I’ve gone to the same barber for the past 2 years but I was told about the memberships here so I wanted to give it a shot to see how they’d cut my hair and to check if it’s a place I’d actually return too. My stylist Tylette, did a phenomenal job all around. She definitely won my business and I will be coming back weekly for her. That’s how amazing my wife said my haircut was! I’ll definitely be recommending her and taking my two boys to her now!

I have been coming here for years a with mostly positive experiences. Good atmosphere and customer service, however this time I had no time to see my regular hairstylist so I just picked who was available and I did an express haircut. I should've just walked out after I saw who was going to be cutting my hair, since the first time they did it was a disaster. But I went in with a positive attitude and what I received was a barely 15 minute haircut that consisted mostly of being bonked on the head with a bristle brush. The end result turned out to be a haircut that Lloyd Christmas would love but I am extremely upset about. Thanks for the privilege of getting to pay $65 to wear a hat for two weeks. 👎

The "DETAILS"? We cannot divulge everything. But Sunnee is the absolute best stylist I have ever had in my 70 years on this planet. I always look forward to my next appointment. Each time I visit, it is the calmest moments of my day. Sunnee and I are now in our 5th year. I trust her work completely. My wife approves of Sunnee's work. I refuse to go "anywhere else". Just remember... "If you lose Sunnee... you lose me."

Lesly is fantastic. I’ve been going to this location for two years now and Lesly has been my one and only stylist since the start. Not only is she friendly and welcoming but her talent is superb.

I won't gate keep anymore. This place is amazing. Unlimited haircuts (great haircuts), some foo foo hand massage, a scalp massage all for $130 a month. I love it. Service is great and oh yeah they give you free beer upon walking in. Gotta check it out

Sunee is the best. Been her client for 5-years. She cares, and has provided the best service. I renew my membership every year because of her. My whole family loves Sunee

I came in for a beard trim and paid $40 before tip only to get a 5 minute trim and end up with my neck being in pain from the force that was used by their machine, trimmings all over my face because they didn’t even clean up my face properly, and just an overall bad experience. For a place that promotes a great experience, I mean this in the most respectful way. Save your money.

Terrible experience and service. Inexperienced haircutters, definitely not stylists. Nice place but very empty. Should’ve known it was an indication of their poor service.

Before coming to Boardroom I had been disappointed with other barbershops in the area because I couldn't expect the same quality of haircut from one time to the next. The customer service at Boardroom-Mosaic is outstanding and the quality of service is excellent. I had two express cuts before I decided to sign up for a membership and I've been coming every two weeks for the last year. It will be time to re-up my membership in a couple months and I will definitely be doing it. The staff is very friendly. If you aren't sure what you want to do with your style they can help you figure out what would work for you.

Took my son in for a trim (had a typical boy llama style) and he mentioned it was too long on the sides and they cut the whole head way too short. Looks terrible and doesn't have a style. Really disappointed.

Yeah. I told the barber my sides were too bulky and I needed the top trimmed down to proportion. To them that means cutting off all my hair and making me look like a middle schooler again. Never going back again I lost their trust. Edit from 20 minutes later: Entire family asked what happened to my hair. They all hate it too.

This is my 2nd home. When I ask for abuse... I come here. Sunnee really knows how to hurt me! Even more than I could ask for. Thank You!!!

Earlier today I got an express haircut for $65 by Vu. I asked if he could trim my eyebrows since they tend to get very bushy, and he said he could. After the haircut I noticed that my left eyebrow was shaved off in the corner (photo). I went back to the front desk and asked if there was anything they could do to compensate and he told me "they aren't responsible for trimming eyebrows. It was in the stylist's own volition to do it". To see a shop charge $65 for a haircut, not be accommodating, and not taking responsibility for a simple eyebrow trim is off-putting, especially considering the stylist said he'd do it. I won't be coming back.

Boardroom is amazing. I've been coming here for years. Sunee is amazing, but all the other stylists are great too! Highly recommend this place.

Good haircut but hygiene is suspect...hair all over clippers as he started my cut. Didn't condition hair as per the package. Expect things to be on point at the price.

Vibe is great have a beer while you wait. Other than that its meh for its pricing. Ive had 20$ hair cuts that were on par with what i got yesterday. Ruth was awesome for the hair cut. But i am fighting mad over what she did to my beard. Never again. Basically have to shave all my face for a wedding now over the chop job she did when all i asked for was a line up. Bottom line great for hair cuts. Dont let Ruth touch your beard tho. I dont think ill be back.

I've been a customer for almost three years and have really enjoyed it and think it's a great value. I've done membership and no-membership and that all comes down to your frequency. It's convenient to schedule via app (or phone)...the experience is first class. The shop is immaculate. The staff are always friendly and helpful. My barber/stylist is Sunee who I followed to Boardroom. She's simply the "best in the business.' If you're looking for a new spot or ready to upgrade, you need to check them out!

Go see Sunee! She is awesome and will take great care of you. I've been coming here for nearly 4 years now, and have enjoyed every visit. The staff is excellent and the whole place has a very low-key vibe. I highly recommend a visit.

Terrible haircut they totally messed up my hair after I asked for a fade with a picture yet they messed it up so terribly bad and basically gave me a uneven front with short uneven hair and no fade

Brought my kid in for a "buddy cut", which according to the brochure includes cut, wash, and style. Kid did not get a wash at first. When I asked the receptionist, they said they usually do that at the end. At the end, they didn't do it. I had to ask for it because I'm not paying $45 for just a cut. Even after the wash, there were still all of these little hairs around his face and ears. We had hoped to keep some of the length. Trimming the front but shortening the back. The hairstylist used the shaver to trim the length in a feathering technique instead of using scissors. Because the result was so close to the head, the haircut ended up looking overly choppy. After we left, kid shared that the scissors were really rough. Said that my haircutting skills during COVID were far better than what he just experienced. TBH, We should have just stuck to our $20 barber. I cannot imagine spending more on this place.

I went here for the first time couple weeks ago. I had to wait 20 minutes even though I had an appointment. The stylist did acknowledge the delay but blamed it on the person before me for having really long hair... She was friendly and trying to make conversation. She also asked how I wanted my haircut, which I explained very clearly. Unfortunately, it did not turn out the way I wanted nor did it look good. The biggest issue I had was the back which I raised up to the stylist. She corrected it a little but still did not look good. The whole experience of an upscale salon was great which included hand wax and massage, scalp massage, and hot towel. However, the haircutting skill was absolutely lacking. My family and friends all agreed it was not a good haircut.

Unprofessional & overpriced. Walk in & pray they don't cut through your jugular vein... Express cut truly means express in every way, you'll be in & out in a snap like an assembly line. While the stylist was very nice & sweet, the same cannot be claimed for the service. My experience was met with several cuts into my neck which began to bleed as I drove home. My side fades are uneven & patchy. Stylists clippers & equipment malfunctioned during my session, which worries me as I would expect better equipment from an establishment claiming to be of higher quality.

I am new to the area and I wanted to give this place a shot... This place definitely made me realize why I have always gone to a woman's salon where they actually take pride in their work and their reputation. This place is not worth the hype or a "men's salon." The inside is overkill and they really just try to throw it in your face that your at an old school barber shop. It felt like it was my hairstylist's first time cutting hair and I need to mention she burped half way through and her lunch smelled terrible... We started 10 minutes late. Usually takes me about 15-20 minutes to get my hair cut and this went 10 min longer than it should of.. This place was NOT worth the $65 for a hair cut... Overall I just did not enjoy my experience and felt that a review was needed. Go support a small local barber shop or salon instead.

I'm new to the area and I was searching for a gentlemen's grooming salon that did more than just a haircut. I came across the Boardroom and decided to try it. I must say, I was totally satisfied with the entire service. I was greeted by the receptionist and offers a complimentary drink and then was introduced to Shay who took care of me. It was definitely more than just a haircut, it was an experience!! Shay was TOTALLY DOPE!! My haircut was awesome as well as the wash, paraffin hand wax and hand/arm massage!! This is my new go to spot!! It's worth EVERY PENNY!! Be sure to ask for Shay!!

Look , on a scale of 1 to 10 I'm a 9.3 but I left this place a Certified 20. Believe me when I tell ya, u need to go see Brittany. Hair looking so fly right now it nearly caused accidents on the road from drivers staring.

I went to boardroom for the first time when they first opened and just went back again and it's the same great service and work each time! Nicole is awesome and the reason I will be sticking with it there!

Don't book an appt towards the end of the day. Clearly in a rush to get out the door, my barber straight up lied to my face that I didn't book an additional service. She was so confident about it that I thought maybe I made a mistake when booking online. turns out I didn't as the receptionist wanted to charge me for it. When I said if I wanted to get one if I did in fact book it, she said "whatever the stylist says goes" this crap service isnt worth the price

I have been getting my hair cut here for about 6 months. I first signed up with the founders 3 months membership and since continued. The haircut is fine, I have even been able to try out a few new styles. My hair grows crazy fast, so having the subscription and getting it cut every 2 - 3 weeks has worked well for me. The best part about Boardroom though is the massage/relaxation portion. It is very relaxing and does well to justify the hefty price tag. I would say that this place is a little too expensive but I am happy with the service. I would recommend this place 100 times out of 100 over Roosters down the road.

I found this gem on Instagram and because of my never ending quest to find a decent barber shop I decided to give them a try. But to call this place a Barber Shop would be doing them a disservice. They are what they say they are...a Salon For Men. Seeing as how this was my first time I booked an appointment online for their Benchmark Haircut, their top of the line signature service. Upon entering I was impressed by the overall look and cleanliness of the shop. The nice lady that greeted me at the front counter was professional and followed all Covid safety procedures. Admittedly I had no idea what kind of haircut I was looking for but my barber Rachel was more than willing to help find the right style for me. Not only did she do an excellent job but she was also very nice and a great conversationalist. After the haircut we went into the back for the Benchmark services and Man Oh Man it's good. Hahaha! I don't normally pamper myself but this made me a believer. If you've made it this far in my essay of a review and have to take away one thing from it let it be this, "Sign up for the Benchmark." By the time it was all said and done I walked out of there a new member. I was sold. If you're looking for a new place to get a haircut or a shave I can't recommend Boardroom enough. Treat yourself. You deserve it.

Tried the Boardroom in hopes of finding a Men's hair salon closer to my home but with the quality of care I have been receiving from another stylist. Too bad - the Boardroom failed the tryout. Won't mention the stylist that cut my hair but she needs to get a lesson in taking care of her clients. Had to remind her to shave my neck. My previous stylist used a straight razor and shaving cream - the Boardroom stylist use her clippers and the hair went down the back of my shirt. When I asked her to fix one side of my hair after being shampooed - she never put the smock back on - now I had hair inside and outside my shirt. Had to come home and change before going back out that evening. Other suggested ways to pamper clients - trim eyebrows. Very doubtful, I will be back. If you are going to pay a premium for a premium haircut - you need stylist that know how to pamper their clients

This was my first visit to the salon. What a WOW experience!!!! From the moment stepping foot into the salon the experience was top notch. I was initially greeted by Mackenzie, unlike most places she was extremely personable and made me feel as if I was in my own home. My stylist Nicole did a phenomenal job not only understanding what I wanted but executed my cut to perfection. I can't say enough about the experience I had today at boardroom salon in fairfax. I highly recommend men who routinely visit the barbershop or salon for weekly or biweekly shape ups to purchase the executive membership, and definitely request Nicole.
