A Beer and Board Game Destination Will Debut this Weekend | Eater Houston
"Set to open this weekend in an industrial neighborhood in North Houston, the new Board and Brew Gaming at 5750 North Sam Houston Pkwy E, Suite 515 occupies a lime-green-accented concrete-block space that’s been road-testing its inventory with “open houses” called through its Facebook page. The interior is already full of terrains for games, a board game library with hundreds of titles, and hobby stations where enthusiasts can assemble and paint their own pieces; a Facebook post dated August 22 says construction is complete though the team is still adding finishing touches and expects a September 1 opening. According to the website, a $28 monthly membership grants access to all on-site facilities (including terrains and hobby stations), the game library, discounts from the retail catalog, and access to a “beer exchange program” — a fridge stocked with beers members bring to swap — and the venue also plans to operate a full beer bar with eight local craft brews on tap. I’ve reached out to confirm which local beers made the cut." - Alaena Hostetter
Beer and Hundreds of Board Games Are Coming to a North Houston Warehouse | Eater Houston
"An upcoming board-game-focused drinking den in an industrial space at 5750 North Sam Houston Pkwy E, Suite 515 features hundreds of games and themed “terrains” for different play styles, a small bar pouring eight local craft beers on tap, and a fridge-based “beer exchange” program where guests can swap their favorite brews to sample a wider selection. The extensive library — regularly updated — includes titles such as Settlers of Catan, Risk, Pandemic, and Cards Against Humanity, and on-site game coaches will help newcomers find games based on their likes, dislikes, and skill levels. The concept grew out of a hobby blog and video project about beer and gaming and is launching first via a selective beta-testing phase beginning mid-July (the team is hiring), with weekly themed events planned and a fuller opening targeted for September; intended hours are Monday–Thursday 4–11 p.m., Friday–Saturday 11 a.m.–midnight, and Sunday to be determined." - Alaena Hostetter
Board and Brew have a great selection of board games ready to play plus a well stocked selection of miniature games.
They are one of the few places in town that actively encourage table top miniature gaming with lots of tables ready to play.
The staff is friendly and professional and they have a good selection of food and drinks.
100% recommend.

Very cool place for gaming. They stock a wide variety of miniature games including some indie stuff you won’t find commonly. Plenty of tables and space. As a person primarily interested in painting, I appreciated them stocking some amazing paints and models. Highly recommend them for your modeling and gaming needs.
