to the attention of the counter staff who made the request to the kitchen to turn down their music, but to no avail. I have been a regular customer, but I doubt I will be returning.

Usually love their sandwiches but only reviewing because of the service. It was our turn to order, and no "Hi, how can I help you" or any greeting at all. I didn't even know if I should wait for her if she was ready or not. I got the vibe of "hurry up and place your order" from the cashier. But after that interaction, I was looking at the screen to pay, I didn't see the card reader at the side and the cashier just stared at me after 30 seconds asking if I wanted to pay. Well duh, of course I would but now I wish I can take back the tip they asked for before completing my purchase. If she was having a day, just take a break because it looked like she didn't want to be there at all. Anyways orange sauce is always the boss.

Delicious! Board and Brew has always been one of my favorite California sandwich shops! Their sandwiches are loaded with fresh ingredients and tons of proteins and toppings!! You have to make sure you try the secret sauce, maybe even bring home a bottle! I no longer have to miss Board and Brew when I go home from California as they now have a location in Tempe, AZ! I am so grateful to get my fix when I'm at home!

Food and service were good, always pleased with visiting. Pastrami was a little over cooked (slightly on dry side), but other ingredients covered well.

Very good sandwiches here. They are generous with the ingredients (the sandwiches have plenty ofgokd stuffinthem) and the bread is very nice. The food tastes very fresh here. Call it an almost 5 stars. We tried the Tom's Choice (roast beef, turkey, cheese, tomatoes, onions, lettuce, etc.) and it was very good. It's served cold and that's just fine. We also tried the Chicken Club (served hot) which comes with chicken, a TON of bacon, and cheese. It's extremely good. The only negative was the sauce which comes on the side. It's way too sweet, which seems odd for a sandwich spread, so we didn't use it. No big deal. Service was fast and friendly and the prices are reasonable. Solid choice.

I have grown to love Board and Brew over the years and my go to is now their salads. I know it's a sandwich shop, but have you tried their salads?? The tuna is my absolute favorite served with the spicy ranch which has a huuugggeee kick to it and burns my mouth but I can't get enough. I always add red onions to the salad as well and it's so much food that I can never finish it. My husband gets the Cobb with double chicken and extra sweet and sour on the side. It's his 2nd favorite thing behind the turkado sandwich which he also dips in a couple of sides of their famous sauce. Board and Brew is taking all the safety precautions with covid, has a great system in order for pick up and packaging everything nicely to go.

Board and brew is a classic and so very delicious. The Turkado is the best sandwich. But the chicken Ceasar salad is great and always is a bit better with their sauce.

Been getting takeout here for a while and they've never let me down. Always ready at the promised time, well wrapped to preserve freshness for enough time to get it home. I highly recommend getting the Tub of Tuna sandwich on a French roll and loading it up with their secret sauce.

This B n B SUCKS!!! last three orders they've always forgot to put 1 item ordered and pd for in bag. I've heard from many other people this one sucks compared to all other BnB's. I'll drive extra distance for Carlsbad by Ocean or even Escondido before ever recommending or going there. And even prefer to go to Jersey Mike's over Bressi Ranch.

I come to this location at least 2 times a week to pick up some sandwiches. Pro tip: if you're ordering online or over the phone, place your order in before 11:45. This location is near a business area so around lunch time it is chaotic. This location makes the biggest sandwiches out of any location I've been to. They do not have sunflower seeds at this location. The staff here is always friendly and you can see them working super hard to get everyone's out on time. They have an indoor bar area with TVs and an outdoor dog friendly patio as well. This is my go to location!

Not sure what happened to this place. It was our favorite sandwich spot. Out of four sandwiches we ordered today, three of them had stale sourdough. Now, I know I eat too much, but the sandwiches are half the size they use to be. We won't be rushing back, Hungry Bear is right down the street.

This place is amazing! The sandwiches are absolutely delicious, large enough for 2 meals, quality bread, fresh veggies, sauces are unique and flavorful, and it's priced very reasonably! The staff are also so kind, offering me a water cup while I wait for a to-go order. It is also always clean with plenty of seating. I have always loved Board & Brew for how tasty their sandwiches are, but especially now since they've kept prices down while providing great food/service. I'll say this place is a must for North County locals and those visiting.

I'm a pretty upset with my experience today, around 11 on 4/9.. I was overcharged for a wrap that was supposed to be $10, all because I wanted to switch chicken to beef. I understood there was an upcharge, as the girl with red hair said it would $1, but ended up adding $7 to my wrap. The girl checking me out was obviously new but when she asked her manager, the manager told her to ring it up as the Baja beef which is almost $5 extra plus the avocado and other vegetables which was an additional charge and left me walking away with a $17 wrap that was supposed to be $10. I'm honestly just upset because no manager should let that happen or promote it. In the moment I knew they were doing something wrong, but I didn't see the severe up charge until after I received the receipt. I usually love board and brew but that was honestly ridiculous !

I ordered 2 sandwiches online through Yelp about 8:05. They close at 9:00. I thought it'd be okay. Order was put in and I left my place asap to get there well before 9:00. I got there about 8:30. Parked right in front. Place was empty, all the chairs were on the tables. They were cleaning inside, I figured they were getting ahead of closing. I walk up and the doors are locked. Me trying to open the door caused noise and 2 employees inside looked right at me. I held up my phone( to let them know I ordered) and they went back to their duties. At that point I saw someone put a sandwich on the shelf between kitchen and ordering- again- I figured they were still working on it. So I waited outside. About 15 mins go by. I've seen and made eye contact with 3 different employees. Finally I knock and a guy opens the door and rudely asks if my order was a phone in, online or door dash. I said online and he asked my last name. I told him and low and behold it had been sitting on the to go table for who knows how long. I asked him why the doors were locked when it wasn't even 9 yet and just shrugged. Screw it. Not worth the argument. Drive home and get into the sandwiches to see they messed them up completely. We had simple requests. No Mayo on chicken ranch and melt style on toms choice. 2 sides of ranch. We got Mayo all over a TURKEY club and both sandwiches were sloppily thrown together. Board and brew are usually on point. Maybe it's this crew and location. I'm not sure. But the fact that their doors were locked well before posted closing hours and the customer service was atrocious. Who sees a guy try and open a door and doesn't acknowledge them? At least a "hey, sorry we're closing" or something. Especially knowing there's food waiting to be picked up! This use to be my go to spot. Jersey mikes is not only closer to my house but their customer service seems to be head and shoulders above what I dealt with last night. Those employees didn't give AF. And the messed up part is they'll probably continue this behavior- just based on their carelessness with how they handled that whole situation last night. Do better Board & Brew. If you post that you're open until 9:00 don't lock the doors prior and ignore people trying to get their already paid for items! Shame!

Meh. That's all I can say for my sandwich order. It wasn't anything special. It's reminiscent of a liquor store deli sandwich, just more pricey. The wonderful addition of a beard hair in my food was the perfect accoutrement to the salami and turkey I must say. Never again.

$36 for 2 sandwiches and 1 fountain drink. Forced tip creeping at register. If we'd done chips and beers it'd be steakhouse prices.

This place is amazing. The new manager is definitely making their presence known. I highly recommend the roast beef dip and crack peppered chips. I will be returning here again. Thanks for the amazing sandwich experience.
