Google
This is penalty the largest location I’ve visited in the last few days while in town. My overall experience with the staff everyone was friendly and eager to assist. I probably went in and out of the store looking for board parts about 3-4 times in an hour. I did finally find what I was intrigued by and made my simple purchase. I would return to any of their three locations I’ve been to so far without hesitation. Thank you

Nancy Sanchez

Google
The owner really nice and coworkers, they’re very helpful and very kind people they help us a lot I recommend this store

Google
I will never come here again in my life. Black Friday, same brand, same price. It was twice as expensive. And no refund. No service.

Elenator Gunner

Google
Was in and out super easy. Gabriel one of the store managers was a huge help and answered all my questions(very attentive) also staff is Very friendly and the store was clean. Definitely would go and shop there again.

Chris Lovitt

Google
It's expensive. I saw a couple of items I saw in Macy's for a much cheaper price. I ended up going to Eagle Rock for a board for my son. Even that was a better price. Also getting help here was like asking for their liver.

I've been to this store a handful of times, but I always ended up not buying anything. Yesterday, I came to this Boarders just because, I was looking for some boots, and comparing prices from other stores. When I got there, it was hard to get any help. Seems like the employees have no energy. Finally, someone came to help me. I didn't get the name because, they don't go out of their way to give you their name. I tried on the boots, they fit and I get a text that my sister needed me to go to her house right away. Anyways, the employee who helped me told me she will be taking the boots to the cashier. I told my husband that its that same price as Journey's plus, I needed to leave . That way I can just pay for my boots, and leave. I went to the front to pay for my boots, and no one was in the front. I was waiting on the first circle for Covid distance, and I waited and waited. Finally, a chubby, short guy ran to the front with this elderly white couple who cut in front of me so, chubby guy can rang them up for t-shirts. I was looking, yes looking at my husband looking at some shorts they had right next to the line. I never moved from my spot in line. Apparently, I'm not allowed to look the other way just straight while in line because, to this reject of an employee said I wasn't in line because, I was looking the other way. I guess he thinks I like to just stand there in front of the register just for fun, and giggles. Instead of asking me FIRST if I needed any help, he ignored me, and the white couple pushed me out of the way by getting in front of me. I told them not to cut in front of me. I told him that I was in fact in line, and that he had my boots that I needed to pay for. He didn't want to bother to look for my boots so, I can pay for them so, I can go on my way. Of course, we made fun of him because, he's too old to not know how to behave in front of customers or, in public. He looked down, and guess what? He found the boots. 🙄. Sad part is I modeled for North Face, and to see such a great company to be affiliated with a low class company such as Boarders is very sad. Look, I believe this isn't my job to teach customer service to these employees. I have to say that the employees here need to understand one thing, customers do matter. If you give bad customer service then, people won't go and they won't get a paycheck. Boarders doors will close. They need to check themselves because, any work they do will be a disaster. Boarders almost lost my money. It was too late for me to back away from such purchase. 165.36 purchase. I should've gone to Journeys. I don't recommend this place for your skate boards or apparel needs. How you're treated is important.

Google
Next time all the male employees are going to make fun of a customer don’t be so obvious about it. Was going to buy some bindings and boots but taking my money somewhere the employees don’t make fun of me

Google
Very nice store I just happen to come across at Westfield mall in Arcadia. I purchased a Millerton North Face jacket for the cold days to come.

Yelp
The window display items brought me into the store. They have a great collection of cool t-shirts, shoes, and other clothing items. I had to hold back as my closet is already too full but I sure would like to add to my collection.

Yelp
The staff here was very attentive. I needed new snowboarding boots and they were super helpful and patient. My husband and I also picked up a new pair of snowboarding pants since they were having a sale. I highly recommend coming here for all snowboard needs!

Yelp
Worst skate shop ever. The vibe of it isn't really good and they're more money hungry greed. Lot of the workers there are very clueless of selling skateboard parts. Gabriel was the worst. He tends to come out to be very arrogant and know it all when it comes to recommending gears. Sometimes he's asked if he find certain shoes size and doesn't even bother to find it. He's not even a talented skateboarder and yet tries to recommend parts of what's good when they're not. What a hypocrite. He has a really bad attitude problem toward people. The manager T have serious attitude problem as well. He yet uses strong vulgar language which isn't very professional especially when there's kids shopping around. Boarders acts like they're the best skate shop ever. We've seen shops like active like that which led to their demise. In hindsight, I recommend every skater in the community to always support local skate shops, not mall based shops. They're more greedy and cares more about growth and competition which turns out they're bunch of arrogant pricks. Most core skateboarders do not like boarders. That's the truth. Especially I asked legitimately sponsored skaters and they strongly against boarders. I rather go to Zumiez than boarders. But yet i wouldn't go to Zumiez either. Yet support local skate shops. Who gives a f'ck if boarders hook you up. Stop relying on boarders hook up and their selection of products. They're becoming less of a skate shop and more of urban clothing store for trends of younger people.

Yelp
finally wandered into this store out of boredom. never felt compelled to do so because 1. i dont think i have even touched a skateboard in my life lol and feel that being a skater is in a realm as far as it can be from my tribe and 2. i feel like their branding and window display just don't represent my style and aesthetic. that said, the store has a wide selection of super cute clothes. it definitely has lots of well known brands like vans and other sports brand but i am the most interested in learning about other brands that i have not heard of. as a select shop that bring you a variety of off-beat, urban streetwear, they do a good jobs in merchandising. the employee was friendly and helpful and not pushy, i tried on this v-neck dropped shoulder poly tee and subtle reptile print and absolutely love it. it's not the cutting that i usually go for and it is $70 so i have to go home and do some thinking and make some planning on how to coordinate something like that. also tries on a tee with green and purple pattern knitted into it. it's also in the $70 range but the colors were amazing. i noticed a rip n dip chair tucked at a dirty corner near the fitting room. it looks worn and sad but it's rip n' dip! i feel that the store, if interested in getting more customers like myself who just enjoy the fashion and less about skateboarding gears, they should consider doing a whole rebranding. the store is way too clustered, you have to dig hard to find the items that are actually very chic. they can either go with a more urban outfitter, no-bs, dystopian approach in their store design or add in more objects of curiosity like sculptures or decor to play off on the existing maximalism but to add characters. like that chair near the dressing room will sure draw attention at the window display with some cool color stories. a raw wood fixtures, rugs, painted chandelier, flea market ironically-old-world vibe type of deal can work well instead of the outdated and boring current design that does not match the edge that their clothes carry. nice selection of clothes, relatively affordable prices, can use a bit tlc in updating and clean up the interior. will come back to grab that tee.

Yelp
Watch out ! I am supposed to buy nike sb burgundy and a young guy help me but the thing is he didnt show me the box but the one in the box is the last size the thing is he didnt tell me that the one on the display is the one on the box and dirty and been used so i didnt buy it...you know what i mean.. so better watch it !!! you might buy something that on the display and not letting you know.

Yelp
Went here last month, asked if they had any wknd brand stuff and dude laughed and said "we don't have him" I don't think dude knows what skating is

Yelp
This is my son's go to Boarders when we are in Arcadia. They have the best staff and especially the store manager Tarek he is awesome and keeps his store well organize and easily to find stuff. I highly recommend this location than any others ones I have been too.

Yelp
First time building a deck and needed parts to complete the build. Brought the trucks and wheels with me. Terrick went above and beyond by presenting bearing options and did the install within minutes. Also purchased tape and truck screws. Shop had a lot of cool decks n stuff, definitely recommend Boarders for the friendly service and vast selection.

Yelp
It's funny how whenever I want something, nowhere else has it.. besides Boarders! I should start coming straight to Boarders from now on, instead of wasting my time running in and out of other stores. I'm leaving to New York for the first time in a few days! And if you know how I am, I love to pack light. I started searching online for a Nike or Adidas fanny pack, but nowhere had the size I wanted. The "normal" fanny packs I tried at a few stores ended up with the actual bag a lot wider than my waist. The bags would actually have to wrap around the sides of my waist-- this was not what I wanted! I wanted something small, yet cute. These days, fanny packs aren't really fanny packs anymore; they're called "sling bags," or "cross body bags." That kind of defeats the purpose of a fanny pack which is supposed to sit around your waist. I decided to try multiple stores after frantically searching online. I finally came across Boarders and although I didn't find a Nike or Adidas fanny pack that I wanted, I found the perfect sized burgundy Herschel fanny pack for $32 (if you're curious, it is the 15 Hip Pack line)! I was also looking for a pink colored Herschel but did not find it (it's only online, but not in the 15 line). I continued my way around more stores afterwards, and I am extremely pleased with my purchase. I came in looking for something completely different, but still left extremely excited and ready to utilize it! New York here I come! :)

Yelp
I recently purchased A set of Andales Abec wheel bearings from this store. When i opened the package i noticed 1 of them was cracked and it did not spin correctly. I took them back to either replace them or have them refunded so i can get another brand. I was told because i opened the package i could not return them. I was also told to take up the defectiveness with the manufacturer. Sounds like bad business to me. You sell products to customers and in the case they come out defective they don't back up the products they sell. I definitely wont be going back. This also came from the owner. It's hard to support a business that doesn't stand behind the products they sell.

Yelp
There isn't a lot of shops left in the Valleys which specializes in snowboarding or skateboarding. I had great personal and technical help from the manager Teric with finding bindings which fit my 2010 Burton board and boots. All were marked down. No return policy was not strictly enforced on my need to return the initial bindings which did not adapt. Credit is what I accepted. They also changed my old skateboard wheels and bearings for my son to use. All store help anywhere can not all be specialist in helping, but all were polite and friendly.

Kristina T.

Yelp
They'll do anything to not let you return your item in store. Seriously annoying how refunds aren't allowed in store but are online.

Tristan R.

Yelp
Sick selection, employees are chill and hardworking. Go here for all your skater needs
google avatar

Stacey H.

Yelp
I love the products in the shop and willing to buy it. But the workers here are terrible. They never come to greet when the customers come in. They didn't even ask the customers if they need help. They are just staying behind the display stand and chat to Escher. Their attitude ruin the satisfaction of customers who have high expectations for this shop.

Yelp
I've taken my daughter shopping for school clothes at a few different Boarders in the last few weeks. This one at the Santa Anita Mall is the best by far. There's a better selection here and the employees are always super helpful and friendly. This is our go-to spot now.

Yelp
Now located on the first floor inside the Westfield mall next to forever 21. Always been a fan of boarders, especially at skidazzle. Great variety at good prices. Went in to just browse and saw that they currently have snow gear on sale. Keep in mind that sale items are final sale. Go find TOMOMI, she's the absolute best!! She went around the entire store looking for additional snow boots for me to try on so that I had options. Not once did she seem impatient and she always had a genuine smile. I brought it up in store and everyone said she treats everyone this way :) Thank you TOMOMI for such a a pleasant experience!!

Yelp
Just came into Boarders - "T" went above and beyond to discuss the finer points of snowboarding goggles with me. Thank bro- way to go!

Yelp
I called around many local stores because I needed a Burton re:flex 3d hinge disc in a jiffy for my wife's new bindings for this weekend. Unfortunately, no stores carry it, so the next best thing I could do for her is to find new toe and ankle strap replacements for her old bindings, luckily Boarders had it. When I arrived with my wife's old bindings, it was clear that I needed more than straps. Instead of buying all the pieces I needed for her bindings, the Manager suggested that Salomon bindings still has discs with the 3d configuration. I was able to buy new bindings for $140, and installed on the spot. My wife is very happy with them.

Yelp
I went this store in the intention to buy maintenance parts for my skateboard, I left empty-handed. :( Overall store physical appearance: The store looks very well stocked full of new skateboard items. Every item looked very well placed and very well maintained. Store employees: There are numerous employees all over the store but none were very helpful. They were all behind the counter taking amongst themselves. Customer service: When I entered the store (Wednesday @ 1PM), I was never acknowledged by any store employee. The employee to customer ratio was 3:1. There is no excuse for the lack of helpfulness. I spent about 5-10 browsing the counter for recommendations and assistance. In no point was I ever asked if I needed help, nor was I acknowledged in any way. This store has numerous skateboard items but the employees lack interpersonal skills. What is the point of having such awesome skateboard items if no one is there to help you. I left this store empty-handed and went to Zumiez where I was helped almost immediately.

Yelp
This Boarder's is the newest branch of the shops (There's one in Glendale Galleria and Montebello Towncenter as well). I was prompted to write this review due to the exceptional service I received when I had an issue with the boots and bindings I bought at Skidazzle (the ski and snowboard convention held at the LA Convention center every year). LONG BACK STORY, SKIP TO MORAL OF THE STORY IF YOU DON'T LIKE READING I had bought a board/bindings package from a vendor representing the Boarder's in Glendale (it said so on the receipt) however the plates to screw in the bindings did not match with the board. Calling the Glendale store, I explained my situation and they said they had an adapter plate, so I drove all the way there. To my dismay, when I got there the girl didn't know anything about snowboards and said that they didn't have any more plates, telling me to go to the Santa Anita location instead. She had opened a little drawer behind the counter and looked around in there and couldn't find anything. Fortunately my parents don't live too far from the Santa Anita mall so I called the store to ask if they carried the adapter disc. The first time I called (a Saturday) the guy told me they had the disc and to come in. I came in (stupidly not bringing my board) and the guy handed me a pair of discs, saying he thinks those were the right ones but he wasn't sure. I get home, and lo and behold they don't fit. I do some research and realize he gave me the wrong disc. I call again on Sunday and ask them if they have the correct disc. They put me on the phone with Jay, their snowboard guy, and he immediately knew what I was talking about, assuring me that they had the part. I bring in my board and Jay pulled out the exact part, even screwing it in for me at the shop. They had bunch of cardboard boxes full of different discs behind the counter, so I don't think they would just run out. Jay was extremely knowledgeable about boarding and answered all of my questions. I also ended up buying some goggles. The layout of the store is also more like a skateshop as opposed to the Glendale one, as they have a long glass counter filled with accessories that's wide enough to put a board on and work on it. MORAL OF THE STORY: If you have a specific issue, call first to see if they have a "snowboard" or "skate" etc. person in. The guys there on Saturday were nice but knew nothing about snowboards, while on Sunday it seemed like all the people on staff were snowboarders. As for the rest of the store, I come by and browse here every time I'm at the mall. They have a decent selection of clothing though not more than any other store like Pac Sun, however they have a very large selection of shoes which is the main reason why I come in. I've never bought any shoes here though as the prices are on the higher side.

Yelp
Best spot in the San Gabriel Valley for all your skateboarding needs. Deck, trucks, wheels, grip tape, cloths, shoes..... you name it they got it!
google avatar

Tommy M.

Yelp
This place has just the gear I was looking for, unfortunately some of the stuff I found online wasn't in the shop. Not only that but when I went into the shop the gentlemen working there were in the back working on the dressing rooms and it felt as though for me to talk to them would be to interrupt the task they were working on. Besides the service and same lacking in stock inventory I did find some really cool stuff that makes this place better then a typical zumiez or packsun. There brands and there clothing was unique, from simply nice material shirts all the way to unique and logo infested shirts, if you want something that no-one else is wearing and looks sick then this is definitely your spot. Just don't expect the best service when you go in, which I mean makes sense because it's a skate shop. Some of these young men are probably still just moving up in the career field and working at a skate shop is their stepping stone.
google avatar

Senor K.

Yelp
Needed some trucks and hardware for my longboard and instead of dealing with Amazon or searching high and low for a skate shop open on a Sunday night, I dropped by Breakers in my local mall. They have a great selection and reasonable prices. Terry was more than helpful and knew his stuff. He hooked it up and even offered to set my board up for no charge, saving me the trouble. Don't let the corporate mall storefront fool you. This place is the real deal.

Armando H.

Yelp
Dawg I went to boarders drunk as hell like Stevewilldoit and I got way more respect than he does in his videos honestly I want to say thank you for hiring Alex from boarders arcadi great fucken guy made me want to go back love that shit 100/10

Yelp
So just wanted to update my review...I received a notification on my previous post today stating i called Gabriel a b! Yup I sure did but not to his face though. In anger I told another associate to tell him he's a "little b". A weak moment but after spending over $200 in a store to be told to get out right after before J even received the product I bough, I was upset. Gabriel got me to this point with his unprofessional attitude and instead of getting any sort of apology, I receive a notification from some random las vegas resident stating what I said and that maybe the whole story isn't known? Gabriel had 100 different ways he could ha e asked me to wait outside. The one he chose sucked and now I am completely sure that I will boycott this store. I wish i could take the board back and get a refund but then i'd have to step foot in this joke of a store again. Gabriel must have been crying to someone due to the egging on comment i received today which proves he's a big, whiny, little b!

Yelp
My experience at this shop has always been a pleasant one. I am always greeted upon my entrance and their service has always been a memorable one. I always know what I am looking for when I go to skate shops, but it's always nice to be offered service, no matter how dismal or impactful it might be. The employees are very knowledgable about their products, as I have just received a couple of days ago. I came in looking for some new skate shoes, but with my damn clown feet, the shoes I wanted were not currently available in my size. No matter though, there was a very courteous woman with glasses who was very attentive and helpful and that was fulfilling enough. As I continued to shop around, there was a super cool dude by the name of Shan, or Sham I believe it was?, who asked me if I needed assistance with a board. We had a cool discussion about board width and it's influence on mobility and control which tells me, "This guy knows what he's talking about." After that he suggested a product that would forever change the way I skate. The Bones Hardcore Bushings. I was persuaded to buy them and I definitely am happy about my purchase. Skated for hours very soon after before the rain, and man they are amazing! Thanks for that Shan! Above all, this place is great in my opinion. Great customer service, great inventory and great value. I'll be back very soon.

Nivek B.

Yelp
don't buy any clothing at this store, i was about to pay $110 for a northface windbreaker when i realized the back was dirty and used! i told the " manager" who was charging me if they had another one in stock and said no so i asked him to clean it with something and this piece of shit puts spit on his finger and rubbs itwho fucken does that petty as fool! this place is sorry as fuck along woth the employees yall better of at zumiez or vans for skating supplies!!!

Yelp
The employees at this store are ridiculously shady. I called Boarders to inquire about a fairly exclusive shoe that is releasing. The guy on the phone told me that there won't be any sizes below 11.5 available. So I thought to myself fine, the store is looking out for their own and giving them to the employees first. But check this, the guy proceeded to offer me a size 10 and 10.5 for 325 each when MSRP is 83 dollars! SHADY! i would rate 0 stars if I could.
google avatar

Justin K.

Yelp
Boarders freshest gear for the best price! My recommendation would be hitting up the shirts first. They are on the shelves right in the front when you walk The clearance is my second go to in the back. Hella sick tanks! Shoes are cool too
google avatar

Schel H.

Yelp
Somewhat to slightly overpriced snowboarding gear here. However this place is primarily about skateboards shoes and attire with a bunch of random shoes and HK stuff O_o Yeah I was a bit surprised myself. However if your not sagging and wearing a flat brimmed hat... anticipate that you will be looked at like a freak. I havent understood that but cest la vie. At least they have a clearance rack, but the pricing on those racks looks like more realistic pricing IMHO Pro Tip: This joint is in the "Promenade" section of the mall... that means its OUTSIDE and not part of the interior part of the mall. The snowboarding gear is at the rear of the store. The shoes are on the inside immediate rt flanked by the HK stuff on the left. The whole left wall from the HK stuff to the rear of the store behind the counter is a ton of skating gear with decks adorning the wall. I love that these folks are shocked that I know a lil bit about this stuff since I dont look like they do. I just dont see a reason to shop here other than to find something specific that isnt findable elsewhere, in stock. I just go to see what items they have, but I doubt I will ever buy anything here.
google avatar

Montserrat S.

Yelp
Went in looking for a windbreaker for my boyfriend and was greete by the staff as I walked through the store. I finally accepted help from who happened to be the general manager, he was very nice and friendly considering all the dumb questions I had about the most appropriate gift. Amazing service, the GM was very personable making the whole experience less awkward for me

Yelp
This place is THE BEST. I went and brought my first skateboard there. I wanted something basic, nothing too complicated. My board was spectacular! The best part was that I brought my dad there, my board was 150 dollars! However, they looked at him, said "Happy Fathers Day", and gave a a whopping 120 dollars. THATS A LOT OF MONEY I SAVED. 30 BUCKS! This place is the best, and I'm sure to come back sometime soon.

Yelp
Boarders is one of my favorite skate shops around. Although, I've moved away from most of the styles they carry, I have a lot memories of going here. This is one of the newly added sections of the Santa Anita mall. It is really nice building, I figure because it's still fairly new. It's not too busy like the one in Glendale. It's a lot bigger offering a bigger section in clothes. I kind of wish their Volcom selection was a bit bigger though. I bought like two of my Nixon watches their. The employees were a really nice and knowledgeable helping. They opened the glass case and left it opened. I guess they trusted me! Haha! Joke on them. Jk.
google avatar

Jesse ..

Yelp
Do not shop here if they are having a "sale". They will not honor the sales price. Went in because they were having a sale on snowboard gear. Multiple signs said all volcom gear 20% off. I found a great volcom jacket at a great price. When I went to pay the sales associate wouldnt give me the discount because it was already marked down. When I pointed out that the sign said all volcom gear on sale he refused to honor the deal. Maybe they should be more clear and advertise a sale on select volcom gear and not all gear. Just my two cents.

Yelp
Manny and Tarek took care of me and set me up with great shoes. Great selection and not just skateboard stuff. Opens at 10am. I will be back!!!

Yelp
Awesome skate shop the people here really know skateboarding and are always glad to help, Fully stocked with whatever you need from clothes,to Boards to shoes to anything! The owner is an actual skater so he knows what he is doing!! Highly recommend this board shop to any one.

Yelp
Guys have always been helpful with whatever things I had questions about. Shoe selection has always been a plus here carrying all my favorite Nike SB's.

Yelp
DUDE. Short girl with medium long black hair, I think nose ring and wore a beanie on 12/12/13 seriously... I hope youre not the manager. I left your store because of this employee. She was cussing up a storm with her ghetto tone to another employee saying "what the f $!#, I said whussup to you and you actin like you dont f $!kin see me and sh!t. What the f!#k! ..... TURN OFF. Im just trying to browse around the clothes but I definitely lost the interest in anything to do with this store because of the immature employees. I literally walked right out after hearing her. Note to manager/supervisor : you should probably have a professional meeting with your staff, that no matter what age the potential customers are in the store, you should have a great positive attitude and clean up the language. Its quite embarrassing if thats how you want to run your business.

Yelp
Went to the Boarders store in Arcadia this week with my 13 year old son. Looking for shoes for him. The employee that helped us was fine. The problem I had was the music. Not that it was super loud. That was not the problem. The song that was playing was the dirtiest most profane piece of trash I have ever heard. This type of music should not be playing in a store that caterers to teenagers.....teenager that don't have any money so they have to bring their parent in to purchase whatever they want to buy. Parents that come in with younger children tagging along and having to listen to that? Seriously. I think there is plenty of good music that you can play that you don't have to blast this stuff. We left and won't be going back to that store.

Frank T.

Yelp
The workers in this store are extremely unwelcoming, making people not wanting to go in and buy anything. Period.

Yelp
This place is pretty sketchy. I can vouch for the review where someone talks about sizes being sold out and an employee offering to sell for above retail...Unfortunately it happens at a lot of shops that carry limited product but the bigger ones (undftd) have more eyes on them so it's hard to get away with. None of the regular employees were helpful, had to lace up my pair of shoes, etc...Only one who was helpful at all was the manager. They get one star for not having open spike pits in the store and having a good selection of merchandise, and that's all.

Yelp
A very plentiful skate shop as in product, but as customer service goes it's shameful. I hate when employees talk bad about regular customers being fake skaters! Makes you feel like your getting judge every movement. With the internet being there biggest competition they need great customer service what a shame.

Yelp
Horrible service . Such a lonely & deserted store you would think they would be at least semi decent to the few customers that walk in .

Yelp
Awesome new store, tons of great clothes, shoes and accesories. Bought some stuff for me, and some shoes for my special lady. People are cool, and get you your shoe size quick.

Yelp
Super friendly and helpful staff. Great selection of toms, which is what I went for. Toms are sort of hard to find in retail stores. I think they have every style available. Guy that was helping me kept bringing out different styles and sizes for me. So glad to find this store.

Yelp
Great employees. The guy there gave my friends and I free stickers and helped us with a return that was very smooth. Also the guy that works there speaks Arabic and that's great for me so it fulfilled everything. Great store with great service and great clothing, accessories, and boards.

Yelp
Best Boarders location out of all the locations. You have a great selection of all brands of shoes (Vans, Nike SB, Adidas, Lakai, DC, Emerica, etc.), as well as clothes (Stussy, Krew, Diamond, Obey, DGK, etc.), skateboards, snowboards and so on and probably the best selection of all boardshops in the San Gabriel Valley, or even California as a whole. You have good customer service as well too, on top of it.
