I celebrated my birthday here and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The make-your-own pizza class was so much fun and something we’ll all remember. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the managers made sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. The pizzas we made were delicious…fresh ingredients, great flavors, and lots of laughs along the way. Highly recommend this place for a unique and fun group outing. Can’t wait to come back!

Feast your eyes on my delicious rice ball, packed with chop meat, mozzarella, and rice. This thing is HUGE! The inside is totally stuffed; every bite is amazing & filling. The gravy is perfect - not too acidic, sour, or sweet. It's just right. ***The Margarita A La Vodka pizza, garnished with fresh basil pieces, has a nice thin crust. The sauce to cheese ratio rocks. I could eat this whole thing. In fact, if I shrunk down to a tiny person & sat at the little plastic table inside the pizza box, I'd still eat the whole thing. ***Gluten-free options for those who need it comes in the form of this plain cheese pizza. Tasted like a regular pizza, so you get the same experience without compromising taste. Thin crust & yummie. ***I've also had lots of Boardwalk's other food, not pictured here. Check them out - you won't regret it.

The food here is pretty good -- admittedly it's not that hard to make pizza, but they do it well, with a good selection of toppings and slices big enough that one will leave an average person satisfied and two will be enough even for a big guy. They are a little on the pricey side. Service is friendly but fairly basic, and the atmosphere is similarly spartan, with simple tables and chairs and a TV being the main "decoration". A good place overall, but could stand a few improvements.

We had an adult pizza party yesterday and this place was AMAZING!! The owner, Stephanie and Zaza were so welcoming and accommodating!! The pizza also came out perfect!! Please consider hosting a party here. I will be back soon!

If I could give zero stars I would. Ordered lunch for our office today. This is our first time ordering from Boardwalk Pizza. Needless to say will not be ordering again. First off, why can I not order food the day of? Besides that, we ordered 2 buffalo chicken wraps they sent one and a Caesar wrap. Ordered a caser salad with shrimp, they called to tell me they were out of shrimp and asked if we wanted grilled chicken instead and then never sent the chicken. Eggplant parm wasn't even breaded and the oil used tasted old and dirty. Chicken franchese was absolutely disgusting. When i called to tell them the order was messed up, was told it was because we ordered same day. Didnt even offer to bring us the right order. Offered us 20 off next order. I would rather have my money back since we will never order from here again

Best pizza in NJ/NY area hands down!! Their grandma pizza is delicious crunchy/toasty and their tomato sauce is authentic Italian! They also offered GLUTEN FREE pizza since i told them i have some dietary restrictions. Love the service everyone was nice and attentive. Best price for delicious pizza, for sure recommend the "Grandma Pizza" & their All White pizza! Great job guys, please keep it up!

Scouting for the Pizza Hunters App. It was a NJ Boardwalk size slice. Just an average rating for me.. Pizza was a full your belly. The sauce was more like a paste to keep the cheese on tbe slice. The crust had little flavor and no crunch. Wasn't bad, wasn't great. Would do the trick if you are hungry.

Their pizza is everything you want the crust is baked to perfection and they are very generous with the toppings. They're known for their jumbo slices which are to die for! They also host pizza baking parties.. so fun! Highly recommend!

The pizza was delivered nice and hot and on time!!! The under crust was perfect. It also had the perfect amount of cheese to sauce ratio. I'll be ordering from here again. The zeppolies were great too and the anti-pasta salad was a hit. All were gone before I can take a picture.

Great service. Very nice fellow behind the counter. The buffalo chicken pizza was not great. But also, what do you expect? This slice of pepperoni was awesome. And the Chicago was good. Would return.

This place really went downhill used to be really really good. Got a sandwich today. It barely had anything on it. Other than lettuce soggy brown lettuce asked for mayo no mayo on it. Very dry. Won't be coming here anymore.

Stopped here again. Never a complaint. Hot and fresh all the time. You do get a lot of food for your money. Miss the arcade they use to have & jukebox.

Good pie.. I know the owner from Bloomfield..he got one of those Vegas champions pizza thing....good pie good people.

I'm very snobbish about my pizza so I tend to be tough on pizza places. I happened to be out and about today and I needed a quick bite for lunch so I stopped in at Boardwalk Pizza. I was greeted nicely by the young lady working the counter as I looked over the pizza. I decided on a plain slice (which was very large) and a slice of their Chicago style. Now, full-disclosure, I don't generally like Chicago-style pizza, but this was fantastic. The large plain slice tasted very good, but I would have liked a little more sauce and I wish it was a little crispier. Overall, I was a big fan. The Chicago-style has some big flavor and a great crispiness and wasn't a thick as a normal Chicago-style pie...and I liked that. I would happily come back. The plain NY-style was good, but might be better if I got a whole pie.

Really great pizza and friendly staff. The restaurant is clean and they offer many options. I always go for their chicken bacon ranch slice and my son love their plain slice.

Honestly, this might be the best pizza in NJ. Definitely the best in Essex County. The food is constantly great and the portions are generous. My only complaint is that they removed their arcade during Covid and never brought it back.

I placed an order for lunch for my office today was told it would 45-60 mins OK perfect no problem. Well here were are 2 hours later and we still don't have food, no one is answering the phone and the service they use to deliver is stating they can't issue a refund. Needless to say I've contacted my CC company and will be fighting the charges. I'm so disappointed because we normally pick food up at least 2-3 times a week! We ordered today for delivery today because of how busy it is in my office being year end. If they had said 2 hours I would have ordered from somewhere else and still used them in the future. But they have lost a customer because apparently they don't care about customer service or their customers for that matter!

I stopped here for lunch today and was kind of disappointed. So many Yelp reviews showed this amazing looking deep dish pizza, but apparently they only make it on certain days. I went with a slice of white, which was ok. So many pizzerias in NJ, one really needs to stand out to make an impression, and this one just didn't for me today.

My second time ordering here and I am upset because my pizza yet again is black and burnt, I order this personal pan pizza to go I should have checked it before leaving the place . I don't think I will order here again .

Great Great Great Pizza Just make sure the person taking your phone order knows what you want. I've have several experiences with the wrong pie. Suggestion to the owner: make sure your staff knows the menu. The by the slice is a real treat. Comes off a 32" pie. Good special, two slices and a soda. $10. Lots of choices in Fairfield for pizza. This one is worth the trip. Just make sure you get what you ordered.

*2.5 stars* I was looking forward to ordering from here due to all the great reviews, but I was let down tonight :( I ordered a deep dish pie, a gluten free pie, and a side of fries with cheese sauce on the side for take out. When I got home I realized the deep dish leaked all over my car seat, and when I looked at the pie it was COVERED in oil. Not a good first impression. The pie was very soggy (a little sogginess is to be expected from a deep dish pie, I get that) but this was extra soggy and didn't have much flavor. My mom had the gluten free pie and said it was very disappointing, the crust was cracker thin and crumbling. The way they describe the pizza on the website gave us high hopes but no luck. The fries were packaged in styrofoam so they were soggy and wet by the time I got home. Customer service was nice so that's one plus. Maybe I just ordered wrong.. the regular pies look so good. Not sure if I'd return but if I do I would try a regular pie.

Didn't live up to the Yelp hype. I went here based on the yelp pictures haha pizza looked great and the boardwalk thin looked amazing so I ordered a "we'll done" plain pie. Pizza came to the table with what looked like a half cup of oil floating on top of the pizza, literally soaked 10 napkins getting rid of most of it. Pick one slice up and it's as well done as a piece of wet toilet paper, whatever I guess the kid at the counter ignored me. First bite the thick layer of rubber cheese slides off half the slice. I'm not sure what kind of cheese they use but it taste like rubbery glue. Such a shame cause the sauce was good and the crush with the fried cheese was great but that thick hard rubbery cheese was a major issue for me and the 6 ounces of oil I assume from the cheap cheese. If they switch to a higher quality cheese I bet their pizza would be very good

Placed a $500 catering order a few months ago for a client lunch meeting. Pizza, calamari, and salads were all fantastic! Clients were truly wowed! The white pizza and the bang bang pizza are must-try.

After years of living in Fairfield and eating downright horrible pizza, I decided to try Boardwalk. My friends and neighbors told me it was worth a visit so I did last Friday night November 30th, 2023. I ordered everything pizza (Why? I can't tell you). I didn't receive the pizza I ordered as mine had Ham on it (no peppers or onions) which destroyed the taste of the crust, sauce, and cheese. I tried removing the ham but I could not remove the taste. My first mistake but If you know me, I always give a restaurant another chance as things can go wrong like mine. So tonight I tried again (Friday, December 1st 2023) by ordering a square margarita pizza. I specially requested the square 9 slice as it looked just like my grandmother would make me. Crust, Cheese, and Sauce all very good with no noticeable sugar in the sauce, good-tasting crust, and fresh Mozzarella. Altough the pizza was very tasty, this time the pizza was round when I got home. So, once again I did not get what I ordered. Really good pizza but getting the order right is job one? Someone who is taking the orders needs to go. I may go a third time but I'm not so sure my problem can be fixed with another Pizza? Rick Brillante

Ended up trying Boardwalk Pizza with a dinner Groupon, then ordering two of their gigantic pies for a lunch social event. Both experiences--great. Nice pizza. Had the Boom Boom chicken for dinner. Different. Delicious. A work of saucy art! Ordered two of their giant boardwalk pies for delivery for a lunch event for 16. (I made my own salad.). Delivered on time, and everyone oohed over biggest pizza ever. And tasty. I am a new fan.

Such a great pizzeria we bought a coupon. We were immediately waited on and the service was just so wonderful everybody that works there is very friendly courteous. All the soups came out fast and tasted great. I was especially impressed by the soup it was homemade and I would not expect it

Their pizza is amazing!! I am a huge fan of a grandma pizza and this place makes one of the best. My mother got the white pizza and a summer salad with Grilled Chicken. The white pizza was fantastic and their grilled chicken was just the way we like it...thin and full of flavor. My picky eater nephew loved their regular pizza and the margarita. We kept hearing about their famous boom boom Chicken slice so we got one to split. Highly recommend everything.

Ordered delivery and was not disappointed. Though I am a pizza lover I actually did not order pizza- was in the mood for a burger so I ordered a half-pound burger with Swiss cheese. It was very tasty! The burger was flavorful and cooked well- not dry at all! It was served on a brioche roll- a nice touch! The fries were also good- still hot and crisp, not soggy. I would say if you're in the mood for a burger, give this place Update: tried the pizza and it was excellent!

I stopped here because of their Detroit pizza I've heard about but decided against it because of price and I was by myself. $20 for small a little high. I went with one slice which the called fried cheese slice, looked more like a grandma type slice. It was a thicker type slice than usual places. Thought it tasted pretty good. Alsi had a white slice which tasted good as well. Next time I'll have to come with a friend and get the Detroit. Worth a trip? I think so.

After a failed attempt to get dinner delivered from a major chain, I decided to ride down the road about a half mile from my hotel and get some food from here. I ordered a stromboli and a slice of cheesecake. Almost immediately after placing my order online, I get a call from them saying they are out of cheesecake. Thanks for letting me know so quickly! I change to cannolis. Food was done when I arrived to pick it up, where I was greated nicely by a young woman. Went back to the hotel and ate - stromboli was good, cannolis were good. I will wait until I have been there several times before annointing them a 5 star, but a very good start.

I have been traveling around the tristate area for work and my coworker has been showing me a bunch of new spots. Stopped here for lunch and I was very satisfied with everything they had. There was a large selection of food on their menu but I went with their pizza. I had one "boom boom" slice (I believe that's the name) and one regular slice. The boom boom slice had celery, chicken, onions and multiples sauces. Their cheese slice of pizza is massive, totally worth it. Will definitely be coming back.

Tried Boardwalk Pizza a few years ago and di not like their pizza. I recently received a flyer in the mail with coupons. Placed a delivery order of various items (not pizza) and the food was not tasty nor did it justify the price....which was pricey. I also mentioned a free item coupon I had when I was placing my order. Gave the coupon to the driver as instructed and did not receive my item for free. I called the next day to ask for my refund and the person on the phone took some info from me and quickly rushed me off the phone. I never received my credit and no one called back to explain why. I will never go back to this place nor recommend it.

Boardwalk has become my go-to take-out/delivery spot. The food is always prepared exactly as ordered. My favorites are the square grandma pie--with its corner slices and deeply flavored red sauce. The crispy cheese crust pizza is unique and delicious. Also a big fan of the boneless wings--which when ordered "sauce on the side" stay 100% crispy in the to-go box.

Aside from its size, there's sadly nothing "Boardwalk" about this pizza. Stopped in specifically b/c of the catchy name. NJ boardwalk style is by far the best kind, so naturally I had to give it a shot. Simply put, bland, cheese is average at best and insufficient sauce. Only ate half of it. Don't make the same mistake I did. Want a Boardwalk" style slice? Head on down south. Yuck

Yes i am coming back here when i want amazing pizza. I highly recommend the Chicago deep dish pizza. It maybe expensive but it is everything and more!

Solid pizza all around love the different pies they offer but none of the local pizza places offer. Pictured is their boardwalk slim with caramelized crust. Just incredible! Their box of fries are on point with the perfect amount of salt and crisp! Most places uses the tins which cause them to get soft the box helps here keep them crisp :UPDATE: I removed a star because their website and in store prices are different and the "specials" online they don't know about when you call to place an order. Fix your online menu please.

Wow! Some really good pizza here. It's definitely a hidden gem located on the side of the highway in an area that seems dominated by office buildings. They deliver to the area, which is worth noting. I wish my office was closer! Upon walking in, you can smell the aroma of fresh pizza. They had a nice offering of different pies in the case, which is always something I appreciate. We ordered a large pie with half meatballs and garlic knots to go. I was happy with the size of the pie, definitely a good size pie with ample sauce. Great prices and value here for sure. I have a new favorite pizzeria in the area!!

The company is a place I would avoid. I went with a friend that works for pest control and sadly they agreed with me. This place can be much better.

I passed multiple pizza joints making my way back to the office in Fairfield with knowing my destination was to be Boardwalk Pizza. Glad I made it and got my fill of yum. Hurry there and order the new BACON PIZZA. Order it, you can taste the oink in every bite. Only one thing better there...the counter girls are hot.

I went to Boardwalk on their first Sunday afternoon open. The staff were obnoxious and arrogant. I specifically ordered a sub and when it came out INCORRECT the guy at the register would not correct HIS MISTAKE. It was o e of the worst pizzeria experiences - also my son would not eat the pizza- he said it was reheated soggy and so old it was NOT EDIBLE ALSO PRICES WERE HIGH $1.50 for a can of COKE. NO THANKS!!!!

Largest pizza I've ever seen!! Ordered from Grubhub for the office. They came within the expected time with a hot and ready pizza. It's a hit in the office! We will be ordering again. This huge pie fed four people for $30. I think thats pretty reasonable given the SIZE!

Got delivery from here twice in one week it was so good! BBQ chicken pizza is awesome! They use smoked chicken and the bbq sauce has a little kick but not overly spicy. We also had the plain cheese pie which was above average. The menu seems pretty basic, pizza, rolls, sandwiches, and salads. No entrees.

Boardwalk pizza went above and beyond to be a cozy, fun, unique spot to get some great boardwalk food with out traveling down the parkway. Decor is totally legit, I spent about thirty minutes starring at the giant old boardwalk photos from the 1920's trying to figure out what life used to be like a century ago @ the jersey shore. We had a 24 inch pizza that was absolutely perfect. Crust was firm but thin and crisp, sauce was sweet and the cheese was perfect. Totally awesome HUGE pizza! French fries, Zeppoles and the greek salad were also off the chain. As far I was expecting a generic lame greek salad when I ordered it but what came out had radishes, a homemade vinaigrette, awesome olives and nice salty feta cheese. It was totally awesome. The service was so above average and super friendly. I met the owner who was a genuine person who has put together a really awesome restaurant. We will definitely come back

Unfortunately, I won't be able to return. All of the employees don't bother to wear masks or gloves during this pandemic. The cashier will put one on if you enter. Would've gave 5 stars though because their food is really good. I will miss them.

I hosted an event here - without letting the restaurant knowing ahead of time. Bad etiquette on my part, but I honestly did not know exactly how many people would show up, and how many would want to go in on pizza with me. I had picked it out - without even being there before- based solely on Yelp reviews and pictures on the website. The entire staff was super cool, and all of the food was excellent! The kids enjoyed the small arcade, the place is pretty large, and I will hope to have another event here soon. Everyone had a good time, and we hope you didn't mind us walking In unannounced!!

Not sure if I was just starving or this could be some of the best pizza I have had - and I hand had a lot of pizza. Not what I expected but the skillet pizza was heavy and loaded with toppings; serious was amazing. If you are in the area and overwhelmed with the pizza choices I highly recommend Boardwalk Pizza!

Best pizza in North New Jersey! Amazing menu options! So many options to choose from! Speciality pizza's are delicious! Good service, clean facility, family friendly! Lots of space for large parties. Owners are very kind and give back to the community by working with charities. They also order catering. Love this establishment... never disappoints!

Mozzarella sticks and calzones were great. If you get the Groupon it's well worth it. We got about $30 worth of food for $20 (including price of Groupon). Only complaint I have is that they should check the dates on their sodas. My boyfriends soda expired in may and mine in August. Not a big deal cause I think soda has the "best by" date on it but, it's just one of those things that bothers me since I work in a grocery store and I know people have an issue with it lol.

$7 for a rice ball? That's insane. It didn't even contain any meat. SEVEN dollars plus tax for what taste like boxed minute rice and a few strands of spinach. Even if it contained meat that's still DOUBLE the price of any other place around here that serves rice balls. It's rice and spinach two of the cheapest things you can buy. I'm clearly not the only one who has this complaint and feels completely ripped off. Let's not talk about the $10 penne & butter on their menu. Yes BUTTER $10 . Rude management/owners.

Ordered delivery twice for quick lunch near a work meeting. Food is decent, delivery was quick and still Hot. I would recommend their soups over salads.

Only place locally to find "Chicago deep dish" I had never had a real one before so I don't know how to judge it, except it was very cheesy and filling. Sauce seemed a little bland for my taste. The calamari was very good and they even did the tentacles, which I love. Fried pickles were ok, they can be tough to get right and keep them crispy, flavor was good though. Staff was friendly.

Excellent food and variety. Really yummy pizza. Try thin versions and cheese crust version. Yummy.

My family and I order out sometimes from here because it's close to my mom's job. The pizza is really good! We wanted to get a heart shaped pie for Valentine's Day so my mom called and they were more than happy to make it for us! It was adorable and my whole family loved it. Went here on a tip from a friend and was very disappointed. This place was awful, the food was insanely over priced. 7$ for a rice ball are u kidding me. The conversation below between myself and the owner never happened it appears I'm not the only who feels this way.
