A Beer and Board Game Destination Will Debut this Weekend - Eater Houston

"A new beer-slinging gamers’ paradise, Board and Brew Gaming, is set to launch this weekend in an industrial neighborhood in North Houston. The new venture has been road testing its inventory over the last month with open houses. The space is equipped with terrains for games, a board game library, and hobby stations. A monthly membership costs $28 and includes access to facilities, the game library, discounts on retail catalogue purchases, and the beer exchange program. There will also be a fully functioning beer bar with eight local craft brews on tap." - Alaena Hostetter

Had the game I needed, for a fair price, and with excellent customer service. No complaints, would recommend

Great place to play 40k games. Really amazing in house terrain as well as an awesome staff. Can't recommend this place enough.

Parking is a mess, and the neighborhood its in is not great. Location is terrible.

Very cool place for gaming. They stock a wide variety of miniature games including some indie stuff you won’t find commonly. Plenty of tables and space. As a person primarily interested in painting, I appreciated them stocking some amazing paints and models. Highly recommend them for your modeling and gaming needs.

Don’t let the area fool you. Industrial yes, but that’s where you find gems sometimes. Very good community in this joint. Super solid tables to play on with plenty of dynamic terrain. BYOB thanks to the church nearby but other than that, worth going to. Awesome friendly staff!

By far the best experience I have had with a gaming location or store. Friendly, helpful staff combine with a great clientele to create a welcoming atmosphere. No matter if the store is full or if you're the only one there, an effort is taken to make you feel like part of the family. I highly recommend this club to anyone in the Houston area who enjoys any kind of board, roleplaying, or miniatures game!

I have played and worked at a lot of game stores in Houston since 2011. I have to say that Board and Brew is where gaming is at. A great community from all walks of life, with a vast and varying degrees of knowledge of games, lore and hobbying. Great blend of casual and competitive players (a term I use loosely, because if you are playing a game, you are competing...congrats!). The staff are on point, they help you with game knowledge and hobby related questions. They have two hobby areas, one that lets you airbrush and try out paints before buying; and another area in the main game room; both with multiple lamps. Best terrain in Houston, hands down. I challenge you to find a single store with some expert level of painted and constructed terrain. You wont find it. Last bit that I can praise them for...always having 15% of gaming/hobby product (not snacks). Thats worth the drive.
